Earth's Stewardship
00:02:15
|
|
| Find a need and fill it. | |
| You know, we're made. | |
| I've been there all my life. | |
| Yeah, we're made to steward the earth. | |
| Yeah. | |
| You know, I mean, when we get to heaven, the Lord will say, what'd you do with your nation? | |
| We're called in the Great Commission and made disciples of our nations. | |
| That's it. | |
| And so he's going to say, well, okay, you know, winning the lost is primary. | |
| It's eternal. | |
| But there's a reason he put us on earth. | |
| There's a reason. | |
| And so, you know, we have responsibility. | |
| God so loved the world that he gave his son. | |
| So why didn't he say God just loved individuals? | |
| Yes, of course, again, the soul is primary. | |
| But because he loves his earth. | |
| Yeah. | |
| He loves the earth. | |
| He loves the animals and the birds and the trees. | |
| I know that sounds so weird. | |
| No, but I think one reason we haven't reached the next generation that, you know, I'm not talking about climate change, but, you know, whatever that might be, what I'm talking about is wherever we live, we should transform that area. | |
| And particularly believers. | |
| I believe that believers have a higher responsibility in the earth than people who are not in the kingdom. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And because we are to be the solution providers for the culture. | |
| Just as you were. | |
| Not the full solution for Mayfield. | |
| No. | |
| But you did your part. | |
| Right. | |
| And you used your voice to let other people know that they could plug in and be part of the solution for that. | |
| Yeah, by the way. | |
| I see this is like Morningside is like a command center. | |
| Yeah, it really is. | |
| And a commander is the leader of a command center. | |
| And a commander can reach out to people and say, you need to do this and you need to do it now. | |
| And then the resource will come. | |
| You call it in, and people respond, and then you can release it back out. | |

Christmas Outreach Success
00:02:12
|
|
| And this will be more important in the coming days. | |
| It's so amazing. | |
| My soul, our director is directing this right now. | |
| This show is, he went there, and our team was there. | |
| Our cameras were there. | |
| There's a lot more we want to show tomorrow and the next day. | |
| But the thing of it is, I shouldn't say it, but one of the female leaders came up to us, leaders from all the different organizations. | |
| Yeah, they do. | |
| And the female leader said, we want to get your name and address. | |
| What you people have done here is an example that if everyone would do this, it would make the thing go so much better. | |
| The need is the cost. | |
| And so that was something to have them tell us that. | |
| But we brought almost $20,000 worth of toys that they had collected, brand new toys, for Christmas. | |
| We had a big Christmas outreach here. | |
| And we have an outreach every year up here in the mountains because there's a lot of hill people that don't have money. | |
| And so we do that. | |
| So these kids, their toys were gone. | |
| They're wiped out at Christmas time. | |
| Everything was wiped out. | |
| And so we also brought food. | |
| And we had a truckload of fresh produce that we paid for and we helped pay for. | |
| We're doing more. | |
| And we sent buckets of food. | |
| I saw the buckets there, Pastor Joe. | |
| Did you see when they got there? | |
| We also had about $40,000 worth of clothes that we sent, too. | |
| Brand new clothes. | |
| Brand new clothes. | |
| Yeah. | |
| It filled up. | |
| The coats. | |
| You can't underestimate. | |
| I don't believe there was a coat left after the first hour. | |
| I made the coat. | |
| They just, they were so thrilled. | |
| They couldn't believe somebody was giving him brand new coats. | |
| Yeah. | |
| So we want you to donate. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Mike and I are donating. | |
| We want you to donate. | |
| And listen, I want to tell you something. | |
