Soaking In Adoration 00:03:29
In your teaching, you talk about the difference between seeking God for what he has called us to do and soaking in the spirit.
What was the difference there?
Well, I spend, I love, I love soaking.
We call it, it's one of my dear friends, Carol, actually came up with the term soaking in the spirit.
What we do first and foremost is spend hours just in adoration.
So, even in our prayer houses, we call people to come in adoration, to just come and adore him, not just ask for anointing, not just bring him a grocery list, but we come and we lay everything at his feet.
We receive from him whatever he wants, but we come and we adore.
And this is our daily, our daily practice.
This is, we come and we soak.
And every Saturday I soak with my dear friend, even though she's in another country.
We spend two, three hours just in adoration together.
And I do it with my team and other days.
But I also do it on my own.
And it's in that place that the Lord can drop down into your spirit.
He can put a word on your heart.
He can correct you.
He can bring you to a place of tears, a place of feeling, an overwhelming feeling of his intense love for you.
And he can also drop things into your heart.
Like when he dropped into my heart that, and Marina's right here, she can hear, she'll remember it.
I said, whatever we're doing, we're going to believe to feed 30,000 people, Emilia.
I came up with it somewhere, some strategy, but in soaking in adoration in my time with him, it dropped into my spirit.
And if you would just, so the two go together.
It's like John 15.
I'm just going to read one thing.
I'm the spreading vine and you're my branches.
As you live in life, in life union, in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you.
You don't have to worry about bearing fruit.
If you live in life union with him, fruit happens.
Fruit will come.
Anointing will come.
Whatever he has will come.
But the thing he desires most is intimacy with you.
Jesus wants intimacy with you.
Abba wants intimacy with you.
That's first and foremost and forever and eternal.
Let Me Nourish 00:02:56
And out of the intimacy flows fruitfulness, not the other way around.
And he says you can do nothing, nothing without him, nothing, nothing without him, nothing without the body of Christ.
But if you live in life union with me and my words live powerfully within you, powerfully within you, then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.
When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father.
I love you.
I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves you.
You must continually let me.
This is his request to you.
He's called you.
He says, let me, let me nourish.
Let my love nourish your heart.
How does that happen?
You have to slow down enough.
And you slow down enough in adoration to let your God nourish you.
I have to be nourished.
If I just go out and feed the people, whether it's me and my team of 50 as we go out in teams of 50, 35, 50, depends on where we are.
If I fasting, I'm fasting.
It gives me supernatural strength.
But if it's a day to eat and I just keep going, I'm just going to feed the people, feed the people, feed the people like all of us.
There's Pastor Balaza.
There's Pastor Philippe.
Feed the people, feed the people.
And we're not nourished, first of all, physically.
We don't have water.
Then how are we going to feed all those people?
And what's our point anyway?
Why do we want to feed all those people?
We want all of them to know the love of God.
We're not just feeding them for some, I don't know, some humanitarian idea alone.
Of course, we care about their natural state, but we want them to have eternal life.
But we have to know how to be fed ourselves to commune with him.
Otherwise, we burn out.
Whether we're a national, we're an international, doesn't matter.
So the Lord's saying now, keep the Lord Jesus says, if you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my father's command, for I continually live.
This is Jesus, continually live, nourished and empowered by his love.
And this is so cool.
And I know we're ending in a minute.
This is the really beautiful point.
