Prophecy and Discernment Working Hand in Hand
00:02:14
|
|
| You say that 1 Corinthians 14 is an invaluable tool for victorious warfare. | |
| Tell us more about that. | |
| Well, because we want to see prophecy and hearing the voice of the Lord, and we want to see discernment and prophecy working together. | |
| And we also want to function in a place of wisdom, but also love. | |
| See, discernment sees with the eyes of the Father. | |
| And sometimes what happens when people start discerning, they will brush it under the rug. | |
| They'll ignore it. | |
| They'll ignore the red flags, like what you were talking about. | |
| Don't do this. | |
| Watch out for this person. | |
| And then people think, oh, I'm being critical. | |
| Or, oh, this wasn't the Lord. | |
| But we need to take those things and we need to pray into those things. | |
| And so prophecy and discernment, they work hand in hand. | |
| And when we discern things, then we're going to be able to encourage. | |
| We're going to be able to edify. | |
| We're going to be able to build up. | |
| We're going to be able to exhort. | |
| And we're also going to be able to see what are the schemes of the enemy that have come into people's lives or into our nation, into culture, into society, to see those schemes of the enemy defeated. | |
| And so, you know, Paul says that we ought to earnestly desire that we prophesy. | |
| And so, you know, we have to have the voice of the prophets. | |
| Without a vision, the people perish. | |
| And I believe that prophecy and discernment and wisdom, revelation, work hand in hand together for us to be victorious in our prayer and in our intercession. | |
| And so, can I give you an example of where we have seen this happen? | |
| You know, this is more of a regional testimony that just happened recently. | |
| But I was with a group of intercessors and we were in the state of Ohio and we were praying. | |
|
Hidden Gem Revelation
00:04:21
|
|
| And we felt the Lord was showing, telling us to go on a prayer assignment. | |
| And so as we were praying, one of the prophetic intercessors heard this word, hidden gem. | |
| There's a hidden gem in the history, like Jim Stone, G-E-M, in the history of Ohio. | |
| And, you know, some people that aren't mature in discernment and hearing the Lord, they started moving on. | |
| And I said, wait, wait, wait, because I felt Holy Spirit say, no, no, no, that's a true word of the Lord. | |
| And I said, Lord, show us what you're showing us. | |
| And through a series of prophetic revelation that we then began to validate through research, we discovered that there was a revival awakening move in the state of Ohio through the Moravians with the Delaware Indians, also known as the Moravian Indians. | |
| And they had gotten saved, radically saved. | |
| Their whole village was transformed. | |
| You know, David Zinzendorf came from Germany and brought his spiritual son. | |
| His son was named David. | |
| I can't remember his last name right now. | |
| And it was in a place called Gnetenhutten. | |
| But they were persecuted for their faith and they were murdered. | |
| 98 of those Moravians were murdered. | |
| And the night before they were murdered, they were singing praises and hymns back and forth to each other and releasing forgiveness out to the militiamen that told them, you will all die in the morning. | |
| Two young boys escaped to tell the story. | |
| They all died, these Delaware Indians, Moravian Indians, glorifying the Lord. | |
| So we went, Jim and Lori, and we stood on that land. | |
| And I am telling you, standing on that land, I thought, oh, there was death here. | |
| We're going to go and we're going to weep. | |
| But when we got there, there was glory in the land. | |
| You talk about forgiveness. | |
| And so I didn't know there was a revival among, you know, even in the 1700s among Native Americans in our nation that loved the Lord. | |
| And there's this whole move now of God breaking out in his spirit and in his glory in that region, in the Northwest Territory, in that region of Ohio. | |
| Well, we had to have that discernment to hear what the Lord was saying and what he wanted us to release. | |
| And even on a dealing with the enemy level of this, I was just recently in a meeting in New York. | |
| I was telling you guys in the car last night. | |
| And there was this young gal. | |
| They'd been trying two and a half years to get her set free from a demonic stronghold in her life. | |
| Had not been able to get her set free. | |
| And they brought her to the altar. | |
| There was Holy Spirit fire and glory that was happening in that service. | |
| The whole conference came forward because we are in the beginning of this awakening. | |
| And we're seeing it everywhere. | |
| And they brought her up to the altar. | |
| And this is where it's beautiful. | |
| This is where prophecy and discernment work so well together to see people set free. | |
| I looked at her and instantly I knew through that gift of discernment she was bound by occult witchcraft from her past generations in her family. | |
| And so I started praying and she goes down on the floor and I went with her. | |
| And all of a sudden, the Lord showed me a vision. | |
| And in this vision, I saw, and I heard Holy Spirit say this, five generations back in her family, there was a woman involved in the occult that did a ritual to dedicate their family, their future family generations to a witchcraft spirit. | |
| So as soon as I said that out loud, I said, I see witchcraft. | |
| I see you. | |
| And I said that. | |
| That spirit, I don't talk to demons, but I upset it. | |
| It knows the authority and the power of the Lord. | |
| It manifested and it said, I hate you. | |
| You weren't supposed to see that. | |
| And I looked right at that spirit. | |
| I said, well, yeah, I've already seen you and you've been found out and you're coming out now in Jesus' name. | |
| And she got up off that floor, radically set free and transformed. | |
