Spiritual Warfare at Birth
00:04:04
|
|
| Where does spiritual warfare initially start then? | |
| Well, spiritual warfare initially starts in our minds. | |
| It starts in our minds. | |
| But let me just insert this, Pastor Jim and Laurie and Mondo. | |
| And I want to say this, is that spiritual warfare also starts or is ongoing when you are born or you are in your mother's womb. | |
| We have to look at the pattern, the model of Jesus. | |
| No, we're not Jesus, but we have the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead on the inside of us. | |
| And so we have that same power, that same authority that has been delegated to us. | |
| And so, number one, spiritual warfare initiates or starts in the mind, the battlefield of the mind. | |
| That's where the enemy wants to bring the warfare on the front line or the battlefield of our mind. | |
| And he wants to establish strongholds. | |
| But I want to go a little bit further and say that it starts at birth because the enemy, we can see with Jesus, before Jesus was even born, there was a prophecy. | |
| There was a prophetic word of a coming Messiah, of a coming savior, a governor that will deliver his people. | |
| And see, we've seen that who was agitated was Herod and all of Jerusalem. | |
| The whole region was troubled because of this announcement. | |
| And so many of you that are watching, many of you that are in the audience, even you, Pastor Jim, things that you have experienced and you had to go through this warfare, it doesn't matter how old you are or where you're from or the color of your skin. | |
| If you are a believer, your warfare starts at birth, but it also is ongoing when you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. | |
| But then it starts in your mind. | |
| He's always going to always remind you. | |
| And so Jesus experienced warfare before he ever came forth. | |
| It was the enemy's job through Herod, through the political system of the government to stop him. | |
| And Herod was mad and upset. | |
| And see, he sent an assassin. | |
| He sent assailants to kill Jesus before his time, before he ever was born. | |
| Think about yourself, that all that God has put on the inside of you, the prophetic dream, the promises. | |
| It doesn't matter how old you are, the very fact that you are alive is because you have overcome and you have won the battle. | |
| And there has been people that has been praying for you and angels around about you. | |
| So Jesus was a threat to the kingdom of darkness. | |
| The enemy was trying to keep him from coming forth to fulfill his assignment. | |
| We have to understand that the Bible said that Jesus was sent to do what? | |
| To destroy the works of the enemy. | |
| And he did that at the cross, but it didn't stop there. | |
| When he did that and he went down to hell and he got the keys to death and the grave and he ascended to the right hand of the Father, he's making intercession for us right now. | |
| Why? | |
| Because we need Jesus and the angels, the elangelic host, to help us as believers in the earth realm to continue this fight, to continue to advance this kingdom and to win souls that we can remove the veils of error and deception. | |
| And so my point is this, is that this ongoing fight, it starts in the mind, but it also starts at your birth. | |
| And just because you were born, you have given hell, if I can say hell, you have given hell a black eye. | |
| You have defeated the enemy even when you were born because the enemy threw everything at you just to keep you from being born. | |
| And Jesus, we can see that God spoke to Joseph in a dream and helped him to navigate and move Jesus out of danger until he came forth. | |
| And Herod was so upset. | |
| He had the young men, it was like a genocide and caused them to be killed. | |
| And so because of the promise, because of Jesus coming forth. | |
| So I say this, it is two things. | |
| It is the warfare in the mind, but also is at birth. | |
| And so you are here because God has need of you, and it's not over. | |
