2020 Was a Test. Did We Pass?

I want to say in your new book, you talk about belief that 2020 was the beginning of a huge test for the church.
Could you explain that right now?
Yes, sir.
Thanks.
Listen, I start the book.
I don't remember the exact words, but I just start the book by saying, look, for several years prior to 2020, my wife brought this up first, actually.
And then when she did, I was shocked.
I said, man, you took these words right out of my mind.
And I agree with you.
And what were her words?
She looked at me just out of the clear blue.
We were in our house in the kitchen.
I remember it.
And she said, I feel like something's getting ready to snap.
And now, you know, when a husband hears that, he's thinking, you mean you're getting ready to leave me?
I don't know.
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
And she said, no, no, no, no.
She said, I mean, in the world, she said, something's getting ready to snap.
And I can't put my finger on it.
I said, oh, my gosh, I can't believe you said that.
Even the word you're using is the word that's been in my mind.
I agree with you.
And I said, I don't know.
You can feel it in the air.
And I mean, you know, of course, we'd been through, you know, the beginning of the Trump days and the Mueller report and the impeachment and all of this stuff.
But for a couple of years prior to 2020, I just knew something.
And I remembered the words of prophecy that I gave on your show that things were going to snap and pop.
It was demonic.
We were in for a war, spiritually speaking.
And so when 2020 rounded, now I was still doing a lot of traveling.
I think I had been on your show.
I was in airports.
I was on airplanes right in the middle of the COVID, January, February, March.
And then it was like March when they really started kind of shutting things down and masking everybody up and putting people, closing businesses and churches and putting people in their homes.
But I can remember watching this unfold, and it didn't hit me immediately.
But as I began to hear governments of the world in one accord with the talking points, I mean, for the last decade, we've watched this happen basically only in our nation, the talking points of the fake news media.
You know, they all feed off of each other.
It's like somebody gives them a sheet of paper and they all say the same things.
Even the print media has the exact same headlines most of the time.
It's unbelievable.
But I started seeing that happen all over the world instantly.
And I said, oh my gosh, this is probably it.
Then I started hearing the draconian orders, the stomping of our Constitution, the stomping of the first and, you know, and the implication was in Second Amendment rights and our right to travel from state to state and the right to privacy and safety in our own homes.
And I started hearing all this and I said, here we go.
Here comes the lawlessness.
Here comes, I mean, the apostasy is going to come.
The falling away is going to come.
Churches are going to close.
People are going to get discouraged.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Discouraged.
They're going to go into despair.
People will fall away from the Lord or they'll fall away from a strong faith.
I could see it coming.
Well, now we see it.
I mean, it is still unfolding, guys.
This isn't over with yet.
I can remember in the early days, people told me, well, I'm just going to wait till everything goes back to normal.
And I, you know, before I come to church or whatever.
And I said, folks, it's not going back to normal.
It's like 9-11.
It's never gone back to normal since then.
We've had major wars since then.
TSA was formed.
The Department of Homeland Security was formed and all the ubiquitous spying.
And that was used to spy on a sitting president later and lying to a FISA court.

The FISA court was invented because of 9-11.
So this is that bad or worse.
And I can just remember saying that this is it.
I mean, this is the snapping.
And I opened my book by saying, now I know.
I know what it was I was feeling and my wife was feeling.
And now I know why, because now I see how it connects with prophecy.
Now I see how it's unfolding.
And I'm not claiming to be a prophet and that I've got everything charted out.
I'm just saying I can see it now.
I know where we're headed.
We're getting very, very close to the culmination of all things.
So that's what I meant, you know, 2020.
And by the way, guys, I'm going to say this.
Now, I'm not making a big deal out of this because I don't want to get into numerology or anything.
And I'm not trying to be sensational, but there is a connection here that I just want to point out.
And people can take it like they want it.
And that is this.
The number 40 is the number of judgment and testing in the Bible.
I mean, 40 days it rained and then the flood came.
40 years, well, 40 days, the spies were in the land and they were tested.
They came back with a bad report.
So they got 40 years of judgment.
They were disciplined.
They were held in the wilderness before they could finally see the promised land.
You could go on and on.
Now, King David's reign lasted 40 years, a time of testing for the nation of Israel.
I mean, good gracious, that's an hour's worth of preaching there.
Right behind him, his own son, King Solomon, who built the temple.
His reign, 40 years.
What a time of testing.
At the end of that, it basically failed and there was civil war and it split into two nations, etc.
I could go right up to the time of Jesus after the resurrection.
How long was he on the face of the earth?
40 days.
Well, you're saying, but what's he doing?
Well, the Bible tells us if the rulers of this age had only known, they would not have crucified the Son of God.
Well, and then it goes on to say that he made a spectacle, his cross, his resurrection, the whole Christ event made a spectacle of the demonic realm and just basically, you know, stuck his finger in the face of Satan.
And so that 40 days, he was telling Satan, you're now under judgment.
I'm claiming the earth.
I'm walking it for 40 days.
I am claiming it back for the kingdom of God, for the throne of God.
And then he ascended into heaven.
Then the church was born and the Holy Spirit was given.
So 40 is the number of judgment and testing.
Now, guys, I know our calendar is not the Hebrew calendar.
And I know it's not, you know, biblically connected in that way.
It's the Greco-Roman calendar, if you will.
But it's the calendar the whole world works by.
It's the business calendar of the world.
And the year 2021 that we're in now, that doesn't mean that we've only been here 2,021 years, as you know.
It marks the Christ event 2021, 2,021 years ago, approximately, give or take a few years, is the Christ event of the crucifixion, the resurrection, the whole gospel, the church being born.
You know, the book of Daniel says that in the last days, this Antichrist and the Antichrist system is going to change the dates and the seasons and the times.
I think we might, and I'm not trying to claim I'm a prophet here, but I'm just going to say it.
I think we might, not long from now, we're going to see the calendar changed, the date.
They can no longer abide by proclaiming the gospel through our date.
Every time an atheist signs his check, he's signing to the Christ event 2021.
2,021 years ago, the gospel was born through Jesus Christ.
I think they're going to change that.
But here's what I'm saying.
All of this began, Pastor Jim.
This goes to your original question, in the year 2020.
Add 20 plus 20.
It's 40.
I feel like it's the year of judgment and testing.
And by the way, judgment begins in the house of the Lord, the Bible says.
And for the first time in history since the birth of the church, all of the churches around the globe were basically shut on Resurrection Sunday, the one Sunday that represents the defeat of Satan.
So I think 2020 was huge, I think, prophetically.
My opinions, but a lot of them are tied directly to the Word of God.
Some of them aren't.
Some of them are just my opinions.
