Corporate Authority Over Principalities

| Wanda, most believers have been taught about our personal spiritual authority over the devil, but not about corporate authority. | |
| Can you tell us the difference between those two? | |
| Yeah, well, this was a part of my journey as well. | |
| You know, so much of what I grew up with was learning about our authority in Christ. | |
| And I really do believe in the larger picture that this was a revelation that was given to the church. a number of decades ago that was very needed, you know, to remember who we are and to know the authority that God's given us over the works of the devil in our own families and our homes. | |
| But as I grew in my own walk, and especially again, being in the church, I began to see a disconnect in terms of our authority as individuals and realizing, you know, we're not really even praying anymore about personal things. | |
| These are corporate strongholds that we are dealing with now. | |
| There are principalities and powers. | |
| And the reason that they are there is because there is a corporate mindset that is lining up with the lies of the devil, with those ungodly beliefs and mindsets. | |
| Therefore, it's going to take a corporate authority to displace those. | |
| And this is where I saw as an intercessor also that disconnect because we can come with a personal authority in our own life. | |
| But if we're going to address corporate principalities, that means we have to be together. | |
| There has to be a level of unity and agreement in the spirit, oneness in the spirit, in order to displace those demonic principalities. | |
| And I believe that this is what the Holy Spirit is calling the church to right now. | |
| This is why there's so much tension, you know, unfortunately within the body of Christ, is because we've got to work through some of these issues that in past years we've wanted to put to the side or we haven't wanted to deal with. | |
| You know, and we've all just kind of gone off in our own camps and decided, well, we're just going to, you know, be together. | |
| The only way we're going to defeat these things and displace these principalities is when the body of Christ learns what are those non-negotiables? | |
| What are those things that we're going to agree on? | |
| And it's not just the prayers that we pray either. | |
| It is the lives that we live. | |
| You know, I believe that prayer is powerful, but prayer has to come through a righteous people. | |
| It's not just, you know, quoting scripture. | |
| The devil knows scripture. | |
| We've got to demonstrate it. | |
| And so this is what the Lord is doing, even in this hour, as we're being tested and tried as the body of Christ. | |
| Are we going to walk the talk, you know, in terms of authority and an honor and in having that purity of heart and being clear? | |
| And so this is something, again, that the book really helps believers go through. | |
| And I encourage people to do it together because there's a whole video series that goes with this book that I encourage groups to go through together. | |
| So it's even, you know, it's great to read individually, but I really encourage people to go through it in a small group or in a prayer group. | |
| I've had groups as large as 40 go through it together because that solidifies then what do we really believe and why? | |
| And are we really in agreement and are we walking this out? | |
| Because the spiritual realm, you can't fool the spiritual realm. | |
| We might be able to fool each other, but we, you know, we're going to be seen in the spirit for who we really are, not just for what we say. | |
| And so this is the challenge. | |
| You know, can we do that? | |
