The Day of the Lord Is Darkness

| A couple days ago, I was with dad, you know, and I and I just started talking to him. | |
| And as I've been searching the word of God, seeking God out, and I, and I just truly stumbled upon this scripture, and I felt like the Lord began to reveal to me through the scripture regarding the days ahead, the days that are to come. | |
| But I want you to follow with me right now. | |
| You know, open the word. | |
| Go to Amos 5, chapter 5. | |
| It's titled, The Day of the Lord is Darkness. | |
| Woe to you that desire the day of the Lord. | |
| Why do you want the day of the Lord? | |
| It is darkness and not light. | |
| As if someone fled away from a lion, but a bear attacked him or got into the house and rested his hand on the wall, but a snake bit him. | |
| And Amos repeats again, he says, will not the day of the Lord be darkness and not light? | |
| Will it not be deep darkness with no brightness in it? | |
| And I remember sitting there thinking, I'm like, God, your word is clear. | |
| It's simple. | |
| Your word, Lord, is telling us that in the last days that there is going to be, and you even say in your word, Lord, you say deep darkness. | |
| And when I came upon that scripture, the Lord showed me two things. | |
| He said, that time of darkness is both spiritual, where we will see a deep darkness in the lives of people, in their spiritual lives. | |
| We will see them abandon the Lord, abandon the things of God. | |
| But not only will it be spiritual, it will also manifest in the very physical. | |
| And so I went to my dad and I truly, I went to his studies and I pulled out his study that he did on these scriptures. | |
| And this is where it led me to, to Joel, and we have said it on this broadcast, but let's go here really quickly. | |
| Joel 2. | |
| The Lord says that in the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. | |
| Then your sons and your daughters will prophesy. | |
| Your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions. | |
| We're seeing that happen right now. | |
| That is taking place right now. | |
| Even on the men servants and maidservants, in those days, I will pour out my spirit. | |
| Then I will work wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. | |
| The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and all-inspiring day of the Lord comes. | |
| Listen to what he's telling. | |
| Let's just take a moment really quickly because this is what Pastor Jim has been preaching and teaching us. | |
| This is what the prophets, the teachers, Tom Horne has been teaching us this. | |
| We need to open our ears. | |
| It says the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and awe-inspiring day of the Lord comes. | |
| And it will be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | |
| So as I sit here today and as we read through these verses, guess what the Lord is saying? | |
| The Lord is saying that before my return, the sun and the moon will grow dark. | |
| There will be a deep darkness that will come upon this land. | |
| I think about Tom Horne, who has recently written a book about the wormwood, the asteroid. | |
| You can go into Revelation, where all of a sudden, Revelation, John is revealing that he's seeing a potential, what we believe is an asteroid that will hit the earth. | |
| And it's repeated again that the sun and the moon will grow dark. | |
| These are the warnings. | |
| These are the signs of the times that the Lord is instructing. | |
| And he's saying, will you wake up? | |
| Will you read the word? | |
| I'm not trying to hide this from you. | |
| I want to make it clear that you may see the days that are ahead. | |
| You may be able to determine and have discernment to understand the times that we are living in. | |
| And as we sit here, Mondo, you know, we do believe in preparedness. | |
| We believe in preparedness because we believe that there is going to be a time where the sun and the moon will grow dark. | |
| There will be great famine. | |
| So, guess what? | |
| We believe, we say, let's prepare. | |
| Common sense tells us. | |
| And the word of God, the wisdom, the discernment of the Lord tells us: prepare with food. | |
| Have food. | |
| Be prepared that you may be able to feed yourself. | |
| You may be able to sustain during these difficult times. | |
| Have water, clean water, have solar energy. | |

| We are committed to continuing to prepare the church with tools, with the word of God, to understand that we are living in the days that have been prophesied before through the prophets, Ezekiel, Amos, Daniel. | |
| We are the generation. | |
| I truly believe it with all my heart that we are the generation who will see the return of the Lord. | |
| So I want to, I just want, I feel so led just to say, will you take a moment and will you think to yourself, will you look at your family? | |
| I know that this is what I've done. | |
| I know that I've taken a moment and I've looked at, I've looked into the eyes of my two children and it looked into the eyes of your grandchildren, your sons, your daughters. | |
| And I literally said to myself, and I say this for my husband and myself, we literally asked ourselves, God, if there was ever a day where we couldn't feed our children, I believe that the Lord would hold us accountable for that. | |
| I truly believe that He will hold us accountable for knowing the truth because we have sought the truth. | |
| We have sought it and He has revealed it to us. | |
| Therefore, we know the truth. | |
| Therefore, we will be held accountable to the Lord for those loved ones in our lives who, guess what? | |
| Our job as mothers, as fathers, as grandparents is to prepare, prepare our homes, prepare for those that we love, | |
