Encouragement Amid Weary Times
00:04:42
|
|
| I want to talk about not being weary. | |
| Yes. | |
| And I get weary. | |
| So I'm with you. | |
| I understand that. | |
| Sometimes I don't even want to get out of bed. | |
| I'm just weary and worn. | |
| You know. | |
| And it's time for us to look up. | |
| You know, no matter what, he said he's going to bring us through. | |
| You know, David, I love the Psalms. | |
| David's in the Psalms. | |
| Yes. | |
| Here's what he said. | |
| Psalm 42, 6. | |
| Listen to this. | |
| Here he says, I'm standing here depressed and gloomy. | |
| Wow. | |
| I'm really encouraging you now. | |
| But that's David, the man after God's own heart is saying, I'm standing here depressed and gloomy, but I will meditate upon your kindness to this lovely land where the Jordan River flows, where the Mount Hermon and the Mount Mazar stand. | |
| So he's saying, I'm going to think about some good things. | |
| You know, the Bible talks about thinking about those good things, to dwell upon them. | |
| The things that are positive, the things that are good. | |
| The things you're grateful for in life. | |
| Amen. | |
| Don't worry about anything, the Bible tells us. | |
| And so tomorrow, we don't know what's going to happen with our government, with our politicians. | |
| There is, boy, I was going to say hell in the camp, but there's demon power in this country. | |
| The power of Satan has come to earth. | |
| And we're living in the final times. | |
| We're living in the Revelation days. | |
| And, you know, we do a broadcast, and the news this week is horrendous. | |
| But the news is horrendous every week. | |
| And so we need to be able to say, I look to you, Lord. | |
| Right. | |
| Yes. | |
| I'm going to cast how many cares? | |
| All my cares. | |
| How many are all? | |
| All. | |
| This is what it means. | |
| Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you. | |
| Yes, he does. | |
| Amen. | |
| All right. | |
| So Philippians 4, verse 5, the Lord is coming soon. | |
| Do not worry about anything, it says, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. | |
| You know, the key to success is being thankful. | |
| Yes, thanking God. | |
| I'm so thankful for you that support us. | |
| I thank God for you almost every day. | |
| I thank God for you all the time. | |
| And I try to thank you back. | |
| I try to tell you thank you, but I don't thank you enough because thanksgiving is from God, you know, to be thankful. | |
| And when God does something and you're thankful and you thank him, he gives you more. | |
| That's right. | |
| Amen. | |
| It adds up. | |
| Do you understand that? | |
| Completely. | |
| Yes. | |
| So he says, do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for what? | |
| Everything you need. | |
| That's right, yes. | |
| So we can ask God. | |
| Our ministry right now, we need finances to go through this next month or two. | |
| We got behind, but we've been that there before. | |
| You know, with the Bible, you know, David would always say, well, I just think back about, you know, a good thing. | |
| I think back and the time you brought me through. | |
| You're stealing my sermon inside of my mind because David said, I have to encourage myself in the Lord. | |
| And what did he do? | |
| He went back and be thankful about the great things God came through on his life with. | |
| You're absolutely right. | |
| You're preaching a good sermon. | |
| The Lord is coming soon. | |
| Amen. | |
| I'm reading the scriptures. | |
| You can say amen today. | |
| Amen. | |
| Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need. | |
| What do you have need of? | |
| Let's agree together in Jesus' name. | |
| God spoke to me today to preach on encouragement. | |
| Come on. | |
| We're going to have our water friends on today, but we're going to right now, we're just talking about encouragement. | |
| And God's peace, which is so great, we cannot understand it. | |
| The Bible. | |
| I'm reading the scriptures. | |
| Keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. | |
