Protecting Our Border

| What would you advise the president, maybe have advised the president, about the border situation? | |
| We have. | |
| So I gave the president a proposal, literally the president. | |
| So we had dinner one time and I gave him a, James and I drafted a proposal. | |
| And I've been working on this since the time of George W. Bush with the Bush administration. | |
| So and I worked with Senator Marco Rubio on the matter. | |
| As it pertains to the border, I'm going to make this simple. | |
| We are a sovereign nation. | |
| Yes. | |
| And we need to protect our border. | |
| Matter of fact, the idea of open borders is chaos and anarchy. | |
| And it's antithetical to the sovereignty of a nation. | |
| It makes no sense. | |
| It's against the rule of law. | |
| We want people to come here legally, but we need to stop all illegal immigration immediately. | |
| And that would solve the problem. | |
| But you're going to open the doors wide for people to come in the right way. | |
| Right. | |
| So it's the Ronald Reagan adage. | |
| If we're going to build a wall, you know, we're going to have to build a big door that enables them to come in. | |
| I actually said, we'll build. | |
| But the thing is, this idea, we can solve this. | |
| We can not only just build a wall, we can incorporate infrared technology, satellite imaging. | |
| Hey, guys, we can read a license plate in Afghanistan from miles up from a satellite. | |
| You're telling me that we can't find 1,000 people carrying backpacks over the Rio Grande? | |
| Of course we can. | |
| It's a matter of resource utilization. | |
| But it's not just because we're a sovereign nation that we deserve to protect our citizenry. | |
| It's even from a humanitarian standpoint. | |
| I know this firsthand. | |
| What they do to little girls and boys. | |
| Oh, God. | |
| If you care about these wonderful people who are created in the image of God, 98.9% of them are not coming here to engage in nefarious activities. | |
| They're coming in here for a better life. | |
| We wanted to come in here legally. | |
| But these are people created in the image of God. | |
| Stories about rapes. | |
| We're talking about nine-year-old girls, eight-year-old girls. | |
| The coyotes, the exploitation, the sex trafficking that takes place. | |
| So the idea that let's open up the borders, let them come in here illegally. | |
| We are literally jeopardizing the lives of human beings. | |
| So we must stop the illegal immigration. | |
| But I likewise propose to the president, what do we do with those that are currently here? | |
| And that's where we, in my proposal, which was unique, I said those that are currently here that have been here for years, where their kids were born here, this is what we should do. | |
| One, we should find a way to, if they're not living off welfare, if they're not living off government subsidies, and they are working, hardworking, the vast majority are hardworking. | |
| About 90-something percent are hardworking. | |
| Oh, yeah. | |
| So they're hardworking. | |
| They work 14, 16 are beautiful people. | |
| They're in our churches. | |
| This is what we should do. | |
| We integrate them. | |
| We give them a permanent green card. | |
| You can never live off welfare. | |
| You could never have committed a crime other than come in here illegally. | |
| So if you're involved in drug trafficking, nefarious activity, you're out of here. | |
| We're deporting you. | |
| But if you are a hardworking, God-fearing person, we're going to leave you in the country, but there's a price to pay for coming in here illegally. | |
| You're never going to become a citizen, ever, You'll never become a citizen, ever, ever, ever. | |
| Your children should not pay for the sins of their parents. | |
| They can become citizens, but you'll never become citizens. | |
| That's the proposal I gave the president. | |
| Jared Kushner right now is currently working with the proposal, elements of it, and hopefully and prayerfully will be able to cross this Jordan as soon as possible, unite the country, stop illegal immigration, and help these people fulfill and live out the American dream. | |
| Doesn't that sound like a good idea? | |
