Praying For Authority
00:01:57
|
|
| There is a key issue. | |
| I learned this praying for Lyndon Johnson because I was just fed up with the way that Southeast Asian war was going on. | |
| And the Lord asked me one day, he said, do you know him? | |
| I said, no, sir. | |
| He said, do you know anybody that knows him? | |
| I said, no, sir. | |
| He said, sounds like to me you don't know much. | |
| I said, you're right, sir. | |
| He said, now I told you in my word, first of all, pray for kings and those in authority, that the church live in honesty and peace and godliness. | |
| Now you get busy. | |
| So I just started praying for him in the spirit. | |
| And just started praying for him in the spirit. | |
| According to Romans 8, 26 and 27, I just kept praying for him in the spirit. | |
| I fell in love with the guy, man. | |
| And he came on television then several months later, and I had just walked into the room and just flipped the TV on, and he was on. | |
| Now, before I'd say, you know, I wonder what he wants. | |
| When I heard his voice, I just flipped it on and walked into the bathroom. | |
| I heard his voice. | |
| The love of God rode up on inside of me. | |
| Instead of criticism. | |
| Now, he's just a man that needs Jesus. | |
| Instead of wasting my time being critical and judgmental and let it eat a hole in me, it didn't hurting them. | |
| But my faith is not working when I do that. | |
| Because faith works by love. | |
| No love, no faith. | |
| No love, no gifts of the Spirit. | |
| Are you listening? | |
| No love, no grace. | |
| It's still powerful. | |
| For it is by faith, so that it might be by grace. | |
| So you just need to stay in love and just stay strong in Jesus and don't let anything bother nor bug you. | |
