Understanding Israel's Challenges
00:05:06
|
|
| How can we understand what Israel's facing? | |
| You get into the minds of the Israeli force a little bit. | |
| Yeah, I think the closest we've come to understanding the challenges and the unstable environment that Israel faces happened on 9-11 when we experienced terrorism, true terrorism, really for the first time. | |
| And I think it was short-lived, but there was an identification with what Israel goes through every day. | |
| Think of this. | |
| Israel is surrounded by, they're just a little tiny island of democracy surrounded by an Islamic world that really ultimately wants them gone. | |
| There's a one-state solution for the Islamic world, and that's not the Jewish state. | |
| It's to push Israel into the sea. | |
| And Israel has to live with that every day. | |
| I don't think Americans can understand the pressure that it's like to be living in Israel. | |
| And it's true. | |
| I'll tell you, we had an experience, Jim, and I know I've shared it on the show before, but I have to share it again. | |
| And I even went into Jim last night after listening to your message. | |
| And I mean, I literally started crying because I remembered when we were in Israel in 2014 with Rabbi Jonathan Kahn, and we needed to find a chiropractor. | |
| And so we found this woman chiropractor. | |
| And so Jim, myself, a couple of the students, I don't think, Mondo, you weren't with us. | |
| So we got into a cab, and the cab driver had the radio blaring, the Jewish cab driver, you know, and speaking Israeli. | |
| And I'm like, what's wrong? | |
| What's going on? | |
| And then he tried to tell us that rabbis had been killed. | |
| And so we get to the chiropractor. | |
| We go up these little flight of stairs. | |
| It's a tiny little office. | |
| And it's a woman, chiropractor. | |
| And she's full-blooded Jewish, but she was born and raised in San Francisco Bay Area. | |
| And she said, excuse me, but I have to call and check with my family and my neighborhood and make sure everybody's okay because of this, the killings of the rabbi. | |
| And I said, what are you doing here? | |
| Why are you here in Jerusalem in this tiny little spot? | |
| And she said, I can't explain it, Lori. | |
| All I know is I felt led to come back home. | |
| She wasn't a born-again believer. | |
| She was a Jewish woman who just felt led to come back home. | |
| And that's what's happening. | |
| Lori, that's Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes. | |
| Before our eyes. | |
| God said that a day would come in that day by Yom Hahu when God would restore his people, the scattered people of Israel, back to their land. | |
| And we're witnesses of that, not only in 1948 with the establishment of the state of Israel, not only in 1967 with the restoration of Jerusalem, which was a direct fulfillment of Jesus himself, that Jerusalem would be trodden down by the Gentiles until a set time in history when the time of the Gentiles would be fulfilled. | |
| That came to pass. | |
| And the Jewish people now returning from the north, Jeremiah 16, that God will no longer be known as the God who brought us up out of Egypt. | |
| This is a watershed event in Jewish history, the exodus out of Egypt, but will be known in the last days as the God who brought us back from the north. | |
| It's not North America. | |
| It's not North Carolina. | |
| It's talking about north of Jerusalem. | |
| It's talking about Moscow. | |
| It's talking about Russia. | |
| It's talking about the former Soviet Union. | |
| Today, there's over a million Russian-speaking Jews restored back to their land. | |
| 130,000 from Ethiopia directly mentioned in Isaiah 11 from Cush, speaking of Ethiopia, back in the land. | |
| And didn't you just do like DNA studies on these people and found out that they really are Jewish? | |
| Well, we've been doing DNA tests on different groups that we've been encountering in Africa. | |
| A recent one is the Lemba tribe in Zimbabwe. | |
| And the Bush of Zimbabwe, here's Jewish people that are not only proven to be descendants of Israel, but directly from the tribe of Levi. | |
| Isn't that amazing? | |
| DNA is, they've been saying it for 800 years. | |
| Now DNA proof is substantiating their claim. | |
| We're working with some groups I can't even talk about in like places like Somalia land and Somalia Jews from different tribes and the DNA is proof that they are in fact and they're going back to their land. | |
