Why The Church Shies Away 00:01:36
John, why has prepping been looked at as such a negative thing for the church?
The world has done it.
We've seen shows about it on popular news networks.
I mean, not news networks, but popular networks about preppers that are getting ready for the end times, but the church has kind of shied away from it.
Well, I think the root problem is that the majority of Christians in the church think we're going to have an easy out, that we're all going to be out of here before the bad stuff hits.
And if that's your mindset, why do I need to prepare?
God's going to take care of me.
But the Bible says faith without works is dead.
And like I say, if you could only understand how that thinking that we're out of here before hard times, let me tell you, that kind of thinking didn't help the Jews in the Second World War.
That kind of thinking is not helping the Christians in the Middle East right now.
What does the Bible say?
The Bible says we will see tribulation.
It says we are not accounted to wrath.
I am fully assured we're going to see hard times, but I'm also fully assured that we're going to be out of here when the wrath of God comes down.
I mean, look at Noah.
You know, he might have been bouncing around in the wrath, but he wasn't in the wrath.
And as far as being on the earth and escaping the wrath of God, I don't see that as an option.
No, I see God pulling us out.
And if anything, we get to be observers.
