The Internet's Political Decider 00:01:40
I heard President Obama say that this was years ago, but he said that the Internet got him elected.
Right.
That he utilized it so mightily that he got ⁇ but Trump can't use it, they say, because he's doing things on it they don't like.
I think it shows his personality and he bypasses all the writers.
But I hate it when journalism is so corrupted that it has the power to destroy.
Because they're thrashing in a new age that they don't know how to work in.
You mentioned Obama's statement, which was prophetic, how the Internet has become the crucial political decider.
Abraham Lincoln, telegraphy was crucial in getting out his famous debates with Douglas that made him a national candidate.
1932, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and then the fireside talks.
It became radio.
1960, Jack Kennedy knew how to work a camera, Richard Nixon did not.
2016, 2017, the Internet is now the way we communicate and reach to each other.
So, of course, he's going to drive them crazy when it's, okay, I'm no longer going to do a press conference with you people.
Or I should actually look off and make believe that you're all the journalists.
I don't need that anymore.
I can go straight through the Internet here and I can reach every American in a matter of seconds.
