Must-Read Theological Insights

|
| Carl, I want to know one or two things that's in this book, God's Ethrones. | |
| A couple of things that you feel that are must-read, that you want people to read in your new book. | |
| Well, let me do it like this. | |
| I cover so many topics. | |
| First of all, in the introduction, I say here, and I believe this, and I say this very humbly, but I really believe that there, I don't know of any other book that deals with the theological topics, and there are about a dozen here, that need, in the times we're living in, need to be dealt with from the pulpits and in our Bible study classes, that takes these theological issues, | |
| lays a solid contextual, exegetical, theological platform, then, Pastor Jim, moves it from that to the headlines of today's world, moves it from that back to the prophetic nature of the word of God and how all of that ties in, what's really happening, the God's behind the thrones and what the thrones really are and how that's impacting our daily lives, how it's impacting our world. | |
| And then moves it from there. | |
| The last four chapters is all about what is really coming. | |
| Bigger things are coming. | |
| The kingdom of God is on its way. | |
| We talk a lot about the kingdom of Antichrist, and that's a part of it. | |
| But the kingdom of Jesus Christ is on its way. | |
| And our part in it, our part in it, according to the word of God, we're not going to be fat little Greek babies sitting on clouds playing harps. | |
| We're going to be ruling and reigning with Jesus Christ. | |
| We're going to be judging the angelic realm that fell. | |
| We're going to be judging the nations. | |
| We're going to be a part of the divine council, the holy council of God. | |
| That's his plan. | |
| We're joint heirs with Jesus Christ. | |
| We're ruling. | |
| And so the last four chapters ends with that. | |
| But it begins, Pastor Jim, in the Garden of Eden, takes you right through the book of Revelation and shows you with theological underpinning from 26 scholarly sources exactly the nastiness of what happened, what's happening, what it's all about, all of this stuff we've been talking about. | |
| And then it winds up with just hitting you when it just unfolds before you that's what I'm seeing in the world. | |
| Now, anecdotally, let me close with this, if you don't mind. | |
| This is anecdotally, but this hit me the other day. | |
| This was totally unsolicited by me. | |
| But one of the early readers of the book, to me, this is a good description because you asked, what's it about? | |
| This is what he said. | |
| I can't use his name right now because I haven't asked permission, but he is a mover and shaker in the Christian news and ministry community. | |
| He is an author, and he's very well known. | |
| And he read the book, and he called me up, and he said, he said, you know me, Carl. | |
| You know I'm not an emotional man. | |
| And I said, yes, I know that. | |
| And he said, I took a whole day off to read your book because it so intrigued me. | |
| I finished it. | |
| When I shut the last page, he said, my eyes welled up with tears, and I thought, I finally get it. | |
| Now I see what is happening, why it's happening. | |
| He said, I walk outside in my yard. | |
| He said, I could see it. | |
| I could see it. | |
| I could feel it. | |
| And he said, now I know my place in it. | |
| Now I understand it. | |
| And he says, now I know the depths of it. | |
| He said, this has changed my life when I never thought my life could be changed like this. | |
| And he says it completely changes the way I read the word of God because now I see what's really happening. | |
| I pray that God will use that and have that same kind of impact on everybody that reads it. | |
| But Pastor Jim, that's just an anecdotal and a quick overview, but it covers dozens of topics bringing it together. | |
| The gods that are behind the thrones, that's what's happening. | |
| Everything we've been talking about, Paul said it as simply as this. | |
| Our battle is not against flesh and blood. | |
| See, spiritual warfare isn't about, well, I didn't eat two bowls of ice cream tonight. | |
| I only ate one because, you know, the devil tried to make me do it, and I didn't cuss that much today because I was in spiritual. | |
| That's not spiritual warfare. | |
| No. | |
| Spiritual warfare is bringing down the nations to have the kingdom of Satan. | |
| And we are there. | |
