North Korea Sanctions Threat 00:15:24
Will North Korea strike the United States?
Are your kids being filled with propaganda from Disney?
And are planes falling out of the sky?
All of this and more on Revelation in the News.
Hello and welcome to Revelation in the News.
I'm your host, Ricky Baker.
Today we have a very intense topic that is touching the ears of everyone here in America.
And right before the show, John, you actually had an interview with a man named Darren Parker.
I did.
And Darren Parker has 20 years of training law enforcement, SWAT officers, and security personnel.
He's received numerous awards and commendations, including the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Gold Medal.
And whenever we need a true security expert, this is the man we call.
So let's take a look at what he said today.
The president's comments have come under fire, fury, and power and have come under scrutiny.
Should he have taken a softer approach, Darren?
The whole reason why we're in a situation is because of the softer approach.
I think we've been doing that from the very get-go.
And this is why we're in a situation now where something has to be done.
And it can't get any softer than that.
I mean, we're in trouble.
Well, let me read you one of these comments.
Scott Snyder said, Trump is running the risk of entrapping himself in his own rhetoric.
This has not happened overnight.
This has been going on for decades.
There hasn't been any rhetoric until now.
And the reason why we have to have rhetoric now, and I'm not saying rhetoric, because I believe Trump will do it.
I believe what he says he will do.
So the problem has been, though, in the past, it has been just rhetoric.
They talk sanctions.
They talk harsh, they use harsh words.
It doesn't do anything.
But now we're in a situation where we have no choice but to follow through.
We have to do something.
Something has to happen.
Now, the thing I loved about that is him answering the question of should he had a softer response to North Korea.
What do you guys think?
Now, I absolutely agree with this.
I don't think that he should have backed down at all because with a North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, who, you know, honestly, I think is a little bit crazy.
He needs to see that we're not a weak country and that we're not going to back down from the statements we have made.
We're not going to redact the things we say.
Well, and I understand in 20 years of diplomatic solutions with North Korea, we are at the point we're at.
So you have to ask yourself, has that worked?
Has paying them money to calm down worked?
No, it actually probably afforded them the opportunity to purchase the uranium necessary to create a nuclear missile.
You know, I think we're all saying this.
Is Trump doing this?
Trump's saying this?
Truthfully, at this point, with what all North Korea has said, I think any president would, at this point, be like, okay, it's over.
It's time to go.
So I don't really know why we're targeting Trump because I think almost anyone would do this.
I think we also have to realize that he's surrounded by military generals that are advising him.
So anything that he says is going to be backed up by the advice that he's getting from people that are well-versed in war.
And I honestly don't believe that President Trump would go out there and say to pretty much the entire world, you know, if you mess with us, we're going to have to take action if he didn't know that we were capable of taking that action.
You know, he's not going to say we have the best nuclear arsenal, we have the best military, if he's not willing to back those statements up or if they're not proven by our military generals.
And in the end, I think he's also trying to, you know, make us feel safe, say, hey, you know what?
We got your back.
And you know, one thing I actually honestly don't understand right now is the fact that people are becoming angry that President Trump is making these statements to North Korea.
It's like they want us to look like a weak nation.
At this point, we can't afford to be weak because North Korea will drop those nukes if afforded the opportunity.
And, you know, another crazy thing is that North Korea is actually threatening Guam of all places.
They feel like it honestly feels like they're trying to pick on the little guy.
Yeah.
Guam is the only specific target that North Korea designated to strike.
You know, they've always said, hey, we're going to strike America.
We're going to strike somewhere at some time.
But they specifically pointed out that they're going to strike Guam and that they have a plan.
And they've even put out a plan saying in the near future, probably mid-August.
Now, do you think they're striking a place like Guam because they can't really defend themselves or because they really don't have a missile that can reach America and it can only reach a certain area?
Honestly, with what's going on, North Korea is going to challenge anyone who supports the United States.
So in this case, Guam is an ally.
South Korea is an ally.
Japan's an ally.
You know, there's so many places closer to North Korea that could also become a target if they take a stand.
So I guess my question is, why Guam?
I know.
Well, Guam is such a tiny place.
So that's everybody's question at this point.
Guam is a U.S. incorporate territory of about 160,000 people.
The citizens of Guam are U.S. citizens.
Guam has a large military base equipped with B-1 and B-2 bombers and thousands of military personnel.
So I guess we can kind of see why they're actually attacking them.
They have a huge military base.
There's a lot of U.S. military personnel, and they could even use it as kind of like target practice.
Now, John, you asked Darren a question, and the question was, why hasn't diplomacy worked?
Let's check out his response.
Almost ever since I've been alive, diplomacy has not worked.
Now, why is that?
You have to have enforcement behind it.
We have no enforcement.
Look, back in the, I mean, after World War II, the Japanese controlled Korea.
And after World War II, it split.
Russia was on the north, and we were on the south.
And then once Japan left, then North Korea attempted to, well, they did, they invaded South Korea, and that's brought on the Korean War.
And then, so then it absolutely separated that country into the two, North and the South.
Ever since then, there has been some form or fashion of some kind of sanctions, warnings, something.
And it's happened throughout from that period to now.
Just in the recent decade or two, it's ramped up.
But sanctions and words and all those things, it doesn't work unless you have enforcement behind it.
It's amazing to me how we will, oh, we're going to do sanctions.
We're going to up sanctions.
We're going to increase sanctions.
That does really does nothing to the dictator of that country.
It affects the people in that country.
He has total control of all the people in that country.
So in this case, let me ask you, Kim Jong-un does not care about his people.
Absolutely not.
He controls their movements inside of that country.
Do you think that Kim will follow through on his threats?
Well, you'd have to think he would.
I mean, he snubbed his nose at everything that's come down the pipe.
He doesn't care.
It doesn't matter to him.
There has been times when they have given in or have the appearance of giving in to sanctions.
Sanctions do nothing but twist the arm.
And we try to force them to go, okay, okay, I'll play right.
Right.
Again, it's not affecting him.
It's affecting his people.
When they do sanctions and they don't allow coal exports or whatever their resources are that they get money from, it doesn't affect the top echelon of that country.
It affects all the people.
You think he's going to starve to death?
No.
His people will starve because he doesn't care.
So it doesn't matter.
So sanctions are not going to do anything.
And it's just an attempt to twist the arm to make it painful enough for them to adhere.
Now, there's been times that he has said, okay, we'll stop doing this if you help us to give this.
And we have done that.
We have done it.
They stopped.
Okay, we'll stop doing this.
Okay, great.
Here's $50 billion.
It's crazy.
We'll stop if you pay us to stop.
Yeah, and we do that.
Well, that's crazy.
Now, we do have a president that has written a book, and it's called The Art of the Deal.
And I honestly think if there is any other way except, you know, the bombings that have to happen, that he will negotiate it.
But North Korea, are they willing to negotiate with us?
No, they've clearly said in the Wall Street Journal, North Korea under no circumstances will negotiate over nuclear weapons.
So here's the thing.
North Korea, their claim to power is being able to strike anyone anywhere.
So if they give up nuclear power, then that belittles them in the world.
So they want to be up there with Russia.
They want to be up there with the big boys.
So being able to nuke anyone anywhere is their now.
If you have a country that says, under no circumstance, we will negotiate with you any type of peace.
What do you do?
Well, I mean, at this point, you're going to have to get ready for an attack.
Actually, yesterday on Fox, Trump went and said that he thinks the number one threat to the world is nuclear war.
And in his world, he would like to get rid of all nuclear weapons.
But you were telling it yesterday, too.
And so Trump knows what the issue is going on and Trump knows what's in store and he wants to get ready.
And so he is.
Now, everyone thinks that he's like some war thirsty monster right now because of the comments he's made.
But honestly, he is a human just like us.
He doesn't want to see people perish.
He has a heart.
He doesn't want to see the American people.
And when he laid his hand on the Bible and gave the oath to protect this country, that's exactly what he's doing.
So when he's making these statements, it's not because he's trying to puff his chest out and say, I'm the bigger man, but he's saying, don't mess with us because we will retaliate.
You know, I honestly think there's something in your mind that changes when you become a parent.
Now that I have a child, if a rabid dog was, you know, going after a child of mine, I would do anything I can to protect that child.
And I feel like, you know, here we have a person who is clearly insane.
He paints himself as a god to his people.
Like, people don't think the man has to eat or sleep or do any of the normal stuff that normal or slowly people have to do.
And so when you're dealing with an insane person, you can't talk to them the way you would a normal person.
You have to stiffen your stance.
And honestly, like Rex Tillerson said, is these stiff sanctions that we've been doing, honestly, over the last 20 years, what has it amounted to?
Well, it's gotten us to where we are today.
Now, do you think North Korea will follow through with its threats?
Let's see what Darren Parker has to say about that.
Now, in all of his threats, he's not specific.
He doesn't ever specify a known target.
It's just, hey, we're going to hit you.
But this is the first time he's directly said, we have a plan to target Guam.
And he even went to the point of saying by mid-August that they're going to make a launch on them.
Yeah, I don't understand.
I don't understand the thinking.
I don't think you can.
The guy's insane.
But you have to take it serious.
Look, in the U.S., we have laws and the law states.
This is typical law for anyone in the U.S., that if you are placed in imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, you can use force to protect yourself.
You could use deadly force to protect yourself.
I would believe that the United States as a whole would kind of go follow that model.
If he is threatening these things, he has the intent.
He's verbalized his intent.
He has the means now.
And even if we didn't believe he had them, I mean, he's testing them daily.
We have to believe that he has the means.
Now, we just wait for an opportunity.
That's nothing.
It happens.
If he has Intercontinental Ballistics missiles, he has the opportunity.
So why are we waiting on anything?
Before we jump into this next part, I want to see another thing that Darren said is, should we wait for them to make the first move?
I guess, I mean, for me to be able to answer that, I don't know.
I don't have an opinion on that.
Of course, I have an opinion on that.
I don't, why would we want to wait?
Because then we're ensuring that we have casualties.
Well, you know, throughout the years, I mean, I've heard don't strike unless you've been struck first.
So in this situation, what options do we have?
What is the good option here?
Or what's the best option?
There's no best option.
I mean, they're all bad.
It's just what is going to cause the least amount of casualties.
That's it.
And waiting around hasn't worked.
That's why we're here because we waited so long.
Well, let's just wait.
Let's just see.
No, we're going to wait and see until it actually happens.
We've got to take this man at his word.
I'm calling him man.
You've got to take this clown at his word.
He is threatening this thing.
You've got to believe it.
Has he done anything that he should be doing?
No.
And so let's just wait until he does it and then what?
We're going to have more support of the world or something?
No, that's not going to happen.
Something I found really interesting is William Fortune actually sent us an article.
He said, a few signs, if there are any, that is about to go down will be civilian evacuation of Seoul, defense preparation in Tokyo, evacuation of all but essential military personnel in Guam in other bases in the region and foreign diplomats, especially the Chinese, bailing out of Seoul in Tokyo.
So I think that is something that we all need to be very aware of is what is about to happen next.
Because over the last few months in the year, we've seen the United States move military over onto into Guam.
We've seen them move into the Philippines.
We've seen them move into Japan and even in South Korea, beefing up the border.
So when you look at the big picture, they may, I mean, Trump made a big statement there, but his actions moving military closer is saying something even stronger.
So it's just not, it's not just big words.
Disney Jr. Depicts Lesbian Parents 00:04:29
Something is about to go down.
Now, North Korea is going to be something that we'll be talking about quite a bit in the next few shows because I don't think this is an issue that's just going to go away overnight.
But for right now, we're going to change the pace just a little bit.
And S, you actually have a story that's kind of blowing me away.
Yeah.
Recently, Disney Jr. released an episode of a cartoon aimed at preschoolers that depicted two married lesbian moms, and it's getting a lot of feedback from people.
Now, right here on this article I'm reading, it says, Doc McStuffins, which I'm assuming is the name of the cartoon.
Yeah.
The show aspiring about a doctor who fixes toys with the help from friends, featured a family led by two moms in an August 5th episode called The Emergency Plan.
It's usually praised.
The show is usually praised for its cultural depiction of a young African-American female doctor, but it's now under fire for people saying that the episode is pushing same-sex marriage.
Now, you have some facts about this.
Can you give us the facts about Doc McSuffins?
Doc McStuffins, okay.
The creator of the show is Chris Nee, and she's in a same-sex relationship.
Michelle Obama lent her voice in praise of the show earlier when she was, when Obama was in presidency.
The show is specifically aimed at little kids.
Both moms are actually voiced by women who are actually real, really in a same-sex marriage in real life.
Now, before you keep going on in this list, because it's quite an extensive list, why are they aiming a show like this at preschoolers?
You know, when S came with the story, I actually thought, you know, the real discussion about this whole topic is not letting the TV parent your children.
The thing is, the problem is right now, we live in a world where we're always on our phones, always on media, always on YouTube.
And you know what?
A lot of kids are on YouTube on their little laptops and stuff, and we don't know what they're doing there.
But the thing is, what I was telling her earlier is that we don't want our young generation to be grown by television.
We don't want them artificially grown by television, phone, and YouTube.
Now, I personally believe this way.
That is a discussion and a matter that you need to handle with your children at home.
Just as if you think that it's only right for the parent to talk to their kids about the Bible and for it not to be in school, then why would we not be doing the same thing all around?
In my opinion, it really, like whether or not you agree with it, it opens up an avenue to have a discussion with your kids that might not have come up in previous if this hadn't been an issue.
Now, can I just be honest here for a second and give my real perspective of this?
Children at the age of four and five and six aren't worried about if they're going to be gay or lesbian, straight, if they're going to be, you know, all they really want to do is be a kid.
So why are we pushing this thought and this honestly?
Why are we pushing a confusion on them at such a young age to find, you know, this is what you have to be.
This is what you have to figure out right now.
24, let them be children.
Well, in Disney, it's actually a lot of Disney pushing it.
In a 2012 interview that Chris Nee had with After Ellen.com, she said Disney was looking forward to pushing more pro-gay topics in the show, and that was back in 2012.
So it's really a thing of Disney and trying to, yeah.
John, you have a child.
How do you feel about him, you know, or someone clicking on the YouTube channel and then him watching shows that are filled with homosexuality?
As a matter of fact, that was just something we were talking about because when you get into the streaming realm, there are different rules for what you can access on Netflix or Hulu or any other streaming site than there are for if you were watching it on normal broadcast.
So the idea that now you have to be more aware of things that are going to be put in on the kids' channel because we were even talking, right, James?
Yeah.
The other day that Disney is now starting to watch where your kids go on their apps.
You know, obviously, I think in a marketing scheme that that makes sense because why would they want to put something in front of your child if they're not going to go to it?
If they're into Ninja Turtles, keep putting Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers and that kind of stuff in front of them.
But I think they're also going to start, we're going to start seeing more of this as the years go on.
We've already seen the new normal in television as a TV show and those types of storylines starting to take front and center stage that I'm not surprised.
Black Sky Event 00:05:36
Yeah, it's not even where it's not the first cartoon that they've ever released.
They've done two other shows that depict the same thing.
Now, if you have a comment about this and you want to let us know your perspective on this, actually let us know in the comments below and we'll be happy to read those and get another perspective, which is your perspective.
But for now, we're going to switch over to a subject called Stranger Things and Technology.
And James, you have a story called Black Sky Event.
Yes, actually, on August 23rd, FEMA and the United States Department of Energy will stage a scenario known as Earth X 2017, which will be used to plan appropriate responses to a black sky event.
Black sky events are defined by the government as catastrophic occurrences caused by man or nature that bring society to its knees.
The plan exercise will generate a scenario which will result in a long-duration power outage on a subcontinental scale with the gradual failing of other infrastructures.
According to experts, this kind of black sky event could be caused by a major earthquake, cyberterrorism, or a high-altitude EMP.
According to Michelle Desalanda, a former congresswoman from the state of Florida, in such a scenario, one must assume that cars would have no fuel, that food supplies would be destroyed, and that electricity supplies could be out for months.
Now, this is the thing.
People are always, you know, are very skeptical about should we store food?
Should we get prepared?
Should we do things like that?
But honestly, this is a congresswoman talking.
This isn't a prepper.
This isn't a preacher on television.
This is someone who's saying that you could have food and you couldn't have fuel.
You could have things that you need to survive for months at a time without having.
Actually, this congresswoman said it's not if, but when a black sky event will occur.
And also it says, it says here in an article, which is amazing.
Given that FEMA has been stockpiling ready-to-eat meals, blankets, and body bags for years, perhaps it's time to dust off those old generators and stock up on that storable food.
So it's, you know, in this, now what they're doing, they're testing.
The reason this is kind of freaky and scary is that because they're testing, when they get to this point, when they get to a point of testing events like this, it means they are, that it's close.
I mean, FEMA, NOAA, Department of Energy, all our military are all part of this exercise program.
Meaning it's closer than we thought.
James, what does this mean for planes in the sky?
Okay, well, actually, we can get, there's an article that I can actually attach to that.
Well, first of all, the planes in the sky would fall out.
If an EMP happened, if a high-altitude EMP happened, the planes in the sky would fall out.
And there'd be mass destruction.
But actually, this kind of connects to another story, which I think directly connects.
Flyers may get a big discount off their flight tickets in the near future, but there's a catch.
No pilot.
Within the decade, several airlines could be on their way to rolling out pilotless flights, reports Fox Business.
But according to the new study conducted by Swiss bank UBS, consumers aren't as excited about the automatic flights.
Out of 8,000 people surveyed internationally, more than half said they would not be willing to travel in a pilotless flight, even if the ticket was cheaper.
In the entire group, only 17% say they would fly an unmanned flight.
So my question to you is, would you fly in an unmanned flight, John?
I would.
I definitely would.
I would love to.
You know, I've been waiting for this moment since 1985.
Which was the year I was born.
And that was also the year that Back to the Future came out.
When we got through the year 2000 and we did not have flying cars, I was greatly upset.
So my only question is, we've seen events where, you know, pilots have to manually land.
Land the plane, exactly.
Let's just say in a terrible event that there was no pilot and they had to manually land a plane.
Who would manually land the plane or would it just drop out of the sky?
Let's just hope the AI, let's just hope the AI is smart enough to do that.
You're like risking your life for a 50% discount on a ticket, like a couple hundred dollars.
Are you willing to risk your life for a $200 discount?
I want them to be living back to the future.
That's how you know you have children.
You're reminiscing of 1980.
And here's the thing is, you know, our story previously before that was a Black Sky event, which that's the only part that's scary is that, you know, maybe having a backup pilot would be nice.
But I'm a traveler also.
I love traveling.
So the idea of a discounted ticket sounds very enticing, though.
There could be some truth to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy where, you know, your computer onboard AI robot is going to tell you, you know, your statistics of survival.
And maybe he had a backup plan knowing that that day may come.
Who knows?
Hopefully these computers are smart.
You know what?
We don't know that day will come and we don't know the day that the Lord will come back either.
And that's a day we are all waiting for.
This is the end of the Revelation in the news.
But before we go, we just want to let you know, if you haven't taken the step of asking Jesus Christ to be your personal Lord and Savior, today is the perfect day for you to do that.
Get in a good Bible-believing church who talks about what's relevant in the news, who talks about issues like North Korea happening, because these are things that the church needs to be involved in.
If your pastor isn't talking about these types of things, just kindly ask him, what are your perspectives on the things happening right now?
Because the church needs to remain involved.
