Sanctuary Cities React

|
|
| Wars and rumors of wars. | |
| People's hearts growing cold. | |
| Strange advances in technology. | |
| What are some of the other signs the Lord told us would happen before his return? | |
| All this and more on Revelation in the News. | |
| Hello and welcome to Revelation in the News. | |
| I'm your host today, Ricky Baker. | |
| We're going to jump right in with a very interesting story. | |
| And John, you have that story. | |
| Yes. | |
| A matter of fact, the World Council of Churches officially endorsed the Palestinian campaign for Jerusalem, saying that Israel's recent move in installing additional security measures at the Temple Mount following a terror attack. | |
| They're calling it a corrosive act in the midst of an already fragile peace agreement. | |
| Now, John, for the people who don't know, what is the World Council of Churches? | |
| Now, I did some research on this group. | |
| The World Council of Churches, on their website, if you go there, they say, you know, we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one true God. | |
| I think that's great. | |
| But what I don't understand is this group is also against Israel. | |
| And a matter of fact, at the bottom of that article, if you look at it, they delegitimize Israel and they look for, they send tours over there looking for damning evidence that Israel is mistreating the Palestinians. | |
| Now, they've even gone to the point of saying that the Palestinian terror attacks is a legal reaction to Israel moving in on their territory. | |
| Wow. | |
| And all this is basically because they've put up extra security. | |
| That's what this article is about, is putting up extra security and metal detectors. | |
| Now, James, we were actually in Israel a few years ago when they were building those metal detectors on the way up to the Temple Mount. | |
| Yeah, we saw construction going on. | |
| We actually had to go a different kind of way to get there. | |
| But we were there. | |
| We saw the security checkpoints. | |
| And here we are. | |
| This is our footage, actually. | |
| Me and Ricky were there for actually about two weeks in Israel. | |
| Yeah, almost three. | |
| Yeah. | |
| And almost three. | |
| And this is where we were. | |
| And to get into that facility now, you had to go through metal detectors. | |
| And they were being actually built. | |
| And the thing is, the Palestinians were very against this. | |
| When we were there, the environment was very... | |
| We were walking around the Dome of the Rock with Rabbi Kahn and another group of people. | |
| And the Palestinians were being very hostile. | |
| They were following us. | |
| They were kind of like in the corners watching us to make sure we weren't praying out loud. | |
| They were being very, very hostile. | |
| And if they're doing that, obviously, to us as Westerners, what are they doing to the Jews in their own home? | |
| Can I ask you a quick question on that note? | |
| You guys being there, I didn't get to co. | |
| Me and our floor director, Nathan, we were here installing a new audio system. | |
| But my question here is, do you guys feel like you guys were being oppressed in your expression of religion? | |
| Actually, if I can, I have a small short story. | |
| Me and a past pastor we used to be here. | |
| We went to the wall, Welling Wall. | |
| And what happened is we actually kind of got lost in Israel and we ended up on the other side where they call more of the Palestinian, there's me right there, the Palestinian side. | |
| We actually got out on that side. | |
| So we were lost. | |
| So we went to go to, you know, we were thirsty and we wanted to drink. | |
| We actually went to the counter to ask for a drink and we only had our American money on us, which you can pay anywhere with American money there in Israel. | |
| Well, the man yelled at us, told us that we need to leave. | |
| Wow. | |
| And he did take our money eventually, but told us to go. | |
| And he was very angry that we couldn't facilitate his money, I guess. | |
| That's crazy. | |
| Now, I do know whenever I was walking around that Palestinian quarter, there's a time where we were in a hotel in that Palestinian area. | |
| I was with Mondo, De Lego, which you've seen in the Revelation of the News before. | |
| And we were walking around. | |
| He's actually going to get his hair cut. | |
| And we were walking to the Palestinian quarter, but it proved to my benefit that I kind of look like I belong there. | |
| So as long as I didn't say anything, it was okay because I looked like I belonged in that Palestinian area. | |
| But the thing is, the fact that they're oppressing the Jews and that the World Council of Churches. | |
| Now, you have to remember, this isn't just the World Council. | |
| This is the World Council of Churches. | |
| People who claim to believe in Jesus Christ. | |
| And they're saying it's okay to attack the Jews. | |
| Let me say one more thing on this World Council of Churches. | |
| I was even discussing with your dad what they're about. | |
| And a matter of fact, I was reading in a book called Disinformation that in 1961, they were actually overtaken by the Russians, by ultimately the Soviet Union, and they started spreading their Orthodox priests who were actually spies for the KGB. | |
| Now, this has obviously been a big story, and we want to show you one of the reactions on this story. | |
| Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not change the situation of people. | |
| how they change their own situation the prophet says that the time will come the last hour would not take place till the muslims fight the jews and | |
| And we don't say if it's in Palestine or other, till they fight. | |
| And when that war breaks, that they would run and hide behind every rock and house and wall and trees. | |
| The house and the wall and the trees will call upon the Muslims. | |
| It will say, O Muslim. | |
| It will not say, oh, Palestinian, oh, Egyptian, oh Syrian, O Afghani, O Pakistani, O Indians. | |
| No, it will say, Ya Muslim, O Muslim, Muslim, when Muslims come back. | |
| Come, there is someone behind me. | |
| Except a certain tree that they are growing today in Palestine, in that area, except this form of tree that they are growing today, that's the tree that will not speak to the Muslims. | |
| Allahumma INNA Nesaluk Nusra, Almasjid Alaqsa Wasaira Bilaad IL Muslimin. | |
| Allahumma Harrir Almasjid, Alaqsa MIN Adnansi Liahud. | |
| Allahumma Alayk Baman Aglick, Almasjid Alaqsa ya Arhaman Rahimin. | |
| Allahumma Arina Fihim Yowman Aswada. | |
| Arina Fihim Ajayb Qudretik. | |
| Allahumma Ahlikhum Bedada Waxhahsihim Adada Wala Tughadir Minhum Aahada. | |
| Allahumma Harrir, Almasjid, Alaqsa YA Rabbal Alamein. | |
| Allahumma JJAL Thalik ALA Aydiyna Wajjal LANA Nasiban Minhu ya Arhaman Rahimin. | |
| Allahumma Jjalna mimin yansurunahum bilقولi Wal'amal. | |
| Allahumma Jjalna mimin yansurunahum bilقولi Wal'amal. | |
| Allahumma Jjalna mimin yansurunahum bilقولi Wal'amal, WOW. | |
| Do you understand that at one point, if you're reading the closed caption below, he said, Let us not spare any of them. | |
| And then you saw at the end, he was actually beginning to get emotional as he was praying to Allah. | |
| He was getting emotional the fact that, please help us accomplish this goal of pretty much exterminating the Jewish people. | |
| Now, is this their version of an end times war? | |
| Matter of fact, yes. | |
| Joel Richardson's been on the show many times, and the way he even explains it is their mahadi is going to come back on a white horse. | |
| Now, in the book of Revelations, we understand that he who comes back on the white horse isn't our savior. | |
| It'll be the Antichrist. | |
| And the thing is, we want people, and I'm not saying all people from those countries are like this, but those who have that radical belief, we need to keep them out of our country. | |
| And I think that we do have a president that wants to keep that kind of radical Islamic terrorism out of our country. | |
| Now, I was just saying that there's really only two types of Muslims. | |
| There are the radical Muslims and those who support the radical Muslims, those who aren't willing to go out and actually be the suicide bombers and do the killings themselves and perform the jihad. | |
| But they fully support it because that's what their Bible says to do. | |
| That's what their Quran says to do. | |
| Yes, the thing is, like, I mean, I have a friend who read, who actually went in and read the whole Quran, and he was, you know, trying to understand it in a good way. | |
| But he says by the end of the book, it tells you to murder all the Jews. | |
| The book says it in their word. | |
| And the thing is, it's got to be a dark book to tell you to go out and murder an entire people group. | |
| Now, the thing is, the United States of America right now, a big majority of people are fighting so we can keep people like that safe. | |
| And they're called sanctuary cities. | |
| John, you have a story about that. | |
| Yeah, the Washington Examiner actually reported this week that the acting head of immigration and custom enforcements called sanctuary cities very un-American. | |
| He also said the worst are Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. | |
| Now, you know, something I find very interesting and very sad is why would New York City be one of the worst? | |
| Because New York City, to me, has experienced the worst of the worst, the worst of terrorism. | |
| That's right. | |
| I would expect them to be more patriotic, to be the leading light for America, to not let a door open to these terrorists. | |
| Now, we hear about sanctuary cities a lot in the news right now, but tell us what a sanctuary city really is, John. | |
| Basically, a sanctuary city is now that it's a group of cities that have come together and said, these are policies that we are going to abide by. | |
| And by doing that, we're not going to be answering to federal law that we don't like. | |
| Now, let me pose one question before I know, James, you have a question. | |
| How have we gone from an event like 9-11 to being scared to offend people? | |
| That's a good question. | |
| Especially the ones that... | |
| An event like 9-11, which killed thousands of American citizens. | |
| A clear act of terrorism, but were scared to offend those very people who committed that act. | |
| The crime rates in these cities have gone up. | |
| Yeah, question, John. | |
| Has crime elevated in these sanctuary cities? | |
| As a matter of fact, yes, they've done studies on this, and they've seen in those, since these particular cities, what they did is they compared those that had become sanctuary cities to something of an equal size and population. | |
| Now, what they're finding is as soon as they became sanctuary cities, crime doubled. | |
| Crime has doubled in this instant reaction. | |
| Yeah, you're talking about San Francisco, which I know like the Bay Area, we have friends that live there, and this actually becomes a major concern because they're fighting against federal government, federal authority, and even as this guy said, that they're not allowing these ICE agents into the jails to pick up. | |
| Because one of the rules is, is when it is reported that you have an illegal alien, you have to be there within 24 hours to pick them up and get them out. | |
| So what is happening is they're not allowing these agents into the jails. | |
| When the time is up, they just release them back onto the streets, and then they commit another crime, another felony. | |
| This is why we need vetting. | |
| This is why vetting is so important. | |
| This is why vetting in every single situation is important. | |
| Not just Muslims, not just Mexicans, but every person. | |
| I hope if someone like James were to come over, someone that looked, you know, a very nice-looking white man, that he would be vetted. | |
| Or someone like Cora were to come over, that she would be vetted. | |
| I would be vetted because that makes me feel more secure in this country. | |
| What I'm going to say is like, you know, we're not against any people group. | |
| No, as Christians, right? | |
| As Christians, we're not against any people group. | |
| I mean, that's if I could say anything, that's the main thing. | |
| We're just against people who want to hurt you. | |
| Exactly. | |
| And we have a right to concern for our own safety. | |
| Exactly. | |
| And even like what just happened a year ago, was it July 15th? | |
| Caitlin, she was murdered by an illegal immigrant. | |
| Catherine Steinley. | |
| Yeah, Steinley. | |
| And they passed this new bill because of that situation there. | |
| And we want national security. | |
| I can't believe that there are people actually fighting against the federal government. | |
| And my question to you guys, real quick, is I feel like this is a step. | |
| I think if politicians, because this is all it is, is a political game. | |
| And if politicians can do this, what does this now mean in the future? | |
| If you can resist, if you can watch them resist authority from the top down and say they're not going to abide by the laws that they don't like, what does that mean for you? | |
| Does that mean when you go to those sanctuary cities, you have to abide by their laws? | |
| I mean, I think what that's going to ultimately turn into is anarchy. | |
| There's two roads: anarchy or martial law. | |
| Yeah. | |
| That's two places. | |
| Those are both very, very deadly, scary places. | |
| Which they're even talking about in those cities about sending like federal government in there to take care of it because crime is so bad. | |
| Look at Chicago. | |
| Now, the thing is, if federal government gets sent into a place like Chicago, there's either like there's a few things that can happen, but what I honestly believe will happen is we'll turn into an all-out bloodbath because they will try to resist the federal government and the federal government will have no choice but to fight back. | |
| Now we're vetting people coming into this country. | |
| We're screening people. | |
| We're making sure everything is safe. | |
| But are you screening what's going into your home? | |
| There's another story that, Cora, I want you to share. | |
| Roomba, the RoboVac Company, has been mapping homes to maximize efficiency. | |
| Roombas gather information about the floor plan of homes, basic shape of items on the floor, what areas require maintenance, and more. | |
| The company says that by mapping this information, Roomba will be able to partner with other companies to offer smarter services. | |
| Roomba customers do have the option whether to use the cloud sharing function. | |
| But according to the article, Roomba still has the freedom to share this data internally with subsidiaries, third-party vendors, and the government upon request. | |
| Now, does this story kind of concern you guys? | |
| Yes. | |
| Why can't we just have nice things? | |
| It was a vacuum cleaner that went around your house and it cleaned for you because you might have had the baby. | |
| You might have had, you know, it just made life a little bit more convenient for you. | |
| But now they're selling the layout of your home to third-party companies. | |
| Yes. | |
| I think this is a really cool segment that the producing team here has come up with, this new stranger things and technology. | |
|
Face Scanning App Scare
00:06:30
|
|
| And I think this is totally creeping me out. | |
| The fact that they now have like this robot that cleans your house for you, and then it can do automatic updates and then turn over information to the highest bidder. | |
| So people can, like, if you go six months from now after buying this robot, move things around, move furniture around, build a wall, basically this little robot's going to map it out, and then they'll take that information, apply it to whatever information you had before, and sell it to whoever's out there. | |
| Well, let me just remind you of what happened not too long ago with Apple and the government. | |
| I mean, the government basically told Apple, we need you to open this back door to your technology so that we can get the information for safety purposes. | |
| And that's exactly, I can see that happening with Roomba. | |
| And that's a scary thought. | |
| James, you said a quote to me right before we went on the show that really struck me. | |
| Especially in this article, and it's very disheartening. | |
| And it's true with our generation. | |
| Convenience trumps privacy every time. | |
| And is that like that hits? | |
| I mean, microwave came out, all these things that could do things quicker, convenience. | |
| And the thing is, when you get that new iPhone or you get the iTunes or whatever, you scroll down, you just press I agree because it's convenient. | |
| You want your items working now. | |
| You're not going to read all 70 pages of the terms and conditions that say you're pretty much giving up everything you have for exactly what that is, convenience. | |
| Now, James, there's a story. | |
| I'll be in an airport in a few days on my way with my dad to Washington, D.C. | |
| Now, this is actually something that might help me at the airport, James. | |
| What is it? | |
| Amazon has filed a patent for a power charging robot that will come to your aid. | |
| Users will make wireless requests, and the robot can find the user using sensor data. | |
| The robot can even find the user automatically when their phone reaches 10% battery. | |
| So at first, I was like, okay, first of all, that application is super convenient, okay? | |
| How many times have you been to the airport? | |
| How many times have you been in the airport and you're like, I can't find a charge station? | |
| I don't want to talk to that person next to me right now. | |
| I don't want to sit on the floor. | |
| Hey, man, can I charge my phone? | |
| Exactly. | |
| You know what? | |
| Last time I was at the airport, I asked the guy next to me, I was like, could you put my phone up? | |
| You know, it's kind of awkward. | |
| You're there at the airport. | |
| And the application is nice, you know, saying, okay, come to me. | |
| But what I was seeing in this is that this little robot can find you out of a crowd of people just by looking, just by finding your sensor data on your phone. | |
| So while this is convenient, what else do you think this data that can find you have to be used in a maybe negative way? | |
| Yeah, I have what I find very interesting is, like you just said, people will, for convenience, you know, look at apps today. | |
| Every time you download an app, whether it's Angry Birds or a new flashlight program to put on your phone, it wants to know, it's like when I download a flashlight program, why does it need to know my contact? | |
| Yeah, it wants to contact your location. | |
| My location, videos, photos. | |
| Access to your camera. | |
| Yeah. | |
| What do you need that for? | |
| I just downloaded an app today and it says, can I have access to your camera? | |
| I would even go to say 90% of the people know that and they still say okay. | |
| Exactly. | |
| It's all in the terms and conditions. | |
| Now, James, we were just talking about access to the camera. | |
| There's an app that has just come out that apparently can scan your face and tell you your hobbies. | |
| Yes. | |
| Augmented reality startup Blipper has launched a facial recognition feature on its app. | |
| The feature allows users to find out personal information that can be accessed when their face is scanned with the app. | |
| Once the face is scanned, users can instantly see information about that person displayed in bubbles around their head and face. | |
| That is absolutely crazy. | |
| So what you're saying is this app, you take it and you point the camera at somebody, it scans their face and it tells me your hobbies. | |
| Yes. | |
| Explain that, James. | |
| Yes, that's what it does. | |
| What you do is you go into the app and you kind of tell them your hobbies, what you like. | |
| And the scary thing, okay, I actually did some real research. | |
| I got the app and I think the scariest question it asks is, can we register your face? | |
| Can we register your face? | |
| Which I guess in the app, it's okay for that. | |
| But once again, I was talking to John before. | |
| Applications like this and technology like this starts out as fun, maybe health benefits, but it slowly moves into something more most of the time. | |
| Well, not only that, but remember, they're keeping a database of your face. | |
| Yes, exactly. | |
| Yes, and who knows where that information can go from there. | |
| If Ramba, if the Ramba people can sell my information to Amazon, can they sell these people? | |
| Can they sell my face to the military? | |
| You know what? | |
| I was actually just talking, I was actually talking to someone the other day about getting a concealed carry license for a gun. | |
| And I was talking to them about it. | |
| I have a concealed carry license for my weapon. | |
| They have markings of all my fingers. | |
| And they're like, oh, well, I don't want the government to have all my thumbprints. | |
| And I said, but you own an iPhone. | |
| They already have your thumbprints. | |
| You don't realize that you click that and it has touch ID. | |
| What do you think the Touch ID is doing? | |
| It just, it just hence literally goes off the fingerprint that you have. | |
| And you can do it for all your different fingers. | |
| Like even my phone, it's not an iPhone or anything. | |
| It's just Samsung. | |
| But on the back of it, I could put my finger on the back. | |
| It'll tell me my heartbeat. | |
| It'll tell me all kinds of stuff about my physical fitness and all that. | |
| And it's like, what are they doing with this information? | |
| There's certain apps where you can actually send your blood or DNA in your right now. | |
| And it'll tell you about your ancestry and all that. | |
| Now I find that a little scary. | |
| Now, in a crazy world of media, what do we do? | |
| We don't know. | |
| But you know what? | |
| I know one great thing. | |
| We have a media school here at Morningstad that works very hard and they actually produce shows just like this one, Revelation in the News, The Jim Baker Show, and all types of projects and film contests. | |
| And they're doing that. | |
| And so if you're interested in being a part of a school like that, check out this promo. | |
| Coming here was a really big step in my life because I hadn't talked to really anybody except for one friend, my mom and some family throughout summer after graduating high school. | |
|
Lana Del Rey's Vibration Theory
00:06:27
|
|
| And even in high school, I only had like two friends. | |
| So I had pretty bad anxiety before I came here. | |
| Then I came here and it's like gone. | |
| I am | |
| a floor director. | |
| So I floor direct for Jim Baker's show and I also floor direct for Revenue News. | |
| Yeah, I'm the one who shows the people on set time. | |
| Like, there's like 20 minutes left. | |
| Basically, I have to listen to the show, listen to everything they're saying, and pay attention. | |
| And then when the time is right, I clap. | |
| And that makes everybody in the audience clap. | |
| What really inspires me is to, you know, how can I reach this current generation, you know, through my art? | |
| You know, we're all vessels that God's using. | |
| And I want him to, like, use me to the best extent that he can, you know. | |
| So any possible way that I can be used is, I'm up for it, you know. | |
| So right now, that's with art. | |
| Like in worship music, like I do sometimes even consciously like minister to people through my plane or I'll have like you know like a prayer on my heart about somebody maybe in the audience or something and there is definitely that ministry to the people and for me as well yeah sometimes music It just speaks to you. | |
| We're being trained and we're being formed into diamonds, basically. | |
| And diamonds are formed through pressure and heat. | |
| And so when we're done and we finally graduate, we're going to be able to do like three times more, five times more than the average person in our field. | |
| And it's like a muscle. | |
| You have to build it up. | |
| And that only comes from working it every day. | |
| So if you're interested in checking out a great media school in a great environment where you get the Bible, you get media, you get to build lasting relationships with us your life, check out Morningside School of Media. | |
| Now, right now, we're going to shift into our next topic, which is actually what must take place before Jesus returns. | |
| And there's a news story that, James, you have that is really shocking to me. | |
| Yeah, Fox News reported this week that Lana Del Rey tried to hex the president, Donald Trump. | |
| Earlier this year, in February, Del Rey tweeted instructions to her followers on how to follow through with the hex. | |
| Del Rey recently released her new album titled Lust for Life. | |
| Now let me ask you a question for those who don't know. | |
| Who is Lana Del Rey? | |
| What does she do? | |
| Well Lana Del Rey, she's a she's like a singer, you know, but she's very popular. | |
| She's very popular. | |
| She's very like old Hollywood style. | |
| Wait, so she's a she's a singer. | |
| She makes albums. | |
| Yeah, yeah, she does, yeah. | |
| But she's so she dabbles in witchcraft also? | |
| I guess she's pulling that. | |
| Actually, the tweet was here. | |
| In February, Del Rey posted a vague tweet that stated, at the stroke of midnight, February 21st, March 26th, April 24th, and March 23rd, ingredients can be found online. | |
| So she actually was giving ingredients, which is a picture of Trump, a white candle, water, salt, and a feather. | |
| Let me ask you this, James. | |
| What is around the age group of Lana Del Rey's fans? | |
| It'd probably be from, I would say from actually 16 to like 30. | |
| So what you're saying is anywhere in between this 16, you know, and beyond, she's tweeting instructions on how to perform a witchcraft event. | |
| And she, yeah. | |
| And so this actually was an article before in Fox News, but they recently got back to her to talk and she said this. | |
| When they asked her, she said, yes, I did it. | |
| Why not? | |
| Look, I do a lot of stuff. | |
| So this is just a very, you know, I performed a witchcraft ceremony on the president. | |
| A very nonchalant thing to her. | |
| It's like, yeah, I did. | |
| According to this article, she said, yeah, I did it. | |
| Whatever. | |
| I do a lot of stuff. | |
| You know, 1 Timothy 4.1 says, people abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. | |
| And we, sorry, but as humans, we're not smart enough to figure this stuff out on our own. | |
| We can't figure out hexes and all this, these witchcraft things. | |
| These have to be taught to us by the demonic realm. | |
| And you know what? | |
| I'm sorry for saying this, but Lana Del Rey was probably taught this by something from the demonic realm or someone who has been in that demonic realm because you don't just put these things together by happenstance. | |
| She said before in an interview that she believes in vibrations and she believes in energies and stuff like that. | |
| So, which, you know, she does believe in some kind of supernatural energy that she hasn't really been, she's been too little vague on. | |
| Well, it's a little scary even thinking about listening to her music. | |
| I mean, what if she's been putting hexes on her music to transfer her to her fans or things like that? | |
| I mean, personally, I won't be listening to her music. | |
| I don't want to open that door. | |
| I mean, I definitely agree. | |
| You know, there's something to what she was saying, too. | |
| I feel like, because I've tuned into a couple of her songs to figure out what it's about after reading the article. | |
| And I do believe that music can have an effect on you personally and physically and emotionally because when you're listening to something, it oftentimes can change like your demeanor, whether it's like hard rock, hardcore, primo, if it's rap, you know, everything has something to it that does impact your life. | |
| It impacts your spirit. | |
| Yeah, it could change your mood. | |
| Well, exactly. | |
| You know, before, you know, let's say any type of sporting event or before you're going to go out there and run a cross-country race, you're not going to sit back there and listen to like waterfalls running or the streams going. | |

Serve With Creativity
00:03:59
|
|
| You're going to listen to something that pumps you up or gets you going. | |
| And most of the time, that is negative music. | |
| Because you know what? | |
| I'm just going to be real here. | |
| The Christian world hasn't done a good enough job at doing what we're supposed to. | |
| And that is really, you know, we serve the God of creativity. | |
| We serve the Creator. | |
| Why are we lacking in creativity in our own? | |
| We put ourselves in a box. | |
| Exactly. | |
| 2 Timothy 4, 3 says, people will no longer put up with sound doctrine, but they will only do what suits their own personal desires. | |
| I feel like right now, this is like a time of life where you're seeing personal desires trumping logic. | |
| You know, I have something here. | |
| It says, deception is the act or state of deceiving or the active state of being deceived. | |
| The dictionary says to deceive is to mislead by a false appearance or statement. | |
| That kind of sounds like the environment we live in. | |
| There's deception happening everywhere. | |
| There's always going to be little things. | |
| And the thing is, it starts off with something very simple, something that doesn't, you know, very nonchalant, just a casual hex, just a casual this, kind of that. | |
| I actually have a news story right here. | |
| A Wisconsin technology firm has begun offering their employees microchip implants to scan to the company building to purchase food at work, according to USA Today. | |
| The rice-sized microchip can be implanted between the thumb and the forefinger using radio frequency identification. | |
| Employees of the company currently have the option whether to receive the chip or not receive the chip. | |
| Now, they are getting an option if they work for the company to get the chip or not. | |
| But the thing is, this is how the slow indoctrination of something that the Bible calls the mark of the beast happens. | |
| It seems so casual. | |
| It's convenient. | |
| You know, I don't want to have to carry my wallet around or I don't want to have to have cash in my pocket. | |
| So I'll just take the little microchip inside my hand. | |
| I'll scan it. | |
| I'll have my lunch for the day. | |
| I'll be able to get in the building. | |
| I'll be able to clock in, clock out. | |
| But what happens when it gets to the point where our credit cards, our social security numbers, every little detail about our lives is on this thing. | |
| It's almost as bad as Roomba. | |
| Once again, convenience trumps privacy. | |
| Once again, it's convenient to have that. | |
| It's convenient. | |
| You can go through a door. | |
| You can use it as a credit card. | |
| And the thing is, deception is crafty. | |
| The serpent was crafty when he was talking to Eve. | |
| It's not just going to come out and be like, hey, this is the absolute wrong way to go. | |
| Follow me. | |
| No, it's going to look good. | |
| It's going to taste good. | |
| It's going to smell good, but it's not going to be good. | |
| And that's why we have to have discernment from the Holy Spirit. | |
| We have to be in our word. | |
| We have to be really in a good Bible-believing church. | |
| Now, you don't have to go to church to have all those things, but it helps to be in that fellowship. | |
| So if something's happening, we might not catch it off the bat, but my brother might be able to help me catch things like this. | |
| Because to an employee at that Wisconsin factory, that may just be a casual thing, and they don't really know what they're beginning to do. | |
| You know, that also reminds me of Revelations 13, 16 through 17, where it says that he causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both slave and free. | |
| It even goes on to say that we will receive the mark on our right hand. | |
| He says in verse 17, so that no one may buy, sell, or trade except he who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number on his hand. | |
| And to me, that sounds like exactly what we're talking about right now. | |
| It'll get to a point where you can legitimately do nothing without this mark of the beast. | |
| So, make sure to get into a good Bible-believing church. | |
| Make sure if you haven't taken the step of faith and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, do that today. | |
| We're here, we're going to pray with you. | |
| If you want to write into Morningside, we'll be happy to pray with you. | |
| We have a prayer department that loves to do things like that. | |
| They're here to serve you. | |
| Please, if you don't want to call into Morningside, just get with the local church, get with someone you know that really is passionate about Jesus Christ. | |
| Get into the word. | |
| Jesus is going to return soon and it's going to be a glorious day for Christians. | |
