The Spirit of Antichrist
00:04:28
|
|
| I believe the horses are out of the barn. | |
| I believe the first horse is the spirit of Antichrist. | |
| That's what I believe it is. | |
| It has no battle. | |
| And I think the next is going to be war. | |
| I think that red horse is war. | |
| But I think that we are now in the full-fledged riding of the white horse. | |
| I believe that the conversation, the warfare is words. | |
| And the Antichrist Is this not the spirit of Antichrist mocking God, turning our backs on Jesus Christ? | |
| It's like, I don't know, maybe you've got to be old to understand what it used to be in America, but this isn't the America that I was brought up. | |
| No, and I had a pastor. | |
| He's a great friend of mine, personally still is, and he watches our program and all. | |
| And I preached for him continually, you know, and someone said, well, you haven't had period back. | |
| Why? | |
| He said, well, he's into that prophecy stuff. | |
| And this is his exact word. | |
| He says, I'm afraid if he preaches that, it's going to drop my giving. | |
| And I'm thinking, wait a minute, if I thought that we're in the time of the end and I can build my reward up by giving and things are wrapping up, I'd be giving more. | |
| I mean, we do. | |
| We do give more. | |
| But here's the point about the generations. | |
| There is just like in the time of Jesus, there was a generation of people that from his birth to his crucifixion, they assume is about 32 to 35 years. | |
| And a generation can be, it actually depends on what you're talking about. | |
| A generational average of unbelief is 40 years. | |
| That's in Psalms. | |
| Up to 70 years. | |
| So all that time frame can be considered a generation. | |
| Depends, again, what you're talking about. | |
| But in Matthew, I'm sorry, in the scripture, Jesus said this, that there would be things that would come upon this generation. | |
| Matthew 24, the temple would be destroyed. | |
| It would come upon this generation. | |
| Matthew 23, in one generation, destruction would come to the city because of the shedding of innocent blood. | |
| So Jesus starts telling his people in a generation. | |
| Now, this brings up the interesting point. | |
| Why in the book of Acts are they selling property and giving the money to the poor people? | |
| They didn't do that in Corinth. | |
| They didn't do it in Antioch. | |
| They didn't do it in Ephesus. | |
| They didn't do it in any other city except Jerusalem. | |
| Why are they selling property? | |
| Because Jesus had told him in a generation it's all going to be destroyed. | |
| So they're getting out. | |
| They're just saying, you know what? | |
| Jesus says this is coming, so let's just sell this, help the poor people. | |
| And so within a generation, by 66 AD, Christians knew, saw what was coming, and that's where the Christians, the Jewish people got mad at Christians. | |
| They fled Jerusalem and went to that little town of Pelah. | |
| They left the city and went to the mountains. | |
| Well, hello, somebody. | |
| And they really did, and they were spared from the destruction. | |
| And that's history, okay? | |
| So there was a generation. | |
| Jesus, so there was a generation from the time of the birth of Christ to his crucifixion, 30-some years. | |
| Then when Jesus predicted in about 30 AD how that there would be so many things happen with the temple, he said it would happen in Matthew 23 in a generation. | |
| So from 30 AD to 70 AD is 40 years. | |
| Then there was another cycle. | |
| The point is not for me to share that with you is not so much to try to tag a 40-year period or a 70-year period, but to tell you that there will be a generation in which all these things will come to pass. | |
| Now, Jim and I are, I believe, are close friends and our spirit bears witness. | |
| We have differences of opinion on prophecy, but that's between us. | |
| And the other thing I want to tell people is never, because I see people do this. | |
| I get the letters from the prophecy people. | |
| Some of them are prophecy buffs and some are prophecy buts. | |
| I'm sorry, I meant to say prophecy nuts. | |
| Where'd that come from? | |
| You whispered that in my ear, didn't you? | |
| But you should see him. | |
| It's amazing what you would say when you're under the anointing of the Lord. | |
| I don't see him saying that. | |
| But here's the thing. | |
| All of you watching and those of you in the room should never disqualify people who differ with you prophetically from fellowship. | |
|
Focus On Now
00:02:05
|
|
| That's right. | |
| I get so tired. | |
| I get so tired, you know. | |
| If somebody believes in the rapture, they're a heretic. | |
| If somebody believes mid-trib, my God, they're into this. | |
| We've really got it mixed up here because what we should be focusing on is what is the now word and what would God have us do now and what would God have us plan for? | |
| That's what we focus on. | |
| Jesus is going to take care of all this other stuff. | |
| But what I'm saying is that we're in a time frame in which we're seeing the spirit of Antichrist, like Jim said, the rise of ISIS, these Islamic people talking about a caliphate. | |
| Turkey, that guy's a dictator acting crazy. | |
| He wants to reform that whole area like the Ottoman Turkish Empire. | |
| Then you've got the European Union that it looks like it's going, then it collapses. | |
| Nobody saw that coming. | |
| Then it's all divided and people can't pay their bills in Europe. | |
| And then you've, I mean, it's like, where does it go from here? | |
| So I would suggest to people that your focus be on soul winning. | |
| You have to focus totally on soul winning. | |
| Number two, you have to focus on the fact that Jesus said over and over again, I will never leave you nor forsake you. | |
| Because your circumstances are not going to be dependent on whether or not God's going to take care of you. | |
| God is with you during the best of circumstances. | |
| God is with you during the worst of circumstances. | |
| So it's a soul-focused, get people saved, use whatever tools and methods you've got. | |
| Books are good. | |
| Videos are good. | |
| DVDs are good. | |
| Sometimes you can't get folks to church. | |
| Get them a tool that says, look, you got to read this. | |
| Please just watch it. | |
| Be surprised how effective that would be. | |
| And then again, having confidence and faith that God will never forsake his people. | |
| We're not of this world. | |
| Look, if I was a sinner, I would be afraid. | |
| And I feel like preaching a message called be afraid, be very afraid. | |
| And then just explain to sinners, you know, y'all are in really serious trouble. | |
| Because a guy said to me, what if you're wrong? | |
| I said, well, if I'm wrong, I'm having the greatest time of my life. | |
