Why Christians Have Become Passive 00:07:35
What are we as Christians going to do to stop the direction we're going?
Well, I'm going to say something here that probably will stir up people who think Jesus can come at any moment, okay?
Because we know Jesus can come when he wants to come.
But here's the thing that always bothered me about people who are, and don't anybody get me wrong, because people know how I believe, so don't misread because people will go on Facebook and be like, I just heard Pears saying this.
Did you know Purr saying my God?
He changes ideas.
You've been with them.
You've dealt with them.
But I have watched people who become passive because they're simply waiting to leave.
They're so caught up on, I wish Jesus would get here that they become passive.
Wow.
That is so bad.
Because what happens is we allow, when we become passive, we will allow anything in and anything to happen, tagging it a sign of the time.
And once we tag it a sign of the time, we accept it.
When the agenda was changed on marriage, and we know it's the days of Lot, yes.
But when people say, well, it's just a sign of the time, they become passive and they don't try to do anything about it.
So this is what I believe.
I let Jesus take care of the signs.
But while I'm here, I'm salt and light.
And if I'm going to be salt and light, and I'm living here, and I'll just tell everybody who loves prophecy, you don't know where all this is going to go, except from what Scripture says.
You don't know what all we have to deal with and see.
But if we sit back and we do nothing and we say nothing, we will suffer.
I don't know if you ever heard that story about when Hitler came to power and he came after the unions, but I wasn't in the unions, so I said nothing, and he came after the Jews, and I wasn't a Jew, and I said nothing, and he came after the youth.
But since I wasn't young, I said nothing.
Then he came after me.
And so this is what we're dealing with.
We're dealing with people, and I'm talking to Christians now who have become passive because you know that it's the time of the end.
You know, we are the Revelation generation, so we become passive, and not realizing that God can absolutely move in such a way to stop some of the crazy things that are happening for the benefit of the kingdom.
Because the fact is, folks, the gospel still has to go around the world before the Lord can ever come.
So if we have ISIS who is stopping missionaries, if we have nations that are not letting them in, if you see all this happening and you know, wait a minute, we could go into a system, we could go into boycotting, we could go into doing something that will change this.
We should be doing everything we can while we are the salt and the light to change what we can.
We know there's some things that set prophetically.
It's just going to happen.
We call it a sure word of prophecy.
It's there.
But there are other things that we're dealing with, just like what you're talking about, Jim, is the culture and the way of thinking.
There should be every, can I say it this way?
Every person that is conservative in their thinking should right now be riding every outlet in America and say, we are going to boycott everybody that advertises you.
We're going to start a boycott that's going to be millions of people till you all start telling the truth.
And we can do a lot of things.
We can do a lot of things that gets attention.
Because one chain that just opened up transgender bathrooms, and I'll not name them in my town.
I told my wife this is about a year and a half ago.
I said, we'll never go there again.
But I taught you that.
We'll shop there again.
I don't care what they've got.
That's right.
And you know, they laughed.
This is what they said behind the scenes.
Christians, there's not enough of them to affect us.
Where their stock dropped and they lost millions of dollars.
They lost millions.
So that, we don't have to pick up a sword.
We don't have to pick up weapons to fight this thing.
We pray and we get involved.
And I'm going to tell you what the world understands.
It's called money.
And no matter who they are, when they see that they are affected by their money and their stock people are saying your stock is tanking.
Why is your stock tanking?
They will begin to change.
Because honestly, if you look at the African American community, the Hispanic community, and the Caucasian community, just those three groups of people who claim to be Christians who go to church on Sunday, if they were organized as a group, and I want to tell you for a fact from people I know inside, that's what they're scared to death of.
They're scared to death that the African Americans and the whites and the Hispanics will come together and say, okay, here's what we are.
We're not putting up with this because that's the largest army in the world of people who could change things.
Wow.
And I heard someone say who'd worked in the federal government before, they said, you know, one of the reasons that, and I'll tell this story, and I won't say who or where, but they were saying, you know, there's a watch list and there were 150 names on the watch list.
So I just wanted to know if Perry Stone's name was on the watch list.
It's a really true story.
And I said, for real?
They said, well, you know, I mean, you know, you preach sometimes and get out there and you talk about how things aren't going well in the nation and all that.
And you said, not only was your name on there, there was only one ministry that I'll not name that was on there on the whole list.
And I went to someone and said, why is it that I've noticed that the government would look at some people as being, they could raise a group up or they could do this or that, but why are there no Christians?
And this is what the person said.
The Christian church in America can get up to 2,000 people in a church and they always split.
They said, the only time we will ever worry about Christians is when they have the influence.
Now, I'm going to share something that I've not asked you if I can share, but I want you to trust me.
When this man, and I know this, Jackie Bradley was your TV director that helped you get on TV when you were in Charlotte.
The reason this man came under attack, he will never tell you this.
I will tell you this.
This man came under attack, and I found out years later after all the ordeal he had to go through, he came under attack for one reason.
There were people in the United States scared to death of his influence on TV.
That's right.
Jim, your whole situation, I'm sure you know this, but your whole situation was there, Fred.
And they tried to figure out a way of affecting Jim's ministry because here's what they said.
They said he can go on TV and tell people there's a law being passed today.
You all need to go out and vote.
You know what we stand for and believe.
And he could, yeah, he could swing the vote.
And there were people, and I'm not going to go into the details, but I know for a fact that they sent someone into his ministry to steal money.
They were from the, they were, federal agents set them up in a counting room.
And Jim won't talk about this, but I will because I think God's trying to vindicate you completely with what you had to go through, Jim.
I'm really serious about it.
And there was a woman, and I got this from one of your coworkers who still loves you.

There was a woman in the counting room.
There were counting booths, and there was money that kept being missing.
And they put a camera on the woman, and she was putting cash in her Bible.
And two of your top people met with her and said, we know what you're doing.
And she says, oh, no, no, no.
They did it.
They did it.
They put me up to it.
And your friend said, we were in that room.
I looked at the other fella and said, gave him a look like, let's play along because there's more to this than we know.
And she took them to an apartment where she had stolen tens of thousands of dollars in shoeboxes.
And she said, They're coming, they're federal agents.
There's two of them that put me up to this because they wanted people to complain that money was missing and they didn't get their tax receipt so they could blame Jim Baker.
And Jim had nothing to do with it.
In fact, they finally got that money, put it back into the ministry, and let that girl go.
And let her go.
And said, You just tell them you lost your job.
And that's how wicked, spiritual wickedness in high places and principalities, that's how wicked the system can be when they don't like you.
And this man, I'm going to say it publicly, I want, because he needs to be vindicated of some things in the body of Christ.
This man, they were afraid of him because of the influence he had in Charlotte, North Carolina.
And they did things behind the scenes to try to hinder his ministry and hinder his voice.
But guess what?
The voice is back.
Yeah.
