Learning Someone's Heart 00:02:19
Well, I think first and foremost that there is no other answer except this right here.
It's the manual.
It's the manual to unity.
It's the manual to true brothership in Christ.
This is all we have, and we have to remember that.
But though I do have my opinions also, but this is what we have to put our foundation on because if the foundation isn't built on the love and the intimacy with Jesus through his word, then we have nothing.
We are nothing if it's not built on this.
But also, just learning to embrace another person's culture.
That is a big key that I learned.
I don't step into an arena and make them conform to my culture and try to learn about them.
I have to go and I have to be willing to open my mind up and accept what they do and how they do it and learn from them.
That I'm not just going and just trying to implement everything I do, but if you do something a different way, I want to know why.
And that's how you learn someone's heart.
And I think that a key to unity is be willing to hear someone's heart.
Because if you're, like, if I'm having a conversation with you, and you can tell if I'm in a rush, and you can tell if I genuinely don't want to talk to you.
But if you can sit down and listen to someone and try to understand, because we don't know everything, and we have to realize that.
We see what's happening with the race issue, and we see the border, and people hate it, and people love it.
But have you tried to sit down with a Mexican-American or a Mexican from Mexico and just ask, what do you think about this?
Let me hear your perspective.
Because that's when unity will come, is when we can come together and not hate because of a different perspective, but love because this is a different view.
And I have learned something from this.
Knowledge is coming by not just knowing what you know, but it's from everywhere.
And Pastor Pena will have a different opinion than I will.
We'll have a different opinion than you will.
But if we can come together and say, okay, this is the most reasonable and this is the best way of going about this, then we've done something.
We've formed brotherhood, no matter what the color, no matter what the country, we have formed a brotherhood in Christ because the blood doesn't have color.
We have to remember that.
The only color it has is red.
You know, that's what President Trump is doing.
He listens.
He's listening.
He's listening.
He's learning.
He's asking questions from everything I can read and understand about our president.
That's exactly what he's doing to bring unity, to drive out terrorism, to bring unity.
And it's a beautiful thing.
