Are We In A Civil War Of Words? - Revelation In The News
|

Time Text
National Day of Prayer Debate 00:15:02
Revelation in the news.
We're so happy to have all of our team here today.
Cora, how's things at the newspaper?
They're doing great.
I actually just finished up the semester, so I'm free to work here full-time and really focus on this show.
I'm very excited for it.
What great news.
Yes, yes, I'm officially a senior in college.
And you got some news stories that you're going to share today.
And I'm telling you, this has been one news week.
And one, the last couple days, Monda, the last 48 hours has been override, overload.
It's overload of news, excitement, mad, happy, every emotion in one day that you can think of.
So I'm excited to hear what your opinion is regarding what took place yesterday.
Oh, I'm excited about it.
And I'm excited to have you here.
You know, we've been friends for 20 years.
You've been my son for almost 20 years.
And we have walked together.
Never dreamt that you would become a newscaster, but you're a producer.
You're doing things.
We're spreading the word.
We just signed up a new Spanish language program that we're going to start on our network.
Isn't that good?
Well, this is exciting because we believe in having everyone in the body of Christ gathering together and spreading the gospel.
What do you think of this week, John?
Oh, my goodness.
You know, from things occurring with North Korea, Iran, Russia, and with the bills that have been passed this week, it's been a very busy week for Donald Trump.
You know, even the little news like coming pandemic, the big one is coming, according to CNN News.
It's going to be a flu pandemic.
That's right.
Those are news yet you're not talking about this week.
But here's the big story.
One of the big, oh, just one of the big stories.
Trump marks National Day of Prayer signs executive order on religious freedom.
You know, I've been, at my age, you cry more, but I've been trying not to cry because I have been working on this since 1960s.
Wow.
When the Johnson Amendment first was put into place, and they've threatened me and threatened us every single year of my life.
They're saying, you can't do that, Jim.
I said, who wrote that?
You know, but they said, well, Johnson Amendment says that you cannot talk about a candidate or politics.
But the Constitution gives me a right to talk about anything.
But our president signed the Religious Freedom Act yesterday as we're taping this program.
And it's been amazing.
Let me read what it says.
President Trump marked the National Day of Prayer by signing an executive order aimed at boosting religious freedom by easing IRS restriction.
Well, we believe that freedom should be for all.
That's it.
And that's what the president said yesterday, that freedom doesn't come by the government.
Freedom comes from God.
I love what he said.
Trump said, no one should be censoring sermons.
Hallelujah.
People, church people don't even know it.
I've been fighting this warfare for 30, 40 years, however long it's been.
And I'm telling you, I'm excited.
I can't believe our president even knows about the Johnson Amendment because it's something that nobody talks about.
No, and I think, you know, by having the right people around him, Paula White, Jensen Franklin, Franklin Graham.
Okay.
Quickly in the middle of this news.
Yes.
Do you know why Paula White was standing alongside of him?
I do, but tell us.
Because Paula White was the first one to lead him to Jesus Christ years ago.
Wow.
Ministers to his family.
And that's why he has depended upon her to help bring the gospel to him and his family.
You know, I'm going to tell a secret out of school.
I probably shouldn't say it, but I'm going to tell it anyway.
All those preachers there, do you know she is responsible for making that list to give, in fact, Paula called me and talked to me, you know, said, I want you to go to the White House.
Can you imagine?
This young lady, and she's been a preacher woman.
She has her own church, but she has gone through some valleys.
But I'll tell you what, I'm prison tested, and she's been in the valleys.
She has, with the media especially.
Hasn't she?
And so here's the thing.
Stop judging, church.
Let's love one another.
Let's love the blacks.
Let's love the Spanish.
Mando.
The Latinos, Spanish, Mexicans.
Tell all the Mexicans that we love them.
Los queremos mucho así que quieremos que usted es sepan que estamos con ustedes y aquí émos para servirles.
Because it's time.
I just had one of the Spanish leaders standing right here with me talking a few seconds ago.
And I'm telling you, it's time we bring all God's people together.
We start standing together.
Bishop Ron Webb, who is on our board of directors, also, we're doing some things together.
And our network, we want to be able to be a network that brings red, yellow, black, and white, all God's people back together.
There's been a warfare against this.
And people believe that somehow, because if you're Republican or conservative, that you don't like Mexicans or you don't like blacks, that's a lie.
If you don't know, if you don't love one another, you're not saved.
Well, I'm preaching too much today.
But can we roll that piece there in the control room if we have that?
Of the president on the National Day of Prayer.
And by the way, I was there when Ronald Reagan signed the National Day of Prayer.
I have it in my dressing area there where the green room.
And I'm telling you, I am so thrilled that the president honored the National Day of Prayer.
Let's go to it right now.
From the founding of this nation, Americans have claimed that ancient promise that if his people, who are called by his name, will humble themselves and pray and seek his face, that he will hear from heaven and heal their land.
In 1952, President Harry Truman and the Congress formally established this National Day of Prayer as a time set aside each year for the American people to turn to God in prayer and meditation.
Faith is deeply embedded into the history of our country, the spirit of our founding, and the soul of our nation.
Today, my administration is leading by example as we take historic steps to protect religious liberty in the United States of America.
Yet for too long, the federal government has used the power of the state as a weapon against people of faith, bullying and even punishing Americans for following their religious beliefs.
That's been happening.
This executive order directs the IRS not to unfairly target churches and religious organizations for political speech.
No one should be censoring sermons or targeting pastors.
So I want to say to everybody in attendance and everybody in our country and everybody in the world, God bless you and God bless America.
Thank you all very much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Wow.
Did you ever think that we would see the day when the scripture is being quoted, pastors were there, probably 100 preachers standing around them there, and they were reading scriptures.
And before this, they had times of prayer.
And here's what he said.
It's written down here.
We will not allow, this is our president, we will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied, or silenced again.
And we have been silenced.
And we will never stand for religious discrimination.
What did you think when the vice president started with that scripture?
I just think that scripture is so, that was such a great choice of scripture.
It is so hopeful for us to remember that.
That scripture is 2 Chronicles 7.
Read it again.
It says, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven.
I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land.
We need our land healed and we need to humble ourselves as Americans.
Now that we have this religious freedom, it's time to step up.
It's time to pray for our leaders.
It's time to step up as Christians and stand for what we believe in.
So that was an amazing moment, but that day never stopped.
Then they passed the health bill.
I don't know what they call the new one.
What's the name of it officially?
Healthcare bill.
Healthcare Bill.
Yes, sir.
And that's a nice simple name for it.
But that was passed.
And now there's people lining up to grumble about it.
I don't think one Democrat voted for it.
I don't understand that.
You'd think it would be one or two.
But I believe now it goes to the Senate.
And this is the thing you've got to remember.
It's going to be changed some more.
And if you have a senator, I'm sure you do.
Everybody should have a senator that they know with your own senator in your own area, in your own state, that is in Washington.
And if you see something in this bill, you're going to be able to read it.
Don't you think people ought to be able to criticize it and fix it if there's a problem with it?
Let's make it the greatest health bill ever passed for America.
John?
You know, Cora and I were just discussing this morning.
Ann Graham Lott's had quite a bit.
I love her.
Yes.
You know, and it's great to see some of the elect that God has put in places around the United States to be able to come out and share at the White House out on the lawn about their feelings about their religious freedom that we now get to express.
Yes.
And for anybody that really doesn't think that that was occurring just a few months ago, one of the pastors from Georgia, the IRS, came down and basically asked him to turn over all of his sermons after discussing with his audience what is holy living.
So from that moment on, he had to turn over his sermons and he was later removed from his position.
Well, Ann Graham Lotz has been on this show, as you guys know.
We love her here.
She's a chairperson of the National Day of Prayer.
She was at the ceremony yesterday.
And here's an article here that says, Ann Graham Lotz says, Donald Trump's executive order on religious liberty is wonderful, but it won't fix the spiritual drought.
She says there's a spiritual drought in our nation right now.
And I'm interested, Pastor, what do you think are the signs of the spiritual drought?
Well, it's exactly what the Bible says.
And all the things that would happen that men would fall away from love and from serving God.
And it's time to say, God, you're in control.
I've got a lot of scripture I want to share.
What about the coming pandemics?
What about all these things?
The communication.
I believe with all of my heart, Cora, that right now we are at the very first horse of the apocalypse.
I believe that horse has been riding.
It's the words.
I'll tell you, look at what this story is.
This, this, this, you know, I'm sorry because I'm not supposed to get mad, but this story makes me mad.
Okay.
And you get my age, you can say it.
But there's a campaign, and I don't, I don't do this.
I don't get people fired.
I got fired.
Well, I got hauled off to prison at one time in my life because people set me up and set it up to make it happen.
But this headline says, Fire Colbert.
Twitter campaign gained steam after Stephen Colbert profaned Donald Trump.
There's almost a war.
Well, it's not almost.
There is a war.
And if you look in the word of God, you will see that there is a war going on.
And I believe with all my heart that war is from the first horse.
Let me read it to you quickly.
Revelation 6:2.
And I saw and behold a white horse, and he sat on him and had a bow and a crown and gave unto him.
And he went forth conquering and to conquer.
This is spiritual warfare.
This is the Antichrist spirit that's marching.
And when you see almost all the newscasters are against the president, absolutely.
Almost all the people in Hollywood are against the president.
That's right.
You know, name some more people.
All of them, newscasters, the college professors.
Absolutely.
Social media itself is a war with our president.
My question to you is: could we be in the middle of a civil war of words?
We are in a civil war.
It's a civil war which life and death is in the power of the tongue.
That's what the Bible says.
Did anybody ever?
Yep, Proverbs 18:21.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Where is that located?
Proverbs 18:21.
I want everybody to write that down because that's where we life and death is in the power of the tongue.
And what they're trying to do is kill the president.
Yes.
And not only that.
Mondo, I had a word from God, and I wasn't going to say it because I don't want to be accused of anything.
But I believe there's going to be an attempt on the president's life.
Absolutely.
And I believe that they're trying to assassinate him with words.
I've never, this thing with Colbert is awful.
It's filthy.
It's the dirtiest thing.
It used to be, if you would say that, the FCC would have taken you off the air.
And it's strange because a few years ago, this man professed to be a wonderful Catholic person from a Catholic background.
And for someone to speak that way of your president or any leadership, you see, there's a fine line between comedy and being a newscaster.
Yes.
Did you guys see it?
Did you see it?
Absolutely.
Did you see it?
I was upset about it.
Have you seen it?
I have.
Yes.
Enemies of Truth Spread Lies 00:05:24
You saw it?
Raw.
Yes.
And it wasn't even funny.
No, it's filthy.
And I mean, but every night they do this.
And newscasters do this.
Yeah, they do.
And the Bible says that we are to honor those in authority in a country.
You know, in Isaiah chapter 32, verse 5 says, the vile person, the word vile can be put as unpleasant, dreadful, atrocious, offensive, repulsive person shall no more be called noble, nor the rogue.
What is rogue?
The good for nothing, the villain will be spoken as generous.
The people that are tearing each other apart are people that are being celebrated today.
People that go out being ferocious and vicious on Twitter or social media are the people that we're building a platform for.
And whatever happened to being respectful to the leadership of the United States, whether you agree or disagree, you have to learn how to lose.
I don't think the other side has learned how to lose.
Therefore, they're finding everything to be very sensitive and they get offended immediately.
And we're losing the battle and we're losing our country.
Therefore, you understand why there's such a split in the middle of the country.
Enemies of the gospel watch this show, watch our show to look for mistakes, to look if there anything that they can hurt us.
And what they've done now, they're attacking one of our guests.
Yes.
And here's the headline.
Eschatology expert and in-time author Joel Richardson is under fire for speaking spiritual insight into escalating violence and protest in the United States.
The mainstream media is livid at his insight, though.
You know, you just talked to Joel.
Could we get a, let's roll that little piece.
Absolutely.
I'd like for you guys to see what Joel had to comment on it about this situation.
And then I'm going to talk to you about what he said right now on Twitter about the Baker family and us.
Watch this.
Hey, Pastor Jim and Laurie and the whole Jim Baker audience.
It's Joel Richardson.
And it appears that we have stirred up the hornet's nest.
After my most recent appearance on your show, Jim, the communist, the Hungarian communist George Soros funded group known as rightwingwatch.org, as well as the Huffington Post, ran a couple of fake news articles with the headlines stating that I, while on your show, had said that anyone who protests Trump is actually protesting God.
Now, is that what I said?
Of course not, not at all.
What was said on the show is very simple, is that you have groups such as Black Lives Matters and some of these other protest groups, which are indeed funded by and paid for by groups like the Soros Foundation and his various foundations, as well as groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.
And these are clearly people and groups who are enemies of the American people.
So it's not surprising that groups like Right Wing Watch are acting as though they are enemies of the American people, seeking to divide the American people by putting out fake news.
And so what I said is when you look at the irrational rage, when you look at a protests out at Berkeley, where people claim to be upset with Donald Trump or Christians or anyone, and they are destroying things, they're burning things, they're violent, they're threatening to kill the president, threatening to kill people, the incredibly increased level of violence that we've seen over just the past few months.
This is an irrational rage.
And this is a rage which is fomented, in fact, by fake news groups such as rightwingwatch.org.
And the only way that you can truly account for this is to say that ultimately, spiritually, behind all of this, it's much more than just anger at Donald Trump or anger at conservatives or Christians or this sort of thing.
It's actually a demonically empowered, satanically empowered rage that people are actually giving themselves over to a satanic rage within themselves.
And, you know, there's no other way to call it.
Now, listen, as far as the rest of us, we are going to continue to speak the truth in love.
And when they try to distort our words, we'll just correct them on it.
You know, we are indeed in a spiritual battle.
And it's essential that those of us that are disciples of Jesus, yes, of course, we're going to be loving, but we need to be direct.
And I think that we're living in a time when the enemies of the country, the enemies of God, the enemies of truth, the deceivers, the distorters of truth, are going to continue to spread their lies.
We are going to be that much more bold and confrontational and direct.
You know, essentially, the message of the world to the church is this: Shut up and go feed the poor.
The Four Horses Of The Apocalypse 00:03:04
You know, go do your acts of service and this sort of thing, but shut up.
We have a message.
It's called the gospel.
And it is the power of God unto salvation.
No man will find eternal life other than through the message found in the gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So amen and amen.
Lord bless you all, and I continue to look forward to continuing to partner with you as the spiritual battle rages on in the days ahead.
Joel Richardson, under fire by the same group that watches us every day and watches people like Hannity, who's been talking about it.
They're trying to destroy the conservative movement.
There's warfare.
What is it?
The four horses of the apocalypse are riding now.
We're in the final days of earth.
We're in the days before the coming of the Lord.
And I believe with all my heart, the white horse and rider is the warfare of the Antichrist spirit, the power of life and death in the tongue.
It's a warfare of the tongue.
I got a few minutes left, but I just want to tell you what's coming next, Mondo.
And I'll tell you, here it is.
Let's go to Revelation 6:3.
I was giving you Revelation 6:2, the white horse.
Now, what's happened?
This is the second seal.
This is the next horse.
And I hear the second living being say, Come and see.
And it went out a horse that was red, flame color, fire-like, and power was given to him that sat therein to take peace and prosperity from the earth, and that they should kill.
And that means butcher, slaughter, maim, violent.
This is why, next part, I believe an atomic bomb could be fired shortly in the world for this slaughter, this meme, this violent to one another.
And there was given unto him a great sword.
They didn't have bombs back then when this was written.
So what does it mean?
A great fear, exceedingly great.
The high, large, loud, mighty to make you sore afraid, strong mega sword.
This is the warfare that I believe comes next.
So what's coming next?
We're going to have physical warfare coming next on earth.
And as we go along with these four horses, we're going to have one of the news stories that I have today is about the coming pandemic.
Syria's Proposal: War in Action 00:03:51
It says in headline, the big one is coming and it's going to be a flu pandemic.
Experts say we're due for one.
When it happens, they tell us it will probably have a greater impact on humanity than anything else currently happening in the world.
And that comes from CNN.
But listen to me.
This is also, this is probably the fourth horseman right there.
It's in the news today.
What's next, Mondo?
You know, one of the things is when you look at the scripture that you just read, you realize before you take a reaction, there has to be action taking place.
The action takes place with verbs and nouns and adjectives that comes out of your mouth and people get upset at each other when they use words that can get you upset.
And to retaliate, what is the best retaliation?
Is war.
Oh, you want some of me?
Then I'm going to give you a little piece of my mind and a piece of action.
Therefore, war begins to take place.
What's happening in the news right now that is taking place that it is going to be a surprise?
Again, it takes me back to the word that God gave you in 1999 to watch out for Russia, watch out for Turkey, watch out for North Korea.
And what did we just find out a few hours ago?
Right now, there's so much going on between the United States, North Korea, Iran.
And just recently, we all learned that Iran had tested a missile to be shot out of one of their miniature submarines, which they are in cahoots with North Korea.
And I find it also very interesting who is also protecting and playing a role between Iran and North Korea.
That would be Russia.
Now, just a day or two ago, Russia, for the fifth time, had flown over northern Alaska.
Now, I find it very interesting.
We're talking about the possibility of nuclear warfare, and we're seeing everybody right now on the edge of their toes, you know, waiting for something to happen.
Meanwhile, the U.S. warplanes have been barred from flying over Syria's safe zones.
So right now, you know, Russia has pushed this proposal to keep us out and from flying over.
Wow, John, this is powerful.
Here's the thing God has spoken to me my whole life.
When your enemies start getting together, you better get on high alert.
Because our enemies, we got Iran, we got Russia, we got, you know, North Korea.
We have these people with connections.
You know, North Korea hasn't been able to build the atomic bomb by themselves.
They've had people working with them.
I believe China has even helped them.
But you're seeing this happening, Mondo.
What I find interesting is this, and this article that John was just reading, it says, in Syria, under a Russian proposal that has the backing of the Iran and Turkey reports on Friday.
So everyone in this war, in this war of words, we are noticing that they are tied to each other.
The ties of Russia and Iran and North Korea and Syria are tying together.
So what's behind everyone hanging out together?
Are they going to ambush the United States?
Are they going to ambush Israel?
I don't know.
I think something is about to happen and we're going to see the war or words taking place into action.
War Of Words 00:02:56
And that's where we have to.
The second horse is it, Mondo?
That's it.
Then the war of words is going to escalate into a real war.
I believe the Third World War has already begun.
I believe it's been going on for quite a while.
I think it has.
It's a new kind of war.
Yeah, it's the new kind of war.
And terrorism is at the heart of it.
That's it.
Because every war starts with words.
Yes.
Oh, I can't say that anymore.
Mondo, this thing with Colbert and others, and it's not just him, but I'll tell you what, when I saw his monologue the other night, it was so vile, you know, and it just, it was like, if I've been controlled by the FCC my whole life, I've had to deal with the FCC.
Not many years ago, they would have taken him and the show off the air.
It would have gone black.
I'm saying it was pornography.
Absolutely.
You know, I get so mad because you Christians out there, you don't even know sometimes what's going on.
That's why we try to bring it to you.
I really can't say what he said.
No, you can't.
Because I could be taken, they'll probably take me off the air if I just quote it.
It's inappropriate.
It's downright inappropriate.
It's pornography.
Exactly.
And I have a scripture here.
It's Proverbs 15:7.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
And what happened to sticks and I mean, people say sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Well, words are everything.
Like the scripture said, life and death are in the power of the tongue.
And God created this world with words.
They matter.
I want to leave the people, and our time is gone.
I hate it.
But this half hour goes really fast for me.
Listen to Isaiah 32:5.
Just wrote this scripture down just minutes ago.
This is where we are.
And what Cobra did is vile.
Yes, it's unpleasant.
Does the Bible talk to this?
Yes.
The vile person shall no more be called noble.
We think it's cool.
It's our leaders doing this.
It's Hollywood.
It's the people our kids look up to as idols.
For the vile person will speak nonsense and his heart will work iniquity and practice hypocrisy and to utter error against the Lord.
Oh, this is powerful.
I wish I had more time.
The instruments also of the rogue are evil.
He devises wicked schemes to destroy the poor with lying words.
This is all the time I have.
But remember, God wins.
God's people win.
We're in war.
But greater is he that's in you than he that is in the world.
If you know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
