Sharia's Convergence Threat

| What is Sharia law? | |
| Sharia law is just simply, if you're a Muslim, you would say it's God's laws. | |
| They believe it's the laws that Allah, their God, commands them to live by and impose upon the world. | |
| Thou shalt not kill. | |
| Not exactly that. | |
| Thou shalt not kill another Muslim. | |
| The problem is every other Muslim is usually an apostate. | |
| So right now we have something, the word that's been very popular lately is convergence. | |
| We have a convergence of multiple issues all coming together right now. | |
| If you look at the history of warfare, you see these punctuated moments where things just take a quantum leap forward. | |
| In 1453, after multiple, multiple tries, you finally had Mehmet the Conqueror, Mehmet Fatih, who was able to take Istanbul or Constantinople, which he renamed as Istanbul. | |
| Why was he able to do that? | |
| Because that is the time when they finally developed gunpowder. | |
| All of a sudden, the whole world changed. | |
| Right now, we have, in terms of a convergence, we have dramatic new technologies. | |
| You think about it now. | |
| Someone can take an iPad through the airport, and that thing can be a bomb. | |
| So this is one issue, is new technologies. | |
| We have things, crazy things, drones the size of mosquitoes and things that are undetectable. | |
| Now, of course, security technology is developing as well. | |
| You know, we're creating billions of sensors and, you know, the eye in the sky, so to speak, is everywhere. | |
| But beyond that, we have information technology. | |
| We have social media. | |
| You look at ISIS. | |
| ISIS was able to recruit over 30,000 young kids from all over the world to come and join their movement. | |
| They made jihad, they made ISIS seem cool to many of these, not just kids, but most often kids. | |
| There's a movie called Inception, and in that, they say the hardest virus to cure someone of is an idea. | |
| So if you can implant an idea into someone's mind to where they believe it's their own idea, how do you get that out? | |
| So here's the point. | |
| If you can get the idea into some kid's mind that, not just any idea, God wants him to use these new technologies or random technologies that he can learn on the internet to go out and randomly kill himself and others. | |
| How can you stop that? | |
| You can't. | |
| You can't stop that. | |
| And so, you know, we're in this race to develop new technology to be able to stop this. | |
| There's no way of stopping it. | |
| If this movement continues to grow, which it is, again, 30,000 young kids recruited to one of the most evil, vile movements in the history of mankind. | |
| We haven't recruited 3,000 young people to go to the Middle East to proclaim the gospel. | |
| They are crushing us in terms of the propaganda machine. | |
| And if this movement continues to grow and spread, then absolutely it's going to explode across the United States. | |
| I think Europe is just a small prelude to what we're going to see all over the world. | |
| And unfortunately, we do. | |
| We have to get used to it. | |
| I'm not saying we have to accept it, but we have to prepare ourselves for it, absolutely. | |
| And I'll just quote the most widely used seventh grade textbook in Islamic schools in the United States, which says this. | |
| Islam is not a religion. | |
| It is a complete way of life. | |
| And it goes on to say the duty of the citizen is to be loyal to the Islamic State. | |
| Now, that's taught to American Muslims in Islamic schools here in the United States. | |
| And that's the book they use more than any other to teach Islam. | |
| It's called What Islam is All About. | |
| And I discuss it frequently, and we teach with it. | |
| But it says that Islam is a complete way of life, social, cultural, military, political, and religious, all governed by Islamic law, Sharia. | |
| And that the stated purpose of Islam is to ensure that Sharia is the law of the land in the entire world. | |
| So, yes, Sharia adherent Muslims have penetrated our system, but it's worse than that. | |
| I would argue, and my challenge, which has been very public, is find a senior Islamic advisor at the State Department, in the White House, the National Security Staff, the Pentagon, the FBI, CIA, DHSD, DIA, who is a Muslim, who is not part of this jihadi network. | |
| Now, they may not be Muslim brothers, but they are ideologically, ideologically aligned. | |
| It's the idea that Sharia has to be the law of the land, that Islam has to dominate everything else. | |
| They are seeking to overthrow the government, which is where we have to draw the line. | |
| Wow. | |
| And so that's where they join what you were speaking about earlier. | |
| That's where they join the hard-left Marxist movement, is they want to overthrow the government. | |
| They want to create a situation where there's so much chaos that Islam comes down, lays the hammer down, and they offer the solution. | |
| And to many people, it will seem like a better solution. | |
| You still have people in the Soviet Union today said, well, you know, yes, Stalin killed 30 million, but we had a loaf of bread on the table. | |
| I mean, that's how powerful these ideas are. | |
| And we need to understand that our system has been penetrated. | |
| These things that we've been seeing that have been happening have been intentional. | |
| First, by the Soviet Union, by the hard-left Marxists, by the Islamic movement. | |
| There are a number of movements working together here. | |
| But over well over 60 years, this has been going on. | |
| We have not been intentional. | |
| We have not been intentional. | |
| I would argue, and based on going around the country and training citizens, law enforcement, members of Congress, speaking with national leaders, there is a gross, just a huge vacuum of understanding of our founding principles. | |
| A huge vacuum. | |
| In our declaration, it says our founding is based on the law of nature and nature's God. | |
| And legally, legally, that is defined in Blackstone's commentaries as the law of nature, how we exhibit how God exhibits himself in nature. | |
| And the law of nature's God is legally described as Holy Scripture. | |
| That's the basis for our legal and political, our governmental system. | |
| Try teaching that in a public school today. | |
| And yet that's all that was taught for the first couple hundred years, certainly 150 years in this country. | |
| It's what was taught in our law schools. | |
| And so it was an intentional assault, which is what I love about Joel's work, because he peels that back. | |
| It's an assault not just against our founding principles, but if it's an assault on our founding principles, it's assault on God and God's word and God's church. | |
| And so God's church has to make an effort to actually fight against it. | |
| And it isn't by hiding in your closet and just praying. | |
