Ten Commandments Call
00:15:03
|
|
| If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under. | |
| Where we are no longer a Christian nation. | |
| I believe God is trying to say to this nation, I'm giving you one last merciful call. | |
| Welcome to generation, what do we call ourselves? | |
| Revelation in the News. | |
| Generation in the news. | |
| No, no, the generation. | |
| Generation in general. | |
| What generation are you? | |
| I guess they're the millennial. | |
| The millennial. | |
| Yes. | |
| I got a lot of millennials with me today on Generation in the News. | |
| And today I'm the host. | |
| I get the host. | |
| And this is a show that was a dream of mine several years ago. | |
| In fact, when I was away studying in the prison, actually, God spoke to me that I was to come out and bring the Revelation, the book of Revelation, and be a watchman on the wall and warn people of what's happening right now. | |
| I'm Jim Baker. | |
| And I'm John Woodall. | |
| And I'm Cora Kurzan. | |
| I'm Sasha Valls. | |
| Namando de la Vega. | |
| And this is Revelation in the News today, and there's a lot of news breaking. | |
| And I want to share some of the things that are going on right now. | |
| You know, let's start with some good news. | |
| Since November 8th, Election Day, the stock market has posted a $3.2 trillion gain. | |
| All right. | |
| You know, you know, all the sad sacks around the nation and the reporters that are telling us all things are bad. | |
| I would say if I'm going to say all, all things are looking a lot better. | |
| Yes. | |
| And the thing that's bad is the warfare that's going on. | |
| Consumer confidence is at a 15-year high. | |
| It's amazing. | |
| And to see before this election, before this candidate took office, President Trump, before all of that, the whole Dow Jones, all of the stock market was so down. | |
| The numbers were so far down, record lows. | |
| And now we're in record highs. | |
| It's just amazing to see these extremes. | |
| And now we're going into this great time. | |
| I think so much is happening. | |
| There's a lot. | |
| And it's all about, John, is warfare. | |
| Yes. | |
| It's about all the news. | |
| I mean, the atheists in a school district, and I believe it's Pennsylvania, and this is a news story for me today. | |
| They are demanding that the school remove this massive Ten Commandment monument. | |
| And guess what? | |
| They've agreed to do so. | |
| I say, let's resist. | |
| Let's say no ground. | |
| We have as much power. | |
| In fact, we have more power as Christians than anybody on earth. | |
| And it's time for us to stand up for our rights. | |
| What are you kids saying? | |
| I have a question for you on that. | |
| Is that not blackmail? | |
| If they're trying to pass something that says you will not get federal funding, but if your school does not abide by these rules, then we're going to keep you. | |
| We're not going to fund your school and you'll have to close your doors eventually. | |
| We'll have to find a way to privately get enough money to support having children in education. | |
| Can you imagine how much this has cost them in blackmail money and just fighting this case? | |
| It was, I think, 2012, wasn't it, when it started? | |
| And they're asking the school to pay $164,000 legal bill from other people's legal funds, you know, for other people's problems. | |
| And so this is the thing that keeps going on. | |
| And we have a new leader in America, a leader who believes in the Bible, a leader who believes in the God. | |
| I believe that it is time to say, we want our Ten Commandments back. | |
| Amen. | |
| You let pornography go out. | |
| I'll tell you, I've got a story coming up today, and I don't know which one of you have it, but I may take it from you because you'll help me with it anyway. | |
| We have a story about witchcraft in the United States. | |
| Witches have freedom. | |
| Why shouldn't God's people have freedom? | |
| You know, it messes with our lifestyle. | |
| And I think that's one of the biggest problems is that anything that messes with your lifestyle, you're going to go up against it. | |
| And the Bible speaks clearly about sin. | |
| And if sin is part of your life, then you're going to go up against whatever the Bible has described for us to live by. | |
| So that's one of the reasons why they fight the Ten Commandments so hard is because it's messing with people's lifestyles on a daily basis. | |
| I think I read your news about the Ten Commandments being removed. | |
| You are an editor of a college newspaper. | |
| I am. | |
| I am. | |
| I am editor of the Outlook student newspaper at College of the Ozarks. | |
| I'm a great college. | |
| Yes, a great college in the United States. | |
| That honors God. | |
| Yes, honors God, honors patriotism. | |
| That is one of our five. | |
| We have a five-fold mission to honor God, patriotism, academics, and everything else. | |
| Can I welcome you to Revelation in the news? | |
| I'm so happy to be here. | |
| And I hope you will stay with it. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because it's a little nervous. | |
| You're a print journalist. | |
| I am, yes. | |
| But now you're going to be an on-the-air journalist. | |
| Yes, stepping into that for sure. | |
| And I'm excited for it. | |
| And I'm excited to have you here. | |
| Aren't you, John? | |
| I am. | |
| You know, I was watching her interview with you the other day, and she said something that I really got excited about, which is, you know, she's totally for smaller government and more control for the people, for our country. | |
| Yes, I'm a believer that the government should, first of all, the laws of the government should follow up with the, or should line up with the moral standards that God has set for us. | |
| I mean, just we're talking about the Ten Commandments here. | |
| God gave us those Ten Commandments to reveal his character to us because he is the definition of good. | |
| So when you take the Ten Commandments out of the schools like this, where is the true north in a moral compass for these children? | |
| Learning what is right and wrong. | |
| And I just think that that is just a, it's not a good thing. | |
| There's no way it's a good thing. | |
| What do you think about this Ten Commandments story? | |
| Because this thing is like, what, 10 foot tall? | |
| I don't remember. | |
| Yes. | |
| And they have agreed. | |
| This is grievous to me. | |
| They've agreed to rip out this massive stone monument. | |
| You know, what's wrong with thou shall not kill? | |
| Yeah, absolutely. | |
| You know, what's wrong with any of the Ten Commandments? | |
| Yeah. | |
| Right. | |
| The love one another and all the things that the Ten Commandments. | |
| And yet you could have a pornography book in school, but you couldn't have the Ten Commandments. | |
| Yeah, that is absolutely unbelievable to me. | |
| And what's even more unbelievable is that the school's superintendent actually said that they would have had a chance. | |
| He thinks that they had a winnable case. | |
| But he has decided to agree to do this in order to just take the high road and kind of avoid the argument. | |
| So that's really sad. | |
| I disagree. | |
| I disagree with him. | |
| I think it's time to fight. | |
| I think we're in a war. | |
| And I see what's going on in America right now. | |
| I don't know if I have the story out today, one of you newscasters, but the story about them banning Trump. | |
| They're banning his daughter's stuff. | |
| You're a sharp-looking woman, right? | |
| And you understand the Trump daughters. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| You know, it's not their fault that their dad's running for president. | |
| No, and to be able to say that they're going to remove these women's lines, Ivanka Trump, it is not a reflection of her father. | |
| That's her own person. | |
| That's her own company that she's built from the ground up and to punish her and to take her line out of the stores and say, we're not making it available to the public for you to buy it. | |
| It doesn't make sense because now they're removing it from the public. | |
| The public isn't asking for it, but now they're taking the liberty into their hands to withhold it from the public, and it's wrong. | |
| You know, we've had this story on our show, the Jim Baker show, and I'm overwhelmed by it. | |
| In fact, I was so angry because I don't think politicians and political systems should be telling us what stores to shop at or not to shop at. | |
| I know your favorite coffee store, Mondo. | |
| It used to be, not anymore. | |
| But what did he say? | |
| The CEO, what did he say? | |
| The CEO said that if you believe on traditional marriage, you are not welcome in my store. | |
| Wow. | |
| And, you know, it didn't say anti-gay. | |
| No. | |
| If you just believe and believe a different way. | |
| You have a mom and dad. | |
| I do. | |
| Yes. | |
| And you were born from a mom and dad. | |
| Yes. | |
| Well, I'm born from a mom and dad. | |
| That's called traditional marriage. | |
| What's wrong with that? | |
| What happened to freedom of religion? | |
| Yeah. | |
| They're trying to snuff it out like we don't have a say. | |
| But I'm telling you this news story, and every day we hear of another big company that's banning Trump products. | |
| There's 127 companies right now that are standing to ban anything that has to do with Trump, anything linked to President Trump. | |
| That is one of the most shocking things because we use these products on a daily basis. | |
| Well, TJ Maxx. | |
| One of them. | |
| Forgive me, TJ Max, but you let us down. | |
| Yes. | |
| You shouldn't be, you're saying, you know what, when you do these things, you're just saying, I don't want the business of 50% of America. | |
| Do you know one of the big stores that started out being Antichrist and being all these crazy things? | |
| I'm not going to name them. | |
| But that store's business is dropping every month. | |
| Because they said, we don't want the Christians' business. | |
| Well, Christians, I think, I don't know, I think just in one deal, they had like 150 million people sign a petition that they wouldn't shop at that store anymore. | |
| That's right. | |
| And I'll tell you what, I don't want to fight, but I'm willing to fight because I believe that we're in a warfare. | |
| And I believe America, I believe right now, if Donald Trump hadn't been elected, this is commentary on the news, I guess. | |
| But I believe if Donald Trump hadn't been elected, our shows, those who stick their neck out, who preach the gospel, and stand up for what's right, I believe they would literally have seen to it that this year would have been the last year that we could have been on the air. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And this is why it's so important right now that we do have President Trump, that we stand up and we're not silent anymore because so much happens. | |
| Everything is taken away when we're silent. | |
| It takes one protest. | |
| It takes one person to say, I'm going to start a lawsuit, and then the Ten Commandments are taken out of schools. | |
| But if we stand up as the majority, we are the majority. | |
| Are Christians in the nation of America, the United States of America? | |
| If we stand up together and say we're not going to have it in our nation, this nation was founded on biblical values. | |
| We believe in the sovereign God, and we want to stand up and we are not going to kick out our God of our nation and kick him out of the schools. | |
| We're not going to kick him out of our churches to be able to speak on biblical topics within our churches as well. | |
| That's even starting to be censored down. | |
| And so we can't allow ourselves to be censored or else we're going to be silenced. | |
| It all starts with censorship and then it goes into silence. | |
| So we have to stand up. | |
| There's so many stores and businesses banning Trump products right now and his daughter's product that it would have time on the show. | |
| Maybe we could put these on our website so they could find those. | |
| There's one news article today from CNN. | |
| 127 companies that are fighting Donald Trump. | |
| They say that 127 companies have signed the motion supporting the soup brought by the Attorney General of Minnesota and Washington State. | |
| Almost all tech companies have come to this conclusion that they are going to sign this petition to stop anything that has to be linked with President Trump and any of his families. | |
| You know, you all just handed me this list before I went on the air of the new list. | |
| And I said I'm not going to read them all and I'm not, but my eyes fell down on one. | |
| Uh-oh. | |
| John, I don't know about you, but I'm a Levi wearer. | |
| I wore Levi since I was born almost. | |
| That's that's like true there. | |
| And Levi's have signed this thing against. | |
| I don't understand why anybody would say we don't want Christians wearing our pants. | |
| We don't want Christians drinking our coffee. | |
| Yet if they were trying to say it against any other religion, it would be okay. | |
| It would say, and everybody would stand up and say, no, we can't allow them to say that we can't wear their clothing if it was a different religion, if it's a different people group. | |
| But it's because they're attacking the Christians that nobody's standing up for the Christians. | |
| Sasha, you have a news story today about the witches. | |
| Yes, and it's actually very shocking. | |
| I have an article right here, and it says, Witches target Trump with mass occult ritual. | |
| It says, and it's actually urging, it says, Christian leaders urge prayer to protect the president against demonic realm. | |
| It's not just a political battle anymore, it's a spiritual warfare now. | |
| Exorcists, witches, and occultists, and a number of magical groups are announcing their plans for rituals designed to bind Donald Trump and all who abet him. | |
| And they're actually trying to bring out and invoking the demons of the infernal realms. | |
| Mondo, you have that story from Charisma News also. | |
| That is a shocking news story. | |
| Yes. | |
|
Survival Canteen Kit
00:03:09
|
|
| This is a headline coming from Charisma News: Spiritual Warfare Declaring Against Donald Trump. | |
| This is why it's so important for us to understand that it's a spiritual warfare, it's not carnal, the Bible talks about right, right? | |
| And this is, you know, Pastor, one of the things that as Christians, we need to understand that in order to understand the times that we're in right now, we have to see everything, every headline through a biblical perspective. | |
| And that's what I want more. | |
| That's what we're here to do. | |
| This is something so incredible. | |
| This is our beautiful survival canteen kit. | |

| Show by this is your first day on Revelation in the News. | |
| It's good. | |
| Well, this is powerful. | |
| I hate to rush, but we're going to run out of time because we're used to an hour show. | |
| A little short. | |
| It is a 30-minute show. | |
| One more story you have. | |
| Yes. | |
| I believe it's you. | |
| It's the one that about Lana Del Rey. | |
| Yeah, that's it. | |
| And this is very shocking. | |
| I was reading through this, but Lana Del Rey, she's an American pop sensation right now. | |
| Lana Del Rey is joined Witches to cast a midnight spell on Donald Trump. | |
| And it says the singer took to Twitter to announce her spellbinding plans, which she is planning to do at least four more times. | |
| So she's urging people to join her in this quest to bring down Donald Trump as well. | |
| This is a singing star, right? | |
| Yes, she's major. | |
| Major singing star. | |
| Many millennials. | |
| That's why I have these kids on. | |
| But this is what shocks me. | |
| Did you see the awards the other night? | |
| Yes. | |
| Yes. | |
| And they use that. | |
| You know, Mama Laurie, she is so strong on this now. | |
| She's not even going to people's movies. | |
| She stopped. | |
| And she don't go to movies that much anyway. | |
| But she's banning the people who ban God. | |
| She said, if they ban my God, I don't want to go see it. | |
| I'm not going to spend money for that. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And I'll tell you what, Hollywood needs ticket sales. | |
| And what happened at that award ceremony, I saw it. | |
| And there's scripture and we could preach on it, but we don't have time. | |
| But God basically says when you b mock him, you can be embarrassed. | |
| There's other words that God used that ties in with this. | |
| But they're still talking about it. | |
| The producers of the award show, they're right now losing a major contract because they goofed up at the end of that show and they introduced the wrong winner. | |
| That's right. | |
| There was confusion in that. | |
| Confusion. | |
| And that's what happens. | |
| Well, you know, on this story, and maybe our next show, we could do this more, but let me read. | |
| It says, Among the various spirits invoked by these witches are the demons of the infernal realm. | |
| You know what that means? | |
| That's demons from the pit of hell. | |
| Wow. | |
| You say, Jim, you're a preacher. | |
| What are you doing with the news? | |
| This is what's happening now. | |
| Yes. | |
| They're invoking demons to destroy the president of the United States. | |
| And I shouldn't tell this story, but I'll tell it quickly. | |
| When I went to prison, a very famous preacher was riding in an airplane, commercial airplane, sitting next to a woman who introduced herself as a witch. | |
| And she says, We're meeting to ban the preachers, the television preachers. | |
| We've come in against it. | |
| We're banned. | |
| And especially, we're concentrating on Jim Baker. | |
| All hell came against me. | |
| It's time for the church to wake up. | |
| Greater is he that's in us. | |
| I sound like I'm a preacher. | |
| I'm supposed to be giving the news. | |
| I guess I'm not. | |
| But I'm telling you, it riles me up. | |
| Yes. | |
| Because the witches can have their freedom, but the church can't. | |
| Here's what the word says. | |
| Can I give a scripture? | |
| Yes. | |
| This is my first time, I think, doing this. | |
| I maybe did it at the very beginning one time. | |
| I don't remember. | |
| But Ephesians 6:12. | |
| For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places. | |
| So what do we need? | |
| We need the whole armor of God. | |
| Verse 13 says, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and done all, you will stand. | |
| And that's what is powerful and what we must do today. | |
| I'll tell you, there's a story this week that it's about Jeff Sessions, who is the Attorney General of the United States. | |
| Yeah, the Washington Post reports that Sessions met Sergi Kislyak once at a Heritage Foundation event in 2016, where ambassadors were also present. | |
| It also reports that Sessions met with Kislyak in his Senate office in September. | |
| The whole point of this is that Chuck Schumer is calling for his resignation because they're saying that there's fake news that he lied about saying that he had interaction with the ambassador. | |
| But that's what he's supposed to do. | |
| Exactly. | |
| His job is to meet with the ambassadors of different countries. | |
| You know, it's like there's a group of political people who want to have a war with Russia. | |
| Yes. | |
| They want to stir it up. | |
| You know what Trump wants? | |
| Trump wants to sit down with the leaders of all countries, including Russia. | |
| And I am sick of seeing the attack. | |
| You know, I don't know how many of Trump's cabinet have been elected so far by The senators and all. | |
| But one by one, but it's so slow. | |
| And they covered yesterday up with the Jeff Sessions. | |
| He just got one or two, I think two yesterday, right? | |
| Yes. | |
| That he got into the cabinet. | |
| And Ben, one of my, I just love him. | |
| Ben Carson. | |
| Ben Carson. | |
| In fact, I've wanted to get him on our show because he's such a great man, and he really loves God. | |
| Yes, he does. | |
| And they waited so long, and there's no reason to keep waiting, but they're doing everything in their power to try to stop this president and his team from going forward. | |
| And you know what the Bible says? | |
| A nation divided against itself cannot stand. | |
| And we must get together. | |
| Does anybody else want to talk about this Jeff Session story? | |
| I have something that I feel like the Bible really would add to this because in 2 Timothy 4, 3 through 4, it says, for the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine, but they will gather together themselves, teachers in accordance with their own desires, having itching ears, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and they will turn their ears to the myths. | |
| And I think that's exactly what we're seeing is that is happening right now in this time. | |
| We're seeing these attacks, these accusations, just to stir things up to cause like a dust storm where you can't tell what is truth and what is unreal. | |
| The false news. | |
| You're a journalist. | |
| I am. | |
| Come on now. | |
| Come on, girl. | |
| You're a student yet. | |
| You're an editor of your school college paper. | |
| What is some of the first rules? | |
| What would you say the very first rule of journalism is? | |
| Well, the first rule of journalism is to tell the truth. | |
| Yes. | |
| To tell the truth. | |
| And I didn't coach her on that. | |
| I'm a journalist. | |
| I was the editor of my college paper. | |
| I was editor of my high school paper. | |
| I believe in journalism. | |
| I love journalism, but I'm ashamed of some of them that are trying to kill the president. | |
| Is it our job to report the news? | |
| Report the news. | |
| Report the truth. | |
| And what frustrates me about this Jeff Sessions story is what happened was it was summarized in a way where the wording was just a little bit off to make it sound like it was something other than what it was. | |
| Wow. | |
| And that is something that journalists deal with on a daily basis. | |
| Even one word has a different connotation and can really sway what you think about a subject. | |
| And I think that's what we're dealing with right now with the media. | |
| The media needs to be careful of how we say things because you are really determining what people are going to think about that. | |
| You have a tone of voice. | |
| You'll learn that more if you hang out with us on the show. | |
| That's what's sad. | |
| Because you can see their bias on TV. | |
| You can turn on a network. | |
| Oh, absolutely. | |
| You can see that their bias. | |
| And then they make big, ugly faces when they say something. | |
| That's influencing the news. | |
| Mondo, our time's almost up. | |
| But Stop and Frisk in 2016, which was a year ago. | |
| Yes. | |
| It was down 80% in 2016. | |
| Yes. | |
| And so what happened? | |
| You know, in Chicago, when they decided to put this law into motion, 80% of the crime dropped. | |
| Ever since they stopped, the crime rate has shot up, and now we are facing probably one of the most critical death murders in the United States history. | |
| Matter of fact, more deaths have taken place in Chicago than the last two wars we have fought overseas. | |
| There's a nickname for Chicago. | |
| It's Chirac. | |
| That is a powerful statement. | |
| Coming from the inner city myself, I used to think that Los Angeles was the number one crime-rated area in the United States until Chicago took it upon themselves after this stop and frisk happened a few years ago. | |
| And Pastor, there's a fight going on right now with the left and the right. | |
| The right wants to bring back the stop and frisk. | |
| The left feels that if they do that, it's going to become a very racial-driven type of law. | |
| The question arises, don't you want the murders to stop? | |
| I think if they have suspects that are white, black, red, yellow, whatever color of skin we call them, I believe this stop and frisk, you know, when you see the massive deaths in Chicago, I believe this ought to take place. | |
| I believe anything we can do to stop the massive murders. | |
| Now, you, you're a ghetto boy. | |
| I'm running out of time, but I got to ask you this question before we leave the air. | |
| You were in the war of Los Angeles. | |
| Yes. | |
| In the streets. | |
| Yes, L.A. riots. | |
| And what did they do to you guys, you gangbangers, what did they do? | |
| They put a law into motion, which is stop and frisk. | |
| And if there was two or three in a group, they had every right to arrest you for 24 hours or 48 hours and give you a backup. | |
| Why do you think they did this? | |
| In order to gain control back of the city. | |
| They had lost control of Los Angeles. | |
| Is anybody old enough? | |
| How many years back is that? | |
| Oh, my God. | |
| 24 years? | |
| 24 years. | |
| Wow. | |
| Yeah. | |
| But LA. | |
| LA. | |
| It was a war zone. | |
| LA was born. | |
| The buildings were burning. | |
| The streets were, the stores were on fire. | |
| Yes. | |
| For the first time in history, gangs came together to riot, to set buildings on fire, and the city lost control. | |
| Police officers, let me tell you this. | |
| I'm going to say this. | |
| We, as gangsters, shut down Florence and Normandy down, where police officers were not even welcome. | |
| They could not get into this neighborhood. | |
| And in order to gain control back of the city, what did the United States had to do? | |
| They had to put a law into motion. | |
| Matter of fact, they called it martial law, that by 6 p.m., if you were caught on the streets, you will be arrested. | |
| No questions asked. | |
| Whether you did something good, whether your background was clean or not, the law is the law. | |
| And that was the only way they were able to gain control back of Los Angeles in order to put it back to, you know, in the beginning steps to restore it back into the society. | |
| It seems like our government has been on the side of those criminals. | |
| And in L.A. at that point, they had to do something. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And it worked. | |
| It worked. | |
| It worked. | |
| They got peace back in the streets. | |
| We didn't like it. | |
| It was uncomfortable, but it worked because it brought peace as much as they could back into the city. | |
| Store owners. | |
| They could open their shops again. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| Absolutely. | |
| And I think it brought the economy back into motion, which is one of the number one things that we need in the city is getting our economies back into motion and putting people back to work in order to restore our communities in the United States. | |
| John, did you read the story about the Democrats have not approved the full cabinet? | |
| It's a headline from Fox. | |
| You know, Donald Trump actually tweeted just a couple days ago. | |
| He put it out there that it's so pathetic that the Dems have still not approved his cabinet yet and that they're just dragging their feet. | |
| Now, he's really stepped, you know, came after them, and he basically said, after a conversation, the Senate has stepped up and picked up their pace, moving to confirm Ryan Zink for Interior Secretary and Ben Carson, Housing Secretary, and Rick Perry for Energy Secretary. | |

Everything Possible Thrown At Administration

|
|
| But why is it taking so much of his energy to focus on his department to get things? | |
| Because what it comes down to, the biggest issue is national security. | |
| The longer that they take, the more people that we do not have in their designated positions, more holes that we have, the more problems that we initially could have because there's no one to answer for it. | |
| Man, our time's gone. | |
| You need music on this show. | |
| I didn't know we were running out of time here. | |
| You know, a little music comes in the background. | |
| Some big, powerful news music, you know. | |
| But I want to thank you for watching our show today. | |
| But this story about, you know, it seems like it's little things. | |
| This one, everything possible, they are throwing at this administration. | |
| Yes. | |
| And you know what the Bible says? | |
| The Bible says little foxes spoil the vine. | |
| And they're bringing together everything, everyone, Hollywood, bringing together the gangs in the street, bringing together people who are illegals, bringing everything possible. | |
| But I'll tell you what, it's time for the church to stand up and say, we want our nation back. | |
| We want a nation under God that honors God. | |
| That's it. | |
| Well, I have to go. | |
| Thank you, John. | |
| Cora, thank you for being with us today. | |
| Great to have you here. | |
| Look forward to having you next week. | |
