Great Things Happening 00:04:32
How can even this evil, and you've seen it in the past because you write about it in the book, how can this bring about and be a part of this great final awakening?
I'm excited about it because I'm ready to go up.
But I want to see the great, I want to take 100 million people with us if possible.
First of all, it is an honor to have you with us.
Thank you for being here like that.
I'm just going to say that to you and to Donna and to Josh.
Well, you know, I am amazed at the grace of God.
I was privileged to go to Pakistan and start a church in 2009.
Now, that's not the most friendly area for Christianity.
Went back in 2010 and started a school, went back in 2011 and did some evangelistic work.
But, you know, my prophetic friends, they say, well, you know, the Bible speaks about great apostasy in the end times.
2 Timothy chapter 3, in the last days, there will be perilous times.
But, you know, we seem to have a, what should I say, a predilection for bad news.
We find bad news.
Well, as I look at that scripture in 2 Timothy chapter 3, it speaks about in verse 8.
It says, now as Janice and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate.
And then it says, but they shall proceed no further, for their folly shall be manifest unto all men.
So in this passage that we look at, we say, it's getting worse and worse.
It'll be horrible.
Let's build a bunker.
Let's dig a, it even reminds us here that there will be good things happening.
And then if we look at the same scripture, notice in verse 13, but evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse.
It doesn't say everybody's going to get worse and worse.
It says evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse.
So my experience in Pakistan to see what the Lord is doing there, and of course I've been following all the great things in Egypt and Libya and other parts of the Islamic world, reminded me of the fact that Jesus died for a great multitude of people.
He can make a difference in the lives of people.
He is making a difference in the lives of people.
So God is not done with us.
He's not done with the propitiatory sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, to Telestai, it is finished.
And if you look at the Greek, that means it is finished, something I did in the past with continuing results.
So that means, yeah, Jesus died 2,000 years ago, but the effects of the atonement, the work of the Holy Spirit is continuing even today.
So you might say I'm a pretty hopeful guy and a pretty positive guy because I've actually seen what the Lord can do.
You know, when I go to Pakistan, I look around out in the streets and the cities and I see a lot of angry people.
They look at me and they, you're an American, you know, that kind of thing.
You go to the Christian school and you see those children who have come under the sound of the gospel.
Pretty soon there's a little brown arm that comes around you and they say they're learning English.
I love you very much.
And they sing a song at our school.
It goes like this.
I am special.
I am special.
Don't you see?
Don't you see?
Someone very special.
Someone very special because God loves me.
God loves me.
They don't know that in Pakistan under Islam.
There's no blood covenant in Islam.
There's no grace.
There's no mercy.
There's nothing but hatred and hostility.
When kids find out that, hey, the God in heaven loves them, he sent his son.
You know, I remember the first time I preached from Luke chapter 23 over there where Jesus was on the cross and he had all of these angry people.
They were so angry, but he said, Father, forgive them.
I remember the whole congregation began to weep.
They couldn't believe that.
It wasn't a weeping of sadness.
It was a weeping of joy.
This is the God who doesn't carry a grudge.
He is the God of forgiveness.
He's the God of love.
Yes, there is a lot of doom and gloom and prophecy, but there's also good.
So I'm kind of really a helpful, hopeful person, and I'm looking and seeing even now that God is doing great things.
As a matter of fact, Jim, even in our country, I am amazed at some of the good things that are happening.
You know, if you go back to 1950, 55, it was a time when science and evolution was kind of wiping out the Bible.
God Raises Servants 00:00:39
What happened?
God raised ICR.
Henry Morris, John Morris.
Every time there's been an attack, we see God raising up his servants.
And I believe now, as we see all of the evil, guess what God is doing?
He's raising up servants, just like we have here, like you, like your wife, and like Tom Horne.
So I'm encouraged.
Let's not get sad.
Let's not depress people.
Let's remind people that God is still on the throne and prayer changes things.
By the way, we've been saying that at Southwest Radio Church for 83 years.
