Criminals and Aliens Judged 00:15:30
I believe that at one point in time, that lukewarm Christianity will be a thing of the past.
The Word of God tells us what we can expect in different generations.
And so they're trying to shut out the church.
They're trying to conform the church to the way of the world.
When our enemy says they're coming for us, they mean it.
It's judgment.
It's judgment.
It's God's judgment upon America.
People aren't waking up to that there's a judgment coming.
Hello everybody and welcome to today's episode of Revelation in the News.
I'm Zach Drew.
I'm Sasha Valles.
And I'm Andrew Bellers.
Every Friday, we want to cover the most pressing, most prominent Revelation stories that took place that week in the news.
And this isn't going to be a show about one particular topic.
It really is.
There are so many different news stories that took place this week that we believe you're going to want to know about.
So we're going to start it off.
I'm going to tell you something.
This week I watched an absolutely shocking video.
It was a shocking video.
And I'm honestly, I can't understand why this video hasn't gone completely viral.
It's staggering.
It's absolutely incredible, but it has received almost no press.
And it's all about illegal aliens, thousands and thousands and thousands committing crimes within the United States and simply just being released back out in the public.
And I knew this was happening to some degree, but I had absolutely no idea the enormous situation that is taking place, that the Department of Homeland Security is actually doing a very, very horrible, horrible job at keeping the homeland secure.
This video that I saw, it's Congressman, it's chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Congressman Jason Chaffetz, and he's addressing what's really taking place inside of America.
We're going to comment on this video.
Right now, let's go ahead and roll this video of Congressman Jason Chaffetz.
Preparing for this hearing is one of been, I'm telling you, it's hard to keep your cool in preparing for this meeting.
And let me tell you the heart of why we're here today.
Immigration customs enforcement.
I have met with the men and women who work there, the wonderful, hardworking, dedicated people who do a hard and difficult job.
But I got to tell you, what's going on at Homeland Security, what's going on with immigration customs enforcement is one of the most infuriating things I think I've seen in this government yet.
In a three-year period, immigrations and customs enforcement has released more than 86,000 criminal aliens into the American public.
These are people that were here illegally, got caught committing a crime, were convicted of that crime, and then instead of deporting them, they were just released back out in the United States of America.
All told, they had more than 231,000 crimes that they were convicted of.
86,000 of these people.
In 2015, 196 of these people were convicted of homicide, and ICE released them back into the public rather than deporting them.
124 of those that were released between fiscal year 2010 and 2015 went on to commit homicide.
Let me give you some other stats.
In 2013, ICE released 36,007 criminal aliens, criminal aliens, who are here unlawfully and present in the United States.
As of September 2014, 5,700 of those individuals went on to commit additional crimes.
In March of 2015, ICE director Sarah Saldana testified before this committee that during fiscal year 2014, ICE released another 30,000 individuals with criminal convictions.
In fact, ICE released 30,558 criminal aliens in 2014 who had a combined 79,059 convictions instead of deporting them.
Of those 30,558 criminal aliens, 1,895 were charged with another crime following their release.
Their convictions included sex offenses, assault, burglary, robbery, driving under the influence.
And ICE told us that in 2015, the agency released 19,723 criminal aliens with a combined 64,197 convictions, including 934 sex offenses, 804 robberies, 216 kidnappings, and 196 homicide-related convictions.
And that's on your watch.
They were under, they were here illegally that got caught committing a crime.
They were convicted of the crime.
And instead of following the law and deporting them, you release them back out of the public and they commit more crimes.
How do you look those people in the eye?
How do you go back to a family and say, you know, they were in our detention and we just thought it would be better to let them out into the United States of America?
That is so wholly unacceptable.
I want to show you this football stadium.
This is Notre Dame Football Stadium.
You've released more people that were convicted of crimes that should have been deported than you can fit into that stadium.
You'd still have people waiting outside the line.
Those are the criminals that you released instead of deporting.
Wow.
I mean, that's all I can say as well.
I don't understand how this video hasn't went completely viral.
You know, I actually just randomly came across it.
It was from a speaking.
He was speaking literally just a couple of weeks ago.
And how has this not gotten any press?
I don't know.
Honestly, to me, it's shocking.
And I think it's important to address this before we jump into this topic because it can be a touchy topic.
And I want to be very clear that, you know, what we're going to be talking about today is not hardworking people who are coming to our country trying to look for a better life.
Because the reality is, unless you're 100% Native American, somewhere down your family line, someone made that decision.
And that's why you're here today.
So I want to make that clear so that this is not misconstrued or twisted in any way.
But what we just heard, what we're going to be talking about, are people who have come into our country who've committed criminal acts.
Criminal acts.
And they've murdered.
Yeah, in some cases, horrendous criminal acts were convicted, judged, incarcerated, and then our leadership decided that it was okay to release them back into the country to continue to do the criminal activities that got them where they were in the first place.
And that's actually what even took place in some of those cases.
As you listen to the congressman speaking, they were actually released out into the public.
And some of them went on to commit the very same crime again.
It's shocking.
It doesn't make any sense.
You know, I really believe this is why, honestly, we're not trying to do a political show today, but I believe this is why Trump's platform on illegal immigration is resonating in the heart of so many Americans.
But, you know, we cannot be looking to a man to save us.
God anoints men and God anoints and gives them wisdom to lead a nation, okay?
But our first thing we have to do is repent.
It starts with us.
And I believe what we're seeing right now with the illegal criminals just doing whatever they want, whatever they want, and literally just being released out in the public.
I believe, once again, this is one of the many signs of God's judgment.
And you can read about it in Deuteronomy 28, almost verbatim of what we're seeing right now.
Okay, Deuteronomy 28, we've talked about it so many times.
It says in Deuteronomy 28, the very first, the 15 verses, it starts out by saying this.
Now, if you, now it will be, if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord, if you do what the Lord says, it's as simple as that.
If you do what the Lord says and carefully follow his commands, he says, then the Lord God will set you high above all the nations on the earth and you'll be secure.
You don't have to worry about your national security.
It even says, if you follow everything I do, the enemy will come at you and the enemy will flee in seven different directions.
It says, if you follow everything I do, it says, you will lend, you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow from any.
It says, the Lord will make you overflow in prosperity and the offspring of your body and the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your ground.
Okay, so God wants to bless us if we're living for him.
But whenever we leave the ways of God, we leave the protection of God.
And then it gives a list from Deuteronomy 15 all the way to Deuteronomy 28, 15 to Deuteronomy 28, 68 of judgment that comes upon the nation that previously served the Lord and leaves them.
I'm just going to read a couple of those.
But it will happen if you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God by carefully following his commandments and his statutes, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.
And one of the many is the foreigner who resides with you will get higher and higher and you will go down lower and lower.
You and your own nation will become a second-class citizen.
Yeah, and I think the point there is that we can talk about politics and we can talk about what our country should be doing better and what the next president should be doing.
And that's fine.
And a lot of these arguments, I'll get into them and we can discuss it all day long.
But it's not necessarily our border patrol that is an issue.
The issue is that we have abandoned God and his ways.
And that's why we're seeing judgment in our country.
It says here, he says, the alien living amongst you, the four living amongst you, it says, he will lay siege on you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land.
It's not referring to, like you said, these good people that are looking for a second start, that are looking to make something that are willing to work hard and take place in the American dream.
We're talking about criminals, criminals.
And God says that he's going to send criminal foreigners to your land.
And it's going to be a sign of my judgment because you used to follow me, but you have left my ways.
So now here's the thing.
What do we do?
Do we pray that our current administration is just kicked out, that all of these random politicians that don't believe like us Christians, that they need to just be replaced by Christians and that'll solve the problem?
That will solve some issues, but that's not the most important thing.
The most important thing that you and I as Christians can do is listed in 2 Chronicles 7.14.
And it says this, if my people who are called by my name, he's not talking about the world.
He's not talking about non-Christians here.
He's saying, you and I, his people that are called by his name, if you humble yourselves and pray and seek my face and you turn from your wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
I think, see, so many people are like, what can we do to fix Obama?
It's not that.
It's saying that it starts with you and it starts with me repenting of our actions, turning away, humbling ourselves, and praying, and God will restore us once again.
It's about you and I. Right.
I think government, you know, we always like to push it off on government and say that it's the leadership's fault.
You know, it's the president, it's his fault.
But I think government always is a reflection of the American people.
You know, because we do put certain people in power and we vote for people, I think in the end, that's really what it is: that whoever is in government, whoever's in charge, is really just a reflection of who we are.
And what we have been lately in the past decade, two, three decades, has not been a godly people.
And so we have to expect that the government is going to follow suit.
And what we're seeing right now is confusion.
We're seeing confusion in our people.
We're seeing confusion in government.
And I think confusion is a tool used by the enemy that God allows when he's judging a nation.
That's right.
And it is confusing.
But like I've said on previous shows, that while we pray for revival, expect revival.
But while we're praying for revival and praying for the church to turn back to God, you see that the country, the direction that the pulpits are facing, is the direction that our country goes.
Okay, you need to understand that.
But we still have got to make logical decisions.
I mean, you do have different candidates saying, hey, build a wall, which I agree with.
Even, you know, you see that.
Although the word that the cities, God's cities had walls built up around them for just natural protection.
For this protection.
You know, then you have other candidates saying, well, you know, we just shouldn't build walls.
We should build bridges.
Yeah, just a lot.
You're right, Andrew.
It's a lot of confusion.
But I believe that we haven't seen anything yet.
I believe if we do not turn back to God, what we're seeing right now with even what Congressman Jason Chapitz said is the beginning.
It's just the beginning of what we're going to see.
So let's move on to some other articles for the day.
There is another shocking story of this week that Obama is doing that is going to leave you scratching your head.
Yes, and I actually have that article, Zach.
I have here a report that states that the U.S. government is refurbishing mosques overseas for $770 million.
It says a CBS news investigation found out that the Obama State Department is sending hundreds of millions of dollars to save mosques overseas to the tune of $770 million in the news.
Yeah, I was just going to say, can you imagine that?
I mean, $1 billion.
And even talks about, I know that actually it was Glenn Beck that originally took this story, right?
Yes.
Report on this story.
Erupts in Chaos After LGBT Vote 00:06:17
And he was saying, can you imagine the outcry if our president spent nearly a billion dollars, $770 million, refurbishing Christian churches in America?
They'd be crying out, separation of church and state, separation.
Absolutely.
Well, in this whole news article, it sparked this outrage.
It says, the news has outraged that taxpayer advocates has raised enormous questions about the U.S. and potentially aiding terror groups with the U.S. dollars.
But really, think about it.
If we were pushing for saving churches in America or putting $770 million to rebuilding churches, synagogues, cultural centers in America, what would people be screaming?
They wouldn't be screaming, oh, let's do it.
Anything that has to do with the church nowadays, there's questions.
It's an outrage.
But they would be screaming out separation of church and state again and again and again.
But we can spend $770 million that the U.S. government does not have on saving mosques across the world.
Yeah, and it's not, you know, I honestly wouldn't be, you know, a fan of them refurbishing here even in America.
But just to think that that money isn't even going into our economy in America, it's going to other countries throughout the world.
It just doesn't make any sense to me.
And that, you know, just it just doesn't make any sense to me.
Also, there's a lot of news going on this week in the LGBT world.
I have an article here.
It says, Target CEO blames climate change.
Man, there's just a lot.
There's a lot of articles that are, you know, we're scratching our head over this week.
It says Target CEO blames climate change, not bathroom policy, for hurting sales.
It says, as retailer Target sees its stock plummeting and sales dropping in the midst of a boycott over its recently announced pro-transgender bathroom policy, the company's CEO is insisting the weather is the cause of falling sales, not the company's bathroom policy.
I just don't get it.
I mean, think about that.
You know, I read another report from Breitbart that in the second quarter, really right in the midst of when Target announced this, since that point, Target has lost nearly $10 billion.
And whenever you have the CEO of Target saying, no, that has absolutely nothing to do with, first of all, the 1.5 million people that have boycotted Target because they are targeting our women.
And it has nothing to do with that.
And even more so, the people that haven't signed the boycott and are a part of that as well.
It has nothing to do with that, but it simply has to do with cold weather.
Yeah.
It doesn't make any sense.
But the thing is, no matter what your stance on it is, if you're looking at it as just what the situation is, is that there is a massive boycott going on and that people are striking.
People are not going into the store.
Why would you blame it on climate change?
No matter what your stance is, no matter what.
Looking at it, how do you claim that it's climate change that's bringing this about?
It's funny because basically he's saying is that because the weather's bad, people don't want to go to the store.
It's like, no, it's not because the weather's bad.
It's because you're letting men into your women's bathrooms.
It's probably why people don't want to go to the store.
But I have some more news in the same vein.
This one is from WND.
It says, House erupts in chaos.
This is the House of Representatives.
Erupts in chaos after LGBT vote.
It says the House erupted in chaos recently with Democrats crying foul after Republicans hastily convinced a few of their own to switch their votes and narrowly block an amendment intended to protect lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from discrimination.
Wow.
It was an unruly scene on the floor with Democrats chanting shame after GOP leaders just barely muscled up the votes to reject 212 to 213, just yeah, an amendment by Representative Sean Patrick Maloney that would have effectively barred federal contractors from getting government work if they discriminate against the LGBT community.
I think what's ironic here is that they're crying shame because you don't want this amendment.
Basically, that is immoral, but that's shameful.
That's right.
And you know, that was last Thursday, and since then, even more has taken place in Congress.
Here is another article.
It says, the Georgia congressman who brought his Bible to an LGBT discussion, he was willing to take a stand.
One man, he went against the large majority.
And because of that, the vote had a different outcome because of one man willing to take a stand.
It says, in Washington, we have another sign of a split within the House Republican caucus over LGBT issues.
This one involving a Georgia congressman who brought his Bible to a policy discussion.
It says the topic was a spinning bill with protections for lesbian, gays, and transgender persons.
But Rick Allen, the congressman, launched the GOP's regular policy meeting in the Capitol basement by reading a Bible passage condemning homosexuality and that suggesting that supporters of the LGBT provision, which passed the House the night before, were defying Christian tenets, attendees said.
And I'm glad that we still have people in this country who are willing to stand up for what they know is right because it is.
It's oppressive.
The culture in this country is becoming more and more oppressive towards people who believe in Christ and who believe in the things of the word and stand on the word so that we're getting to a point where you can't likely stand on something that you believe, if you're a Christian, without repercussion, without lawful repercussion.
And I'm just glad that there's still people, even in our higher government, who don't care about that, who know what's right and they know what's wrong and they're willing to take a stand and willing even to face repercussion.
Valedictorian's Prayer Controversy 00:08:06
And like you said, it was just one man.
You know, one man stood up and made his voice known and that made a difference.
I really felt that the Lord put that boldness in him.
I mean, that's not going to be an easy thing.
Doing the right thing, doing the good thing, is most of the time very difficult.
And that's why we need to continue to pray to the Lord to give us more courage, give us more strength, embolden us, Lord God.
You know, in Psalms 138, it says, I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart.
Before the gods, I will sing your praise.
I will bow down toward your holy temple, and I will praise your name for your unfailing love and your faithfulness.
For you have so exalted your soul and decree that surpasses your fame.
And when I called, you answered me.
You greatly emboldened me.
He gave a sense of boldness.
And that's what we need to be praying for today.
You know, if you don't change your course, you're likely to end up where you're heading.
You know, and are we satisfied with where this country is heading?
You know, we have a group of people that label themselves progressives, which implies progress, which implies moving in the right direction.
And I just, I don't understand it.
You know, I've been reading Mere Christianity lately.
And this is what C.S. Lewis has to say.
He says, we all want progress, but progress means getting near to the place where you want to be.
And if you have taken a wrong turning, then to go forward does not get you any nearer.
If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about turn, turning around, and walking back to the right road.
And in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive man.
How awesome is that?
The man who turns back soon, and I believe this is turning back to the Lord.
That is who the real progressive is.
I mean, the last 50 years have changed so much, and they haven't been progressive.
They've gotten increasingly evil.
You know, I actually have an article here that talks about a great falling away where the people that were once honored in this country that were put on a pedestal for what they stood for are now being shamed.
And the people that were in our culture 50 years ago that would have been shady, doing shady things and living shady lifestyles are now on a pedestal and people are worshiping these people now.
It just doesn't make any sense.
When I have the article right here, and Charisma News reported on it, they said a great falling away is at foot and apostasy reigns supreme.
They said, if Jesus, if they hate Jesus, they'll hate you.
And they certainly hate Jesus.
I'm talking about the American left and its unyielding war on Christianity.
Just a few short decades ago, a church-going man who publicly supported the right to life, backed laws protecting marriage, and spoke freely of Christ's love for the fallen man, would universally be recognized as a fine and upstanding citizen.
He would be welcome anywhere, including the highest levels of power.
But things have changed.
In America today, the progressive left actively endeavors to destroy such a man.
But my question is, what happened to the freedom of speech?
What happened to what's right and what's wrong?
And even just the, but really what it comes down to, in my opinion, is that as we enter these times, the gray area is being abolished.
That's what Rabbi Khan.
Yes, the abolition of gray.
Absolutely.
And it's getting into these times where before you could take a stance of, well, it doesn't really affect me, so it's kind of just one of those taboo issues.
But as we are moving forward into these times, it's really pushing us forward to have opinions on issues we've never really thought about.
And it's making you either stand on one side or stand on another.
Once you're confronted with an issue, you have to make a decision.
And the American church has not been confronted with these particular issues in the last couple of decades.
But now that we are, you're right, Sasha, we have to form opinions.
And there are many Christians, you can read about it in the news, that are taking a back seat, that have just checked out, and they are just waving the flag of surrender, really.
But then there are other people that are taking a stand.
And, you know, I want to honor today the Valedictorian of a high school in Ohio.
This is another news story this week.
You know, there was a, it's in East Liverpool, Ohio.
They had spoke the Lord's Prayer at every single graduation for decades and decades.
But one student complained to an atheist organization.
One, okay?
One student.
And they took out the Lord's Prayer.
They said, well, we're not going to be able to do that at the graduation.
But the valedictorian of that school went ahead and went against it and took a stand for Christianity.
Listen to this story.
Valedictorian leads graduates in Lord's Prayer after district removes song over atheist complaint.
The valedictorian of a high school in Ohio led his class in the Lord's Prayer during their graduation ceremony this past weekend after a musical version of the prayer that has traditionally been a part of the commencement for years was removed to a single atheist complaint.
As previously reported, a parent of a student at East Liverpool High School contacted the Wisconsin-based Freedom from Religion Foundation following last year's commencement to express their objection to this song.
I just want to applaud.
I want to applaud the valedictorian of that school.
And because there's another side to that, because you also have the other side while it says, well, there was never any official vote.
This is Melissa Watson, the superintendent of that school.
It says, while there was never any official vote or public discussion about the matter until recently, it says superintendent Melissa Watson told the board in an email correspondence that the prayer would just have to go.
Despite the personal feelings of district officials, despite the feelings of district officials, we're sorry, says the superintendent, but the prayer's got to go.
And this is a quote from her.
I am a Christian, and it hurts me that there is even a question about that.
But as superintendent, I have to put that aside.
As you said, we can't make it legal.
I'm just sorry this is happening, she wrote.
So you clearly have a great divide, even at that school, of Christians that are willing to take a stand, that are deciding, you know what?
Me and my household, we are going to serve the Lord.
And then you have other Christians that are once again confronted with these new issues where they're forced to make a decision.
And many Christians are also taking a backseat, waving the white flag of surrender.
Who are you going to serve?
We're going to serve the Lord.
Right.
Absolutely.
I think Christians, either they don't understand the power that they have in Christ, or they become so secularized that they don't even care.
They don't care that the Lord's Prayer is not in a school play.
They don't care that the country's going the way that it is.
That's right.
Well, in these times, I would just encourage everyone: make sure that you pray for boldness.
Make sure that you pray for strength from the Lord, that no matter what situation you face, that you can speak clearly and you can speak with boldness and certainty on the word of God.
Lots of Revelation 00:00:23
And I just encourage you to make sure that you get your heart right with God and get back into the word and make sure you know what he says for yourself.
Psalms 138:3.
When I called, called the Lord, when I called, you answered me.
You greatly emboldened me.
That should be our prayer.
Lots of revelation in the news this week.
This has been our show, Revelation in the News.
