| Matthew 24, John, is so important. | |
| You say, why do you spend time with it? | |
| Because it's the now verse, the now chapters. | |
| Yes, it is. | |
| We're living in the end times. | |
| And the disciples said to Jesus, what would be the sign of your coming, the end of the world? | |
| And he gives the list. | |
| And he says, he said, when the gospel of the kingdom, that's the gospel of Jesus Christ, the kingdom of God. | |
| He said, when it's preached in all the world to a witness to all nations, then shall the end come. | |
| That's where we are right now. | |
| And you know what? | |
| When I was a young man, I helped Pat Roberts and I was in my 20s. | |
| And we started the 700 Club. | |
| First Christian TV station in the world. | |
| There is only, in most towns, one to three television stations and nothing else. | |
| Today you can get direct TV and have 500 channels in your house. | |
| Do you know when I started with Christian television? | |
| The Methodists, the Baptists, the Pentecostals, the Lutherans, the Catholic never sat down together. | |
| See, I'm not smart enough to know that you're supposed to be divided. | |
| I've read the book. | |
| And you're not to be divided. | |
| You're to be together. | |
| Yes, we are. | |
| You're to love one another. | |
| Yeah. | |
| Amen. | |
| And so I began to invite Mother Angelica's. | |
| You remember, do you know Mother Angelica? | |
| Yeah. | |
| She built the Eternal Word Network. | |
| She came on my show many, many times. | |
| And one day she saw our bigger dish. | |
| We built one of the first four satellite networks in the world. | |
| There wasn't even a satellite network before then. | |
| She said, I want one of them. | |
| And they built a network. | |
| I had Lutherans on. | |
| They were getting filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues. | |
| And Pentecostals thought they had a franchise, some of them, and they didn't think, you know, what in the world is the Lutherans doing? | |
| Not getting this special thing that only the Pentecostals were supposed to have. | |
| But God's people began to get together. | |
| People began to pray for the sick because we were the first ones in history ever to pray for the sick over television. | |
| And people began to realize that he's the healer. | |
| Yes. | |
| And so people began to come together to love one another. | |
| And then the gospel went out and it's going out around the world. | |
| Now there's Christian television in every country in the world. | |
| There's Christian radio all out. | |
| When I was a kid, Jesus could not have come back. | |
| That's what gets me so upset with some people, the way they preach, because they've rewritten the Bible. | |
| You can't be contrary to what Jesus said. | |
| Do you hear me at all? | |
| Yes, wordless. | |
| So when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place, you know, this is the Antichrist sitting in the temple. | |

He's Coming Unawares

| There he is. | |
| Jesus hasn't come back yet. | |
| The disciples said, when are you coming back, Jesus? | |
| What will be the sign? | |
| So here it is. | |
| It's all right here. | |
| Okay? | |
| Then he said, for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor not ever shall be. | |
| So there's tribulation coming. | |
| And then we go on. | |
| He says, if the days aren't shortened, he said, there shall be no flesh even saved. | |
| It's going to get that bad. | |
| But then he says in verse 29, I'm taking John's time. | |
| I got to get back. | |
| Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken. | |
| And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. | |
| And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. | |
| They ask him, when are you coming back? | |
| He's telling that when he's going to come back. | |
| Therefore, be ready. | |
| Be ready, for he's coming in such an hour as you think not. | |
| And I'll tell you what, most people just kind of cut it off. | |
| For the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, in an hour that he's not aware of. | |
| Should be weeping, gnashing of you. | |
| America's not looking for Jesus. | |
| Many American churches are looking for Jesus. | |
| There is the falling away. | |
| All these things are happening. | |
| And so what are we to do? | |
| We're supposed to be looking. | |
| But the Bible says he's going to come when you're not looking. | |
| And what did he say, John? | |
| We're to be preparing. | |
| Because we don't know what day and hour, we are to be ready. | |
