Why We Need Bible Literacy 00:02:28
Most people aren't reading the Bible anymore.
They go to happy church.
I watched a little television, a little Christian television now and then.
Do you know some of the major preachers?
They're praying, they don't even pray one and complete sentence.
They say, Jesus, come into my heart, Amen.
Well, if you prayed that prayer, write me right now and let me know because you're saved.
No, you're not.
Well, maybe you took the first step, you know, but you have to go on with taking up your cross.
You need to start reading the Bible, people.
That's the reason we have hell in a lot of churches because we've got a lot of unsaved people acting like the devil because they belong to the devil.
What does the Bible say?
My Bible says, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
And it says something to the effect, but if we barely make it, then you know what I mean?
It's like, what is it going to be for the world?
We're preparing a program and a lot of programs on the keys of salvation.
You have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
You don't just say, come into my heart, blah, That's it.
You're saved.
You have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
That he died on the cross.
He rose from the grave.
You have to confess your sins.
Oh, there's so much.
You need to love your neighbor.
You have to forgive everybody else.
Oh, my God.
You mean not just me?
There's a lot more to being saved than just blah, blah, blah.
You have to understand what it means.
You can't judge each other.
If you don't forgive, you will not be forgiven.
Forgive me.
I've got 90 days.
According to my prophet friend, John Kilpatrick, I got 90 days to be on point.
I want everybody to be saved.
But the problem is we're not reading the Bible.
That's why we're not prepared.
You don't know what's coming.
We haven't read the Revelation at all.
