God's Warning Before Judgment
00:03:51
|
|
| I believe God always warns before he judges. | |
| And the point of this is that this was to get out before what is coming, before what is coming. | |
| God's people can prepare, and those who are not God's people can look afterwards and say, God is calling us. | |
| We need to get back to God. | |
| We need to get to God. | |
| Yes. | |
| That's it. | |
| It is the harvest time. | |
| God's heart is revival. | |
| And sometimes people ask me, is it going to be judgment or revival? | |
| And I say it can be both. | |
| There can be revival through judgment. | |
| In fact, America, I believe, has grown so deaf to the voice of God that it's going to take God shouting and shaking for America or for those who will to come back. | |
| That's the point. | |
| God's heart is redemption. | |
| No, we get this right. | |
| The harbinger. | |
| The bricks fell. | |
| Right? | |
| That was God's warning. | |
| The Jewish people said, no, we're not going to repent. | |
| We're just going to get bigger and better. | |
| Is that right? | |
| Yes. | |
| Defiance. | |
| So they rebuilt. | |
| Yes. | |
| And didn't do what God said. | |
| Is that right? | |
| That's right. | |
| Defiance instead of repentance. | |
| And that's exactly what happened after 9-11. | |
| So what did they do next? | |
| They built. | |
| And then what did God do? | |
| Because they ignored the warning. | |
| What happens in the Bible? | |
| You don't have to say it's going to happen to America, but what happened the other time people disobeyed? | |
| What happened is God gave a grace period, a period of grace, to come back or not. | |
| And then when that period was over, this is a pattern more than once in the Bible. | |
| Many times. | |
| Happened with Judah too. | |
| First came this attack by Nebuchadnezzar, then years later comes the full thing. | |
| Well, with this, what happened is a number of years later, God then says, okay, now I'm withdrawing my protection entirely. | |
| And then the same ones who brought the first shaking come back, but now it's not just a temporary wake-up call. | |
| Now it's the full thing. | |
| And so they come back, the Assyrians, come back, and now the kingdom of Israel, northern kingdom, is wiped off the face of the earth. | |
| God warned them, called to them, pleaded with them, shook them, did everything he could do. | |
| The Bible says it. | |
| And they turned from him. | |
| They rejected all of it. | |
| They rejected his prophets. | |
| They rejected the warning. | |
| And then finally it came. | |
| He lifted his hands. | |
| Now, here's the warning. | |
| There's some of you sitting right here, the church you go to has been teaching you over and over and over that God never sends judgment. | |
| That God doesn't do these things. | |
| How many have heard most preachers? | |
| They say, oh, God doesn't do that. | |
| God never causes anything bad to happen. | |
| Rabbi, I'm sorry, but we've got bad doctrine, false doctrine going around. | |
| When you say God wouldn't do this, you haven't read this book. | |
| The Old Testament, especially, that's all God was doing. | |
| It was dealing with his people he loves, and they were backsliding and coming back, and backsliding and coming back. | |
| And he used who to come against them. | |
| What did he do? | |
| God didn't come down and say, bam. | |
| What did he do? | |
| He had been protecting them all that time. | |
| That's right. | |
| And so he finally said, okay, now I have to lift this. | |
| I cannot bless you as you defy me. | |
| And so finally he lifted it and the enemies came in. | |
| And God even used that for redemption at the end. | |
|
Honoring The Ten Commandments
00:00:57
|
|
| But he allowed, finally, he allowed what would have happened anyway if he was not putting a supernatural protection. | |
| And that's what God, I believe, has done to America. | |
| We've been the most protected nation on earth. | |
| We've been blessed. | |
| We've been spoiled, rotten children of God almost because God's blessed us. | |
| We've sent out missionaries. | |
| We've done the things, but we're not doing what we did before. | |
| We honored God. | |
| We honored the cross. | |
| We honored the Ten Commandments even in our courts. | |
| When you take the Ten Commandments out of law, you don't have any foundation. | |
| Why be good? | |
| If there's not a supreme being telling us right from wrong, laws man makes up. | |
| What good are they? | |
| That's why we're in a mess. | |
| We're trying to redefine every law that God wrote. | |
| And so we have mocked God. | |
