Persecution Is Coming

| I believe that if we are not in the time of sorrows that the first eight verses of Matthew 24 talks about, then we are entering into them at this moment. | |
| You see, I want to read a couple of scripture verses and you tell me if you think this is where we are right now. | |
| And it says this in Matthew 24, verse 3. | |
| Now as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately saying, Tell us, when will these things be? | |
| When will the end of the age be? | |
| And what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age? | |
| And Jesus answered and said to them, take heed that no one deceives you. | |
| That's the first thing. | |
| For many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ and will deceive many. | |
| And Pastor, you've taught us that that doesn't mean that people are going to be coming and saying, hey, listen, I'm Jesus. | |
| I'm the Messiah. | |
| And then they're going to be deceiving people. | |
| That actually means that they're going to be saying Jesus is the Messiah. | |
| They're going to be saying that Jesus is he. | |
| And then they're going to deceive you. | |
| And then it goes on by saying, it says, and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. | |
| See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass. | |
| But the end is not yet. | |
| And then here it is. | |
| For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. | |
| Now, that word there, nation, it's ethnos, ethnos against ethnos, which means ethnic group against ethnic group. | |
| That's what we're seeing right now in America. | |
| And you see, it can't be, you know, it can't be red versus yellow versus white versus black. | |
| It's literally, we've got to unite as Christians. | |
| And then it goes on by saying this. | |
| It says, see that you're not troubled, for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. | |
| For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. | |
| And there will be famines. | |
| There will be pestilences. | |
| And there'll be earthquakes in various places. | |
| But all these are the beginning of sorrows. | |
| These are simply just the birth pains, the contractions of the even larger things that are coming. | |
| But he's saying, listen, when you see these things on the horizon, be prepared. | |
| Understand that it's the same way of a woman feeling contractions and knowing that she's getting ready to give birth. | |
| That is what we're experiencing right now, not only in America, but in the entire world. | |
| You know, the headlines today, many of our great men of God have made statements the last few days. | |

| What God said would be in the last days is now. | |
| And you keep saying it, oh, it's just going to get better and better. | |
| It's just going to make, we're going to get happier and happier and get more money and everything's going to be great. | |
| And yet that's not what the leaders are saying. | |
| And it's not what God's word is saying. | |
| We must realize that we are in the final days. | |
