| Hey everybody and welcome to the backstage show with Ricky and Marie. | |
| I'm Ricky. | |
| And I'm Marie. | |
| We are so excited that you have tuned in with us today. | |
| We have an incredible guest. | |
| I know Ricky and I have been looking forward to him. | |
| Yeah, he is, you might know him as a prophet. | |
| You might know him from the book Unmasking the Jezebel Spirit and many more. | |
| Today we have with us John Paul Jackson. | |
| Hey, yeah, you guys are. | |
| It's so good to have you with us today. | |
| Thank you. | |
| It's great to be with you guys. | |
| John Paul, what would be your main advice you would give to young people and teenagers wanting to get into the ministry? | |
| I would suggest, first of all, develop a life in God so that you have regular prayer time. | |
| Number two, I would say develop a life in the Word of God so that you know what you're going to be talking about when you speak. | |
| Read and study. | |
| Right, exactly. | |
| I would also suggest that you listen to those who have been practiced or are mature in delivering the word of God, delivering a message. | |
| Find out how they do it. | |
| How do they construct their messages? | |
| Because you want to be able to communicate in a way that people understand you. | |
| And if you're random and you're all over the place, you really want a logical flow of thoughts so that people can track what you're doing. | |
| So that's on the practical side. | |
| And number four, I would say always seek for righteousness. | |
| And here's why. | |
| When you live a righteous life, God is able to back you up whenever the enemy comes against you. | |
| And he will. | |
| Everybody who goes into ministry will face spiritual attack. | |
| You always want to be in a place where you're righteous before God so he is justified in acting on your behalf. | |
| Wow. | |
| So pretty much whenever you're going through something, whenever you get into the ministry, you know it's that it's the devil trying to attack you to get you away from it. | |
| It's not God. | |
| Oh yeah. | |
| And you're going to go through that on multiple levels and many times. | |
| And it's not just once or twice. | |
| It's going to be all the rest of your life. | |
| Wow. | |
| Because the enemy, if he dared come against Jesus, he won't shrink back from coming against you. | |
| Yes. | |
| And John Paul is going to be on the Jim Baker show all this week. | |
