We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in.
Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want.
We think too much and feel too little.
More than machinery, we need humanity.
We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat.
As if that's the way it's supposed to be.
We know things are bad, worse than bad.
They're crazy.
You've got to say, I'm a human being.
God damn it.
My life has value.
You have meddled with the primal forces of nature.
Don't give yourselves to brutes.
Men who despise you, enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think, or what to feel, who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder.
Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men!
Machine men with machine minds and machine hearts.
You're beautiful.
I love you.
Yes.
It's Time To Buckle Up00:13:03
It's showtime.
It's time to buckle up for making sense of the madness.
And who loves you and who do you love?
Hey, everybody, Jason Burmes here.
And, you know, I really dislike continually having to report on the atrocities of war.
And one of the reasons that we're going to focus in today on what is going on with Israel, Palestine, Gaza in particular,
and now this latest story of an Al Jazeera journalist intentionally being targeted as a supposed member of Hamas and a unit of five journalists, that's what's being reported, killed by the IDF is insanity.
And it just kind of shows you outwardly where we are, but it should be no surprise because the vast majority of us have been extremely indifferent on this.
And one of the things I try not to do on this show is focus on one specific group.
There will be pockets where I cover Bilderberg.
There will be pockets where I cover the Council on Foreign Relations.
There will be pockets where it's continuity of government and the DOD.
There will be pockets when we talk about Israeli policy.
There are now pockets when we talk about Ukraine, Russia, NATO.
And I am of the strict belief that there are vying power structures throughout the world, unfortunately, that act like a global mafia.
In the sense that, yes, they're at the table, they're playing cards, they're trying to win against one another, but there are certain limitations in the fact that they will not expose the card game.
And October 7th, the anniversary is coming up, but when this happened, and so many people were kind of naive to the idea that this was going to be short.
It was going to be quick.
It was going to be hard.
It was going to be painful.
It was going to be maybe more of what we'd seen in the past, which wasn't great, but it would have an ending.
The ending I see here, unfortunately, doesn't have an ending.
What do I mean by that?
If the Western world, in particular, the United States and this Trump administration right now, because it's really the only power structure that can even keep this in check on any level, and it's not doing that, okay?
And really, when we talk about these operations, when I talk about the Israeli military, if I'm not talking about the U.S. military in the same breath, I don't know what to tell you because it's the same thing.
All right?
We're not only allied with one another, but as I've stated time and time again, and it was marginally reported, really had to search for it.
U.S. special forces were on the ground on October 7th, and immediately more U.S. special forces were sent.
We know a bunch of the aid was U.S. military in disguise.
Okay, and we are continually supporting them militarily with our weapon systems.
Israel's weapon systems and intelligence is the same thing as the U.S. intelligence and weapon systems.
Okay?
And when I say this doesn't have an ending, that's because if you don't stop it, Israel has been extremely outward about their idea of expansion with the greater Israel.
They are not shy about talking about Iran, are they?
And they certainly were able to get Trump to quote-unquote bomb the nuclear facilities, but you already heard the rhetoric almost immediately after.
We didn't get them all.
We couldn't get them all.
Okay?
So when I say this doesn't have an ending, that's not a good thing.
Okay?
It's not a good thing because they also want parts of Syria.
We've seen Lebanon.
And once again, I'm not excusing U.S. policy.
What would you call what we've done in Afghanistan, Iraq, parts of Africa, what's going on in Yemen?
It's no bueno.
And I have been completely out there talking about these things because if we don't talk about them, if you don't think that same technology can't be utilized here in the Western world, it already is on a micro level.
All right?
For instance, if you look at the weaponization of drone technology, okay?
Where was drone and biometric technology, and really new wave Boston dynamics, DARPA-style robots pioneered the war on terror?
That's where it is.
And, you know, just last week, when we did that show talking about the moon and nuclear bases, that was a press conference telling you the drone technology is coming here to the United States, and it's going to be massively deregulated.
Massively deregulated.
And remember, prior to this new Trump administration, during that Biden administration, where people were like lunaticking out over all these drone sightings, well, they're Chinese submarine super spy drones, you know, on the wave of that hysteria of Chinese spy balloons.
None of that was real.
None of that was real.
The Chinese spy balloon is simply a satellite network known to the U.S., run by the U.S. and its allies out in the Arctic rim that are on balloons that are not in low Earth orbit, that go up all the time.
But the public's not really privy to that.
Seymour Hirsch actually talked about that.
Okay?
So you have that.
And then you have this, oh, the aliens and the UFOs and the Chinese.
No, your government was preparing and is still preparing to deploy this technology here in the United States.
Now, is it going to be utilized the same way?
Maybe not at first.
Maybe not at first.
Hopefully not ever.
But that's the point of this broadcast.
I mean, you're targeting journalists.
It's not debanking them.
It's not deplatforming them.
And there'll be a certain crowd out there still brainwashed from that war on terror.
Oh, Al Jazeera, that's Al-Qaeda.
You mean Al-Cieda?
Huh?
That's what Al Jaira Jazeera is.
And listen, I'm not saying Al Jazeera gets it right all the time.
And we're actually going to play a CBS news piece.
We're not saying CBS News gets it right all the time.
But you can't allow the normalization of journalists being targeted, especially in war zones.
Because you already got the fear of God into the vast majority of these journalists that are on the ground in a war zone, wearing press.
I mean, can you imagine somewhere I don't want to be, folks?
Be real honest.
Never want to be reporting in a big cap and a jacket with bullets flying around me.
Not my cup of tea.
But I'm glad people are there.
I am.
Because you're going to get propaganda from all sides, including the media.
But you better allow people to get in there.
And they should have a certain amount of protection.
But everything seems to be fair game in this region.
And this ground invasion that supposedly doesn't have a date is extremely frightening.
And Netanyahu's out there in press conferences saying, oh, no, we're going to let independent journalists in.
Really?
Really?
I don't even know what independent journalism is right now, especially on that level.
I mean, that's having skin in the game right now, reporting in that place.
It looks like every single dystopic, nightmarish war zone you've seen in movies.
And it frankly looks much worse than what we've even seen in wars past.
The further you zoom out and see the devastation there, my God.
And look, that's why I do feel extremely blessed.
As many problems as we have here in the United States compared to what's going on there, thank goodness I'm fighting the good fight here.
All right?
And just kind of one other note.
You know, I just watched Trump's press conference on the National Guard and them being utilized in D.C. to clean up D.C. Quite frankly, I'm not sure I know how to feel about that.
I feel like the less the military is involved, the better, especially in those areas.
I think that, you know, we have a police force for a reason and they just have to do their jobs.
But I've also, you know, I've been around the National Guard on the ground in cities, especially New York City in particular, post-9-11 forever.
And the military is still down on the subways.
I mean, it's not a huge presence, but it's there.
But it's there.
Okay.
The reason I bring that up is because during the press conference, which was extremely large, I mean, people were talking about Zelensky, Putin, just about everything else, but I didn't hear a word, a word about Israel, Palestine, and especially these journalists being killed.
That's no bueno.
So, thumbs it up, subscribe, share, ring that notification bell.
If you're watching live, thank you so much for being in the live chat.
But give a comment down below.
And remember, folks, I really can't do it without you.
This is it.
We're going to find out if we're going to be able to continue this with viewer support.
If not, who knows where I goes?
Who knows what the continuity or the quantity of videos I'll actually be able to do is.
But $5, $10, $15, it means the world to me.
Big donors.
Thank you so much.
Dina Ray, thank you so much.
If you're not comfortable with buying me a coffee, there are other links down below.
Also, consider giving me a follow on X. That's where you'll see a lot of these stories in the raw format.
Okay.
And we don't cover everything that I get over here.
Plus, you will also have access to the live streams as well.
All right, let's get into it.
And then we're going to watch this CBS news piece.
Uncovering Gaza Access00:08:36
UN condemns targeted Israeli attack that killed five Al Jazeera journalists.
Now, I'm not even trying to support the United Nations here.
I want to make that extremely clear.
The UN Human Rights Office has condemned a targeted Israeli attack that killed six journalists in Gaza, calling it a grave breach of international humanitarian law.
Five Al Jazeera journalists, including prominent correspondent Anes Al-Sharif, were killed in Israeli airstrike on Sunday night alongside a sixth freelance journalist.
The Israeli military said it had targeted Sharif, alleging that he had served as the head of a terrorist cell in Hamas.
So now, I mean, again, here's the narrative.
Somebody who seems to be a popular and possibly successful journalist, Hamas.
Again, it's not like we haven't done that in the United States to the point where they've overused purposely this term domestic terrorist, right?
Okay, so I'm sorry, but like, it's the same as when the United States overseas just wanted to target anybody and everybody they could in a quote-unquote war zone.
And they said that military combatants were any males that were 16 years of age or older.
In fact, you know what?
Let's do it live.
Let's hit the button and let's do it live.
We'll do it live.
Okay.
We'll do it live.
Fuck it.
Do it live.
I'll write it and we'll do it live.
Okay, let's see what we got.
In the context, yes, military age mail generally refers to individuals age 16 and above, regardless of whether they are actually.
See, you know what?
You're just garbage is what you are, Google.
I mean, I mean, this is Google.
Let's see if we get a better one on DuckDuckGo.
Okay, because they didn't actually declare this.
Right now, if I'm looking at this, and this just shows you this narrative management, we'll go back to like 2001.
This is not what I want at all.
Should we go to Grok first?
Maybe we'll go to Grok.
Let's X-Grok.
Let's see if Grok got it.
And we'll just say: did the U.S. classify all 16-year-old males and above military combatants in the war on terror?
Let's see.
Let's see if we can get a real answer here.
Grok three.
We're Groking.
Oh!
Oh, they didn't.
There are significant concerns and reports regarding the use of military age mail.
I don't believe that at all.
I do not believe that at all.
See, this is my point.
Man, this is such.
I mean, evidence and limitations.
Man, I might have to do, and it's still given me.
If you need details or specific examples, let me know.
So, what's the conclusion say here?
They didn't have a policy that explicitly classified all males age 16 and above as military combatants in the war on terror.
However, the use of the term military age male category in drone strikes and counterinsurgency operations.
So they did.
I mean, and I think they use the term military combatants.
I really, I really do.
You know, I'm going to go to DuckDuckGo.
I'm going to see if I can find the raw articles on that.
And then we're going to get to that news article as well.
We didn't do it.
Sorry about that, guys.
We're DuckDuck going.
Here we go.
Not that DuckDuckGo is great.
It's not.
Let's see.
The next recruits.
The ghost of GW, Global War on Terrorism.
That's West Point.
Man.
The War of My Generation.
Project Muse.
It looks like enemy combatant.
Oh, maybe that's, maybe that was the term.
Enemy, enemy combatant.
Huh.
There we go.
That, that could be it.
And then they've got a loophole.
All right.
Let's thumbs it up.
Let's get to this right here.
Let's get to this CBS piece.
We turn our attention now to the war in Gaza, where an Israeli strike on Gaza City overnight has killed Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif, along with a number of other journalists.
The IDF confirmed it killed al-Sharif, alleging he was the head of a Hamas terror cell.
Now, that claim has been rejected by Al Jazeera, and before his death, al-Sharif also denied claims he was connected to the militant group.
This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces mounting international pressure over the situation in the enclave, with Australia becoming the latest nation to announce it will recognize a Palestinian state.
Yesterday, Netanyahu held a press conference with foreign media to defend his government's planned military offensive into Gaza City, and our Debra Pata was there.
Firstly, why is Israel not allowing foreign journalists into Gaza to report independently?
I've ordered and directed the military to bring in foreign journalists, more foreign journals, a lot.
CBS News senior foreign correspondent Deborah Pater joins us now from Jerusalem with more on that exchange.
Good morning, Deborah.
You know, as you've reported extensively, residents have suffered immensely in Gaza, but how dangerous is it for journalists at large?
Tell us more about your questioning of the Prime Minister and this claim from the IDF, the journalist who was killed, was connected to Hamas.
Well, Errol, it's unclear exactly what the Prime Minister meant in his comments.
Let me be clear: the foreign press is not asking for military embeds under IDF control, but for independent, on-the-ground, unfettered access to report on Gaza, as we have done in war zones around the world.
Until now, the burden of that reporting has fallen on Palestinian journalists inside Gaza, and over 200 have already been killed.
And just hours after that media briefing with Prime Minister Netanyahu, we heard the news that Al Jazeera crew, including correspondent Anas al-Sharif, had been killed in a targeted Israeli strike.
Now, the IDF claims he was ahead of a Hamas cell, but just over two weeks ago, the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists said they were gravely worried for his safety.
They believe Sharif was the target of an Israeli military smear campaign based on unsubstantiated allegations.
And he had told the CPJ he feared he was being set up for assassination.
Errol.
And Deborah, what about this Israeli offensive?
Do we have any sense of when it might begin?
No firm date has been given, Errol.
There are hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living in the areas the IDF intends to push into in Gaza City and al-Mawasi.
They now face forced evacuation, and that could take weeks.
But we spoke to a veteran hostage negotiator, Gershom Baskin, who told us that he believes there is still a two-week window in which to negotiate a ceasefire in Gaza.
He said Netanyahu's new war plan is a death sentence for Israeli hostages and for exhausted IDF troops and for Palestinians in Gaza.
He believes the only person who can stop this is President Trump.
And this ends, he said, when there is a call from the White House to Netanyahu saying, I've been telling you this for months.
You need to end the war, end the war right now.
Errol.
End the war right now.
I don't even know if Trump's going to be able to do it.
Let's be real.
I want the belief.
I don't think he likes it.
He seems pissed when he's talking about it.
But this is it.
They're going in.
200 journalists plus.
200 journalists plus.
End The War Now00:01:29
Less than two years.
Okay.
I mean, and they're just boning up and saying, yeah, no, we targeted this guy.
If that's not dangerous, I don't know what is.
Okay?
Just, and I'm not an ideological guy.
I'm not taking, you know, one person's or one group's religious or political beliefs.
I want the death to stop.
I don't want us involved.
I don't want to spark a larger global conflict with God knows what.
Man, dead kids in my feed is not a fun thing.
Folks, that's going to about wrap this one up.
I do want to say thank you to those that have donated both anonymously and otherwise, big and small.
Please consider the buy me a coffee.
Also, didn't even get 50 thumbs up while we were live.
Let's get those thumbs up, those comments down below.
