Woman Moves to Mexico to Escape Trump… Huge Mistake

A woman and her husband relocated to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, seeking affordable healthcare and safety from a Trump presidency, only for their four-year-old son to contract a severe bacterial infection involving blood vomiting and diarrhea. Despite selling their home and jobs to return to the US, she defends the move as escaping racism, while critics condemn it as a "stupid mistake" caused by drinking contaminated tap water filled with salmonella. The episode highlights conflicting narratives on whether this represents a calculated escape or a tragic miscalculation regarding Mexico's infrastructure, ultimately questioning the wisdom of fleeing political unrest for perceived instability. Why Moving to Mexico Was Stupid 00:06:51
So this black woman moves to Mexico to get away from the Trump administration.
Man, that's stupid.
Doesn't end well for her.
She damn near got her kid killed.
Watch this.
What do I do when a lot of my family and friends are trying to convince me to not move to Mexico?
Mainly my husband's family.
Like we can sit and list the long ass list of pros with like very little cons, but the cons are just thrown.
And that's like the only thing they see.
How we're going to get a job.
How we're gonna make money.
And the thing is, my husband's family is Mexican.
They've lived in Mexico, but the area that they lived in is nothing like the area we're moving to.
Like it's not even comparable.
Okay, so a black woman's not listening to a Mexican husband about about Mexico sounds about right.
Like it's not even comparable.
Like how is it that Mexicans have fallen for American propaganda?
What Mexico?
Because where we're moving is amazing.
It's thriving.
We're moving to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
It's like 30 minutes from Cancun.
They're acting like where we're moving isn't safe or livable.
We want our kids to be a majority, not a minority.
I want to be a majority and not a minority.
Real food.
Affordable health care.
Tropical beaches.
Jungle.
Not having to fear for our safety due to racism.
Diversity.
Trump not being our president.
It's affordable and we can live comfortably.
Like, what about that isn't worth it?
Like, I'm confused.
Got a passport, Tan.
Going to Mexico.
We were finally able to escape the United States and we're having to move back already.
Escape?
Not even two months after.
The reason being that our four year old son got extremely sick the first week that we were here.
He had a terrible fever, was throwing up blood, terrible diarrhea.
His whole body was in terrible pain.
He was screaming in pain and agony for days.
Yeah, Mexico, you can't drink the water.
That's how fed up that country is.
You know what?
I'd rather be the minority in this racist country called the United States of America.
Than be a majority in Mexico.
I'd rather live in America walking down the street where white people say, F here.
Get out of my neighborhood.
I'd rather live here than go live in Mexico where if I drink the water out of the sink, it'll kill me.
Yeah, exploding diarrhea.
You screaming, Oh my God, it's coming out of me.
Yeah, exploding bloody diarrhea.
That's nuts.
Hey, exploding bloody diarrhea?
Yeah, hey, according to Democrats, this is the most educated demographic in the country.
Nope.
Terrible diarrhea.
His whole body was in terrible pain.
He was screaming in pain and agony for days.
Even after we took him to the doctor and they gave him different medication, he ended up having a bacterial infection in his stomach and his body.
And since then, he has recovered, but he's still having really bad, lingering problems.
And we're starting to think that he has an autoimmune disorder.
So with that, we're having to go to the States to get him the proper care.
We've had to spend hundreds, thousands of dollars out of pocket that we were not planning on.
So now we're going back to the United States to get our son the care that he needs.
And you're so tone deaf.
Why would you record this and upload it for the whole world to see?
You're that stupid.
Nah, nah, Keith.
She's a strong black woman.
She's admitting she's wrong.
And she went up, helped prevent other people from making this horrible mistake of getting exploding, bloody diarrhea.
She should have gone to Puerto Rico.
I think she's looking suspicious.
I think she's looking for sympathy and money.
She's probably trying to go from here or something.
No, I think you've been a little hard on her because you're racist.
Yeah, that's a good point.
That we were not planning on.
So now we're going back to the United States to get our son the care that he needs.
And we're having to let go of this dream of living here in Mexico.
Are we going to get a bunch of I told you so's?
Probably.
But there was no way that we could prevent our son getting this sick.
We were not expecting these hospital bills, medication.
I feel really fucking sad because we got rid of everything in the United States.
We got rid of our home, our car, our jobs.
And we left so much just to have to go home and restart with nothing.
Pray for us.
Send us good vibes, please.
That kid needs new parents, is what he needs.
No, man.
Give them up.
Do the right thing.
If they made a simple mistake, a simple mistake, that wasn't a simple mistake.
That was a calculated, stupid mistake.
How can you go to Mexico and start drinking that?
That water filled with salmonella and feces.
They might as well just call that water acid rain.
Everybody knows that.
Don't drink the water, drink bottled water.
They probably pulled a kid a glass of water out of the spigot, out of the sink.
Mama, daddy, I'm thirsty.
Oh, man.
Let's get somebody's sink.
Here, drink it, boy.
So stupid.
Well, I thought everybody knew that.
You can't do that when you go to Thailand either.
Well, I hope our kids explode and bloody diarrhea is gone.
I'm sure it'll be okay.
He's got an autoimmune deficiency.
No, that's called a Mexico disorder.
Everybody gets it when you go there.
She's trying to blame it on autoimmune disorder.
No, that's.
I got an autoimmune disorder.
I get like breakout and rashes and what's it called?
Dermatitis?
So that water probably killed me.
Man, well, she had good intentions, Keith.
Well, Kevin, Mexico is pretty much a third world country.
Not all of it.
Some of it's very nice.
Cancun, where she went?
For the most part, it's a third world country.
You got a bunch of brown people walking thousands of miles to get here, and you think it's a great idea to leave the United States of America?
You got the brown people that live there that rather come in this racist country, they walk thousands of miles to get here.
You think that's the place to run to?
No, those are a bunch of deadbeats.
A majority of them are.
Some of them are good people.
I didn't make that same mistake Trump did.
Some of them are good people, but a lot of them are deadbeats, parasites.
Yeah.
Looking for a handout.
Like Mexico, you know, my wife's, your wife's from there.
Yeah.
That's good places.
I mean, if we want to start fresh, we could move to Mexico.
