I just had the honor of attending the Senate hearings on the Senate floor in the Capitol building here behind me.
After waiting about an hour and a half with the public, after going through about five body scanners, they took our phones.
They gave us a speech.
You have to be quiet.
You can't show any agreement or disagreement visually or orally.
We were then led in on the floor.
And they were shifting people because there was a long line.
There's a lot of people trying to get in there.
And so we were lucky enough to basically catch the very end, the very closing remarks, which I was expecting a total boring show.
I was expecting more of the Kabuki trial and more of Trump's defense stating the obvious, but I thought it was a pretty good show.
I thought it was a good time to be there.
Dershowitz yesterday on the floor said nothing in the Bolton revelations, even if true, would rise to the level of an abuse of power or an impeachable offense.
And this goes for the whole thing.
There is no impeachable offense.
It's a desperate attempt for the deep state to get rid of Donald Trump, and they're counting on the sleeping masses of America to fall for it because they have the media in their pocket, and the media is pretending like this is all legit, and it's not.
But the same is going on on the Senate floor.
There are enemies of our country on the Senate floor.
The closing statements today was Chuck Schumer was basically alluding to Bolton's book, warning the Senate that they might come across some evidence in the future that makes them regret not calling any witnesses in this trial.
Obviously, he's talking about Bolton's book.
We already know it's a bunch of nonsense.
We had Trump's defense play several videos of Democrats in the past talking about the dangers of a partisan impeachment and how it could destroy the country and how it will stain the country's reputation forever.
That was very powerful.
Those videos included one of Nadler and one of Schumer.
And there was a sense that the room was full of enemies and allies.
I mean, Elizabeth Warren was there.
Elizabeth Warren threatened to be the last American president if elected.
She said she'll get rid of the Electoral College.
She said she'll be the last American president elected via the Electoral College.
She'll get rid of it.
We have Bernie Sanders just an aisle away from her.
Four of his campaign managers have been found advocating for a violent communist revolution.
And so it was very interesting when the defense, in their closing statement, they quoted Ben Franklin and said, you have a republic if you can keep it.
And then he rephrased it and said, you have a republic if they let you keep it.
So are they going to let us keep it?
Are we going to let them take it away from us?
