Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
The one and only Chris DeGal.
I can.
I can do an amazing Dr. Sebastian Gorka impression, alright?
Are you ready?
Here we go.
Three, two...
This is Sebastian Gorka, and you're listening to America First.
So how was that?
I've been practicing that at AmFest here in Phoenix for days.
No, ladies and gentlemen, this is one of the weirder experiences in my life.
I'm filling in for the guy who should be hosting the show, who's here as my guest on his show.
Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, my man!
Is this like an episode of the Twilight Zone?
It's a little freaky.
It's really weird.
First of all, your towering stature in that red MAGA hat walking the floor of Turning Point after you came out from speaking.
Brother, they love ya.
Do you feel the love?
I don't know what it is, whether it's being exactly 30 days from going back into government or something else.
My escort, Christian, can tell you from Turning Point, a great guy, it is nuts.
I mean, I try to be friendly and the selfies and the signatures, but I'd like to go at least two feet before I... I mean, there's 20,000 kids and patrons here.
It's nuts!
Charlie Kirk, you have done something amazing.
This is kind of the new epicenter.
I've never been to one of these before, but the energy here is palpable.
Not only the energy, the eclectic nature of who's here.
I mean, this is America, but this is the America that loves America.
Everybody who loves America is here.
And the fact they've got 1,500 high school kids, Who are here with their parents, who get travel grants.
I have said this for years on my radio show, which will soon be taken over by somebody else.
There are two organizations.
If you want to change America and you've got some money, you give to Charlie Kirk's turning point that is turning around the youth and you give to Dennis Prager's PragerU, which is the most important counter indoctrination platform out there.
What Charlie, what Dennis are doing, no surprise, they're good friends.
This is the future of America saved, my friend.
So I've got to talk some business with you.
First of all, is there a part of you, a small part of you, that will miss doing this show?
Or is the work you're about to do too big?
Again, it's like being in a dream.
It's like a nice...
Positive episode of The Twilight Zone because, yeah, look, I agree with Dan Bongino.
What we do, you work a little bit harder than I do.
What we do isn't work, right?
What does Dan say?
We don't come home and have to leave our boots outside and our overalls outside because they're covered in oil and dirt.
That's right.
Dennis told me this.
When Salem signed me six years ago, and before I'd taken over the show, he said, we're in a cigar bar, of course, in California.
And Dennis goes, do you know what we do for a living, Sebastian?
And I said, don't tell me, Dennis.
We get paid to tell people what we think.
That's not a job!
No, it's not.
I mean, it's not a job.
You don't have to write curricula.
You're not in college.
You're not, you know, marking term sheets.
I love radio.
I've been a consumer of it since I was a child.
So, of course, I'm a little bit sad.
But on the flip side, I've been doing counterterrorism theory training for a quarter of a century.
There is no more important job in my sphere than running counterterrorism for the president and for this president especially, and to work with...
Just legends like the incoming National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
Here's what I've been dying to ask you too, because I haven't talked with you since this happened.
The drone thing.
Yeah.
Do they know what the drone thing is?
So, I would refer you to my past and future boss.
And go back and see what he said on that question, what was it, four days ago in Mar-a-Lago?
Right.
He said, it's us.
He said, I don't know why they're not telling you, but it's us.
And the fact that he didn't say anything more than that leads me to think, because he wants Americans to be safe, it isn't a threat from the outside.
Likewise, Chris Plant, my Newsmax colleague, He read on air a fascinating article.
I've posted it, flying.com, July of last year.
The FAA and the DOD approved a drone testing corridor above New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Do the math.
Is that the kind of thing that would cross your desk if you were in office?
So, anything that touches on counter-terrorism crosses the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council, which is Stephen Miller.
But of course, because it's an internal threat, that would be Kash Patel, FBI, that would be the agencies that have a remit domestically.
We all will work together, especially when we're looking at There are terrorists in America who have come here through the open borders.
But, you know, a lot of my work will be what's happening in the Middle East, the collapse of Syria, the slaughter of the innocent Jews in Israel on October the 7th.
But if it's terrorism-related, me, Mike, or somebody who works for us will be involved.
The Wall Street Journal.
Huge story.
Yeah.
About what we've all known all these years.
A 10-page.
You print it out.
Huge.
I was reading on the plane.
It's like, on a phone, it was 30 pages.
It's unbelievable.
And it says what we've all known.
50 people.
Yeah, he's diminished and everyone knew it.
Yeah.
And now we're reading it.
Confirmed.
What does that mean for the safety and security of this country?
It means that for several years, we didn't have the commander-in-chief as the commander-in-chief and people who weren't authorized to do so.
I mean, these are people who gave their names in many cases to the interview.
People represented the president's command authority who didn't have that command authority.
He wasn't...
Meeting with people because the gatekeepers realized he's not capable of having a meeting that lasts for 60 minutes.
To this point, just yesterday, the Joint Chiefs, when asked about the 2,000 troops in Syria we didn't know about, he said, I don't want to speak for the White House.
Now, if the commander-in-chief doesn't know about troop movement, who's going to know?
Well, forget that.
This Air Force general who had to correct himself and say, oh, sorry, it's not 500 soldiers we have in Syria.
It's 900. I don't know.
I'm just the press secretary for the Pentagon.
It's humiliating.
It's utterly humiliating.
No, it's worse than that.
It's dangerous.
Well, What does Beijing, what does Moscow, what does Tehran think when the Pentagon's general says, I don't know how many troops we have in Syria?
It looks like a farce.
So Seb, you just spoke inside the hall here at Amfest.
What did you tell the crowd?
I didn't get to see it.
I was here prepping for your show.
I did a little thing about what really happened in Butler and what it means in terms of courage.
And then I wanted everyone else to understand it is the virtue that makes all others possible.
And then I left them with a warning.
Just because we won doesn't mean, you know, the adults are going to be back on deck at 12.01 on January the 20th, doesn't mean we get to relax.
The Mark Elias's of the world, the people who hate America, who are sabotaging it, they're still going to be trying to sabotage it.
So get engaged.
And do you believe that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are the key?
People have been making more reference to those two in the last 48 hours or so.
Are they going to be a big part of us being engaged?
Oh my gosh.
So, so, so much.
Because they're disruptors.
They're geniuses.
They're disruptors.
They hate bloat.
Look at what Elon did.
He fires 80% of the staff at Twitter.
And it's more effective afterwards.
Could we do that with government, please?
Please?
Isn't this the secret?
Putting A.I. to work on these 1,500-page bloated bills.
Genius.
Isn't that it?
That's the way to go.
Well, yeah, and then using what we find to leverage pressure against the rhinos and the people who think it's still business as usual.
Can we be clear?
77 million Americans voted for President Trump.
He blasted through by four million the record he set as an incumbent president four years ago.
Wake up, establishment Republicans.
This is now an America first Republican Party.
And so when we get back here live at AmFest in Phoenix, I'm going to talk to Seb about this shutdown, looming shutdown, and how Trump and the incoming vice president, how they're handling it, and the reaction here, as we talked about yesterday on the show, that Mike...
The Speaker of the House, he's decided not to show up to speak.
I think that's probably a good call as we continue on America First with Dr. G, my special guest on his own show.
Technically, this is your real estate for a few more weeks, you know.
I know, I know.
You've got to look after my guys.
I know Fast Eddie's coming in, but you've got to look after my boys.
Well, yeah, your whole crew, we inherited most of them.
And I'm thrilled because I've been working with them now for a few years.
They're so excited that they're going to get to bed at like midday.
No, your crew now gets to wake up with us at like 3 in the morning.
Yeah, but they get to go to sleep at lunchtime.
That's true.
That's true.
They're really psyched.
No, your team's the best, aren't they?
The best.
They really are.
The best.
So yeah, Fast Eddie's going to join us.
We take over mornings here soon after you vacate, so you know the whole deal.
So I've got to ask you, Trump, this new stripped-down CR, it didn't float.
38 Republicans said no.
Right, right.
Now I'm hearing the new strategy is we're going to just pick it apart and vote up or down piece by piece.
Is that a good strategy?
Totally.
Total utter transparency.
The idea that the original 15-page abortion had a million dollars in it for the State Department to continue to censor conservatives.
I'm sorry.
That's just unconscionable.
What do we make of Mike Johnson?
What do you make of that guy?
May I ask you this real quick?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because Johnson has been, is it one of these kind of tag-along things where Trump's really, he's the Speaker of the House, so he's got to be friendly to him or Trump wanted him around?
Because they've been pals.
They've been hanging out a lot.
Look, I've only been in a room with him, you know, half a dozen times.
He gives a pleasant impression.
I think he's a man of God.
I think he's a good guy.
Does he have what it takes to execute what needs to be done to realize the MAGA agenda?
I don't know.
All I know is President Trump is the arch negotiator.
He will get what he needs to make America great again.
Can we just talk for a second?
Because I played this clip multiple times.
Mar-a-Lago.
You've got a Japanese CEO who's just dropped $100 billion on America in front of the cameras, and he says, hey, you want to double that, right?
And the guy giggles, and he says, okay, maybe.
I mean, you can't stop.
Whether it's Mike, whether it's Mike or anybody, you can't stop.
Donald Trump is a freight train.
To have $100 billion added in a 30-second presser is just...
It's like magic.
It's like he went to Hogwarts or something.
So do you think Johnson hangs through this?
Does he survive it or no?
I have no idea.
And I'm not sure it would be appropriate for me to comment.
Right.
So then this bill, will there be a shutdown here at midnight?
I hope so, because D.C. is great when the government's shut down.
You can get wherever you want really quickly.
So my wife and I say, can we have a six-month shutdown, please?
I don't know.
We live there.
How does the lovely Katie feel about you going back to the White House?
Super excited.
Super excited.
She actually toyed with the idea herself.
Now she may or may not be assisting in certain aspects of the transition.
But, yeah, she's very busy as the chair for the Republican Party in the most populous county of Virginia.
She's a star and a brilliant woman who has taught a lot of people on the ground how to get active in their backyards.
And how to do something.
She is the exact person you want as a politician.
I tried to work on her for five years to get involved in politics.
She said, it's disgusting.
Are you crazy?
You want people in politics who don't want to be there, and you must not have the people in politics who want to be in politics.
That's the magic thing.
If they are a citizen and you can force them to do politics for a few years, yes, that's the founding fathers.
To have people there for 40 years?
And like Pelosi, McConnell?
The arrogance that so many members of Congress have been displaying to that point over the CR. They act like we're an imposition.
That purple-haired lunatic?
Oh, yeah, with the weird glasses.
What a nut.
That's a member of Congress?
Yeah.
What?
You've been around the president-elect a lot.
Is it just my impression, or is it real that this guy seems zeroed in, focused, calm, not irritated?
It doesn't even seem like he cares about the sniping anymore.
That seems like he's over it.
You mean the sniping from the outside?
He's not paying attention to their gnats.
He's got a bigger thing to focus on.
And I've got to share with you, no names, no pack drill.
A member of his cabinet, we were speaking yesterday.
This is a guy who's...
Maybe even younger than me.
I think he's younger than me.
He said, I can't keep up with the guy.
He's a member of the cabinet.
The guy's 70-70.
He can't keep up with the boss.
Of course he doesn't have time for the ankle biters because he's too busy saving America.
I mean, look at what he's done.
Look at Notre Dame.
Look at all these heads of state.
Even Jill Biden.
Looking at him like he's the quarterback and she's the cheerleader.
The whole world wants him back, and he's already president, isn't he?
I mean, really?
Yeah, no, it's absolutely right.
Everybody knows it.
That's exactly right.
I spoke briefly with Caroline Levitt about all these people who are flocking to Mar-a-Lago right now.
Oh, my gosh.
Did you read Scavino's tweet?
Not yet.
Oh, dude.
Like a new one today?
No, no, no, no.
From the weekend.
I've got to read this.
You know when you see something and you say, oh my gosh, I wish I had written that?
Because this is...
You know how I don't go to the gym anymore.
All I do every day is I swim through the sea of resumes people are sending me.
People I haven't heard from for 15 years.
Hey, I'm your good buddy!
Okay.
Right?
I didn't see this.
Did you see this?
He said, screw everyone who's calling me, texting me, sending me your resume.
If you didn't stand up for the president or MAGA in the last four years, go to hell.
I'm not answering your texts.
I love Dan Scavino.
In fact, I saw Trump post just yesterday, everyone wants to be my friend, right?
Look at all the tech CEOs.
Bezos.
I mean, he found some change in a cushion and he's giving a million to the inauguration.
The Netflix CEO. Everybody wants to be part of the gang now, but we remember what you did for the last eight years.
Isn't there something delicious about Stepanopoulos and ABC paying to go to the library, though?
Yeah, but it's only 15 million.
It's just hilarious.
Okay, I have zero...
This is Scavino.
I have zero interest in working with anyone who is a former colleague that disappeared upon our departure from the White House and was nowhere to be found when the president announced his campaign and was silent through 2023. Stop calling.
Stop emailing.
Stop texting.
You're not hearing back from me.
Ditto from Dr. G. So here's my question.
Now that I've got to get up and do this every day, and you're leaving us, and you're going to be a White House big shot, will you take my calls?
That's what I want to know.
Who are you?
See, I knew it.
I knew it.
Now, I've been riding along with you.
I've ride or die all along.
I'm not a Scavino sellout, like he was just saying.
I've been with you all along.
You have been an absolute trooper.
Things you've said to me on your show have actually hit me in the solar plexus in the heart, so I will always be there for you, buddy.
Honestly, to get to know you and your family has been just a real treat.
Same for me.
I'm so proud of you.
I don't know if I can say that or not, but I really am.
I am proud to have you as a friend, Christogal.
Thank you, Seb, very much.
Harumph.
And this whole country is going to be safer and sleep better at night because you're there.
It's funny.
The texts I get, half of them are congratulations, half of them are I feel safer.
I like that.
Dr. G, God bless you.
God bless you.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, my friend.
And that is the man who hosts this show.
I'm going to continue to host his show while he goes and meets his adoring fans all throughout the Turning Point land here.
And that's where we are at AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona.
We're going to be here throughout the day today.
We're going to hear from more fantastic guests who are going to be in the main hall speaking today.
And, of course, we always want to hear from you.
If you want to reach us today, you know the number.
That number stays the same.
As we continue, live from Phoenix, it's AmFest 2024, and this is America First.
Be right back.
Glad to have you back on America First, live from AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona.
I'm Chris Stegall, in for Dr. G, who was speaking in the main hall a little earlier, visited with us off the top of the show, which was a thrill to have him.
It might mark the last time I actually get to speak with him, as a radio colleague anyway, a broadcast colleague, as he heads to the White House.
AmFest, if you have not been before, I highly recommend it.
I will tell you, it's my first time ever having been here.
It is spectacular.
It is full of patriots of all ages.
I know this kind of gets labeled as the conservative youth movement, and there are a lot of young people here, but it's really people of all ages, all colors.
It's tremendous.
A lot of women here.
You know, that's the thing.
They say that the young women of this country voted for cackle britches, I call her Kamala Harris.
You wouldn't know it by the presence of the young women in this country.
We're turning points going on.
It's really something, and if you haven't had the chance to be a part of it, I highly commend it to you for the next year.
Meanwhile, I would tell you about Angel Tree.
If you have not heard us talking about this, really, really cool.
I just got some notes a little while ago on this that...
While all this turmoil is going on in Congress, some great news came in.
Because of you and your generosity, our annual Angel Tree campaign just hit a huge milestone.
As of Thursday evening, we hit and exceeded our network-wide goal of $388,000 to help bless boys and girls who have a mom or dad in prison.
In fact, We're just, not even, $7,000 away from breaking the $400,000 threshold.
That would deliver a Christmas gift, along with a personalized note from their incarcerated parent, plus a new Bible, folks, to almost 14,000 deserving children next Thursday for Christmas.
So we're just under $7,000.
Before your weekend begins, I hope you'll go right now to SebGorka.com.
Click on the Angel Tree banner at the top of the page.
And if you give just $30, you can change a prisoner's child's life.
$150, you can bless five kids.
Of prisoners with that personalized Christmas present, a personal note from their incarcerated parent, and every Angel Tree family also gets access to a free, easy-to-read copy of the Bible in English or Spanish.
Again, go to SebGorka.com.
I bet we could get this done right now, probably during this show.
A little less than $7,000 to go to hit our $400,000 new high.
Thank you so much for joining the campaign to help Prison Fellowship.
And again, go to SebGorka.com and just click on that Angel Tree banner and you can give.
That's exciting.
And congrats to every one of you who made that possible again, and all of my colleagues across the Salem network who have been working tirelessly to get that money raised.
So really, really cool way to kick off this weekend as we head into the Christmas holiday.
Telephone number, same as always, 833-334-6752, 833-334-6752.
Let's go to some of the audio from the last couple of days.
Scott Jennings, who's been tremendous on CNN.
And if we could go to number nine, Scott is making a point.
You know, Seb and I were just talking about this 10-page printed Wall Street Journal piece that says the Husk, Joe Biden, isn't in control, hasn't had his faculties, has never been in control, in fact, appeared sleepy during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, sources now say, who were in the room, felt sleepy then.
We knew he was never running anything.
But like everything else about this administration and up to the election, we were lied to by establishment media who told us he was fine.
We knew he was not up to it when he won in 2020. So take a listen to Scott Jennings.
It's the biggest scandal in America and the level and volume of people who dedicated themselves to lying to everyone at home about this man's condition for four straight years up through this summer.
Is breathtaking.
It's a scandal of epic proportions.
And it's a fair question to ask.
Who is running the country?
Who has been running the country?
And as I said earlier, if you're worried about Donald Trump's advisors having influence, for the last four years, apparently, this president, duly elected, but this president, was not capable of fulfilling the duties of the office.
And his staff and the White House lied about it and kept it from the American people.
It's an absolute scandal.
It is a scandal, and the entire day today, I was watching, I call her Pepe Le Pew, the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Bierre.
All she said repeatedly, over and over and over again, when members of the media were asking, shouldn't Joe Biden have something to say about this CR battle?
Shouldn't Joe Biden have something to say about government, about the shutdown?
And all she kept saying over and over and over again was, well, this is Elon Musk, this is Donald Trump, this is the Republicans' fault.
Yeah, but he's the president, isn't he?
Or not?
It's weekend at Bernie's, for real, confirmed now.
Not that we needed it from the Wall Street Journal.
Merry Christmas from AmFest.
Chris Stigall in for Seb on America First.
Music by Ben Thede.
Music by Ben Thede.
Music by Ben Thede.
We are having fun.
There's a good vibe in the air at AmFest.
It is the Christmas season to boot, which is great.
But, but, we still have to deal with Washington.
And that's Congress about to head home, maybe, for this break.
And Schumer and the Democrats are over there on the Senate side.
We shouldn't forget about them.
They're not done screwing around.
A 600-page, $50 billion end-of-year spending bill on the Senate side that would undermine Trump's agenda just weeks before he takes power.
It's a stuffed stocking spending bill that includes disastrous policies, like the one that would mean dramatic expansion of government.
And, uh, intervention in private health insurance.
So, Big Pharma gets a massive windfall profit, as always, at the expense of the American people, and it's a sneak attack that really only you can stop.
Every year, Big Pharma hiked prices on hundreds and thousands of prescription drugs, more than the rate of inflation.
Drug companies set the price, they hiked the price, and worse, They ensure that you stay locked into paying high prices, blocking competition, yet still spending billions of dollars on ads, pushing drugs many don't even need, and we get to subsidize lower prices for the rest of the world.
It's infuriating.
And now big pharma executives have their champagne ready to toast the $50 billion money grab from American employers, patients, and taxpayers.
The GOP will be taking control in just a few weeks.
So Republicans can't let Chuck Schumer force this thing through over there on the Senate side either.
This big pharma scheme can be stopped and you can help stop it.
Conservatives for lower health care costs remind you it's not too late to stop big pharma from putting a lump of coal in your holiday stocking.
Go to pharmawindfall.com and sound the alarm.
pharmawindfall.com Alright, the number 833-334-6752.
That's 833-334-Gorka as we continue here.
Apropos of nothing, and there's really nowhere to put it, but I should mention it, there is some heinous video coming out of Germany of the Associated Press calls it a car speeding through a Christmas market, probably killing I don't know how many.
We don't have reports of all the fatalities yet, but there's video of it, and it's horrific.
This car is going at an amazing clip, ripping right through this crowd of people, mowing over Dozens and dozens of people.
I guess they have arrested whoever it is who's driving the car, but of course, as usual, because we don't know what the person who's driving the car looks like, I bet you can fill in the blanks.
I have a very, very funny feeling you can fill in the blanks.
I know I can.
I won't, because that would be irresponsible of me as a broadcaster, but I will...
Leave it to our imaginations.
And as we know, a guy like Dr. Gorka is going to be moving into the counter-terrorism division of the White House.
Now more than ever, aren't we thrilled that he'll be there?
Because this is ratcheting up again.
You get the sense that the worst actors in the world are revving up with still a month to go, and now the Wall Street Journal confirming, we don't have a president.
We have a guy that is asleep at the switch.
He's been asleep since he took the office.
Who's really been running the country is the question.
We'd all like to know.
He's not involved in the day-to-day operations.
He's not involved in this discussion on the CR or a potential government shutdown.
And the White House press secretary effectively says it's not his problem.
Don't bother him.
They have nothing to say about it.
It turns out Harris, Kamala Harris, and he have both returned to Washington.
There's speculation about maybe she needs to be a tie-breaking vote in the Senate perhaps.
People have been going crazy with speculation that this Wall Street Journal report exposed him for being such a shell and a husk that maybe he needs to step down immediately, maybe 25th Amendment, maybe give Kamala Harris, you know, a seat for like a month as President of the United States.
I... I have a hard time believing that only because we know what a sore loser the Bidens are and how mad they are about being shoved out.
So I think that Jill Biden, if not Joe, I think Jill Biden and Hunter are orchestrating a hard, stalwart stand.
They're not budging until they have to budge out of that White House, would be my guess.
But clearly no one inside the White House is talking.
They're not really holding him accountable for anything.
So we're going to continue to monitor that.
And as you're listening to everybody standing in line waiting to get into the hall at AmFest, this place is buzzing.
Going to be fantastic speakers throughout the weekend.
And we're just getting started.
One other story that's pretty disturbing on this front is the...
I got this from the Media Research Center.
It's the headline that says more murders of business leaders are coming, Americans warn.
More murders of business leaders.
Two-thirds of U.S. likely voters warn in a survey that they think that's coming.
That's oncoming.
Twenty percent.
There was a new Rasmussen survey, an Emerson College poll, which I think I talked about here.
20% of US adults view Mangione, that's the guy that stabbed the United Healthcare CEO, they view him favorably.
20% view him favorably.
27% of likely voters say the CEO's murder was an understandable reaction to the high cost of healthcare in America.
17% of US voters say the murder was at least somewhat acceptable.
Chilling.
This is culturally chilling.
You know, we're going to be spending some time with the Turning Point Faith Division here in Phoenix as the show rolls on.
This is one of those themes that I really want to explore.
What is this darkness that is beginning to sweep over the land when voters, likely voters, Are saying to pollsters, yes.
Not only do we understand that a CEO was murdered, we somewhat support that the CEO was murdered.
And now we have a story today that a guy called Nathan Mahoney, age 32, in Muskegon, Michigan, stabbed his boss.
That just came down yesterday.
A guy called Eric Denslow.
He's the president of a company called Anderson Express, Inc.
They're having a meeting, and this 32-year-old employee of Mr. Denslow's just pulled out a knife and stabbed his boss and then took off running.
And we're now in the midst of a culture where that's okay.
This is stunning.
20% of adults view assailants like this in a favorable light.
27% say it's understandable reaction.
That's dark stuff.
And that's the kind of thing you would hope American leaders, like this pretend president who's asleep and we don't know where he is, you'd hope at a bare minimum these are the kinds of things they'd be leading on and talking about.
But that's not what they're talking about.
In fact, when Democrats are asked about this darkness, what do they say?
They always say, well, of course you should murder a guy.
But, again, giving credence to it and saying, If something's too expensive or you don't have access to it and it's run by a private company, why everyone can understand why you'd want to harm the guy or woman who runs that company.
It's sick.
And this is why the Democrats have lost control of Congress and the White House, I believe.
The 20th of January can't get here fast enough.
We're at AmFest in Phoenix.
Back in a minute. Back in a minute.
Back in a minute.
Merry Christmas.
Glad to have you here.
Welcome into America First.
Chris Stegall in for Seb today, who just made remarks on the stage of America Fest here in Phoenix a few hours ago.
Rock star in this place, and at a time the world needs serious people on the global stage.
Again, we'll continue to follow that breaking news that just happened here in the last hour.
A car plowing through A Christmas market in Germany.
We don't know anything more than the individual who was driving the car has been arrested.
We don't have a report on how many fatalities or injuries, but you can expect that there are several.
The footage of it is grisly.
It's a car going at an extraordinarily high rate of speed.
Just plowing right through a crowd.
So we'll continue to follow that.
If we learn more, we will certainly jump in and let you know about it.
Let me head to the phones quickly.
How about John out there in Indiana?
John, glad you called America First.
I'm Chris in for Seb today.
Hi.
Thank you so much, Chris.
We love you, but we're going to miss Dr. Sivarska.
Yeah, I know.
We all will, but we need his help there in the White House now more, I think.
Don't you?
Yeah.
I've got two things I'd like to ask.
I've been calling since 2017. I'm a Vietnam officer, and I've been calling to ask for a photo of him and the president, but I guess he was too embarrassed.
But I heard last year he had one since he's 42 pounds lighter.
I was going to say, John, I'll tell you what I'll do.
I'll pass it on because he's here in the hall, so I'll pass on your request.
You're exactly right.
Now that he's gone on the My PhD Weight Loss program, he's lean, he's mean, he's a fighting machine.
I bet you he didn't want to send you a photo because, you know, and believe me, I know a thing or two about this, having been several pant sizes bigger and smaller than I am now, you always want the photo of you at your thinnest.
So he's got to have new White House photos taken is what I'd bet.
And once he gets them, I'll bet he'll get one to you, John.
So thank you.
Quickly, J.D. Vance.
If we could.
Number 8, J.D. Vance says if the Democrats want to shut this thing down, that's what they're going to get.
Mr. Vance, will you accept any deal that does not include a debt limit increase?
Look, I'll say one thing.
The Democrats just voted to shut down the government, even though we had a clean CR, because they didn't want to give the president negotiating leverage during his first term, or during the first year of his new term.
And number two, because they would rather shut down the government and fight for global censorship.
They've asked for a shutdown, and I think that's exactly what they're going to get.
There you go.
And that's what they're now trying to do, is break this bill down in pieces, that's the latest, and do a straight up or down vote on each individual drawn out item.
They're going to make Democrats decide yes or no on certain funding issues, disaster relief, among other things.
Will the Democrats dare say no to all of it or not?
If they're serious about all of these things they say, You know, checks going out of the mail and veterans getting their benefits and all of this stuff.
The Republican strategy now is, let's just vote on it, up or down, one at a time.
I think it's a really strong play, and we're going to see if it works.
One thing we know is all these people want out of town.
I'm staying in Phoenix, though.
I'm having a blast.
At AmFest.
Merry Christmas.
back in a moment on America First.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Thank you.
Welcome back to America First with me, Sebastian Gorka.
You've heard it before, there are known unknowns and unknown unknowns.
And then there's Chris DeGal, Philadelphia's AM990 The Answer, and we're delighted to have him with us today.
And I'm delighted to be here.
Thank you, Seb.
Merry Christmas.
Welcome in to America First, live from AmFest 2024. You know, the Turning Point people, by the way, as Seb said, I'm Chris Stigall, filling in for Seb.
But Seb, you know, he's taking a very important job at the White House.
So he's just here a couple more weeks anyway.
I was honored to fill in for him while he's in there speaking at the Grand Hall today.
And lots and lots of great speakers here that Turning Point brings in.
Turning Point's also affiliated on several different branches with lots of important projects.
One of them that's particularly significant, at least to me, is Turning Point Faith.
Yes.
And if you don't know Turning Point Faith, I would commend them to you because they do tremendous work.
We're going to speak to a couple of different members of Turning Point Faith while we're here at AmFest.
Lucas Miles is on the way in a little while.
He's a great friend of ours.
And I have not met Pastor Amanchukwu before, but I have been told by Seb that you're a great friend of the show, and it's a real pleasure to make your acquaintance here.
Hey, thank you so much for having me on, Chris.
You know, I admire the work that Dr. G, Seb, has done for many years, you know?
Yes.
You're right.
He's going on to a significant role in the Trump administration.
And I really think that he's going to bring more common sense to the White House.
He's a man with an iron back when reporters try to speak against him.
We all saw what happened.
When that took place, right?
Nothing's more fun than watching him square off with media.
I know it.
He's a giant.
And we all know that legacy media is dead.
And that's why Salem is thriving.
The woke left, they overplayed their hands.
Even when we think about this past election, let's just get into it, right?
You bet.
Identity politics failed.
I was told repeatedly, because I'm black, that I have to vote for Kamala Harris.
What matters more to me It's like-mindedness versus like color.
We've seen what like color can get us.
President Trump dodged a bullet on July 13th, but so did the American people.
If we had ended up with Kamala Harris, we'd be dealing with more inflation, more transgenderism being forced upon our children, More criminal illegal aliens, not asylum seekers or newcomers, more criminal illegal aliens coming into our country seeking to ravish our communities.
And to destroy our families.
But a dark cloud has been removed from our country.
President Trump is the man of the hour.
Dr. Gorka Seb is going where he needs to be.
We'll hold it down out here and deal with the insanity and continue to fight.
And in this room, in this place, a lot of those people like yourself are doing that.
That's right.
I have never seen energy in a room for a movement like I've seen in this place.
This is something.
Yes.
People are passionate about reclaiming America.
Yes.
You know, we're sick and tired of being told that we need to be divided in the name of critical race theory.
You know where I saw that, Pastor?
And I'm sorry to interrupt.
Oh, yeah.
But when we heard Barack Obama Tell black men, I believe his nomenclature was, the brothers.
They'd better get their minds right.
That's right.
I, as a white guy, heard that and went, wow.
You cringed, right?
I really did.
So did I. I mean, because what he was doing was he folded his arms and he said, we need to get our act together.
And he said that black women have carried black men for many of years.
And the sad thing is, you know, it's hard for a matriarchal community.
Hmm.
To compete with a patriarchal community.
There are many people who talk about the wealth gap in America, the generational wealth gap.
Well, let's look at the fact that in the black community it's led by women, you know?
That is such a deep and profound subject, and one that I can't pretend to understand, but can you explore that with me a little bit?
I've heard that before.
Well, when you consider, of the American population, black women account for 8% of that.
Black men account for only 5%.
Now, when you go back a little bit further to the 1890s, the black marriage rate from 1890 all the way up to 1950 rivaled that of the white community.
Okay.
But in comes the great society through Lyndon B. Johnson, his plan to bring about welfare states, right?
That decimated the black community.
He found a creative way, LBJ, to remove the black man from the home and replace him with a $300 to $400 check.
It broke the back of the black community.
And so much of what we see today with the generational wealth gap and the Plan to kill as many black babies as possible at local abortion clinics.
Eighty percent of abortuaries are in economically disadvantaged communities.
Now we see the trends in the black community where there are more black women than black men.
That's not God's design.
I have heard great broadcasters and friends like Jason Whitlock discuss this before.
There is something about it, and I think it's not just in the black community.
Young women Are the one demographic that Trump did not do well with.
They're extraordinarily...
I shouldn't paint with a broad brush because there are lots of young women here that are Trump voters.
But there's something going on in this country, in this culture, with young women, they're becoming very angry, maybe man-hating.
Again, I can't say it broadly, but are you noticing that?
Well yes, it's a Marxist, atheist, anti-biblical approach towards the family.
This is why I hated BLM with the perfect hatred.
BLM sought to destroy the nuclear family.
And knowing the stats that I just mentioned, why in the world would a black organization want to further decimate the nuclear family?
It's because at the end of the day, sexually, they had no desire for men.
BLM was founded by three women who were lesbians.
So when we cut to the chase, that's the reason why.
They didn't care about black men or white men or Asian men or Pacific Islander men.
They didn't need men.
And that's the name of the day.
Male leadership and authority kind of atmosphere that we live in.
Yes.
To the point where men have been neutered and they've lost their voice.
Yes.
If a man is assertive and aggressive, speaks like a man, talks like a man, stands like a man, looks like you, looks like me, right?
Then we're labeled as being bombastic.
I'm sure someone's going to call in and say, hey man, I thought that was rude with what you said.
Well, okay.
I'm sorry.
I'll pray for you.
But at the end of the day, If a man is more reserved and more silent and more quiet, he's beta.
And so men are on this pendulum of, okay, how do I respond?
How do I act?
You know, the biblical model for a man is for a man to be a provider and for a man to be a protector.
The Bible says if a man doesn't work, Neither shall he eat.
In other words, if you're not working with your hands, you're going to suffer and be in poverty.
And we are hearing statistics on young men and work in this country.
Yes.
There's a huge chasm of young men not working.
There is, you know, and it's the culture.
The culture says today To do little and expect a lot of the government, right?
And that's what's being sold to our children, this communistic mentality of equity, right?
And equity is the transmission of a disease called communism.
That's really what it is.
We take from the winners and we now give to the losers in the name of leveling the playing field.
We see it even in education.
It's called redefining proficiency.
And Pastor, because you speak from a pulpit, what is the role of the church in reshaping the culture?
I think churches across the board, again speaking broadly, not of yours or mine necessarily, but churches broadly have maybe taken a step out of the arena of framing the debate and shaping the culture.
Are we seeing that change?
Yes, we have seen the deconstruction of what is known as the Christian church.
I believe that weak pulpits create weak Christians.
Yes.
If you want to know why when you scrolled on social media when Roe v.
Wade was overturned that so many Christians were afraid to celebrate that, it's because they've been listening to sissy pastors.
Yes.
Who have failed to preach the truth and show them that we are made in the imago Dei, the image of God, and Almighty God wants to protect that image.
And that life is both a construct and a concept.
It's a construct because when we look at Jeremiah chapter 1, before God called Jeremiah to be a prophet, God knew him As a concept, he had a plan for his life.
Chris, God has a plan for your life.
He had a plan for my life.
To the listeners out there, regardless of your situation, regardless of your plight, where you are in life, God has a plan for your life.
Amen.
That is so important and why we see so many young people despairing.
They have not heard that good news and they need to hear it.
Welcome back and talk with you about some new projects you're doing, Pastor.
You got it.
We are at AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona.
Seb was speaking earlier.
That's why I'm here.
Chris Stigall filling in for him today.
You can call us just as you always do at 833-334-6752.
833-333-GORCA. That's the number.
As we come back live at AmFest, can't wait to see who's coming next.
You just don't know.
There's people all over the place popping by.
And you'll be here to see it and hear it on America First.
Sit tight. Sit tight.
Sit tight.
Christmas.
It's Christmas time.
It's only a few days away.
And before Congress heads home for the holiday break, not only are they dealing with that CR, they're also dealing with Schumer and the Democrats on the Senate side trying to push through a huge 600-plus page, $50 billion end-of-year spending bill on their side.
That is a stuffed stocking spending bill that's got a disastrous bunch of policies, like the expansion of government intervention in the private healthcare market.
It's a big profit win for Big Pharma, and it's a sneak attack that only you can stop, as always.
Now, what they're doing is going to ensure that you're going to stay locked into paying huge prices for pharmaceuticals, blocking competition, spending billions on a bunch of obnoxious ads, pushing drugs that likely many people don't need, and, of course, subsidizing lower prices for everyone else across the globe instead of here at home.
And now, big pharma executives are all ready to enjoy this $50 billion money grab from American employers, patients, and taxpayers.
That's unless you act, and you can.
By joining conservatives for lower healthcare costs and reminding you that if you jump in at pharmawindfall.com, you can put a stop to this.
Let folks know.
Show your support.
You want to shut this thing down too.
pharmawindfall.com, the website.
pharmawindfall.com.
As we continue live here at AmFest, thrilled to be with one of the members of Turning Point's I've been practicing that.
You got it.
I hope I got that right.
You're doing well, brother.
Thank you for sticking around.
You are very well known around here.
People love what you had to say.
You were on stage.
You're going to be on stage here?
Yes, I am.
What's your message to people when you speak here?
First and foremost that the election is over.
But the rapture, the coming of Christ is pending.
Yes.
The Bible says, occupy until He comes.
We also know that no man knows the day nor the hour that the Lord shall appear.
What does that mean?
We have a lot of work to do.
Look at Washington.
It's going crazy.
They're fighting over whether or not this should be in a bill and that should be in a bill.
Right?
There's so much work that needs to be done.
And so really for this upcoming year, now that we have tone from the top, It's time to get down to business.
We the people demand that we reduce inflation.
We the people demand that we get away from aborting babies as early as It's 20 weeks and six weeks.
I mean, this is just corrupt.
We, the people, demand that we provide school choice for children.
Do you not know that in the 1950s, blacks were locked out of the public school system?
But today they're trapped in.
Wow.
That's profound.
I had not thought about it that way.
Locked out in the 50s, trapped in them today.
That's it.
And so many people want out.
They want out.
And can't get out.
They can't get out because economically they don't have the resources to go to a school of their choice.
And so the white liberals who keep them trapped in the public school system, oh, they take theirs to the best school ever.
I'm stealing that.
That's brilliant.
Use it.
I'm going to use that all the time, Pastor.
I want to talk about a film you're working on right now.
And if people go to 22wordsfilm.com, they can do a little more reading and watching on this, but talk to us about it.
So, the 22 words come from the school-sponsored prayer that was banned in 1962 after the Ingle v.
Vitale court case.
It was a simple, non-denominational, non-proselytizing prayer that kids would recite every morning.
It said, Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our country.
That prayer ruffled the feathers of Madeline Murray O'Hare and many of these woke children.
Monsters who wanted to push Marxist-Atheist teachings to the point that the Supreme Court ruled 8-1 to remove school-sponsored prayer.
Former Secretary of Education William Bennett said in his cultural indexes that as a result of that, from 1960 to 1990, divorce doubled, teenage pregnancy went up 200%.
Teen suicide increased by 300%, and violent crime went up 500%.
All of this stems from the rejection of God in the public school system.
Amen.
And it is remarkable that you share those dates and those numbers and that prayer, because as you look at things like China, for instance, when we talk about TikTok, I remember them showing me once what TikTok looks to kids in China versus what kids see on TikTok here.
Sure.
China, it's really not rooted in prayer, certainly, but it is rooted in that reverence and respect for parents and authority and teachers.
That's it.
And it's the opposite here.
Correct.
China keeps that order there.
That's important to their culture.
I mean, they're communists, but they recognize why it's critical.
Exactly.
You know, and it's imperative that we get back to that.
You know, anywhere God is barred, that place is cursed.
You can't reject God and still receive the favor of God.
It's almost like the public school system saying to me that I have no right to speak about what's going on at school board meetings around the country because my kids go to a private Christian school.
Well, hey, I have a right to speak into this because you take my money.
My property taxes goes towards...
Three children that should be in the public school system.
That's exactly right.
But they're in the private school system, so I'm being forced to pay twice.
And so the documentary brings along people like David Barton and Bill Federer and Kurt Cameron and many others who tell the story of the history of the education system, but also it details my current viral school board tour that I've led now in 18 states.
We've been able to amass 300 million views.
Flip numerous school boards, remove dozens of pornographic books, and strike down a transgender policy, policy 5756 in New Jersey.
The work is being done, but my message to America today is the election is over.
The pending coming of Christ is still upon us.
We have much work to do.
Let's get to work.
May I ask if you think you're seeing the growth of homeschool in particular as the single biggest surging trend in the country as an alternative to public school homeschooling?
Yes.
Do you think it's imperative that parents maybe in some cases start taking matters in their own hands?
Yes, I think that they should.
And many parents are.
It's a growing trend in our country along with the charter school movement.
Yes.
But I do think that we now need to make laws where these parents can have their money in their pockets so they can do what's best for their children.
Proverbs 22.6 says, Train up a child.
In the way that he should go.
And when he's old, he will not depart from it.
We're called to train them up, not mess them up.
And sadly today, the public school system seeks to mess up our kids, but parents have a worldview that's transitioning today to the point where they're saying, you know what, we're not going to allow our kids to be messed up.
We're going to do it ourselves.
We're going to homeschool.
Pastor, it is a pleasure to meet you.
God bless you.
And thank you for the work you do.
22wordsfilm.com.
I can't wait to dive into it.
Get it!
Go see you, brother.
Thank you.
Thank you for being here.
And we want to say thank you also that God keeps this America of ours free, the freest on earth still, and remain free because of the right to keep and bear arms.

Seb carries Car every single day.
And I know he'd say the same, that you should do the very same too.
Now when we get back, another great friend of this show, he's a personal friend of mine, and he's also a pillar in the Turning Point faith community.
His name is Pastor Lucas Miles, and he'll be joining us when we return right here from AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona.
Merry Christmas!

You know the greatness of America at its core?
It's our freedom, and no other country is as free, and we remain free largely due to our right to keeping and bearing arms, and no other company in America personifies that right more than Carr Firearms Group.
Their story is the American dream, and their products are absolutely second to none.
Carr Firearms Group is your source for high-quality firearms.
Visit them at KAHR.com.
That's K-A-H-R.com.
You know, we just talked with Pastor Amanchukwu a little while ago, and I am so thrilled to meet men of faith.
And it's one of the pillars that makes the Turning Point group work so well.
In fact, they've got a whole division called Turning Point USA Faith.
And I am thrilled to tell you that a guy that I've gotten to know pretty well over the years, he's a great friend of my show in Philadelphia, and when I found out he was here, I said, well, he's got to come join us as we fill in for Seb, Again, my name is Chris Stigall, by the way, and I'm filling in for Seb today.
Thrilled to welcome my friend, Pastor Lucas Miles, who serves now as the Senior Faith Director at Turning Point Faith.
Congratulations.
Thank you, Chris.
It's good to always be with you, and I appreciate that.
You are...
You're a passionate guy who I've known now for a few years, has spoken out about woke in the church before it was cool.
I mean, you wrote the book on it, Woke Jesus, some time ago.
Yeah.
You know, my first book on this subject was The Christian Left in 2021. Started writing that in 2018, 2019. You know, so this has been something I've been beating a drum about for a long time.
And now with, you know, Charlie's backing and with, you know, kind of all the power behind the really greater turning point ecosystem that we have, my goal is to eradicate wokeism from the American Amen.
And Charlie obviously thinks you're the man to do it, too.
You've identified it, and you identified it early.
And why do you think Charlie and Turning Point makes Faith a cornerstone?
They've created this whole division that you direct.
Yeah, you know, I think Charlie really understands.
I joked with him, and hopefully he'll be okay with me saying this, is that I kind of teased him when I took the job.
You know, I knew there was a vacancy within TPUSA Faith, and I already had a relationship with Charlie, and I said, hey, You know, if you need help vetting anybody, just let me know.
I said, I'd be happy to, you know, sniff them out and make sure they're solid.
And so he calls me, you know, about a month after that.
And I go, hey, who you got?
You know, what are you looking at?
And he goes, you, you know.
And so we kind of talked through and, you know, what it would look like for me to come on the team and everything else and really felt like that God had led him to me to lead the department.
It was not on my radar.
It wasn't my bingo card for the year.
And so, you know, we talked about it a little bit, and I called him back, and when I said yes, I said, look, I said, I think you kind of, like, it's almost this Constantinian sort of framework, like, you're not a pastor yourself, although we know, you know, Charlie is a very strong, committed believer, that he understands the importance of the church in America.
For the sake of unity in the nation, the sake of conservative values, the strength of the country.
And I think that Charlie wants and really is passionate about a strong and committed church in this nation.
And so I've been honored to kind of take that role.
And so my role is a couple things.
It's helping to fight against wokeism in the church.
It's also helping to unite the church.
I feel like we provide sort of the sinew and the tendons of the body of Christ to connect people together across denominational lines, which is something I've been passionate about for a long time.
And we're actually going to be bringing, this is one of the first times I've announced it, The American Pastor Project that I've been working on for so long is now going to be the American Pastor Project Powered by TPUSA Faith.
And we're going to really change the spiritual atmosphere in this nation.
I was just talking to Pastor John about this.
This to me is everything.
If you don't have a church and a pastor who's telling the truth from the pulpit, that's kind of the last...
Wall of defense against total cultural rot.
And the left knows it.
100%.
I think this is why one of the sort of the tenets or the rules of communism that we see in the naked communists is to infiltrate the church.
And the left has been successful at doing that.
I mean, our Bible colleges in many cases have fallen.
A lot of our seminaries have gone woke.
We see a lot of churches that have The rainbow stoles.
Yes, 100%.
Pastors are flying these Marxist BLM flags and rainbow flags, and it's sometimes truly Christian socialist flags, if that's even a thing, above the church.
And that's usurped biblical doctrine.
It's usurped the lordship of Jesus.
It's usurped our identity in Christ.
And so, you know, we have a lot of work to do in that regard.
Now, I will say that it's the same thing as God told the prophet in the Old Testament, I've reserved 7,000.
You know, there are thousands of pastors in this nation.
We work with a lot of them who are standing strong today.
And if you're listening out there and you're a pastor or you have a strong pastor and you think, my pastor needs to know this guy, we want to get connected with them.
And it's so important that I think people reach out to us at tpusafaith.com and let's establish that relationship.
I've got about 35 staff members across the country that work directly with pastors and we are available.
Everything we do for the church is free of charge.
And I love the heart of Charlie behind that.
This is so important.
I don't think there's anything more important, if I may.
I mean, yes, we had a big electoral win, but to keep a nation strong and moral and rooted in truth, you've got to have strong pastors in the pulpit.
I'm so glad you're heading that project.
Thank you.
Pastor Lucas Miles, again, this is tpusafaith.com if you want to know more.
Woke Jesus, one of my favorite reads about how you can keep your church honest.
And I know, Pastor, you have said before, if you're not getting the truth from your pulpit, run.
Yeah, time to go.
So take your Tide dollars in your butt and go find a new seat to sit in, right?
Good to see you, Pastor.
Thank you.
Good to see you.
Thanks for your work.
Appreciate it.
Merry Christmas.
Christmas back in a minute from Phoenix, Arizona, and AmFest on America First.

Music by Ben Thede America is the freest nation on earth, and it's just very simple.
It's primarily the freest nation on earth because of our right to keep and bear arms.
And there is no other company in our country that personifies the right more than Carr Firearms.
Led by our great friend Justin Moon, Carr stands strong and unashamed in their support for the right to keep and bear arms.
And any and all arms people might need to stand against tyranny.
They support it all.
Americans can be sure that no matter what happens, Carr Firearms Group will be at the front lines fighting for America's Second Amendment rights.
Their story is the American dream and their products are second to none.
Carr Firearms Group, your source for high-quality firearms.
Visit them at Carr.com.
That's K-A-H-R dot com.
You know Seb carries Carr.
He tells you that every single day, and he believes you should as well.
And I will tell you that it's always a great pleasure when I get to fill in for Seb on a Friday, on Second Amendment Friday, because that means I get to talk to our great friend John Lott, who wrote the book, quite literally wrote the book on the war on guns, why almost everything you've heard about gun control is wrong.
Merry Christmas, John.
Welcome back to the show.
Merry Christmas, Chris.
It's great to talk to you.
We're here at AmFest, and I can tell you this.
These are some freedom-loving people in Phoenix, Arizona, my man.
I don't know how you feel about things, but there's an air of positivity that I haven't felt in some time.
How do you feel about the Second Amendment and this new administration?
Well, it's going to be a huge change.
The Biden administration has literally put thousands of gun dealers out of business just with their They're so-called zero tolerance policy.
He claims it's to go after rogue gun dealers who are selling guns to criminals out of the back of their stores.
But it has nothing to do with that.
I mean, if they had evidence on that, they could put those types of people out of business anyway.
What they go after is if you make one tiny, trivial paperwork mistake by, let's say, transposing two letters In a county name, they'll take away your license.
They've gone back 18 years or so to go and find one typo in forms.
I mean, could you imagine if we applied that rule to government agencies and just said, if a government agency makes a paperwork mistake, a typo in the last six months, let alone the last 18 years, we're going to put them out of business?
I mean, it's just crazy stuff.
I could go through examples of that.
But you also had them revise Obama's Operation Chokepoint, where the Biden administration puts pressure on financial institutions not to go and do business with companies that they don't like politically.
Everything from companies in the energy industry, like oil, to I mean, can you survive if you don't have a financial company that goes and deals with the credit cards or checks for your customers?
Yeah, they're workarounds, but they're much more costly, and raising those costs puts even more companies out of business.
So, I mean, that's just part of it.
Plus, the Biden administration at the end of this year will have and ensure that Democrats will have almost 70 percent of the circuit and district court judges around the country.
And anybody who's been following the court cases on everything from the Second Amendment or the First Amendment or other things knows that They have a very restrictive view on what freedoms people should be able to go in hand.
So Trump probably put the best judges.
Yeah.
And to this point, to the court's point that you bring up, I know you and Seb have talked about this.
I haven't had the pleasure to speak with you about it.
Since Biden pardoned his son, one of the things we all know was his illegal purchase of a firearm lying on a federal application.
You, again, who literally wrote the book on this subject, what would happen to most of us, average Joes, who did what Hunter did, just in purchasing a firearm, never mind the drugs and everything else?
Sure.
Well, I mean, I served as chief economist for the United States Sentencing Commission in Washington, so I've seen up close the sentencing for people for committing a wide range of federal crimes, including this.
I was senior advisor for research and statistics in the Department of Justice during the Trump administration.
And one of the places I dealt with was exactly enforcement of firearms laws.
And I can just tell you, anybody that had anything even remotely similar to this would be spending time in jail.
And there are other crimes that they could have charged him with, such as the interstate transportation of an illegally possessed gun.
You know, there are cases, even during the Biden administration, where someone with no other criminal history was sentenced to years in jail for, let's say, not putting down that they used marijuana on the 4473 form, which is a prohibited substance under federal law.
Marijuana is legal at the state level in many states.
Cocaine and heroin and other drugs that Hunter Biden used were not.
And yet, you know, so they're much more serious.
But yet the Biden administration has no problem going after people for not filling out the form in their mind properly on marijuana.
John, briefly, we don't have a ton of time left, but I did want to talk to you about this school shooting in Wisconsin.
It is a 15-year-old girl.
There's more to the story now.
But, of course, it's always fascinating to me when people do not, the left doesn't take the opportunity to rush to a discussion of gun control.
They didn't in this instance because this isn't a typical story.
This is a young woman, a 15-year-old woman.
Isn't it interesting why some stories elicit talks of gun control, much like the UnitedHealthcare CEO assassination?
No real talks of gun control in either of those stories.
Isn't it interesting?
Well, in the Wisconsin case, Biden came out literally within a couple hours calling for more gun control.
A list of things, you know, top on his list was a background check on a private transfer of guns.
You know, I know he's not going and taking questions from the press, but you'd think somebody in the press would go and say, would it have stopped this Mass public shooting.
Would it have stopped any mass public shooting this century?
And the answer is no.
The second proposal he came out with was an assault weapons ban.
This is a handgun that was used there.
And yet, you know, the media doesn't seem to find any inconsistencies or any questions that they have with the administration.
Look, I want to do something, but I want to do something that matters.
We've had yet another mass public shooting in a place where civilians were banned from having guns.
Anybody who reads the diaries or manifestos for these mass murderers know over and over and over again, even if the media refuses to cover it, these people explain why they pick the targets that they do.
These people want to get media attention.
They want suicide.
Yes.
Yes, and it's always, always a soft target, to your point, John.
Thank you for the hard work you do.
I'm grateful for you.
The War on Guns is his book, John Lott, on Second Amendment Friday.
Chris Stegall in for Sebastian Gorka, live from AmFest in Phoenix.
Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas.
Live from AmFest, Chris Tagall in for Seb today.
And boy, we've got some good news.
You know, there's a lot of chaotic news, I know, and everybody is wondering what's going on in Washington, D.C. But the thing is, we can back away from all that news, and I have great news, is that we've hit a major milestone.
If you've been listening with regularity, you know that Seb and others have been talking about angeltree.
And the Angel Tree campaign, as of last night, just hit and exceeded the network-wide goal we've had here at Salem of $388,000.
And this is a goal to help bless boys and girls who have a mom or dad currently in prison.
As I understand it, we're just a little less than $7,000 away from breaking the $400,000 threshold.
Now, you listening to this show right now can be a part of...
I would personally love it, and I know Seb would love it, if this audience is the one that set us over that $400,000 mark, and I know we're going to get it done.
What that does when you give, it's a personalized note that...
The incarcerated parent is able to send to the child, plus a brand new Bible will be issued.
14,000 deserving kids have benefited from your generosity with that arrangement.
So, before the weekend begins, here's what I'd ask you to do.
If you feel inclined, go to SebGorka.com.
SebGorka.com.
Click on the Angel Tree banner at the top of the page.
For just $30, you can change a prisoner's child's life.
For $150, you can bless five children of prisoners with personalized Christmas presents and that personal note from their incarcerated parent.
Every Angel Tree family is also given access to a free, easy-to-read copy of the Bible in English or Spanish.
Again, go to SebGorka.com, click on the Angel Tree banner to make your gift, and thanks so much for joining that campaign.
It has been wildly successful because of your generosity.
Again, SebGorka.com.
Click on that Angel Tree banner.
Let's go to Nancy, waiting patiently.
Nancy, glad you called America First.
Hi there, Chris.
Merry Christmas to you and everyone at Salem News.
Thank you.
To you, too.
Thank you.
Everybody knows what MAGA stands for, and everybody knows MAHA, Make America Healthy Again.
But I've been reading about and watching about the fight in Congress over various pieces of history.
Unhelpful legislation.
So I want to know what you think of what I'm calling it.
I'm calling it MGGA. Make gridlock great again.
Good.
M-G-G-A, make gridlock great again.
No, you know, that's a great point, Nancy, and I'm glad you made it, and Merry Christmas to you.
I'm not sure why or when it became conventional wisdom that we have to have a government constantly rubber stamping and spending.
You know, sometimes, yes, to Nancy's point, gridlock is good, and the fact that the public, the American public, this group of people gathered here at AmFest, These are grassroots activists.
And guys like Seb, who've been talking to so many of them over the years, as well as people like Charlie and people like Elon, using his AI technology are letting we the people actually take a look at what they've been up to, and we don't like it.
So yeah, gridlock is good in this case.
And Merry Christmas as we continue on from AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
AmFest on America First.
You've heard it before, there are known unknowns and unknown unknowns.
And then there's Chris DeGal, Philadelphia's AM990 The Answer, and we're delighted to have him with us today.
Live from AmFest in Phoenix, Arizona.
Yeah, that roaring crowd was for us.
No, I'd love to tell you that's true.
It's absolutely amazing, the setup here.
We're on Media Row at AmFest, and it's just a cavalcade of activity.
People from all over the country, many young people, but not exclusively young, of All colors and creeds, they're all patriots.
They just...
The vibe here is ebullient as we head into the Christmas season.
Merry Christmas to you again.
I'm Chris Stegall filling in for Seb.
Seb spoke on the main stage here today and stopped by a little earlier in today's show, which was a real thrill to talk with him about his plans to...
Head to the White House.
It has been a busy couple of days, of course, as this continuing resolution gets debated.
I think the latest proposal that I heard is that Republicans Voting up or down on individual elements of this continuing resolution as a way to pass certain stopgap spending measures to keep certain functions of government open rather than pass it all at one time.
Of course, Democrats don't want to be helpful in any way.
They want that disgusting 1,500-page bill or nothing at all.
They're doing exactly what I told you yesterday, if you were listening to the show while I was filling in for Seb.
They're continuing to try to goad and prod Donald Trump to Chuck Elon Musk.
That's really what you need to know is happening.
Now the question is, will Donald Trump take the bait?
They have concluded that after our first go-around with Donald Trump from 2016 to 2020, the fastest way to get destructive with a Trump agenda is to try to personally poke at and irritate Donald Trump and his ego.
I maintain, I can't say this for certain, but it's just my observation, Donald Trump's a different guy who can't be goaded like that anymore.
He's won.
He's won everything there is to win.
So there is no agitation or irritation left.
He's the ultimate winner.
He's at the top of the mountain now.
And so people like Elon Musk are helping him carry out an agenda.
Does he feel like he's got to be the star of every show?
Democrats are concluding that's the case.
Take a listen.
If you need more evidence, here's this lunatic Rasa DeLauro.
I forget which state she comes from, but she's the purple-headed freak show.
She's one of many that have been taking to the floor trying to go to Connecticut.
Thank you.
She's the one that's been, if you haven't seen her before, I mean, she looks like a carny, like just a straight-up circus freak.
And she, like many Democrats, have been trying to poke, poke, poke.
At Trump in the hope that they can throw Elon out of there.
They think Trump may do that, and if they get rid of him, the transparency and the look under the hood at what they've been doing will also go away.
I think it's a bad bet, but here's some evidence of what I'm talking about.
Take a listen.
So we worked.
We worked hard over the last several weeks, back and forth, forth and back, to say, we can accept this, we can't accept that.
We will do this, we will do that.
We worked hard.
And to talk about what some of my colleagues have said, the Democrats are in the minority in this body.
When you have the pen, which is what the Republicans have, they write the bill.
They write the bill.
They post the bill.
They agreed on a bill.
And you know what?
They got scared.
Because President Musk...
I told them.
President Musk said, don't do it.
Don't do it.
Shut the government down.
Imagine.
Seriously, all that lady needs is a witch's hat and a couple of fat kids in the oven.
She's a loon.
That is a straight up loon.
Anyway, she is one of many now that think that this is going to work, calling Elon Musk President Musk, that that will really get under Trump's skin And that he's ultimately going to conclude, well, never mind Elon, it's been real, but this is where you get off.
I'm tired of you stealing my thunder.
I don't think it's working.
Elon Musk has consistently been messaging on social media, this isn't about me.
All I did, and Vivek, same thing, all we're doing is letting the American people know what you're up to.
If you don't like it and that makes you mad, that doesn't make me president.
That makes me a citizen who has every right to speak like the other 330 million Americans have a right to speak.
You're not the boss.
We're the boss.
I'm probably the single largest taxpaying member of the United States.
Elon Musk can probably credibly say, I have every right to voice what's going on.
That doesn't make me president of anything.
That makes me a citizen.
Claire McCaskill, one of the more odious human beings that I've ever had now this pleasure of coming into contact with.
I know a little thing about this woman.
A perennial loser back in her home state of Missouri where Josh Hawley once threw her out of the Senate and she's never been able to return.
So now she's just a bitter old woman on MSNBC and she's also taking the same tactic.
Again, just driving home this point that Democrats play now is try, see if they can get to Trump and his ego.
Listen to what she tried.
Yeah, well first, Trump looked tiny yesterday.
He looked like a very little man.
And that has got to be bugging him, big time.
He not only had to follow Musk's lead, he then couldn't deliver votes.
Now she's smart.
I will give her that.
She is a cynical, very manipulative and smart woman.
She's no dummy.
And again, the calculation is, let's just goad Trump into reacting negatively and poorly and getting Elon Musk thrown overboard once and for all.
That's their hope.
We'll see if it works.
I just don't think it will.
Also, back to this Wall Street Journal story.
I haven't been able to spend the time on it today that I probably should have.
How the White House functioned with the diminished Biden in charge.
You want to talk about...
A president who looks small or tiny?
Donald Trump's not president.
He's president-elect.
He's sitting at Mar-a-Lago.
He's playing golf.
He can't do anything.
And I'd still rather have a diminished small and tiny president than I would a feeble old corpse who's running nothing.
And this Wall Street Journal story, by the way, may I just say, I can't absolve the Wall Street Journal for sleeping on this story for four years.
I mean, I know they're running around crowing about it.
Who wrote this thing?
Annie Linsky, Rebecca Ballhouse, Emily Glazer, and Soban Hughes.
These co-authors of this 10-page printed Wall Street Journal story about Biden's diminished capacity, I've seen them doing some media rounds.
And to be very clear with you, that they would get any kind of credit now for this kind of investigative work.
They could have done this well before now.
Don't tell me the Wall Street Journal couldn't have done this story months ago, years ago.
Any number of the media could have done this story months ago and years ago.
They didn't.
Why?
Well, you can fill in that blank.
But it was only okay to write stories like this and do investigative work like this after George Clooney said it was okay.
Again, the irony of all ironies.
The people that are screaming about Elon Musk were perfectly content to follow a celebrity like George Clooney Over the cliff, throw the husk overboard and stick in that woman we call the vice president, the worst candidate maybe in recent history, inject her and then get her clock cleaned by Donald Trump.
Now it's okay to throw this old man overboard.
Well, I don't have a lot of time for it, so forgive me if I'm, while it's devastating, the piece is devastating, forgive me if I'm not ready to throw a party for the investigative journalism at the Wall Street Journal.
It's a little too late, gang.
But anyway, here's just one section of it.
Interactions between Biden and many of his cabinet members were relatively infrequent and often tightly scripted.
Now this is one of the more insidious and obscene things, to know that our government, our country, has been operated, its commander-in-chief, its CEO, is hosting scripted sessions with his own supposed cabinet.
Now if he has to have scripted sessions with the people that he supposedly picked to be in his cabinet, what does that tell you?
He probably didn't pick a single one of these people for his cabinet.
And isn't that disturbing?
And doesn't that confirm what we've always known?
Someone, I believe it's Barack Obama, has been running this White House all along.
And this stupid old man never ran anything.
And he was content to just be called President.
That's why he was always being sent off to Delaware on vacation.
He ran nothing and he was content to run nothing.
He just liked wearing the hat and the emblem on the coat.
Got to salute the Marine when he got off Air Force One or whatever.
And that was good enough for him.
But when they told him he couldn't run anymore, that was the biggest problem that he had this entire four-year stretch.
When they told him the party was over, you don't get to pretend you're president anymore.
We're handing it over to the lady.
And he said, the hell you are.
And that's when they had to sandbag him.
I've talked a lot about this on my own show in Philadelphia.
Probably no secret by now.
But don't ever forget that that June debate...
Was really strange.
We don't have June presidential debates, and yet we did with this bunch.
They sent Joe Biden to walk a plank in June with Donald Trump because they knew it was the only way to get rid of him.
He wasn't going willingly.
So they fast-forward this thing to June to embarrass him on the national stage and then held a proverbial gun to his head to get him off the stage and force him to sign this chicken-scratch letter of resignation.
It was the most unbelievable thing, but it all...
Here's Jennings talking about...
Did any...
Nobody said anything to me.
You're welcome.
Merry Christmas to you.
You know, as we head into the weekend and we get closer to Christmas, we have some actually very good news to share, and that is Angel Tree.
Our Angel Tree campaign you've been hearing us talk about, it just hit a major milestone thanks to your generosity.
As of Thursday evening, we hit and exceeded...
Our network-wide goal of $388,000.
That's amazing.
To help bless boys and girls who have a mom or dad in prison.
In fact, we're less than $7,000 away from breaking a $400,000 threshold.
That's never been done here across our network family, and it's only because of this audience's generosity.
So, if you're inclined, maybe we could get this done today.
Wouldn't that be great?
We're less than seven grand away from hitting that $4,000 threshold.
And what does that mean?
That means personalized notes, and that means a new Bible delivered to 14,000 deserving children next Thursday.
These are children of incarcerated parents.
They get a handwritten note from one of their incarcerated parents and that new Bible.
It's really just incredible.
And if you want to hear a little more about this, listen to this Angel Tree volunteer, Stephen Wilson, to tell you a little more.
Sorry, I'm getting a little choked up here.
This subject is near and dear to my heart.
I love Angel Tree.
Donations go beyond the walls of a prison to reach the family.
And that's the heart of Angel Tree is those kids that are out there who are away from their parents during this time.
This is a connection point for them to come together and just feel the heart and the love of their parent that's incarcerated.
Yeah, so if you have the time and the means to do it, boy, right now, if you go to sebgorka.com, that's S-E-B, sebgorka.com, click on the Angel Tree banner at the top of the page.
For a gift of just $30, you can change a prisoner's life.
Well, that's a prisoner's child's life, but still, the prisoner too.
I mean, this means a lot to somebody who has a child, I would assume, outside the walls of a prison.
And for $150, you can bless five children of prisoners with personalized Christmas presents and a personal note from their parent.
Now, every Angel Tree family is also given access to a free, easy-to-read copy of the Bible in English or Spanish.
Again, go to SebGorka.com, click on that Angel Tree banner to make your gift.
And thank you.
Thank you for joining the campaign to Help Prison Fellowship.
Really, really cool.
Just before the break, and I apologize we got cut off, had a little technical glitch there, but I was talking about this unbelievable piece in the Wall Street Journal about Joe Biden's diminished capacity and the fact that he doesn't know His own cabinet, which if you read this, it's stunning to see that they've reported he doesn't talk to his own cabinet.
He has to have scripts to talk to people he's supposedly appointed, which tells you he didn't really appoint them, which confirms what we've always known.
He runs nothing.
Now, I do a newsletter at Substack called the Harumph Society, and I publish it every Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
And I just published one this morning.
If you're inclined, I'd love to have you join Harumphers, as I call them, all over the country.
It's just a great group of people.
And we're doing the subscription now as a Christmas subscription, straight through Christmas Day.
If you're inclined to join us, it's just $2.50 for a month.
$30 for a whole year.
I hope you'll come aboard the Harumph Society.
I chronicle...
Some of the lowlights of the Biden administration.
It's not an exhaustive list, but as I was kind of thinking about how glad I am to have this behind us in 2024, in no particular order, the Afghanistan withdrawal, the chaotic, deadly, humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan in August of 2021. The border policy goes without saying, deliberately erasing the U.S. border and tearing down Trump's wall, leading to an influx of who knows how many tens of millions of illegals without medical or legal or background checks.
Cognitive fitness.
Biden's now well-chronicled cognitive issues and unfitness for office.
It begs the question, just as this Wall Street Journal piece, who's been running the country all along?
Wouldn't it be nice to know one member of the media would ask that question.
They were trying today.
Shouldn't the president speak about the government shutdown?
All the White House press secretary would say is, well, it's Republicans' problem.
The foreign policy failures, too many to mention, but allowing and encouraging aggressiveness from Russia and Iran and China, North Korea, Cultural revolution, promoting Marxist policies to create a cultural upheaval, damaging to U.S. security and energy independence, military strength, education, social cohesion, the weaponization of government agencies, the FBI, the CIA, DOJ, Pentagon.
I think this is probably my most important one.
Again, I didn't rank them, but this is the biggest one and the one that has to be undone by the likes of Kash Patel, using these agencies for political purposes, including targeting political opponents like Trump, raiding their home.
And then, of course, the legal actions against Trump, the lawfare, orchestrating multiple legal battles.
This Fannie Willis case down in Fulton County and her boyfriend, they both now have admitted, or at least he's admitted, that they coordinated with the Biden White House and the Justice Department to target him in Fulton County, Georgia.
So the lawfare, disgusting.
Hunter Biden's pardon.
There's another.
Biden's pardon of his son for various crimes, all recorded on the laptop from hell.
He abused the presidential pardon power.
The fiscal irresponsibility.
The promotion of identity politics.
Encouraging lawlessness.
Political smear campaigns.
Undermining federal law.
This list goes on and on and on.
It's too long for me to read all of it here.
But it's all in my newsletter, the Harumph Society.
And I do hope you'll go check it out.
If you're a Substack reader, would you head over there?
Let me play for you Scott Jennings if we have the time.
Do we, guys?
Scott Jennings on CNN. Here's Scott's summary of what is, he believes, and I agree, the biggest scandal in recent American history.
We don't have a president and we're apparently now just acknowledging that in mainstream media.
Take a listen.
It is the biggest scandal in America and the level and volume of people who dedicated themselves to lying to everyone at home about this man's condition for four straight years up through this summer Is breathtaking.
It is 100% a scandal.
Scott Jennings is right.
Quickly becoming a fan favorite around here.
I don't know how he continues to maintain a job on CNN, but he does.
And he's exactly right.
It's stunning, actually.
And will we get to the bottom of it?
I don't know.
Some people are speculating that Kamala Harris is sticking around Washington, D.C., maybe to supplant him in this closing month.
That maybe they're even talking about 25th Amendment.
I'm not sure I'd go for that.
But we shall see.
Listen, when we get back another huge facet of what's going on here at AmFest in Phoenix, we talked about the faith component, but you know another huge component of what's going on at AmFest is taking back our education system.
If we don't do something about education in this country, this is something I personally believe deeply, if we don't do something about public education, if not Totally demolish it if it were up to me.
Do away with not just the Department of Education, but do away with the notion that you need centralized, top-down government to educate our kids.
We've got to get away from that.
And we've got a guest, Erica Donalds.
You might know Representative Byron Donalds.
Erica Donalds, his wife, does work in just this field.
I think it's the most important thing we have to talk about to save the country.
Not just elections, but saving our kids' educations.

We're having fun here at AmFest.
Welcome back to America First.
Chris Stegall in for Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who was on the main stage today in that red hat and his towering stature.
He's a fan favorite around here.
Of course, he's headed to the White House.
Now, another fan favorite at AmFest is a guy that you probably see him on cable news a lot.
He's one of our favorite members of Congress.
But...
You would be mistaken if you thought that was the only thing going on at home with the Donalds family.
We're talking about his wife, Erica Donalds, who's an equally impressive person.
And I've just met her here at AmFest for the first time.
And first of all, it's so good to see you, Miss Donalds.
Welcome to the show.
Thank you.
I'm so happy to be here.
Erica does a couple of different things, and it's specifically important to me because it's in the area of education.
It's something that we spend a lot of time on my show in Philadelphia talking about.
I do some work with a foundation called the Herzog Foundation, expanding and growing school choice and specifically Christian education.
But Erica's faculty at the Leadership Institute.
She's also CEO of Optima Ed.
So I'd love to talk about what it is you do in the field of education, because in my opinion, That's, you want to talk about saving the country?
We can win elections, but if we don't course correct with our kids' education, right?
It's absolutely true, and I'm very familiar with Herzog and the great work that they do as well.
Glad to hear.
And it's very complementary to my passion, which is school choice.
Empowering parents with education freedom to be able to make decisions for their own children, to give them the best academic experience that they deserve.
Don't think that bureaucrats, whether they're in Tallahassee, in Florida, any state capital in the country, or certainly not Washington, D.C., have our best children, our best interests of our children in mind.
Only the parents, and we need to give them the agency, which means funding, and which means information and ability to be able to choose the right academic environment for their children.
We need free market principles and education, and that is going to drive innovation.
It's going to drive access and quality for everyone across the board.
Your husband, he's been a bit of a lightning rod over the years, traveling around.
He's taken on a lot of different issues, but I know this is one that's important to him, too.
Your kids are like mine.
We were just talking about this before we came on.
Here's what I regret.
If I had it to do all over again, I would have paid much closer attention earlier.
My daughter is in a private Christian school now.
We took her out during COVID and put her in sixth grade.
And so she's come up.
I see an entirely different child in my daughter.
Now, my boys are great, and I'm blessed to have great boys.
But it's just clear there's a quality that they lacked in their education that their sister gets.
And I didn't understand what I was missing.
And I know you're not necessarily advocating for any particular kind, but I want all of us as parents across the country to think more deeply about putting our kids on a school bus and sending them off three hours a day.
100%.
I completely agree.
But so many parents across the country like you are just following what they know to do and what they're told is customary, right?
You buy a house in the neighborhood where they tell you there are good schools.
That's what I did as a parent.
I was fortunate that I did find out I needed school choice early on, actually with my second child, when in kindergarten and first grade, the A school that I was sending him to didn't work for him.
He was miserable.
He didn't like going to school.
He didn't like learning.
And I was frustrated and felt like a failure as a mom because that's the one thing that I knew I needed to do for my child.
You identified that right away?
Absolutely, because I had an older son and he did great in school.
He was happy going to school.
He was learning all the time.
And so I could tell the difference.
It's the same school.
I'm doing the same thing as a mom.
Why isn't he learning the same way?
I didn't know there were different types of education.
Maybe he learns differently.
And I could have listened to the experts who told me that he needed to be on medication or he needed to be in a special classroom.
And I said, no way, I'm not doing that.
I pulled him out of that school and I found a small classical Christian school, put him in that school and rearranged my schedule, my husband and I, to pick him up and drop him off.
The first day I picked him up from the classical school, he jumped in the car with the biggest smile on his face.
He's like, Mom, did you hear about the Crusades?
And every day when we picked him up, he would tell us the entire ride home, all that he had learned in his classical education.
He loved school.
He loved learning.
He's now graduating from high school this year, wants to major in history and college and go to law school.
And he's never been on drugs.
He's never been in a special classroom except honors and AP classes.
And he's thriving because I was able to find and select the environment that works well for him.
That actually inspired me to find the other Darrens out there whose moms maybe didn't have the same agency or who were listening to the experts.
And so I ran for school board.
I got involved in school choice policy in Florida, and I've been doing that for 15 years.
Left my job in investment management and dedicated my entire life and career and time and energy to expanding school choice, not just in Florida, but around the country.
I want to talk more about that in a minute.
If we could stick around for another segment, do you mind?
Absolutely.
Happy to.
This is just, this makes my heart swell that there are stories like yours.
And by the way, they're happening all over the country.
I mean, what is so exciting, it's not just in school choice, but it's also in homeschool.
One of the biggest, biggest, fastest growing is people educating at the house.
So we'll come back with Erica Donalds live here at AmFest in Phoenix.
Chris Stigall in for Seb today on America First. . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thank you.
Thank you.
Merry Christmas and welcome back to America First with Sebastian Gorka.
I'm Chris DeGaulle in Perseb today and we're live in Phoenix at AmFest.
Where really impressive people are gathered.
Grassroots conservatives from all over the country, as well as names you know, and names who are married to maybe people you know, and names of people that you should get to know, like Erica Donalds, who continues with us, married to Congressman Byron Donalds.
I would be remiss if I didn't ask you.
I don't really mean to make you talk about your husband, but I would ask, given what's going on in Washington, have you spoken to the Congressman, your husband, about what's going on, and is he coming home for Christmas?
Oh yes, I do talk to him quite frequently.
My role with him is to listen to him vent about some of the frustrations of what goes on in Washington.
We've been in politics together for the past 15 years.
This was the first time he ran for Congress, fun fact, in 2012 when I managed his campaign.
Is that a fact?
Yes.
Wow!
And we won our county but lost the whole race, but that's really what got us started in politics.
He served how many terms now?
So he's in his third term now.
His third term.
Yes.
And before that he served in the Statehouse for two terms.
Has he given you any indication as to where he thinks the CR fight is going?
I don't think he knows at this point, just like many people don't know.
I'm hoping for the best, and I understand there's some action happening right now, but I just hope he's able to get out here.
He was supposed to speak today, now he's on the agenda for tomorrow, but he loves to come to this and, you know, see the people, the grassroots, and just really be a part of something so exciting at AmFest where so many patriots gather.
I'm dragging you into something you don't want to talk about, but I found it notable that Mike Johnson, the speaker, did not—he was scheduled also to be here.
He's— I don't know that it's so much schedule as maybe he wouldn't be welcome here now is kind of the vibe I get.
You know what I'm saying?
It's been a difficult few days up there, and that's all I'm going to say about that.
I know, I know.
That's not why you're here.
Why you're here, in my opinion, is even more important, and that's what we were talking about in the last segment.
As the faculty at Leadership Institute as well as CEO of Optima Ed, school choice is so, so important.
So that parents know they don't have to be trapped in a zip code.
They can keep...
And Florida's doing this, by the way.
Can you talk about what Florida has done so well?
It's one of, I think, only 13 states that has what's known as universal school choice right now.
Absolutely.
And when we talk about universal school choice now, the standard is education scholarship accounts.
And that's giving every parent a private account that they have access to those funds and they can direct those funds, whether it's to private school tuition or a combination of services and curricula, if they're homeschooling, for example.
Online schools are part of that as well.
And I think you're going to see more of the micro-school movement.
Those are growing tremendously where some of them are in a hybrid environment.
Having the students' school at home, maybe they provide the teacher, and parents who are intimidated by the thought of teaching themselves, especially in the older grades, can actually access teachers, whether it's online or in a micro-school environment with other families that are coming together to create.
Effectively, for people that don't know, it's kind of effectively like an old-school one-room schoolhouse.
That's right.
A lot of people don't understand the term microschool, but it really is.
It's maybe you opening your home to four or five kids.
Maybe it's a couple days a week.
Maybe it's every day of the week.
Who knows?
Other teachers come in and teach a subject.
It doesn't have to be any one way is the point.
That's right.
And states like Florida are empowering not just parents to make these decisions, but educators.
Who have a dream of teaching in a different way, who have been hogtied by the monopoly of the public school system.
This gives them an option to realize their dreams.
And actually, the Optima Foundation, our nonprofit, just launched a Start a School initiative where we're providing the tools and resources for education entrepreneurs to realize their dream of starting a school.
They don't know how to access those ESA funds.
They don't know how to create a budget, how to get enrollment and market what they're doing.
And there are sometimes some complicated ways to navigate these ESA programs, whether you're a parent or an educator.
And so we're trying to provide the gap and fill that gap for these educators to give them all the tools they need to open those schools.
Here's the thing that I found fascinating when I started digging into this as someone who cares about it and has talked a lot about it on the air.
There are a lot of Republicans in states that have constituents that say, hey, don't attack our little school district.
It's the employer in the community, and we're a fine school.
A lot of Republicans feel cowed into not supporting school choice because...
It's framed as they're attacking all of public school.
That's right.
And I don't think that's accurate at all.
I like to say it.
I'm not trying to destroy public schools, and I'm not against public schools.
What I'm against is the monopoly that they enjoy.
Yes.
Because we, as Republicans, we're against monopolies.
We know that monopolies limit quality.
They limit options.
They limit innovation.
And so, if we just break the monopoly, they'll compete with these other schooling options that we've talked about, and they will improve.
We've seen it happen.
In my own community, there was a particular high school that was very low performing for a very long time.
As soon as there was a charter school nearby where families had that option, that school increased their letter grade, increased their performance, got better leadership in the school because the school district said, if we don't do that, we're going to lose those students.
And so as a result, not only is that charter school high performing, but the other public school that's nearby is now far better performing than it ever has been.
So it benefits everyone.
And that's what the free market does.
That's what we believe in in America.
That's exactly right.
It just makes sense.
If you want to exist as a school, then you've got to be competitive and do the things that you need to be competitive.
Performance, cost.
It's wonderful to watch the free...
Safety.
Safety.
Hugely important.
You know, we run an online program, the world's first virtual reality school in classical education at Optima Academy Online.
And the number one reason that parents are choosing that online option is because of safety.
It's bullying.
It's mental health issues that their students are having problems in school and feeling that they are not safe there, whether it's physically unsafe or mentally and emotionally unsafe in school.
And so that's a huge issue for parents right now, especially post-pandemic.
This is, to me, everything.
The work your husband's doing in Congress, it all starts with a civically engaged, civic-minded, civically educated voting public.
And we're raising a couple of generations prior that were woefully Maleducated, filled with a lot of Marxist garbage, which Seb's wife Katie has written a beautiful book, Next Gen Marxism, that lays this out.
I think this school choice movement and what the Trump administration is proposing to do with education can really be transformative.
I hope it is, and I think the work you're doing is too.
I completely agree.
And President Trump promised the American people he's going to be the school choice president, and he's going to shut down the Department of Education.
We're going to stop wasting money at the federal level, and we're going to get it in the hands of parents.
Very quickly, where can people find you?
At Erica Donalds on all social media, Erica with a K, no C. Definitely reach out to me on there and follow what we're doing.
We're going to be following the Trump administration very closely and continuing to empower parents at the state level as well.
It is a pleasure to meet you in person.
Likewise.
And please pass along to your husband our best regards for the fight he's fighting up there on Capitol Hill.
Thank you so much, and Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas, Erica.
And we'll wrap it up from AmFest when we get back on America First, live in Phoenix, Well,
interesting here, as we wrap things up for Seb at AmFest, this is quite a way to wrap up the week and head into Christmas.
It appears, the breaking news this afternoon, that a third version of the continuing resolution has passed.
As I understand it, that's just breaking now.
Speaker Johnson rolled out a third plan to keep the government lights on, featuring, and I'm reading this from X, so caveat emptor, a funding extension until March, $110 billion for disaster relief and farmers.
The demand to raise the debt ceiling by Trump is not in this.
Now Republicans are bickering, Democrats are side-eyeing, but a shutdown apparently is avoided.
Elon Musk posted 20 minutes ago, the speaker did a good job here.
Given the circumstances, it went from a bill that weighed pounds to a bill that weighed ounces.
The ball should now be in Democrats' court.
So it appears to have passed.
Summary from Grok, the AI program on X. The bill aims to fund the government for three months.
It includes a proposal to suspend the debt limit until January 2027. Disaster aid, farm bill, health expenses, PAYGO scorecard.
The bill appears to be a leaner version than previous versions.
So that's the breaking news as we wrap up today's show from AmFest is this leaner CR, 118 pages, has passed.
And I guess everybody's going to head home for Christmas.
So I'm a little surprised, quite frankly, that that's the way it ended.
But there are lots of, I will tell you this, keep an eye on this as we go forward, because I see the Democrats, they've now come up with memes of Elon walking Trump on a leash everywhere he goes.
Now, Larry Elder just sat down next to me, and Larry's getting ready to do his show from coast to coast on Great Salem stations all over the country.
And he gets to pick up the mantle where we left off.
Everybody waving and smiling and saying hi.
The hall is packed.
You know, Donald Trump, as for him, he'll be coming here to AmFest on Sunday to speak.
And that's pretty well the...
The keynote.
Everybody's here waiting to see just exactly what Trump's going to have to say, particularly given the news of this.
Of course, I'm sure Larry will stay on and others will stay on what was a grisly scene at the Christmas market in Germany.
A high rate of speed, a car ends up plowing through a Christmas market.
I guess they have the suspect in custody.
Still don't know at this hour how many were killed or injured.
But, of course, Salem News Channel will stay on top of all that, too, as we head into this weekend and the Christmas week next week.
Again, my name is Chris Stigall and it's just been a thrill to be with you.
If you'd like to follow along with me, I'd love to spend time with you on X, on Instagram, on Facebook.
Chris, S-T-I-G-A-L-L. The Harumph Society is my newsletter over there at Substack.
And beginning January 13th, I'll be coast to coast on Great Salem stations everywhere as your new morning host.
