���� ���� - These are the pictures you've seen of January 6th.
They're familiar because they've been playing on a loop on every media outlet in America for the last two years.
There's a reason for that.
But it turns out there's quite a bit of video you haven't seen.
And that video tells a very different story about what happened on January 6th.
More than 40,000 hours of surveillance footage from in and around the Capitol have been withheld from the public.
And once you see the video, you'll understand why.
Taken as a whole, the video record does not support the claim that January 6th was an insurrection.
In fact, it demolishes that claim.
And that's exactly why the Democratic Party and its allies in the media prevented you from seeing it.
By controlling the images you were allowed to view from January 6th, they controlled how the public understood that day.
They could lie about what happened, and you would never know the difference.
Those lies had a purpose.
They created a pretext for a federal crackdown on opponents of the Uniparty in Washington.
So it happened.
Kevin McCarthy kept his promise.

And I tweeted out this morning, whatever you think of Kevin McCarthy, credit is due.
He kept his promise.

Here's what I would have done.
You don't need to do this whole week-long warning of something big is coming over.
All these major announcements and stuff.

That's the year-long warning.

Especially now with social media.
Something pops, it pops.
And he's going to do it all week.
I just hope that, like you said, it's going to be the drip, drip, drip.
We're going to see more throughout the week.
Right, so here's my response to Jeff's reasonable commentary, because it wasn't, you know, earth-shattering.
Very important, especially when it comes to the Shaman and Brian Sicknick.
But if you remember what Andrew Breitbart taught us, when you have a bombshell that contains a lot of information, you don't drop it.
In totality.
Because what does the mainstream media do?
What do the Democrats do?
They just ignore it.
Or they say, irrelevant, or it's a lie.
And then, a week later, it's disappeared.
If you look at what James O'Keefe did with Andrew Breitbart's counseling at the very beginning of the Acorn story, when he went with a girl pretending to be a 14-year-old prostitute and James was dressed up as the pimp, And he went to an ACORN organization office with a hidden camera and said, yeah, you'll help me get an abortion for this 14-year-old prostitute.
And the ACORN council says, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll help you.
We'll help you with these Planned Parenthoods that can do that for you.
They had this footage.
They had a lot of information about how Obama's favorite acorn was doing illegal things with young girls.
They didn't drop it in one day.
They teased it.
They let out a little bit here, a little bit there.
Why?
Because then the Democrats and the mainstream media said, Ah, no biggie.
That's just a one-off.
It's nothing important.
And then they did it again and again and again.
And when the establishment was found to have denied it repeatedly for weeks, then you drop all of it is a big bombshell and you've caught them in the net because they've denied it again and again and again.
And then, you drop the hammer, and they can't deny anything.
Hopefully, that's what Tucker's doing.
44,000 hours of footage is a heck of a lot of footage.

Let's look at Jacob Transley, this naval veteran who is known as the Shaman of January 6th.
Here, I think, is perhaps going to be the key case, amongst so many others, that will have to lead to some kind of Civil action?
Some kind of retrial?
Or a declaration of a mistrial?

The single most famous person arrested that day was a Navy veteran from Arizona called Jacob Chansley, often referred to as the QAnon Shaman.
The so-called QAnon Shaman.
QAnon Shaman.
Someone named Q Shaman.
Jacob Chansley became the face of January 6th, a dangerous conspiracy theorist dressed in outlandish costume who led the violent insurrection to overthrow American democracy.
For these crimes, Chansley was sentenced to nearly four years in prison, far more time than many violent criminals now receive.
What did Jacob Chansley do to receive this punishment?
To this day, there is dispute over how Chansley got into the Capitol building.
But according to our review of the internal surveillance video, it is very clear what happened once he got inside.
Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape.
The tapes show that Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley.
They helped him.
They acted as his tour guides.
Here's video of Chansley in the Senate chamber.
Capitol Police officers take him to multiple entrances and even try to open locked doors for him.
We counted at least nine officers who are within touching distance of unarmed Jacob Chansley.
Not one of them even tried to slow him down.
That last bit, you can see him being escorted through a gaggle of eight Capitol Police officers, literally walking straight through them.
They don't stop him, they don't try to halt him, arrest him, or cuff him.
That man was given a 41-month sentence.
How is that possible?
If they were helping him open doors, if they were escorting him through the building.
What is he accused of?
If he was committing any kind of crime, whether it was a misdemeanor or felony, why didn't the officers stop him?
Why did they instead escort him?
Why aren't they charged with aiding and abetting?
And then, of course, there's the question of Brian Sicknick, who we were told was murdered.
But Brian Sicknick should not be reduced to a prop for the political ambitions of the Democratic Party.
He was a human being.
The facts of his life matter, including how he died.
To this day, media accounts describe Sicknick as someone who was, quote, slain on January 6th.
The video we reviewed proves that is a lie.
Here is surveillance footage of Sicknick walking in the Capitol after he was supposedly murdered by the mob outside.
By all appearances, Sicknick is healthy and vigorous.
He's wearing a helmet, so it's hard to imagine he was killed by a head injury.
Whatever happened to Brian Sicknick was very obviously not the result of violence he suffered at the entrance to the Capitol.
This tape overturns the single most powerful and politically useful lie that Democrats have told us about January 6th.
And it was indeed a lie.
The January 6th committee knew perfectly well that Brian Sicknick was walking normally through the Capitol after he was supposedly murdered by Trump supporters.
And they know that because they saw this tape.
We shall continue.

There are people watching this right now who will say people who were born a boy and are living life as a girl are biologically different so it it places it places them in an unfair advantage.
My daughter will never go through male puberty.

But, you know, I think the president's speech was a good one, but not a great one.
DeSantis is laying the predicate for a presidential campaign.
He's not exactly running for president yet.
He understands that people need to know more about him.
And I thought his speech in California, and from what I heard, the speech is in Dallas and Houston.

There's a question about the man who magically disappeared from the FBI's wanted list.
He is, of course, Ray Epps.
And Tucker had some new evidence for us about Ray Epps yesterday.

Tonight we can tell you that at the very least, Ray Epps lied in his sworn testimony to the January 6th Committee.
Epps testified that when he sent the text messages to his nephew, he had already left the Capitol grounds to return to his hotel room.
That is not true.
The surveillance footage we found shows that in fact Ray Epps remained at the Capitol for at least another half an hour.
You're seeing that on your screen now.
What was Epps doing there?
We can't say, but we do know that he lied to investigators.
The January 6th committee likely knew this too.
Democrats had access to the same tape, yet they defended Ray Epps.
No honest investigation would do that.
But the point of the January 6th committee was never to investigate anything.
The point was to stage a made-for-TV show trial.
Yeah.
The shaman did nothing, gets 41 months.
Ray Epps, an instigator, disappears after lying to federal authorities.
What does it all mean?
Can there be justice in America?

We need to get Nancy Pelosi in front of our committee.
We need to get the leadership of the Capitol Police, which in my humble opinion, through all of my research, could have prevented this from taking place, but they didn't.
They completely ignored the intelligence.
So we need to get these individuals in front of our committees and ask serious questions.
And Ray Epps?
Ray Epps is a liar.
He should have been thrown in jail.
He should be in jail today.
But he's not.
He's not because I believe he had connections with the FBI.
At least, yes, I think that is clear.
You can't be on the FBI's most wanted list and then magically disappear unless you're working for the FBI.

These individuals are killing Americans by the thousands every month.
And what is this administration doing?
You think they would secure the southern border to try to slow the bleed to stop this, this craziness, but they have chosen not to do so.
And it's going to require us as Republicans to make solid decisions, make, you know, conservative legislation through the house of representatives.
So we can show the American people what true leadership is, how we put the American people first, And we've got to get the White House back in 24.

I would beg to differ.
It's not Trump's term.
That man, you listened to his speech at CPAC the other day.
He was right on target.

And some people even say he's a bully.
Well, maybe that's what we need in our country today.
Because when you show weakness, that's why Putin's in Ukraine, that's why the little rocket man is throwing missiles and toying and teasing with South Korea, and that's why you got Xi Jinping toying around with Taiwan.

So, um, I've been operating in a little bit of fear.
Since January 6, 2020, because I have some footage on my phone that would back up what I'm seeing now that's being released.
Describe what your footage shows.
It shows some odd characters with orange bands around their left arm, running up to instigate with police.
And as I'm facing, I guess that's their rotunda in the back of the Capitol.
Yeah.
And looking at the left side as you're facing the rotunda, and a line of police officers not letting anybody in the side door, but letting some funny-looking characters outside of that door, one of which got sprayed inadvertently with tear gas.
So I had some milk in my backpack, and I told the guy, take your shirt off, because it's cold out.
You're not going to want to wear it afterwards.
And I doused him with water, and then I doused him with milk.
And I noticed that when he was putting his shirt back on, that he had a tattoo on his left shoulder to send antifa all right stay stay stay on the line ted i want to know more uh let's uh jeff get uh ted's contact details i want to continue that discussion because that interests me let's go to columbus ohio marshall line two hey how's it going good well Enjoy your show, by the way.

A harder recession is possible.
I think there's a good chance that inflation will come down, but not enough by the fourth quarter.
The Fed may actually have to do more.
And I think a lot of things that have happened in the world, think of bigger trends, are inflationary.
You know, infrastructure spending, the IRA Act, lessening trade with certain parts of the world, bringing trade back into America.
Those things are all, the green transition is going to take a lot of capital.
So all those things kind of have inflationary attributes.

What is he going to mean for the rest of us?
How do we deal with this inflation?

Look, I'm good in terms of reconnecting with you, but I'm worried about what inflation is going to do for the millions of people listening to this show.
So we've got that headline from JP Morgan's Jamie Dimon.
We've got another one from CNBC.
This isn't, you know, some radical conservative outlet.
Consumer debt tie.
has hit a record of $16.9 trillion with increases in delinquencies as well.
So if you want some security, if you want some safety, what can people like KeyCity do for you?
Well, yeah, I mean, I think there's a false sense in the market right now.
You've got consumers who, by and large, were not around in the early 80s.
The last time we saw Inflation at the rate that it is and so what people need to be focused on right now is putting their capital, putting their money to work for them as hard as they are working for their dollars.
And that's one of the things that we do.
Obviously, we invest in cash-flowing real estate.
I love this phrase.
So I learned this from you.
Cash-flowing real estate.
So what you're talking about is not being a landlord, but it's real.
It's real estate.
It's not risky like the stock market.
So explain how this works, because if you want to get into this, you don't have to be a landlord, correct?
Well, correct somewhat.
You're still being a landlord, but you don't have to deal with that call at 2 a.m.
when the toilet's done.
When there's flooding in the basement, it's not your problem.
That's right.
That's my problem.
That's why we do what we do.
I got started 15 years ago building a portfolio, and I got to the point that I'd utilized the capital that I had and started bringing in other people to come in and partner alongside us.
You realize that economies of scale give you opportunities that, by yourself, you don't otherwise have.
And I always like to say, I would rather have 10% of a watermelon than 100% of a grape, because you diversify.
You diversify that way, you pull together resources, and when you pull together resources, you find economies of scale and Part of the resources is you invest alongside us, and you don't have to take that phone call.
We do it for you.
Cash flow is important.
Just think about it.
The value of a dollar is declining every day at a rampant rate.
If all you're doing is working for your dollars, you're turning around and spending those dollars as inflation goes up.
So you've got to start pairing that alongside cash flowing investments that deliver cash flow to you.
Unlike what we used to think about was the key to retirement is building a 401k with conservative slow growth mutual funds.
Well, the value of the dollar declined so fast that the growth of a mutual fund doesn't grow fast enough to cover what you're gonna need when you retire And so you need investments that both grow in value, but they also produce cash flow without having to sell the investment itself.
And more and more people are having to rent, which only makes this kind of investment more attractive, correct?
Correct.
That's what happens when you see inflation.
You know, I think in the article that you were talking about, about consumer debt, it was talking about mortgage debt and the drastic increase.
I think it's gone up, what, $1.3 trillion from a year ago.
And with that, you're going to see more and more people in a market like this move out of their mortgage and go to a nice place to live safe, secure place to live, but doesn't have the risk of having an AC go out and that be their responsibility on top of the mortgage, which is breathing down their throat in an inflationary market.
So you're going, what you see is typically the rentership market goes from 65% of the U.S. to about 70 to 72% of the U.S., depending on where you get your information from.
And so it's a huge opportunity for us right now.

I think it's a smart move.
It's preliminary to becoming a presidential candidate.
He recognizes people need to know more about what he's done in order to help prepare him for talking about what it is that he wants to do.
That's Karl Rove on Fox saying he's honored, honored to be mentioned amongst the likes of Paul Ryan in the president's speech at CPAC on Saturday.
What did President Trump say?
What does it bode for the future of the grand old party?
Well, these are actually his words.

We had a Republican Party that was ruled by freaks, neocons, globalists, open border zealots.
And fools.
But we are never going back to the party of Paul Ryan, Karl Rove, and Jeb Bush.

Is that the reality?
Is it possible?
Let's talk to a man who has been following presidential and domestic politics in general here in America for decades now.
He's a good friend to America First.
Lord Conrad Black, welcome back to the Salem News Channel.

Always a pleasure to be with you.
So, it looks like there's a little bit of infighting between various wings.
What do you think of the likelihood of the identity of the party finally changing in a direction away from the establishment?
Pretty good, I would say.
I think the two leading real or prospective candidates President Trump and Governor DeSantis are both really very easily distinguishable from the Bush, Romney, McCain, post-Reagan Republican Party.
I question President Trump's wisdom.
I rarely do this, but I question it in this case where he's Holding up DeSantis as a Reagan Republican.
I don't think that's something to be embarrassed about.
And I guess it's the best he can do, but I wouldn't do it if I were him.
I'd make my arguments that he was a he, Trump was a preferable candidate to DeSantis on another basis.
But I think that Republican Party between Reagan and Trump The Bush-McCain-Romney party, I think they did... basically, they failed.
And the Republican Party will not go back to them.
And President Trump repositioned the Republican Party, poaching upon the traditional Democratic fiefdoms in less advantaged areas, and particularly African-American, and Hispanic-American areas, and he did it by transporting traditional Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower capitalism, Republican capitalism,
into those districts with the tax-incentivized investments creating employment in those districts. into those districts with the tax-incentivized investments creating employment in And it was a stroke of genius.
He used traditional Republican capitalism to attack the Democratic stranglehold on African-American, Hispanic-American voters, unless the Republican Party has a collective IQ in a negative area.
I mean, less than zero.
They will not go back to what was there before that, because Trump gave them a winning formula.
And I believe, effectively, in that area, there's no difference between the views of President Trump and Governor DeSantis.
We have, this is, we're putting on the screen right now the famous CPAC straw poll that is held each year at the largest conservative convocation of its type.
We had all kinds of people speak from the main stage.
I spoke, Nikki Haley was there.
The President led DeSantis by more than 40 points.
DeSantis had 20 to President Trump's 62.
The third was Nikki Haley with 5 percentage points.
Sorry, no, it was... Sorry, it was 3%.
3% for Nikki Haley.
Is it strange?
Was it a bad move by the governor of Florida to not come and speak at the event and instead, as the news reports confirmed, to be at a very high-ticket private donor event for his campaign?
I'm not easily qualified to say that.
But in terms of optics, of having a... Well, look, I think he could have rescheduled, you know, a donor's dinner.
You know, you can hold them any night of the week, you know.
My guess is, since you ask, I'm being presumptuous here, because it's not for me to tell Governor Florida what to do, but since you asked me, I think he should have gone.
I think he should have given a speech that wasn't critical of Trump.
But just, you know, put a marker down saying, look, you know, you're not making a mistake if you vote for me.
I understand where your loyalties are.
I understand the history of this organization.
And I understand that I'm not necessarily first in the hearts of CPAC, but you have no problem with me.
You're not going to have a problem with me.
And I think you should have done that.
There was nothing to lose.
When it comes to the primary, and I'm excited to see as many potential candidates as possible, as it was with the 17 back in 2015.
Do you have a sense of what the identities will be, not the individuals, but is the dividing line, as it seems to be right now, between establishment, chamber of commerce type GOP politics and the new America first Trumpian politics? chamber of commerce type GOP politics and the new America Or is it more nuanced than that?
I think it's actually more consolidated towards a Trump and, you know, Trump.
If I can put it in an awkward way, post-pre-Trump Republican Party, I don't think anyone is running on the basis of, let's go back to, with all due respect to Karl Rove, and he was a very smart political operator, but let's not go back to Karl Rove and Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush.
Those were the three President Trump mentioned, I think.
I don't have any great grievance against those three, but they're passe.
And I don't think anyone wants to go back to that, and I don't think any of these candidates is standing on any such position.
There's no Bush, Romney, McCain candidate that I can see.
So I think Trump's won that battle.
I think what you have to use your word is a nuanced difference.
That is not so much on policy as on technique and personality.
Yes.
Between Trump and DeSantis.
Now, I hope it doesn't get too nasty, because the Republicans can't gain from that.
I mean, you know, there is always something to be said for President Reagan's famous statement, the 11th Commandment, is to speak no evil of a fellow Republican.
Well, you know, you don't have to go that far.
If there's a real dust-up between those two, I think the party, however it comes out, will put it back together in the end.
But let's not do it.
I mean, for heaven's sakes, the Republicans are perfectly poised to take back the entire government, both houses of Congress and the White House, in a year and a half.
And, you know, let's elevate the best candidate.
Now, I personally am in the Trump camp.
I think he was wrongfully deprived of his office.
It was a very effective president.
No president in history has been smeared into fame the way he was, and the people who did it committed crimes that they have so far not been called to account for.
I'm talking about the politicization of the intelligence agencies and the FBI and the Russia-Trump hoax.
I mean, I'm afraid we're not going to be able to convict anyone on the misuse of unverifiable harvested ballots, but for all of that, I think Trump deserves another chance.
But, you know, if DeSantis were the nominee, I'd prefer him to the Democrats, certainly.
And I think either one of them can win, and should win.

Or cabinet member.

In the old days, you had to find encyclopedias.
I've got a lot of books.
I've got thousands of books of my own, so I went into them as I went along.
But a lot of the basic stuff, just absolutely basic facts, not interpretive things, you can get from Googling.
Who do you like?
Who are some of your favorite historians?
Are you a fan of Toynbee?
No, I think he was dogmatic, pedantic, repetitive, probably anti-semitic.
You have to respect the volume of his work and his comprehensive knowledge of comparative history.
I like Eric Vogelin.
He's a more original thinker, I think, and a better writer, too.
Look, he was a prodigious intellect, but his theory is effectively that all these, first of all, he made all kinds of ramshackle, evanescent groupings into civilizations, which they weren't.
And secondly, he claims they all have a rise and a fall, and it's all just like the tide coming in and going out.
And that's not true, and I demonstrate in my book, by the way, that it isn't true.
You have to say something for Gibbon, but he was an atheist, and nothing wrong with that.
I mean, everyone's entitled to that, but he blames the fall of the Roman Empire and the Christians, which was false.
If Roman embraced Christianity earlier, they would have been able to repulse the barbarians.
But look, there are quite a few of them, and there have been some great historians, but a lot of them are myth-makers.
I'm breaking some new ground here.
You may think I'm talking through my hat, but all these people who heap excessive praise on the Greeks, in my opinion, are mistaken.
You have to doff your cap to Athens, and you have to doff your cap to all of them as warriors, as brave people.
But there were little states that were squabbling with each other, but they couldn't actually get anywhere until the Macedonians took them over.
I mean, Philip and Alexander knew how to rule, you know?
Yeah, I'm always surprised by people who talk about the great Greek civilization, and you look at it, and it's this fractured group of not even city-states, just island, mini-island states for the longest time.
And they couldn't do anything except make war with each other.
And they put all the great, except for Plato, they put all the great men to death.
They killed Demosthenes, they killed Socrates.

If Chuck Schumer were the chairman of News Corp, they would still be sitting in Adelaide, Australia losing money.
I mean, he couldn't run a two-car funeral, and Rupert Murdoch, whom I have known well for 40 years and had the challenging but bracing experience of competing with him in Britain and in Australia adequately successfully, I may say, is probably the greatest media proprietor and innovator in the history of the world.
And it does not lie in the mouth of Senator Schumer to tell him how to run his business.
And in the broader sense, of course, what he is urging, on a spurious invocation of what amounts to the partisan interests of the myth-makers and election-stealers of the Democratic Party, he's demanding censorship.
The voluntary censorship by the world's leading media owner because it would be an inconvenience to the Democrats and the myth-making that they have conducted in a defamatory and, in my opinion, at times, illegal way throughout the Trump era.
And exactly the reverse is what should happen.
The truth should come out, and obviously you can't run 40,000 hours of this stuff on primetime television, but a fair sampling of key moments to indicate precisely and fairly what really happened is what should be done, and I say that regardless of how it comes out.
Now, I've been convinced from that day itself there was no insurrection, no attempted one.
A bunch of hooligans attached themselves to a vast pro-Trump crowd, and the Speaker of the House and the Mayor of Washington declined the then-President's offer and urging that they reinforce security, and he offered 20,000 National Guardsmen I suspect, and I've always suspected, that Pelosi was in effect hoping for some such thing as occurred, and did what she could to facilitate it.
I don't think she planned it, but I think she saw the potential for it.
And so did the other Democratic strategists, and they used it to produce this absolutely spurious and defamatory argument that Trump was trying to promote an insurrection because he wouldn't accept the election result.
That tells the truth and proves the truth about what really happened I'm in favor of, and I happen to believe that the truth is that the Pelosi version of events is a pack of lies from A to Z, and that President Trump, who could have handled it better, was innocent, completely innocent, of any charge of promoting unconstitutional or illegal activity.
Now, we were shown yesterday the footage of the man who was made an example of, the so-called January 6th shaman, being escorted through Congress at times by up to nine, nine members of the Capitol Police who helped him go through doors, opened doors for him, did nothing to restrain him.
A man who didn't cause bodily or physical harm to any material or individuals inside the building.
That individual was given 41 months prison term in a federal penitentiary.
What should happen now if Americans believe in rule of law now that we know this man committed no crime or at least wasn't arrested by the officers who escorted him through the building, Lord Black?
Well, he may conceivably be guilty of trespassing, but he should be released for time served at once.
I mean, as far as I know, he was a pretty scary-looking guy, but you can't send people to prison for 41 months for that.
But as far as I know, he did absolutely no damage, no harm to anyone.
So the sentence is an outrage.
The whole thing is an outrage.
In my opinion, unless we can Unless there's real evidence connecting people to serious offenses, everybody should be released.
Much talk has been made in the last 18 hours of commutations and pardons if there is a Republican president back in the White House.
That depends on what happens in the next 18 months.
It's another 18 months, so none of these people, as far as I can see, committed an offense of anything like that length.
But, I mean, justifying such a sentence, I mean, what I'd like to see, apart from all of what we've just been speaking of, is a proper explanation of how that young lady was killed.
Yeah.
I mean, the only direct fatality, I'm not talking about the man who took a coronary who, according to the New York Times, was hit over the head with a pipe or something.
But the young lady was killed.
I mean, fine, she shouldn't have been there.
But apart from that, she didn't do anything else.
You don't kill people for that.
How did that happen?
Shot through a door by an officer called Michael Bird, who has confessed he couldn't see who he was shooting at.
That's what he did to a 14-year-old.

And thanks to Tucker Carlson, we know that Officer Sicknick, likewise, wasn't assaulted with a fire extinguisher yesterday.

That was President Trump talking about his future China policies, which of course Build upon what he did in his first four years in the White House.
What does it all mean for America?
How much of it is actually possible?
I'll say one thing.
I'm super excited that he also called out from the floor Gordon Chang to recognize him.
Another person whose opinion we highly regard and we call upon when we need to understand what is happening in Beijing is the man behind the Spengler column at the Asia Times.
He's our good friend, David P. Goldman.
David, welcome back to America First.
Sebastian, an honor and a privilege to spend time with you, sir.
So, were you excited to hear a robust China policy be delivered or at least hinted at from the stage at CPAC?
Is it finally time to take seriously the threat posed by this nation?
Well, hinted at is a better word, Sebastian, because the practical requirements of replacing China, which is shipping more to us now than it ever has before are daunting.
It's not impossible.
And we could do a great deal in four years, as President Trump said.
But it would really take an old country mobilization and a radical break from the policies of the past.
So it's surely possible, but it's extremely difficult.
And I think it would involve a change in the way we do many things.
Just one example.
We now have nearly 1 million industrial, that is factory jobs, advertised that we can't fill, despite the fact that only, what, 63-64% of our adult male population is working.
We can't find people to take the jobs, even though wages have been going up.
And we've got to fix that problem, and we've got to find the capital To produce the new industries that will dominate industrial productivity.
So it's a big task.
I want to go into the deep dive of how we could do this, what could be done in a four-year presidential term, because if President Trump is re-elected he would only be able to serve one more term as the Chief Executive.
But let's take a snapshot, let's stop and look at what has happened since he left office.
So we had those very robust sanctions, or rather those trade embargo restrictions and those tariffs.
But since then, there's been a war in Europe.
It rages on today in Ukraine.
That has changed the flow of materials, the flow of energy.
We look at the limits on natural resources China constantly has, their need of energy from elsewhere.
How has the relative geopolitical dynamic changed for the worse or for the better for Beijing since the Biden administration came in and specifically in the last year of the Ukrainian war?
I believe that China has had a plan for world economic dominance for the past 10 years.
It It's been spelled out in detail.
You could read it years ago on Huawei's own website.
Huawei being the giant telecommunications company.
I spent several days in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress, where Huawei had five times the floor space of any other provider.
And I spoke to their people.
They're quite clear and quite proud of what they're doing.
China's objective is to enfold into its economic system another two billion people from the global South, make them in fact adjuncts to the Chinese economy, starting with Southeast Asia, but including parts of Africa, Latin America, and elsewhere.
And they are well along to doing it.
China now exports more to the global South, that is to developing countries, than it does to the United States, Europe, and Japan combined.
It is creating not so much a replacement to our global trading economic system, but a parallel system under its own wing.
And it's doing it at astonishing speed.
China, in a sense, is decoupling from us.
In 2007, exports to the United States were 9% of China's GDP.
Last year, they were 2%.
Their exports to Asia are far more important.
So we're looking at an economic behemoth developing driven by digital technology aiming to dominate the new technologies of the so-called fourth industrial revolution and leave us eating their dust.
And then how does the war in Ukraine factor into all of this?
There's much been written in the last few weeks about this new axis between Beijing and Moscow, and this is the new problem.
And before that, there was lots of talk of, well, the lack of success for Putin, the fact that a nation ranked 22nd in the world militarily has kept Putin at bay, who was ranked second in the world for so many months, means that Beijing is thinking twice China never has fought for anything that it believes it can get without fighting.
And I don't believe China wants to have a war over Taiwan.

but russia's uh set the sanctions that we placed on russia have of course made russia enormously dependent on china and a whole web of due trading relationships has arisen as you said out of the ukraine war to start with uh china's China and India are the beneficiaries of big discounts on Russia, oil, Russian oil and gas.
So Russia has shifted its Energy exports to the east, away from Western Europe, and at the same time, there's been an enormous substitution of European goods for Chinese goods in Russia.
You can't buy a Fiat or a Mercedes in Moscow, but you can buy a dozen brands of Chinese cars.
So Chinese exports to Russia, both directly and indirectly, have jumped, and a lot of countries, like Turkey, Have made very good money by acting as intermediaries for China.
And the idea of a Moscow-Beijing access, is that pie in the sky?
Are these people really friends, or are these just strange bedfellows out of convenience because of the current situation in Ukraine?
Well, it's convenience, but it's a very powerful kind of convenience, because if Russia is treated as a pariah state whose leaders are accused of war crimes, and in the case of failure, face a Nuremberg tribunal, They will do everything in their power, including make enormous concessions to Chadha, no matter how much they dislike Chadha, in order to survive.
So yes, it's convenience, but it's a very compelling kind of convenience.
Survival is a kind of convenience, but a very special one.
But how do they look at each other?
I mean, you've written the book, You Will Be Assimilated, so this is your tome on China's plan to Sino-form the world.
Russia is just another nation they wish to have as a tributary.
They wish to have pole position, correct?
Remember that Russia graduates more engineers each year than we do in absolute numbers, and they're good.
Maybe 10% of them have emigrated because of their distaste for Putin's war, but 90% are still there.
A third of Russian students study engineering.
So Russia represents an enormous pool of technological talent, especially in the military sphere.
Russia has hypersonic missiles that can shoot nuclear weapons from a submarine.
That's the Zircon.
That means being able to hit the United States in about two minutes from a submarine lurking a hundred miles off the American coast.
The Chinese buy a lot of Russian weapons, get a lot of Russian technology, and ultimately, by enfolding Russia into their sphere, they get two big advantages.
One is overland delivery of energy, which we can't interdict.
And the second is an enormous talent pool, especially for their military industries.
So there are huge advantages to China.
Some people think China wants to take over Siberia as well.
I'm not sure that's as important as the other two that I mentioned.

All right, so we've talked about the last year and the last two years of the Biden administration.
Let's stop for a second and help up millions of listeners, David, understand the challenge to China.
Yes, it's a dictatorial regime.
Yes, it's the largest communist regime in the world.
But it has certain weaknesses, especially when it comes to Raw materials and also the long-term consequences of its one-child policy.
So is this a nation to be feared greatly or is it a nation that has some very serious internal problems?
Give us your diagnosis.
Well, I'm very afraid.
Think of China as a country with 2.2 or 2.3 billion people, not the 1.4 billion reported, because if China continues to integrate the 700 million people of Southeast Asia, the 150 million people of Bangladesh, and others into its economic sphere, the effective economically active population of China will increase by 60 or 70%.
That's the Chinese plan.
The other thing which we need to be afraid of is the rate at which China is carrying out the fourth industrial revolution.
The combination of telecommunications, 5G broadband, and artificial intelligence is as big as the introduction of the steam engine and the railroad.
It promises spectacular results for productivity.
Now, people from Huawei told me in Barcelona that they have already set up 10,000 Dedicated business networks to realize this fourth industrial revolution productivity that compares to fewer than 200 outside shop 60% 6,000 of those networks are manufacturing plants.
John is the biggest user of robotics in the world, biggest buyer of industrial robots, and the biggest producer of engineering graduates.
So the combination of the new technology and the enormous number of Engineers that China's producing raises the possibility that China will dominate manufacturing for the next 50 years.
The United States has not done very much in this.
And although I applaud president Trump for setting forth an ambitious goal, we have to realize that we have a competitor, which has been planning this for years from the top has a lot of smart and hard working people, and it's not going to quit easily.
And then what about the... I watched a fascinating presentation recently on the fact that 70% of the energy that China needs comes through one naval passage.
So if there were some kind of military action in Taiwan, the straits could be blocked by the U.S.
and which would put a kind of stranglehold on the huge amounts of fossil fuel this nation needs every single day.
So how vulnerable is China?
Well, in terms of BTUs, China produces 85% of its own energy.
That compares to virtually zero for Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
So if there were a cutoff of energy, the whole Asian economy would shut down.
Japan, Taiwan and Korea would effectively cease to exist in a matter of a few weeks.
China would limp through.
One reason that China is Working with Russia to build as much overland oil and gas capacity as it can is to get around the possibility of American interdiction, which is a weakness.
China's economy would in some sense survive simply because they have so much coal and nuclear and other power, hydro, to power electricity.
That they could limp by, but of course the interdiction of oil would be a terrible blow to their economy, without any doubt.
But that would be a painful transition, wouldn't it?
To go from fossil fuels to coal wouldn't happen overnight, would it, David?
Yes, though it would be a real painful transition, and the transition from having a modern economy to the Stone Age would occur in a matter of three weeks in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and elsewhere.
It would be a global catastrophe for the world economy that would not go unfelt here.
So it's something we would do in extremis and have horrible consequences for the whole world.

All right, so you helped us understand, David, the internal situation.
Oh, let me ask a political one, beyond the economics, the resources.
With Xi Jinping making himself emperor for life, that he's now the leader until he dies, Does that mean that in addition to there being no external challenges with the suppression of the Uyghur Muslims, the suppression of the Falun Gong, it looks as if he's also managed to suppress any challenges to him inside the Central Committee, inside the Politburo.
Is that true or are there any nascent signs that this man may not have the stranglehold he thinks he does?
The emperor of China, as I think you'd probably call Xi Jinping, has a job which is only as secure as that of the capo di tutti capi.
He's got to make sure that people get paid and that the underbosses don't spend too much time killing each other.
He's got an enormous challenge.
China managed to move 600 million people from countryside to city and make subsistence farmers into industrial workers.
They became the largest industrial and trading power in the world.
But now they have an aging population.
They have an enormous, if you look at our pension and healthcare deficit, China's is many times worse.
So they need an enormous boost in productivity and that's their single-minded focus.
If Xi Jinping fails, no, he will be out.
This is a collective leadership, ultimately, and the emperor is only as good as his last success.
Remember, The Chinese reforms post-1979, which produced this great industrial power, also produced vast amounts of corruption, entrenched regional interests, nepotism, and so forth.
And Xi Jinping represented himself as the clean guy who's going to come with a new broom and sweep away all of this corrupt underlayer of Chinese leadership.
And if he doesn't succeed, no, I think he'll be in very deep trouble.
I think he's got a few years of probation in order to do it, but the formality of being effectively leader for life doesn't work if you don't lead effectively.
Now, for the Soviet Union, the problem was the discrepancy between that which was promised and that which could be produced, and then the unleashing by Gorbachev of Glasnost and Perestroika, which led to a certain, not deregulation, but a capacity to talk about things that were otherwise Well, Xi has been smart.
In China, is there ever a danger of that?
How much is corruption and the lack of being able to provide nominal amounts of prosperity across the board a threat to the incumbent regime?
How much will suppression have to be used for the people in power to stay in power?
Well, Xi has been smart.
The lockdowns on COVID produced vibrant protests.
The students of China's elite universities rose up against them in disgust.
And Xi, who has spent a career putting himself in front of the parade, declared himself the advocate of the protesters and used that to retire an entire generation of Communist Party elders, such as Li Ka-shing, the former economic czar who gave his last political speech ever in an official capacity.
at the National People's Congress this week.
So she has used social pressures to advance his agenda.
There is talk, there are documents circulating in the State Council with the slogan, small government, big society.
She's argument now, what he's pitching, is to reduce the amount of governmental control at the provincial and prefectural level while increasing it at the national level.
He wants to represent himself as the advocate of more free initiative by society, but through a top-down reduction of local government bureaucracy.
That will be an interesting maneuver to pull off.
My view is China needs more democracy.
It needs more of a civil society.
It needs a more private enterprise.
Whether Xi will allow that or tolerate it, I don't know.
I'm not particularly confident he will.

Because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills.
Because that challenge is one that we're willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others too.
I just love the guy in the background chomping on a massive cigar.
That was JFK at Rice University declaring, We will go to the moon!
He sadly did not live to see it, but by the end of the decade, America had done it.
And by the way, we're still the only nation to have ever done it.

I play that clip because I listen to my friend, I pay attention to him, and he's been saying this since I was in the White House, that we need a new Rice University speech from a president who's prepared to reinvigorate the American industrial base.
And I think he's on the show.
David P. Goldman, what would be the content, what would be the objective of a new Rice University speech in 2024, given the rise of China and what's happened to domestic capabilities here in the United States?
It's all about the will and the capability of the American people.
Right now, we graduate more journalists than engineers from American universities.
About 5% or so study engineering.
That's against a third in China and Russia.
We can't find engineers, so we have to recruit them from China and India.
And most of the most talented people we have go into the software business, not into manufacturing.
I believe we need a push from the top, an inspirational president like JFK, who'll point to the moon and say, we are going there, create a great task, or like Ronald Reagan did with a strategic defense initiative, the defense of the homeland, which we've completely neglected, should be a top priority.
China has five or six times the number of engineering graduates we have, but it's not numbers.
And will.
We have to have a great national goal before us and use that to drive changes in technology, changes in our understanding of the universe, in a way that will radiate through the economy and transform American manufacturing.
It's always been a top-down thing.
It's always been war, or Cold War, or the space program, which has given us the technologies which have made us the wonder of the world.
Until now.
And when you look at the state of domestic production, manufacturing, how long would this take, David?
Because for nigh on 40, 50 years, we've been outsourcing these jobs, even the most pedestrian ones, nothing to do with the space program, just, you know, manufacturing steel production, for example.
What kind of a timeline are we having to prepare for?
There are a lot of things we could do very quickly.
For example, flexible manufacturing, using computer-aided design and manufacturing, can substitute for a lot of things extremely quickly.
We have to train the people.
Right now, we take unsuspecting high school graduates, load them up with $100,000 in debt, give them a degree in basket weaving, and they find they can't afford an apartment.
We should take our community college system and do what the Germans and the Swedes and the Swiss do.
Take kids who don't particularly want to be academics and give them top-notch skills in manufacturing and computer science and put them into the workforce.
We've got a million manufacturing jobs we can't fill right now.
There are a lot of skills that go begging because we're not training the people.
So we don't only need to train engineers And how is China going to react if we take these measures?
What would your expectation be?
China is going all out with what it can.
It's not an efficient system.
the 80 to $100,000 range at the top level of skills.
That's what a German order worker makes, 70 or 80 thousand dollars a year.

Any top-down system using state allocation will be inefficient, but they work hard and they're investing in a lot of the right things.
They're focusing single-mindedly on artificial intelligence, telecommunications, the fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, which we have neglected.
And I have no doubt, if you go back to World War II, we were in the Great Depression in 1939.
By 1943, we had tripled the size of the economy.
In America, when it gets going, it gets going very fast and on a scale that stupefies our opponents.
And when you look at the mutual reliance, who needs which nation more?
Does China need us more than them or is it the other way around?
Well, that's a hard question to answer because China certainly does not have all the technologies that we do.
For example, The equipment that manufactures semiconductors and designs them, we have critical technologies which would take them years to develop.
On the other hand, in terms of industrial goods, we are hugely dependent on China.
We're importing, what, half a billion dollars a year of industrial goods from China.
Our manufacturing GDP is about 2.4 trillion, so that's like, you know, a fifth to a quarter of our manufacturing GDP.
As President Trump proposed, we could replace that, but only by an enormous shift in the way we train people, in the way we incentivize investment, the way we subsidize it.
It would take an all-country enormous effort to do that.
But it's like going to the moon.
Exactly.

Not impossible.
But we did it in an age before the modern computer.
In an age where they didn't even have the computing power that this cell phone I have in my hand has.

Okay, the last thing that we haven't mentioned, which is kind of surreal given The last three years, and especially the revelations concerning Dr. Fauci of the last 48 hours, is COVID, the ramifications of what went on in Wuhan.
How does what happened in the last three years factor into the rise of China?
Will nations be less willing because of their seeding the world with those who were infected?
Will there be a need for Beijing to do a mea culpa despite being a communist dictatorship?
So does a wrench, has a spanner been thrown into the works because of COVID for the plans of domination from the CCP?
Well, it depends on whom you talk to.
I think in the industry... I'm talking to David P. Goldman.
That's who I'm talking to.
In the democratic world, there's going to be a lot of rancor.
The likeliest scenario is that the Wuhan virus came out of an incompetent Chinese lab doing research paid for by Dr. Fauci and his friends in gain of function for a deadly virus.
So we've got some wood to chop or people to chop up in the United States.
In response to that, China's main orientation now is towards the Six billion people of the Global South.
It wants to dominate and absorb, as I said, assimilate into its economic system the 700 million people of Southeast Asia, several hundred million people in South Asia, Brazil, Mexico, and so forth, and it's making great strides to doing that.
The people of those countries are much more concerned about getting basic telecommunication services, health services, and other things Which China is helping them to get, and they're less concerned about who to blame for the virus than what they're going to get tomorrow.
We have neglected that.
That's something where we should challenge China and compete with them toe to toe.
We've left that field open to them, and that's very dangerous because we can't afford to ignore two or three billion people as potential economic adjuncts of the Chinese system.
The first thing that the next president has to do day one in office when it comes to China, where does he begin?
He has to start by taking away China's leadership in fourth industrial revolution technologies.
Every one of these things was developed in the oddest age.
We invented the cell phone, we invented the computer, we invented artificial intelligence.
China's taken these things and run with them.
We need a program that establishes our technological dominance in these areas and our control over the major industrial applications, which China is fighting for.
Sounds like a plan to me, and hopefully he will have read the book.
