Time Text
Are we going to have consequences from solar and wind?
The idea is that renewables are better for the environment, but it turns out that they take 300 to 400 times more land from solar panels than from a nuclear or natural gas plant.
It's about 300 times more waste from solar panels as from nuclear.
All of that additional materials, as soon as you remove them from your roof, they become hazardous waste.
They're supposed to be especially processed, but everybody knows that if they required people to properly dispose of their hazardous used solar panels that the cost of solar would be significantly higher.
Wind is incredibly ecologically destructive.
They've actually given permission to wind turbines to kill California condors.
You go industrialize the ocean, you've got to build big pieces of infrastructure in the middle of the ocean where there's sea life, there's whales.
I mean, if you care about the environment, you should always be looking for ways to use less of it.
Less land, less materials, less mining.
You're going to produce less waste.
It's really the opposite of what you would do if you cared about the natural environment.
