Crime is normal in San Francisco.
Every day, all we hear is crime.
Car blurgers, they're telling tourists not to rent cars.
And that's not the right message that we should be sending out because you're telling people in Union Square, don't drive there because if you go shopping, you can potentially get robbed.
Chances of that are high.
That's pretty much saying, don't come to San Francisco.
Because you will get robbed one way or not.
I started an employee manual and burglaries or handling theft wasn't a part of the handbook.
And now it has to be part of the handbook.
So when we train new employees, we have to tell them, this is what can potentially happen.
This is what you do if and when that happens.
That's just sad when you're putting together an employee handbook.
As a native San Franciscan, it's very disappointing to see this.
Relatives, friends will call me outside of San Francisco.
They say, is this real? |
