Good evening.
Four days ago, the Pentagon came out and officially confirmed that a leaked video which showed a pyramid-shaped UFO flying around was actually authentic.
Now, over in Arizona, it was just announced that later this week they will begin a major audit of 2.1 million ballots from the 2020 presidential election.
Meanwhile, President Trump has been fairly active recently, issuing four political endorsements as well as giving his opinion on the future of Congress.
And lastly, as the crisis on the U.S. southern border intensifies, the Biden administration has a new proposal, sending cash payments directly to Central America.
Let's go through these stories together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
Now let's start today's discussion over in Arizona.
Now, if you remember, last month, which is March, the State Senate of Arizona, which is controlled by Republicans, announced that they will conduct a broad and detailed audit of the 2020 presidential election, saying that they are going to be testing the voting machines, scanning the ballots, looking for electronic breaches, as well as performing a hand recount.
And now it looks like they are almost ready to start.
The president of the Arizona State Senate, she told media that they will officially begin the audit later this week, likely on Thursday.
However, she also said that just to get to this point, where they are almost ready to begin the audit, was a very bumpy process.
In fact, she said that the state's Republicans faced sabotage from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, which hindered the process.
Here's what she said.
The Maricopa Board of Supervisors has refused to allow us to perform the audit at their facilities and has gone so far as to refusing to even answer simple questions, such as how are the ballots sequestered.
It's taken the Senate two and a half months to win in court to uphold our right to issue subpoenas for election materials and another six weeks of researching to select the audit team to perform the full forensic process.
Now, as she mentioned in her statement, because the county actually refused to let the Senate use their space to use their facilities, she had to go out and rent the Memorial Coliseum over in Phoenix, Arizona, in order to conduct this audit, which is now scheduled to begin on April the 22nd, which is this upcoming Thursday.
Furthermore, she said that there will be both physical as well as live stream security on site.
Now, as to the purpose of this audit, she says that it's not about overturning the election, but rather about making future elections more secure.
Here's what she said.
However, if you would like to read more about this audit that's about to get underway out in Arizona, the link to that will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And by the way, that is that same little description box that is right below that like button that I hope you take a moment to smash.
Because videos that are like this, talking honestly about what is happening in this world without spinning the facts, are routinely censored, they're sometimes outright removed, or they're throttled by big tech giants like YouTube.
However, when you smash that like button that's below this video, you are forcing the YouTube algorithm to share this video out to potentially thousands of more people, letting the truth be known far and wide.
And now let's talk a bit about President Trump, specifically about what he's been up to over the last several weeks.
Now, over this past weekend, I was actually thinking about it myself, and it suddenly dawned on me that people in America generally have no idea what President Trump is actually doing.
That's because he is no longer allowed on Twitter, he's not on Facebook, he's not allowed on YouTube, even interviews of him are not allowed on YouTube, and the legacy media outlets are not generally covering what he's doing, or when they do cover what he's doing, generally it's spun to the point where it's hard to separate facts from opinions.
And so, together, let's go through some of the statements and actions that President Trump has taken over the last several days and weeks.
To start with, President Trump has criticized Joe Biden's decision to keep American troops in Afghanistan past the deadline that was originally negotiated by the Trump administration.
For your reference, by the way, the original deadline to have the troops out of Afghanistan was May 1st, so it was in about two weeks.
But Joe Biden moved that deadline to September 11th.
Here's what President Trump said as a statement.
I wish Joe Biden wouldn't use September 11th as the day to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan for two reasons.
First, we can and should get out earlier.
19 years is enough, in fact.
Far too much and way too long.
And then secondly, President Trump said that September 11th is a sad day for our country.
It's a day of reflection as well as remembrance rather than a day of celebration.
Then he added this.
Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do.
I plan to withdraw on May 1st and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible.
Now, on the flip side, Joe Biden defended his personal decision to move the withdrawal date by saying that he did not want to be hasty.
Here's what he said.
We will not conduct a hasty rush to the exit.
We'll do it responsibly, deliberately, and safely.
And the Taliban should know that if they attack us as we draw down, we will defend ourselves and our partners with all the tools at our disposal.
Now, besides this statement, President Trump has also been offering a string of political endorsements over the last several days.
These include...
Endorsing Senator Marco Rubio for reelection over in Florida, where President Trump said that Marco will never let the people of Florida or this country down.
Second of all, President Trump endorsed Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky for reelection, saying that Rand Paul has done a fantastic job for our country and for the incredible people of Kentucky.
He fights against the swamp in Washington, the radical left liberals, and especially the destructive rhinos, of which there are far too many in Congress.
Thirdly, President Trump endorsed Senator Ron Johnson for a third term in the Senate, saying that he is brave, he is bold, he loves our country, our military, and our vets.
He will protect our Second Amendment and everything else we stand for.
And lastly, President Trump endorsed Frank Ethern in his re-election efforts as the chairman of the Republican Party out in Wyoming.
Of him, here's what President Trump said.
Now, besides those four endorsements, President Trump also made a statement during a speech in which he predicted that the Republican Party will actually President Trump also made a statement during a speech in which he predicted that the Republican Party will actually retake Congress in Here's what he said as part of that statement.
I stand before you this evening filled with confidence that in 2022, we are going to take back the House and we are going to reclaim the Senate.
And then in 2024, a Republican candidate is going to win the White House.
Now, to give you a bit of context, as you might already know, the U.S. Senate is currently split evenly, 50-50, between the Democrats and the Republicans.
Although, among the Democrats, there are some independents like Bernie Sanders, but they generally vote together as a bloc so you can say Democrats and Republicans.
So if even one seat were to flip, that would be a Republican majority.
Although that does not take into account the possibility of Washington, D.C. becoming a state, which is something that Democrats have begun to recently push again.
So we'll have to see how that goes.
Now in terms of the House, the Democrat majority there is very slim.
And in fact, it just got slimmer.
That's because five days ago, after a special election out in Louisiana, which saw a Republican victory, another Republican House member was just sworn in last Wednesday.
That shrunk the Democrat majority in the U.S. House to just six seats.
There are only six more Democrats than Republicans in the House right now.
So that is a razor-thin margin.
And with margins like that, it might be understandable why President Trump is so confident that Congress might in fact flip in 2022.
Now, if you'd like to read more about these endorsements or about what President Trump has been up to generally over the last several weeks and months, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now, before we talk about that leaked video of a pyramid-shaped UFO, I would like to take a quick moment to introduce our sponsor for today's episode, and I will do so from the sound booth.
That's right.
The sponsor of today's episode is American Hartford Gold, which is a company run by Patriots.
That's why they sponsor a program like ours.
And actually, they're also my personal gold and silver bullion dealer.
I just got my recent order from them in the mail.
Now, if you are worried about the economic situation in America, with these trillions of dollars in stimulus packages, these trillions amounts of dollars that the Fed has pumped into our economy by buying up all these assets, or our national debt ballooning to what it has and seemingly no one talking about it...
Well, so am I. And by the way, I don't give you any financial advice, but I'll tell you what I do.
And for the last four and a half years, I've been buying up physical gold and silver every single month.
Just every single month, I allocate a portion of my salary to buying physical gold, like this gold one ounce coin or this silver 10 ounce bar.
I don't know if you can see it.
It's quite beautiful.
That's what I do.
I buy it, and I believe it's probably one of the best hedges against inflation that you can get.
It had value 5,000 years ago, it has value today, and it'll have value, in my opinion, well into the future.
Now, American Heart for Gold is a great company.
They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
They have just super, super friendly customer service staff, so when you call them, they'll answer all your questions, they'll help you out, and also their waiting music is actually a speech from Ronald Reagan, which is very cool, I think.
And they have some of the best rates out there in the market in terms of gold and silver.
So if you want to check them out, the link will be in the description box below this video.
And actually, right now, they're offering a special where depending on how much you buy, they'll actually throw in $1,500 of free silver into your order.
So that's great.
So you can either click on the link in the description box below or you can call 866- And now, let's talk about UFOs.
Last week, several photos as well as a video were leaked to the public which appeared to show an unidentified flying object.
Take a look.
What it shows is a night vision video, which has a pyramid-shaped object flying about at a constant speed with a blinking light pulsating on it irregularly.
Now, not only is that video very interesting, but it was also just confirmed by the Pentagon to be authentic.
Here's what a Pentagon spokesperson told Media.
I can confirm that the reference photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel.
The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force has included these incidents in their ongoing examinations.
Now, as for the reason why the Pentagon doesn't generally release this type of footage to the public themselves, here's what the spokesperson said.
As we have said before, to maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, Department of Defense does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace.
Now, during those comments, she did not elaborate any further on anything that the Pentagon might know about this pyramid-shaped object.
However, perhaps in the very near future, in the next few months, we will get more details about these UFOs, since in June, so about two months from now, the Senate is due to receive a report on UFOs from the Pentagon that they might or might not share with the rest of us, with the public here in America.
Now, if you would like to watch this video for yourself of this pyramid-shaped object flying about, the link to that will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now, let's talk a little bit about the minimum wage.
Over in Long Beach City, which is in California, the city council there recently introduced a new law called HeroPay, which increased the minimum wage by $4 per hour for people who work either at pharmacies or at large retail shops.
However, unfortunately, the move had some unintended consequences.
That's because two days ago, Kroger announced that they were forced to shut down two of their stores in Long Beach.
Why?
Well, here's what they said.
As a result of the city of Long Beach's decision to pass an ordinance mandating extra pay for grocery workers, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close long struggling store locations in Long Beach.
This decision, by the way, to close these stores in Long Beach came on the heels of a similar announcement that Kroger made last month when they had to shut down three stores over in Los Angeles.
That decision came right after Los Angeles introduced similar HeroPay and forced stores over there to pay their workers $5 more per hour.
When announcing that decision over in Los Angeles, here's what Kroger said: "The hero pay mandate in Los Angeles will add an additional $20 million in operating costs over the next 120 days, making it financially unsustainable to continue operating the three underperforming locations.
Despite our efforts to overcome the challenges we were already facing at these locations, the extra pay mandate makes it impossible to run a financially sustainable business." Now take a moment and really imagine this for a moment.
The city passes something called HeroPay, which increases the minimum wage so that workers can get paid more.
However, this added burden to the businesses forces the shops to close down altogether, and now the workers, who were supposed to get more pay, are now paid nothing, and they're out of a job.
And what does the city of Los Angeles, what does the city council there do?
Well, last week, two city council members introduced a motion to investigate Kroger.
They want to investigate their decision to close several of their shops in the city.
Here's what part of that motion said.
The city has an interest in considering whether it should take legislative action to address these closures and potentially future closures of other grocery stores, especially in areas of the city that are commonly known as food deserts.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we reached out to Kroger for comment on this matter, but we have yet to hear back.
Regardless, if you would like to read more about this HeroPay initiative over in California, the link to that will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's talk a bit about the U.S. southern border.
Specifically, let's talk about the fact that for the first time since taking office, Joe Biden has called what's happening over at the U.S. southern border a crisis.
During an exchange with a reporter, here's what he said.
The problem was that the refugee part was working on the crisis that ended up on the border with young people.
We couldn't do two things at once, but now we are going to increase the number.
Now what he's referring to there is the number of refugees who will be allowed into the United States of America.
During the Trump administration, the cap was set at 15,000.
And so the United States would only accept 15,000 refugees per year.
However, it looks like Joe Biden will be increasing that number very soon.
And besides that, there is another option on the table.
According to the Southern Border Coordinator over at the White House, the Biden administration is considering just sending cash payments to Central America countries in order to control migration.
Now, this coordinator did not specify which exact entities in those Central American countries would receive the money, but she did mention that the money would be aimed at people from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
Here's what she said as part of a statement.
We're looking at all the productive options to address both the economic reasons people may be migrating, as well as the protection and security reasons.
Now, she didn't exactly explain how such a program would actually work, but she said that they will not be handing out checks directly to people.
Here's what she said.
Now, just as an aside, Ms.
Jacobson, who is the official in the White House making these statements, she also announced that she will actually be leaving the White House at the end of this month.
Now, Kevin McCarthy, who is the House Minority Leader, he disapproved of the idea of sending cash transfers, saying that...
Now, whether these cash payments are the correct solution or not, politicians from across the aisle agree that something has to be done with the crisis at the U.S. southern border.
That's because, among many other reasons, it was just reported that the number of detained, unaccompanied minors over at the border is over 20,000.
There are over 20,000 children, mostly from Central America, who are currently being held in facilities operated by the Health and Human Services Department.
Now, by the way, besides the humanitarian issue involved here, the cost to us, the American taxpayers, is at least $60 million per week, which is equivalent to $3.1 billion per year.
Also, it's worth noting that most of these children have crossed the border illegally within the last two months.
Now, the way that it works, by the way, is that these kids are initially housed at Border Patrol facilities before being transferred over to facilities being run by the Health and Human Services Department.
And in terms of what the conditions for these kids are at these border facilities, well, take a look at this video.
This video was released by House Republican Steve Scalise, and it shows unaccompanied children being housed in a Border Patrol facility in Texas.
When describing the contents of that video, here's what Mr.
Now, if you would like to read more about the crisis over at the U.S. southern border, or if you would like to read more about the Biden administration's plan to potentially or if you would like to read more about the Biden administration's plan to potentially send cash transfers over to Central America, those links will be in the description box below this video
And now lastly, as we already discussed in several other episodes, on the very same day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, YouTube made the unilateral decision to demonetize our program.
We can now no longer run any ads before, during, or after our episodes, and the Super Chat feature has just been disabled.
They essentially are trying to snuff out our independent journalism by demonetizing us.
