Trump Launches New Personal Website; Supreme Court Rules on Hillary Clinton | Facts Matter
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Good evening.
Two days ago, the Supreme Court rejected a request which would have required Hillary Clinton to testify under oath regarding her use of a private email server.
It looks like now we will not know what actually happened.
Meanwhile, researchers here at the Epoch Times, we uncovered a speech which was given by a leading Chinese professor who was actually an advisor to the Chinese Communist Party, and in that speech, which by the way was given five years ago, he laid out a comprehensive plan for China to overtake America.
Including, among many other things, manipulating our elections.
Now, in other news, the Biden administration has just announced that they are working alongside the private sector to develop a system for Americans to prove that they have been vaccinated.
And along that line, New York became the first state in the entire country to have a COVID vaccine passport.
Basically, it's an app on your phone which has your information on it.
However, states like Florida are saying that they will not even entertain the idea.
And lastly, President Trump has just launched a new personal website dedicated to preserving his legacy as well as to advancing his agenda.
Let's go through these stories together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
Now let's start today's discussion by talking a bit about Hillary Clinton.
Two days ago, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a request which would have required Hillary Clinton to testify under oath regarding her use of a private email server.
Now, in case you forgot all about this private email business, I can't blame you.
I mean, it's been off of the media's radar for a few years now.
But the gist of that case was that a few years ago, a conservative watchdog group called Judicial Watch, they uncovered the fact that Hillary Clinton, while she was serving as the Secretary of State for America, she was using an unsecured private email server to, among many other things, send classified documents.
Which is actually against the government rules.
Now, Judicial Watch, they filed a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and wished to depose her under oath.
And this is where this legal battle comes in.
Because Hillary Clinton's lawyers, they fought back, and they argued that she did not need to be deposed under oath.
The district court, they disagreed, and they said that she did need to actually sit down for depositions.
However, Hillary Clinton then appealed that decision to the appellate level and the appeals court, they ruled in her favor, saying that since Hillary Clinton had already provided some written answers to questions in an earlier case, there was no need for her to actually sit down and be deposed under oath.
And then, lastly, Judicial Watch, they appealed that appeal court decision to the U.S. Supreme Court, and two days ago, they were ultimately denied.
Now, as is customary, the Supreme Court did not explain their decision.
They did not give their rationale for why they dismissed the appeal.
We here at the Epoch Times, we actually reached out to David Kendall, who is a lawyer for Hillary Clinton, and he sent us this as a response via email.
I have no comment.
The court's decision speaks for itself.
Now, in terms of the plaintiffs, in terms of Judicial Watch, their president released a statement after the Supreme Court ruling, saying that Hillary Clinton ignored the law but received special protection from both the courts and law enforcement.
For countless Americans, this double standard of justice has destroyed confidence in the fair administration of justice.
Americans would never have known about Hillary Clinton's email and related pay-for-play scandals, but for Judicial Watch's diligence.
We expect that the Biden state and justice departments will continue to protect her and cover up their own misconduct as we press for additional accountability through the courts.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we also reached out to the Department of Justice for comment, but they declined.
As to what the next steps are in this case, it's thus far unclear, but we will keep you abreast of any developments as they come out.
If you would like to read more about this lawsuit, or about Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server in general, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And by the way, that is that same little description box that is right below that like button that I hope you take a moment to smash.
Because you know, videos that are like this, talking honestly about what is happening in this world, are routinely censored, throttled, or sometimes outright removed by big tech giants like YouTube.
However, when you smash that like button that's below this video, you are forcing the YouTube algorithm to share this video out to potentially thousands of more people, letting the truth be known far and wide.
And now, let's talk a bit about the Chinese Communist threat.
We here at the Epoch Times, we recently uncovered a speech which was given by a leading Chinese professor.
This professor is actually also an advisor to the Chinese Communist Party.
And in that speech, he laid out a comprehensive plan for China to overtake America as the world's superpower.
And so his strategy, which is multifaceted, involves a range of actions, like interfering in our elections, controlling the American market, cultivating global enemies to challenge the United States, stealing our technology, expanding Chinese territory, influencing international organizations like the WHO, among many others.
And you want to know the kicker?
This speech was given in 2016, which is five years ago.
And the most amazing thing about this speech was how detailed this professor actually got.
For instance, on the topic of manipulating America's elections, he discussed how the best way to do it was to bring pro-China candidates into power, specifically to the House of Representatives, because he said that was the most easiest target.
Here's what this professor said in his speech.
The Chinese government wants to arrange Chinese investments in every single congressional district to control thousands of voters in each district.
And just to give you an idea of how granular he actually got during that speech, he went on to note that the population of America is about 312 million, spread out across 435 congressional districts, which means that there were roughly 750,000 residents living in each district.
And then he said this.
The voting rate in the United States is about 30%, which means around 200,000 residents in each congressional district vote for the representative in that district.
Normally, the difference of votes between two candidates is 10,000 or less.
If China has thousands of votes on hand, China will be the boss of the candidates.
The best scenario is China can buy the United States and change the U.S. House of Representatives into the second standing committee of the National People's Congress.
And as crazy as that is, this aspect, the aspect of our elections, was just one of the many ways that this professor discussed taking down America.
Now, if you'd like to read the full breakdown of his speech for yourself, which I would highly, highly suggest that you do, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And actually, along this line, I'd like to show you something pretty cool.
We here at the Epoch Times, we recently produced a commercial that centered around this concept of the Chinese Communist Party's infiltration of America.
Take a look.
Oh hey, doesn't it feel like there's communists everywhere?
In fact, the Chinese Communist Party has been subverting America from every angle.
And they nearly succeeded.
Whether it's compromising our politicians, controlling Hollywood, manipulating Wall Street, or infiltrating our schools, they have stopped at nothing to take down America.
And I believe that in order for us to not become like China, we need citizens who know the truth.
So click on the button below this video and stay informed with a subscription to the Epoch Times and you will get instant access to this infographic detailing the subversion of America.
While the infographic will give you a phenomenal overview of what has happened thus far, the content inside of the Epoch Times, including our deep investigations, our uncensored reporting, our video documentaries, and all of our interviews, will give you a continuous look into what's happening in this world.
And better yet, it's all presented with no spin, no false narratives, and no nonsense.
Instead, we present you with the facts and let you make up your own mind.
So click on the button below this video, try an Epoch Times subscription, check out this infographic, stay informed, and stay safe.
By the way, if you would like access to that infographic for yourself and to subscribe to the Epoch Times generally, I'll throw a link into the description box below this video to a page where you can do just that.
If you use that link that's in the description box and subscribe, you will get instant access to that infographic.
And now, let's switch gears a little bit and talk about President Trump's new website.
Two days ago, President Trump launched a new personal website that's dedicated to preserving the legacy of his administration, as well as to further advance his agenda.
The website is called 45office.com, and here's what it says on the landing page.
The office of Donald J. Trump is committed to preserving the magnificent legacy of the Trump administration, while at the same time advancing the America First agenda.
Through civic engagement and public activism, the office of Donald J. Trump will strive to inform, educate and inspire Americans from all walks of life as we seek to build a truly great American future.
Now, at this moment, the website is pretty bare.
However, when you go over to the About section, the text there basically celebrates Trump's legacy on key issues like handling the pandemic, addressing the crisis on the U.S. southern border, as well as securing peace deals in the Middle East.
Now, this website is the first big digital step that President Trump has taken since getting kicked off of social media, after Twitter and Facebook, among many others, banned him.
But it's likely not going to end with this website.
Recently, Corey Lewandowski, who is a former senior Trump advisor, he confirmed to the media that President Trump is working on a new social media platform of his own, which will launch in the next few months.
He described this new social media platform as an interactive communications tool that will allow Trump's followers to respond to, as well as to share Trump's messages.
Which, by the way, is a far cry from what is happening right now on social media.
In fact, just earlier today it was reported that Facebook, they removed an interview that was conducted by Lara Trump that featured President Trump, and they cited this new rule.
Content posted on Facebook and Instagram in the voice of President Trump is not currently allowed.
And so it looks like not only is President Trump himself not allowed to post on these platforms, but anyone who interviews him is not allowed to post that either.
So we'll keep you abreast of any developments on President Trump's new social media platform as they come about.
And if you would like to read more about this new website or about this interview with Lara Trump that was removed, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's talk a bit about passports.
Not regular passports, but vaccine passports.
There were some rumors going around over the last few days which said that the Biden administration was working to create some form of vaccination passport.
And in order to set the record straight, two days ago the Biden administration came out and they clarified that while they themselves are not working to create COVID passports, they are providing guidance to private companies who are working to create vaccine passports or other such systems.
In fact, here is what the White House press secretary said in a briefing.
We believe it will be driven by the private sector.
There is currently an interagency process that is looking at many of the questions around vaccine verification, and that issue will touch many agencies, as verification is an issue that will potentially touch many areas of society.
That guidance will provide.
A determination or development of vaccine passport, or whatever you want to call it, will be driven by the private sector.
Ours will be more focused on guidelines that can be used as a basis, and there are a couple of key principles that we are working from.
Now, what exactly are those key principles that she's referring to?
Well, Jen Psaki laid out at least four of them during that press conference.
Let's go through them together.
First of all, there will be no centralized universal database which tracks COVID vaccinations.
Second of all, there will be no federal mandate which requires all Americans to obtain a single vaccine passport.
Thirdly, there will be encouragement of an open marketplace with both companies and non-profits developing the technology.
And lastly, there will be an effort by the government to ensure that all passports meet key standards such as accessibility as well as affordability.
And if all of this sounds far-fetched to you, well, it has already begun to be implemented.
In fact, five days ago, New York became the first state in the country to have a vaccine passport app.
It's called the Excelsior Pass, and state officials envision it being used at sports stadiums, arenas, weddings, as well as small businesses.
Here is how Governor Andrew Cuomo described it: And typically the way it all works is that what happens in New York is a good indication as to what's to come for the rest of the country.
And along that line, a general manager for IBM, which is the company that's behind developing this new app, he said this in a statement.
By rolling out the tool, New York is modeling for the rest of the country how new, technology-enabled approaches can help safely reinvigorate economies while also striving to protect public health.
Now, these passports, they do not have universal appeal, not even within the Democratic Party itself.
For instance, Naomi Wolf, who is a former advisor to Bill Clinton, she recently came out and she said that vaccine passports would be the end of human liberty in the West.
During an interview with Fox News, here's what she said.
Vaccine passport sounds like a fine thing if you don't understand what those platforms can do.
I'm the CEO of a tech company.
I understand what this platform does.
It is not about the vaccine.
It is not about the virus.
It is about your data.
Once this rolls out, you don't have a choice about being part of the system.
During that interview, she went on to further warn that many other functionalities can be loaded onto this Passport platform very easily.
Things like merging it with your PayPal account or your digital currency.
She even said that Microsoft is already talking about merging it with payment plans.
Then, she gave the example of what happened in Israel.
And six months later, we're hearing from activists that it's a two-tiered society, and that basically, activists are ostracized and surveilled continually.
It is the end of civil society, and they are trying to roll it out around the world.
It is absolutely so much more than a vaccine pass.
It is, I cannot stress enough, that it has the power to turn off your life, or to turn on your life, or to let you engage in society or be marginalized.
Furthermore, she even went one step further and extrapolated that these passports might evolve into something like what the Chinese Communist Party uses to surveil their populace, their use of a social credit score.
Here's what she said.
How does the Chinese Communist Party keep a billion people under the thumb of a totalitarian regime?
The Chinese Communist Party can find any dissident within five minutes, and that can happen here literally within months.
Now, some states here in America are just not having it.
For instance, two days ago, down in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis, he announced that he will be taking executive action against the concept of Americans needing a vaccine passports to be able to travel either domestically or internationally.
Here's what he said at a press conference.
We're not supportive of that.
I think it's something that people have certain freedoms and individual liberties to make decisions for themselves.
It is completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society.
Now, we here at the Epoch Times, we will be keeping our eyes glued to developments in all the states regarding these COVID vaccine passports.
And we'll keep you abreast of any developments as they're coming out.
And if you'd like to read more about the Biden administration's comments, about the vaccine passport being developed over in New York, or about the pushback that these passports are experiencing across the board, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now, before we move on over and talk about the recent gun laws which were passed in South Dakota, I'd like to take a quick moment and introduce our sponsor for today's episode, and I will do so from the sound booth.
The sponsor for today's episode is AMAC, which stands for the Association of Mature American Citizens.
Now, I do consider myself a mature American citizen.
However, I'm about 20 years too young to join AMAC. However, if you or somebody else in your family is 50 years old or over, I would consider joining them because there are three main benefits to joining AMAC. The first one is the money-saving benefit.
Basically, if you're a member, they give you a ton of perks to restaurants across the country, to retail shops, on insurance plans, on vitamins.
It's a pretty long list, actually.
It'll be in the link in the description box below this video.
You can check out the full list.
It's pretty long.
The second benefit is that they have an awesome magazine that they send to your door.
And even though I'm not a member, I have read their magazine, and it's really good.
It It's filled with a lot of thought-provoking articles.
The third benefit, which a lot of people cite as their favorite benefit, is that they actually fight for conservative values on Capitol Hill.
Basically, they're fighting against what they're calling a socialist storm that is brewing in America.
I mean, they're basically the conservative alternative to the AARP, and you should consider joining.
I mean, it's only about $16 every year, but you get a ton of benefits.
So you can click on the link in the description box below this video, or you can go to amac.us forward slash facts matter.
Again, that's amac.us forward slash facts matter, and check them out.
AMAC, thank you so much for sponsoring this episode, and now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's talk about South Dakota.
Five days ago, Kristi Noem, who is the governor of South Dakota, she signed into law three laws that fortified the Second Amendment and protected gun owners in that state.
Those laws included restrictions on gun seizures, a reduction in the cost of getting a concealed carry permit, as well as a clarification for the use of deadly force for self-defense, what's known as a stand-your-own-ground law.
And on that third point, here's what that bill said.
A person is justified in using or threatening to use deadly force if the person reasonably believes that using or threatening to use deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or grave bodily harm to himself, herself, or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.
A person who uses or threatens to use deadly force in accordance with this section does not have a duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground.
Now, this move by South Dakota to fortify the Second Amendment comes amidst a greater national push by Democrats as well as gun control activists for more gun restrictions.
For instance, the White House just confirmed a few days ago that Joe Biden will sign executive orders on gun control in the near future, although it's not exactly clear what those executive orders might be.
Furthermore, when discussing the ban on assault weapons, here's what Joe Biden told reporters just three days ago.
I'm the only one who has ever got them passed, man.
The only gun control legislation that's ever passed is mine.
It's going to happen again.
Now, ironically, in a move that many saw as being hypocritical, the FEC, which stands for the Federal Elections Commission, they rule that members of Congress are indeed allowed to use campaign funds to hire bodyguards.
Under this new ruling, members of both the House as well as the Senate will be allowed to use cash from their campaigns to hire private security personnel.
Now this ruling comes at a time when there is, of course, heightened tension, and here's how the congressmen who were requesting to use these funds explained their situation in a letter.
In light of current events involving concrete threats of physical violence against members and their families, members have been compelled to consider further security measures for themselves and their families.
However, many saw this ruling as being an act of hypocrisy, that while members of Congress are now allowed to use campaign funds to hire men with guns to protect themselves, Congress is at the same time pushing for laws that would make it harder for the average American like you and me to do the same.
And actually, I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic.
Do you support more gun control measures for the general public like you and myself, or less gun control?
And what do you make of this decision by the FEC to allow Congress to hire bodyguards for using their campaign funds?
Do you think it's justified, or is it hypocritical?
Please leave your comments in the comments section below.
I would love to read them.
And also, if you would like to read more about the new pro-gun laws that were passed in South Dakota, or about this new recent decision by the FEC, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
