Good evening.
It was just reported that two city council members over in New Jersey were indicted on mail-in voting fraud charges related to the city's last election.
Apparently, postal workers over there were finding mailboxes filled with ballots.
And similarly, over in Mississippi, a judge there has just thrown out the results of a local election due to absentee ballot fraud.
He has ordered them to now hold a redo election.
And also in Mississippi, lawmakers there have just passed a bill that would ban transgender athletes from competing in female sports at both schools as well as universities.
It's currently making its way to the governor's desk as we speak.
Meanwhile, over in Tennessee, a joint operation between U.S. Marshals as well as several other agencies have recovered 150 missing children, ranging in age between 3 and 17 years of age.
Let's go through these stories together.
This is your daily Facts Matter update, and I'm your host, Roman, from the Epoch Times.
And actually, I'd like to mention something.
Yesterday evening, I was over at the gym.
And while I was there, warming up on the stationary bike, there were a bunch of televisions mounted to the wall.
And one of the TVs was playing CNN, CNN News, while the one right next to it was playing Fox News.
And would you believe it, one of them was talking about the crisis on the southern border, while the other one believed that there was no crisis at the border and that the real crisis was domestic terrorists.
And while I was watching those two channels right next to each other, and I kept looking back and forth from one to the other, I mean, the juxtaposition could not have been starker.
It was literally like watching two different realities.
And that's something that I mean literally, by the way, not figuratively.
Because people's realities are, of course, shaped by their physical environments, like where they live and the people around them, but they're also shaped by their notions, their concepts, as well as the way that they see the world.
And so when I was watching these two channels right next to each other, it just hit me so viscerally that the media in this country, by and large, is driving the divide in our society.
In fact, I read a really good quote recently.
It said that in China, they have state-run media.
But here in America, we have media-run state.
That's a very interesting way to put it.
Because we are, of course, a constitutional republic.
And our citizens vote democratically to elect people to power.
And we vote based on what?
We vote based on our beliefs and based on our understandings about the world at large.
And the second part, our understandings are in large part determined by the type of information that we have access to.
And so when you have media that decides to push certain narratives, decides to spin the facts, or to kill certain stories that are vitally important to this country, but might not be politically convenient, That is a recipe for disaster, especially when it happens on a large scale.
Regardless, if you've been watching this program, Facts Matter, for a while now, you probably know what we are trying to do here at the Epoch Times.
We work to present you with the facts, present you with our sources, we try to be as transparent as possible, and we even throw all of our source material into the description box below our videos so you can check them out for yourself and make up your own mind.
You can decide what you believe in.
And yet, our approach has had us demonetized, at least here on YouTube.
As you know, we are not able to run any pre-roll or mid-roll ads for our program.
And so what I'll do is I will throw a link into the description box below this video to a page where you can subscribe to the Epoch Times if you would like to.
It doesn't cost much, but if you subscribe, you will gain access to all of our uncensored reporting, our deep investigations, and basically you will have a conduit.
You will have access to a news outlet that does not push any false narratives.
And also, if anything ever happens here on YouTube, you will have continued access to all of our video programs like Facts Matter.
So the link will be down there.
I hope that you will subscribe.
And now let's talk about what happened over in New Jersey.
It was just reported by local officials that two city council members in Patterson, which is a city in New Jersey, were indicted on fraud charges related to mail-in voting in the city's last election, which was back in May of 2020.
The two men pictured here are Alex Mendez and Michael Jackson.
Probably no relation to the pop singer.
And according to the New Jersey Attorney General, these two men are facing a variety of charges, including election fraud, fraud in casting mail-in votes, tampering with public records, as well as unauthorized possession of ballots.
Now they were both initially charged back in June of 2020, shortly after both of these two men won their seats in the City Council.
Back then, the Attorney General's office in New Jersey, they opened an investigation after the Postal Service alerted them that hundreds of mail-in ballots were found inside of a mailbox in a nearby borough.
And then shortly after they found those, hundreds more mail-in ballots were found inside of a mailbox in Patterson.
And just for your reference, by the way, the Patterson election back in May was completely done by mail-in voting.
Now, New Jersey's attorney general released a statement saying that Now, these two council these two council members deny the charges against them,
And they claim that they were charged because of their opposition to Patterson's mayor.
Here is what Michael Jackson said in a statement.
You would like to think that local politics wouldn't reach that far, but I guess it does.
And here is a statement from Alex Mendez's lawyer.
My client has maintained his innocence throughout this process and will enter a plea of not guilty to the charges and will continue to serve the citizens of Patterson.
Now, if convicted, Mr.
Jackson faces a maximum of over 26 years in prison, while Mr.
Mendez faces a maximum of 36 years.
So we'll keep an eye out on developments in this story, and we'll keep you abreast of any changes that come out.
If you would like to read the charges against them for yourself, or if you want to read their statements, those links will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And by the way, that is that same description box that is right below that like button, I hope you take a moment to smash, because you already know that videos that are like this, talking honestly about what's going on in this world, are routinely censored by big tech, or they're throttled, meaning their reach is reduced.
However, when you smash that like button below this video, you are forcing the YouTube algorithm to share this video out to potentially thousands of more people, letting the truth be known far and wide.
And now, before we talk about election fraud over in Mississippi, I'd like to take a quick moment and introduce our sponsor for today's episode, and I will do so from the sound booth.
That's right.
The sponsor of today's episode is American Hartford Gold, which is a company run by Patriots.
That's why they sponsor a program like ours.
And actually, they're also my personal gold and silver bullion dealer.
I just got my recent order from them in the mail.
Now, if you are worried about the economic situation in America, with these trillions of dollars in stimulus packages, these trillions amounts of dollars that the Fed has pumped into our economy by buying up all these assets, or our national debt ballooning to what it has and seemingly no one talking about it...
Well, so am I. And by the way, I don't give you any financial advice, but I'll tell you what I do.
And for the last four and a half years, I've been buying up physical gold and silver every single month.
Just every single month, I allocate a portion of my salary to buying physical gold, like this gold one ounce coin or this silver 10 ounce bar.
I don't know if you can see it.
It's quite beautiful.
That's what I do.
I just, I buy it, and I believe it's probably one of the best hedges against inflation that you can get.
It had value 5,000 years ago, it has value today, and it'll have value, in my opinion, well into the future.
Now, American Heart for Gold is a great company.
They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
They have just super, super friendly customer service staff.
So when you call them, they'll answer all your questions.
They'll help you out.
And also their waiting music is actually a speech from Ronald Reagan, which is very cool, I think.
And they have some of the best rates out there in the market in terms of gold and silver.
So if you want to check them out, the link will be in the description box below this video.
And actually, right now, they're offering a special where depending on how much you buy, they'll actually throw in $1,500 of free silver into your order.
So that's great.
So you can either click on the link in the description box below or you can call 866-242-2352 or you can text Roman to 65532.
American Heart for Gold, thank you so much for sponsoring our episode.
And now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now let's talk about Mississippi.
A judge there has just ordered a new election to take place in Aberdeen, which is a town in Mississippi, after more than three-quarters of the absentee ballots cast in their June election were found to have been invalid.
And along with that, a notary who was involved in the election has just been arrested.
Now, the judge in the case, whose name is Jeff Weil, he issued an order which said that there is evidence of fraud as well as criminal activity and how the absentee ballots were handled and how they were counted.
He has ordered a new runoff election to take place in the coming weeks.
Here's what he said in his order.
The court is of the opinion there is probable cause that several individuals involved in the disturbances during Election Day at the polling precinct willfully and corruptly violated one or more of the above criminal statutes.
Meanwhile, the same judge also ordered a separate bench warrant against a woman named Dallas Jones.
She is a notary, and she is the one who notarized the absentee ballots in question.
And according to court documents, she admitted that she violated her notary duties and allegedly she said that she insisted an individual or individuals that flaunted the state's voter fraud law.
In fact, a lawyer in the case described what this notary did this way.
When you have an absentee ballot, there's an envelope, you vote, fold the ballot, put it in the envelope, lick the flap, sign across the flap, then the notary signs your election certificate.
She testified that she did not sign in front of anybody.
Didn't see anybody sign it.
She just notarized it.
Just stamped them.
And besides that, the judge in the case also said that other irregularities were noted as well, including ballot box integrity as well as not certifying the election in a timely manner.
So, we'll have to see how this new election turns out, and it will be interesting to note the difference between the one that was held last year and the redo that'll be held this year.
If you would like to read the details regarding this case, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And actually, while we're talking about Mississippi, there is another story worth mentioning.
Lawmakers over in Mississippi, in that state, have just passed a bill that would ban transgender athletes from competing in female sports in both schools as well as universities.
This bill has now passed both chambers of Congress, both the statehouse as well as the state senate, and it's making its way to the governor's desk as we're making this video.
And it's looking like a sure thing that the governor will indeed sign off on it.
How do we know?
Well, here's what the governor said on Twitter.
I will sign our bill to protect young girls from being forced to compete with biological males for athletic opportunities.
It's crazy we have to address it.
But the Biden EO, executive order, forced the issue.
Adults?
That's on them.
But the push for kids to adopt transgenderism is just wrong.
Now, once this bill is signed into law, the Mississippi Fairness Act, as this bill is called, will require any public school, as well as any university that is a member of the Mississippi High School Activities Association or the NCAA, to designate their athletic teams as male, female, or co-ed on the basis of biological sex, and then they must restrict athletes who were born male from joining the female teams.
Now, for your reference, Mississippi is among more than 20 states where lawmakers are pushing for these sorts of restrictions.
And one of the main reasons that this is becoming such a hot topic of national discussion is in response to an executive order from Joe Biden, which states that children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.
Now, if you would like to read more about this new bill out in Mississippi, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And now let's move on over to Tennessee.
It was just announced two days ago that a joint operation between U.S. Marshals, as well as several other state agencies, have recovered 150 missing children over in Tennessee.
The effort was called Operation Volunteer Strong, and it aimed to identify as well as locate missing children.
In total, they were actually looking for 240 children, and thus far they have been able to recover 150 of them.
And according to a press conference, the recovered children ranged between 3 and 17 years of age, and most of them were girls.
And so why were these kids missing in the first place?
Well, there are a range of reasons.
According to local authorities, some of them ran away from home, some were abducted, and some fell victim to human trafficking.
In fact, here is what the director of the Tennessee Department of Children's Services said on the matter.
Many people don't realize this, but hundreds of children go missing in our state every month.
From runaways that may leave their home out of desperation or despair to those entangled in a custody battle, every single one of them deserves a fighting chance, and that's why they also deserve our best work to help them.
Now, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which is the TBI, it's the state equivalent of the FBI, most of these 150 recovered kids will receive children's services from the state, which might mean that they might be placed in foster homes, group homes, or they're going to be given some sort of specialized care.
Now, the local authorities there, they said that they are still working to find the other 90 missing children.
And if you'd like to read more about this rescue effort, that link will be in the description box below this video.
And also, if you happen to know any details about missing children, not just in Tennessee, but anywhere across the nation, I'll throw a link into the description box below this video as well to a webpage where you can submit those details and who knows, maybe you will help the authorities locate some more kids.
And now, fortune has actually shown upon us here at the Epoch Times because we actually have a second sponsor for today's episode.
Let me tell you a bit about them from the sound booth.
The sponsor of today's episode is a very cool company called My Patriot Supply.
And the reason they're a cool company is that when there's a nationwide food shortage, they make sure that you do not go hungry.
They call themselves America's leader in survival food.
And basically, I mean, if you live through 2020, you know, when there's a big global problem like the virus or local problems like riots happening across major cities in America, one of the first ways that you feel it is that your supermarket store shelves, they become empty.
I mean, I don't know about you where you live, but in my neighborhood, when I went to the supermarket around March or April, most of the fresh food was actually gone.
And so what they do is that they send you great food, about 2,000 calories per day, that'll remain fresh for up to 25 years if you store it properly.
So go on over to, they created a very cool landing page, preparewithroman.com.
Again, that's preparewithroman.com.
It'll also be in the description box below this video.
And there you can save $70 on their popular four-week food kit.
So again, preparewithroman.com.
The link will be in the description box below this video.
And My Patriot Supply, thank you so much for sponsoring our episode.
And now Roman in the studio, back to you.
And now lastly, as we already discussed earlier today, on the very same day that Joe Biden was sworn into office, YouTube made the unilateral decision to demonetize our program.
We can now no longer run any ads before, during, or after Facts Matter, and the Super Chat feature has been disabled.
Fortunately, we do have sponsors, who are typically companies run by patriots, who sponsor our program, but honestly, when YouTube makes a decision like that, our funding goes down dramatically, and it's basically an act of trying to stifle out our investigative reporting.
However, if you would like to support The Epoch Times, I'll throw a link into the description box below this video to a page where you can subscribe to the digital edition of The Epoch Times.
That way you will have unfettered access to all of our uncensored reports, our deep investigations, our interviews, our video documentaries, our opinion pieces, and all the rest.
And if anything ever happens here on YouTube, you will continue to have access to Facts Matter, Crossroads, American Thought Leaders, and all of our other video programs.
Again, that link will be in the description box below this video for you to check out.
And actually also...
And until next time, I'm your host, Roman from the Epoch Times.
