Tonight I am extending our state's stay home, stay healthy initiative for an additional month.
Governor, let us go back to work.
That's why we applaud the flag in church.
We are not afraid to say you're in serious trouble.
We'll defend it all the way.
We are not afraid to defend the cause of freedom.
Mr. Gorbachev.
Yes, we are not afraid to defend.
Tear down this wall.
The cause of freedom.

Welcome back to Slightly Offensive here on Blaze TV.
We are here at the beginnings, of course, of the rally against the shutdown here in the state of Washington, specifically in Olympia.
Anyway, we're going to hear why citizens, they want to get back to work, they want to continue on with their lives, and they don't want tyranny to survive any longer.
Please make sure that you like, share, and subscribe, and always check that you are still subscribed as you don't get magically unchecked, like as many of you report every day.
Anyway, we hope you enjoy the show.
With still about 20 minutes for the actual rally to begin, there's already hundreds of people, if not thousands, as we don't have an actual count, of patriots all around, of different political affiliations, yelling for what they love the most.
This country, but not the country that they're seeing at the moment, but a country that stands for freedom and against tyranny.
unidentified
I got bills to pay and I want to go back to work.
I was in beauty school and now they canceled that.
So it's just, it's affected my whole school year.
I don't know if I'm going to have to go to another school.
So it's just really altered my future and I had big plans.
Man, it sucks because I want to go back to work.
That pride that you feel when you go home every day from work, that's like nothing that can take away from be taken.
And Jay Ansley has taken away a lot of jobs from people.
elijah schaffer
So your sign says my fishing pole identifies as an essential worker.
Obviously that comes down to the point of who gets to decide what's an essential worker and who isn't.
Why did you choose this object specifically?
unidentified
I mean, hey, I've been an essential worker since it started.
You know, I just feel that it's an essential activity really, that we can go out and, you know, they say go out and do what you need to do, exercise, whatever, but they close public land, they close fishing.
Why can't I go out and fish when you can't fish?
Can't fish in Washington State, the only state in the country that has closed fishing.
elijah schaffer
So you can't catch your own food, but you can go into a grocery store and buy the food.
You can't stop a man from fishing.
I mean, look at this.
I mean, you're just using your liberties, right?
Just coming out here and fishing?
Absolutely.
I bought a license here.
Doesn't do any good.
You don't need a license, apparently, because you can't fish anyway.
A lot of you guys have obviously seen our videos in Seattle covering the Antifa protests.
But we have a couple guys here.
You guys are not in Antifa, no?
unidentified
No, no.
No, definitely not.
elijah schaffer
Not big supporters of it?
unidentified
You know, not a big fan.
elijah schaffer
Hey, but they were wearing masks before they were cool.
unidentified
That's very true.
elijah schaffer
They were prepared for COVID before COVID was even prepared to become a virus.
unidentified
We get a bad rap, Washington does, but there's a lot of great people here, and you see them all here today.
They love their country, they love the Bible, and they just want their freedoms back.
Mostly, most of us just want to be left alone and be able to work and, you know, provide for our families.
And so that's really the bottom line.
Just leave us alone.
Just let us work.
I don't like how the government's using an excuse of health and safety to tell me what I can and can't do.
This is America.
That's not how the government works.
elijah schaffer
It's always funny that the people keeping other people out of work still have their jobs, right?
The media and the people in the government are still getting paid.
They're still able to go to work.
They're still able to do their daily tasks.
And they don't have to worry about anything.
Meanwhile, someone like you has your entire life put on hold, but no one seems to care.
Why?
Well, because you're not in the media, because you're not. the governor, right?
You're not part of their elite class of people.
unidentified
He shut down construction, which is going to cost the state $100 million a day in revenue.
Buddy, except if you're building low-income housing, sound transit projects, key arena projects, some school projects, it starts adding that little bit of, you know, hey, is this really a political thing or what?
elijah schaffer
Why would governments in the United States bound by the Constitution want to move against our liberties?
That's something I'm actually genuinely confused about.
unidentified
Oh, it's scary.
Yeah.
I'm more scared about that than the virus, for sure.
elijah schaffer
Do you feel like the government restrictions of the shutdown and the tyranny is more dangerous long term than the virus?
unidentified
Yes, definitely.
They're taking away a lot of rights with this and they're using the virus as an excuse for that.
Well, I think it's important that we all realize that our liberties and our natural rights are exactly that, our natural rights.
And a lot of people misunderstand our rights to be something that is created and granted by government, but it's actually ours naturally, by natural law.
I think it's about control.
I mean, I don't think they care about us and our rights.
They just care about serving themselves.
I think it's just a big old political tool to see how far they can take away our freedoms before we push back.
They've basically been caught lying over and over again.
Let's look at the Cold War situation.
They said that the Russians were going to bomb us.
That never happened, you know.
Let's look at Vietnam veterans.
They sprayed them with Agent Orange.
And my father died from the lies of the government.
And so definitely, I'm trying to make a statement.
I'm trying to laugh and mock everyone else that I see that wears the mask because what I see is when I see people wearing a mask, it's like, you must watch TV.
We have to remember that all, any infringement on our rights never stays limited.
And we're headed towards a centralized, authoritarian style government here.
And people think, oh, everything's just temporary.
Everything's going to pass.
And it's really an illusion.
So if you let government take one inch, they will take one mile.
Less than five miles away from us is a private golf club, Tacoma Golf and Country Club.
Very similar.
It's a private club.
Members out there on acres golfing by themselves.
And two days ago, Angela sent armed agent from the Alcohol and Cannabis Board to tell the golfers to get off the golf course and go back to their homes.
What I fear the most for the future is, you know, every time we have a new infectious disease, it's just going to lay the platform for how we deal with it from now on.
You know, I think that's scary because viruses aren't going to go away and they're going to mutate.
We'll have different ones resurface.
And, you know, I think it's kind of a dangerous thing to just start treating things differently.
The media is not telling us facts.
They're just promoting fear.
Fear lowers your IQ and then you look to authority for to feel better.
Yeah, we're questioning the mainstream narrative and I think the people that get called conspiracy theorists are the people that don't agree with the mainstream narrative.
And so I think it's an easy way to label all those people that are questioning what we're told and kind of poo-poo them aside and say they're crazy.
Where do you get your information from?
Online, I get a lot of information on YouTube.
I've watched Blaze Media.
I was raised this way.
My mom was always a questioner and kind of like challenging the narratives and so I was just always raised kind of questioning.
She always told me if everyone agrees on it, then you should question it and do your own research.
So that's what I've always done.
elijah schaffer
In addition to the thousands of people that are in attendance at the rally, hundreds, if not thousands more are gridlocking the streets around the Capitol building, driving around with signs, honking their horns in support at a safer social distance, I guess.
But anyway, whether you prefer to be inside of the protest here or you prefer to drive around the streets, the message is quite clear.
The people want their state back open.
And maybe not just this state, maybe all of them.
Let the people work.
unidentified
It's time to open it up.
We understood for a couple weeks.
You know, it's something that had to be beaten, but this is getting ridiculous.
He tells us May 4th, and now he tells us it's not going to be May 4th, or it probably won't be May 4th.
So I think the governor just needs to grab his balls and f ⁇ ing reopen.
I just think that there's a lot of different other things to focus on right now.
And I don't think this is being handled well at all.
I think the healthy people need to go back to work.
I think we need to get the economy back up and going.
You know, what do they say?
The cure can't be worse than the, you know, the disease.
We're taking our state back in two weeks, if not today.
I'm going out and I'm yelling from the rooftops.
We're starting a rebellion in Washington.
We're not listening to this, governor.
We're taking our state back, and we're not going to be Soviets any longer.
Are you subjects?
Are you citizens?
Yeah!
We the citizens gave them limited power to do the tasks that we didn't want to do because we're too busy following life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
We're opening up May 1st.
Everybody's opening up May 1st.
That's probably a patriot here involved.
It's already going around social media everywhere.
We are opening.
elijah schaffer
So you're going to open, even though it's illegal, you're still going to open your businesses.
unidentified
Totally, yeah.
Tons of people want to.
I think a lot of people already are.
elijah schaffer
Do you support businesses breaking the law and reopening on May 1st like many are claiming they're going to start doing?
unidentified
Yes, I believe it's their decision to, you know, it's their business, their choice.
It's not unconstitutional.
I'm not going to do the 5th and the 14th Amendment.
People need to read the Constitution and they'll know.
That's exactly what you need to do.
These people can have their businesses open anytime.
elijah schaffer
It's unconstitutional.
unidentified
Shut them down at any time.
If they want to open them up today, they should open them up today.
are not afraid, the cause of freedom.
