Tonight, police in Richmond are on high alert.
People are on edge in Richmond, Virginia tonight.
Thousands of people are expected to attend a gun rights rally in Richmond.
The governor declared a state of emergency citing credible threats of violence.
The Titan security came after more than a week of threats and violence.
We're seeing threats of violence.
elijah schaffer
Many demonstrators were heavily armed.
Look at them.
unidentified
They look like soldiers there.
elijah schaffer
Some wearing body armor.
unidentified
There are fears it could be violence, particularly from white extremists.
They are not coming to peacefully protest.
you look at those images of mostly white men armed to the hilt, the level of intimidation and fear that that can stoke is terrifying.
So you
elijah schaffer
know it's going to be a good morning when you are woken up very, very, very early in the morning by somebody yelling out of an armored vehicle and you look out your window and see it to be Alex Jones.
unidentified
And they think that they're going to cut our balls off.
elijah schaffer
Talking about tyranny and the right to bear arms.
unidentified
We have showed them that if they want to work, they're going to get one.
This is not San Francisco.
elijah schaffer
So alongside me on my right as we are marching on Main Street, we are following what appears to be groups of individual citizens here who are expressing their Second Amendment, and they are openly armed.
You can hear the sounds of what appear to be revolutionary battle tunes or just revolutionary era music.
It really, really is a beautiful sight.
And everywhere that I looked, there were tens of thousands of bold patriots armed to the teeth, letting the government know that they could come and take it.
Yes, they were standing up for their right to defend their families, their property, and their country.
And did I ever mention the fact that Epstein didn't kill himself?
These bold and amazing patriots that line the streets were standing up for their God-given rights that were endowed to them by the Creator.
And of course, along the way, we ran into some friends.
unidentified
Can you guys see a picture of the friends?
Yeah, of course.
elijah schaffer
Oh my gosh, this is crazy.
unidentified
Hey, can somebody take a picture of us?
elijah schaffer
Of course, bruh.
unidentified
Solid.
elijah schaffer
What's your name?
unidentified
Braxton, bro.
I watch all your shit.
elijah schaffer
Nice weapon, too, man.
Look at this thing.
All right, so you're out here.
You're armed, okay?
Somebody who's from Los Angeles, where I'm from, is going to look at you.
They're going to probably echo and mirror the rhetoric that's coming from here.
Instantly say you are militia, right-wing terrorist, etc.
What are your thoughts on that?
And what would you say to combat that?
unidentified
Well, for starters, I wanted to come out here with a flag.
It says, not a white supremacist.
elijah schaffer
Dad, you have to clarify that these days.
unidentified
A lot of people don't really understand that.
This is our second member right.
A lot of people don't get and understand that it's how do I put this in the words where people understand?
People live different lives.
Everyone grows up differently.
I grew up with guns.
I understand guns.
Guns are for safety.
Guns do save lives.
You look at the Texas shooting.
I forget the gentleman's name that stopped a mass shooting within like six seconds.
And if you would have waited for a police officer to get there, what would happen?
Many more lives would die.
So you think about it this way.
The way I see it, if you look at the statistics, guns save lives.
At least stand up next to you.
elijah schaffer
So, something that you won't see, for instance, at like the women's march that we were at this weekend is a giant sign actually came apparently all the way from Texas.
It's a really nice piece of art.
It says, come and take it.
There is a sentiment, too, where you don't see signs about provocation, you see signs about defense, about the right to life, about this right to protection, protecting property.
And it kind of goes against the narrative that is in a lot of media that tries to say that these people here are trying to use their weapons offensively.
But you don't really hear anybody talking about that or anybody even claiming that to be true.
So you kind of makes you question: where did the media get that narrative?
So what's exactly going on?
What are we waiting for right here?
unidentified
I'm waiting to stand on the state capitol to protest these changes in our gun laws and our Commonwealth that I believe are completely unconstitutional and overstepping their bounds.
elijah schaffer
Yeah, and there's been a ban right on all weapons in and around the Capitol grounds, which I don't even know if that's constitutional in of itself.
unidentified
That's straight unconstitutional.
That is a complete violation of the Second Amendment.
elijah schaffer
So just to put into perspective how ridiculous this weapons ban is in and around Capitol grounds, they're mad about the stabilizer on our camera.
They're upset that we are stabilizing our camera, saying that that could be used as a weapon.
unidentified
A man in the 60s, probably late 60s, he came by.
The man was almost in tears.
And he was walking with a cane.
And he said they wouldn't let him in up there because of Governor Northam's rules that they cannot have canes in the interior of the fence on the Capitol side.
elijah schaffer
All right.
So after passing through what would be considered pretty heightened and overreactive security, there was higher security than going through an airport.
I'm not joking.
There are massive crowds on the hills overlooking what appear to be thousands of individuals who are here to rally for their rights.
You know, getting your balls groped by a federal agent while just trying to get into a public center isn't exactly the funnest experience.
But I'm not alone in trying to get in here.
Apparently, some of our friends from Los Angeles followed us here to protest the Trump Pence administration.
And boy, was it underwhelming.
I'm not surprised by these losers.
unidentified
Trump pence out now!
No, white supremacy!
No, white supremacy!
elijah schaffer
Listen to this.
It's RevCong from Los Angeles.
This is Bo.
So Bo attacked Blair White, a transgender.
He's a transgender attacker.
unidentified
He threw it at me.
You threw it.
You threw it.
You did it.
You did it.
I didn't throw it.
elijah schaffer
He attacked the transgender activist Blair White in the streets.
It was pretty bad.
But also, they're like pro-communist.
Oh, white supremacy.
That's exactly why we need our guns.
We just want our guns.
unidentified
They're all yelling at you about white supremacy.
elijah schaffer
No, they call for violent revolution in the streets.
unidentified
I heard them say the revolution starts now.
That's crazy.
elijah schaffer
You're the least convincing white supremacist I've met today.
I can't believe RevCom is here.
We're basically co-workers.
We cover protests.
They protest every weekend.
What does that even mean?
unidentified
You got a friend in me.
elijah schaffer
Don't say anything if you support Trump.
Don't say anything.
Don't say anything now.
We find them all around the country.
This is Bo.
He's essentially my associate, except he's meaner and he wants a revolution in the streets for communism.
I don't want that.
But hey, who am I?
I'm just an American citizen.
unidentified
Trump heads out now.
Trump heads out now.
No white supremacy.
No white supremacy.
elijah schaffer
These guys, Revcom, came from Los Angeles here, like nine of them, which is actually more support than they've had probably back in L.A.
No.
Nobody here promotes white supremacy, so they're with you on that one, guys.
We're against fascism.
We're against white supremacy, but they have a mistaken identity of who they think these people are.
In fact, these people are not supporting any type of notion like that, including white nationalism.
They're just supporting gun rights, which these people are revolutionaries, which would require guns.
So they should be marching in solidarity, being in joining arms, not marching against.
I give them credit, though.
They came from LA, some of these people.
Nine of you are going to come against these people to enact communism in the streets.
What are you going to shoot them with?
A Nerf gun?
Yeah, right.
Well, guys, it looks like it's a very violent and tumultuous end to an extremely violent and tumultuous protest.
I'm glad they had such high security.
No, I'm just kidding.
What you'll see behind me is the closeout of the protest where police asked the goers, could you guys just please move onto the sidewalk?
And then they just went, yeah, sure.
And they moved.
And then now everyone's leaving and the police are just chilling, talking in circles.
A little bit different than what we saw in Boston.
Maybe slightly different than what we saw in Seattle.
And just a degree or two off of what we saw in Portland.
It's almost like right-wing protesters aren't dangerous.
unidentified
Hmm.
elijah schaffer
I don't know.
You decide.

I would love to take credit 20 years ago when it was in Berkeley science reports and other top research reports that atrazine sterilizes and reduces fertility of amphibians, of fish, of birds.
but also of mammals.
And so, but what it does is it also confuses males, and then that's what happens to frogs.
They want to have sex with the male frog, but then they don't have any eggs, and so the frogs die.
And so I said, listen, I'm not against gay people.
I just don't want to put chemicals in the water that make the freaking frogs gay.
And the media, every late night comic, they all attack me, knowing full damn well that atrazine is a very toxic chemical and even tiny amounts of it will literally basically shrivel your balls and everything else up so you don't even have a sex life.
Okay, and it'll fry your brain.
And so it doesn't just quote make you gay.
That was just something the media picked up on, even though studies show it makes the male frogs want to have sex with the other male frogs.
