Whittier, Ye Friendly Town, is getting gayer by the day. Traditionally a conservative town hidden in the outskirts of Los Angeles, activists and community members want to change the direction of the city to reflect the progressive culture of the greater area. Let's see what they have to say. Please help support our work by joining Blaze TV. Use promo code "ELIJAH" to get $20/off. We can't do this without you! Welcome back to Slightly Offensive with your perfectly fit gay black woman, me Elijah Schaefer.
Well, I know that that gets old.
We are at a pride festival here in Whittier, the first one of its kind.
And while we get tired of just talking to people about gay things, we are going to actually talk to people who fall on the left about their thoughts about the differences between transgenders and the LGB, like Dave Chappelle said, as well as their thoughts on impeaching Donald Trump.
Yeehaw.
We hope you enjoyed the show.

We are here broadcasting from Los Angeles, California on Blaze TV.
We hope you enjoy the show.
So one thing really interesting about this Pride is if you look to my right over here, you have church, church, church, church.
And this is actually Central Park.
It's surrounded by churches.
This is a Quaker city, actually, founded by Quakers, which is a sect of Christianity.
unidentified
You know, the city of Whittier has a pretty conservative history.
I think that it's in the process of changing and developing and becoming more progressive.
Comparing, you know, because you've probably been to multiple pride events, comparing something like this to, let's say, Pride in LA, different vibes, different atmosphere.
Those are more like, those are more openly sexual, more adult-themed.
This is much more tame, much more family-friendly.
unidentified
But yeah, I believe that's more like for adult fun.
This is more like, you know, to bring the family and have fun, which is a totally different aspect, which is great to like bring them up like that.
This is a book my mom made on behalf of my little brother.
It's really just a place where you can document your first year coming out.
Okay, so he said something in that, which is getting a lot of people upset.
And this is a really interesting idea that even some philosophers talk about today.
He says, the Ts are holding the LGBs back.
Dave Chappelle made this political statement in his comedy show.
And he did it with humor.
Because sometimes the best way to get your views across is by making people laugh and then they think afterwards, right?
And he's saying that it's a different category.
And the reason why pride's not making progress, this is just his theory, right?
Is because people are cool with people having sex who they want, but when you're talking about surgically changing your gender outwardly and saying you're not the gender you were born with, is really not the same thing as let's just say you being bisexual and liking both a guy and a girl.
That's sexual pleasure.
The other one's maybe kind of like a mental disorder.
Do you feel like his statements are true or do you disagree with that?
unidentified
I'm going to have to disagree with that.
You know, sexuality, identity, it's a big umbrella.
And why not include transgender and under our umbrella?
I mean, they're still a part of the community.
I don't really, I don't like that, honestly.
Yeah, to just kind of exclude like a group in the community like that, I don't think it's very chill.
Like if you're one person and I come at you with 10 people, it looks like an attack.
So people feel like they're being attacked by this group, which is why there's those ideas that the LGBTQ, because then they start adding A, A, queer, this, that.
And it's like, oh, I don't even know what they want.
unidentified
I feel like also having the support from the LGBT community is like a big reason why trans people have made so much progress recently.
For people that would say that the community should allow all groups in, obviously you're probably a very level-headed person and you know, obviously we don't want pedophiles in our group, but the pedophile might say, why not?
What is your response to them to say, why, let's say, you would include transgenders, but not them?
unidentified
Because, well, it's a minor.
Like, those are two entirely different things to like, like, that's rape to feel like attraction to like a minor and actually commit sexual acts with them and to simply transition from one gender to another.
Those are two entirely different things.
And to compare them actually is like a bit offensive, I would feel.
So if we're talking about with minors, what do you then feel about them, let's say, with transgenders getting hormone treatment or getting a transgender, starting to start the actual like procedures when they're minors?
unidentified
I feel like a diagnosis and a lot of therapy, if they were to start hormone therapy as a minor, would be needed because some people have fully transitioned and then they've detransitioned, which is really unfortunate that they went through all of that, full surgery, everything, to just detransition.
And like, definitely therapy, a diagnosis, all of that would be needed to start hormone therapy as a minor, I would feel personally.
Right, but he flip-flopped, but Donald Trump has always been supportive of gay marriage.
I promise you this.
There's mixed feelings on whether Donald Trump is pro-LGBTQ or anti-LGBTQ.
For instance, he's the first president that came into office supporting gay marriage, the only one actually that has ever been in office from the day he started.
He allowed transgenders to use whatever restroom they want in his businesses, has some of the loosest free policies in his restaurants, businesses, and hotels.
On the other end, some people that criticize, right, might talk about him trying to end transgenders in the military and things like that.
What's the real balance there?
If we can find things on both sides, is it enough to say that he's pro or enough to say that he's anti?
unidentified
I think that he's pro when it comes to his own game.
I think to get votes, he was definitely going to come out with being pro LGBTQ community.
But at the end of the day, we know that he's not with this community.
You're either with us, and if you're not, go to hell.
Thank you again always for watching.
