Don't think that these types of things should be happening.
It's not right.
It's so not right.
It's so unfair.
I think I do believe things are alive.
People see some little snippet and then they get really emotional and they have this huge reaction over something.
Everyone kind of just blames Trump for everything that's going on when like, I mean, it wasn't even brought to anyone's attention really until recently.
Hey guys, it's Elijah Schaefer here, your favorite gay black woman reporting live from the south of California at the U.S.-Mexico border.
It's true what Jim Acosta said.
There are kids in cages and these walls are definitely keeping people out.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm actually here in Santa Monica, California.
They're a very beautiful beach, often filled with trash and too many tourists, like most of California, actually, including one of the highest populations of homeless people in the entire state.
But besides that point, let's ignore it like Californians do with all their other problems.
Let's talk about something else that doesn't really concern us.
Immigration.
Anyways, right now, there's a lot of misinformation and untruth going on about what's happening at the southern border, but we've come here right here under the big blue sky to help clear the air, bring truth and righteousness, and expose the mainstream media for what they're actually doing by deceiving the rest of the people.
Anyways, make sure you always like, share, and subscribe to keep independent media and journalism alive.
Hope you enjoy the show.
So are you familiar with right now the fight on the border with the kids in cages?
unidentified
Yes, a bit.
I wish I was more educated on it, but I do slightly wear at least.
This picture is actually taken in front of a basically detention facility protest that is actually not a immigrant.
That is a kid who walked into a kennel cage that were being used to protest kids in cages.
They cropped the image.
People took pictures and snapped and cropped pictures of kids inside of dog kennels that were used to protest the borders and use them as propaganda to try to say that this is what was happening to kids.
And these pictures circulated and would have started the phrase, kids in cages, but there was never actually any kids in real cages.
Does that shock you?
unidentified
Interesting.
I guess that does shock me a bit.
It does anger me a bit, knowing that he wanted to tell people that these kids were in cages.
But I also understand protests and bringing awareness to like...
That's really not fair for people to be in a situation like that when a lot of them are just seeking asylum, just trying to get out of a bad situation.
What if I were to tell you that this picture was actually taken under President Obama's administration?
This is during Obama administration, the detention facilities.
What if I were to tell you though that this specific image is from under Obama's administration?
unidentified
It's not what Obama started.
I believe you.
I don't believe you.
Everyone kind of just blames Trump for everything that's going on when, like, I mean, it wasn't even brought to anyone's attention really until recently.
And it said, more deportations were ordered under Obama administration than have yet been ordered under the Trump administration due partially to changes in how deportations are catalogued and partly to an increase in enforcement.
Obama has the distinction of overseeing more deportations than any prior president.
Why didn't we care about it during Obama's administration, but now we care about it?
To be quite frankly, quite frank, I don't love a lot of 50-year-old men, really.
When I say a lot, it's zero.
But I do kind of love Trump.
I do.
He's kind of cool.
I really do.
I think he's a good guy.
I think he's got some problems because I think he was a billionaire narcissist for a lot of years.
And he's starting to realize that his position as a president is different than when he was a businessman.
However, I think he's doing a pretty damn good job as president of the United States, if you ask me.
And so I don't have too much bad to say about him, but it's fair to criticize him because you should be allowed to criticize anyone.
So I'm sure you're familiar with Reuters, the news organization.
It's like up there with publications, supposed to be unbiased Reuters.
Okay, so go ahead and read the title and then go ahead and just describe what you feel when you see the picture.
unidentified
Reuters photo captures Guatemalan mother begging soldier to let her enter the U.S. I'm assuming that's someone from the border and someone trying to cross over.
I mean it's a lot of like confusion.
Like the kid doesn't understand why he can't like get the life that like his mom is telling him about.
Right, because this is a Mexican soldier in Mexico stopping someone from Guatemala from crossing their border, but they twist it to use it to push the agenda that American soldiers are pointing assault rifles at kids with their mother when that's not even happening at the border.
Yet this is shared around by tens of thousands of people as evidence that the Trump administration is trying to basically kill kids.
unidentified
That's very, very frustrating, isn't it?
I mean, I try and be like really observant when I'm like looking at these and whenever I'm on like social media, but I feel like there's even still things that I'm missing.
Like I don't know exactly like what every branch's uniform looks like.
So then I do still like draw my own conclusions and that like upsets me.
Why do you feel that the media wants to demonize ICE and these soldiers to make them look like they're just attacking kids?
unidentified
Just because it's all politics, all it is.
It's politics and they want to choose one side and they go that side and they try to shoot the other narrative wrong.
So like the Republican side they make them look like they're dumb and that Trump's to blame for everything.
But in reality like there's border security for a reason.
People see some little snippet and then they get really emotional and they have this huge reaction over something and they, I mean, and I'm sure I've been guilty of that as well.
You know, you see something and you care about people.
They definitely try and mislead us to get like their own point across.
I think like most news sources do.
They don't tell the full truth.
They just tell you what they want you to hear.
Research is definitely really important and understanding the source of the news that you're getting.
Like I don't want to throw out the term fake news, but like some news isn't going totally from the most secure or greatest source, you know what I mean?
So like making sure that we are as educated as we can be on where things are coming from and that there's no bias from what's being put out there.
Everything I guess kind of has a little bit of bias we can't totally avoid it.
No one likes Trump and they just they want to impeach him since day one and then they're just trying to trying to shoot this narrative and then the lectures are coming up and they're just saying like we don't want Trump and they just make these false accusations where they don't really see the facts and the media is kind of portraying how it was back then or just a different narrative and I don't know it's a big mess right now.
I'm not at all a fan of Donald Trump but I can see that some things are exaggerated.
This is a non-partisan show and we really aren't here to promote one candidate over the other but of course we're gonna cover a lot of Donald Trump because he is the president of the United States.
But I was in the parking lot of Walmart.
Yes, I went to Satan's bedroom.
Walmart is the worst place ever.
No offense to those who work there.
It does suck.
There was a young girl, she was like 13 and her mom, she was like with her mom and she was like, oh my gosh, I love what you do.
Then I was in DC walking with my producers behind the camera and like a 13, 14 year old girl came up and said, wow, I love your videos.
I'm glad that a lot of our fans are 13, 14, 15, 16 years old, because that means that younger generations are thinking more than people want us to believe.
And after all, when you think about all of this, people would say, well, don't you want older fans?
No, I want to help change America.
And the younger you are and the sooner you're getting into this and waking up, the better it is.
unidentified
You should definitely look into things, try to find something new, and then maybe you'll change your mind.
Certainly worked for me.
And if it doesn't, well, you still learn something new in the end and that's what matters.
Thank you so much for watching another episode of Slightly Offensive with your favorite gay black woman, me, Elijah Schaefer.
What you saw here today is that no matter who we talked to, no matter what race the people were, everyone agreed that there is misinformation in the mainstream media trying to create a narrative to further polarize and divide this great country.
Anyways, thank you so much for watching.
Make sure you...
unidentified
Make sure you like, share, and subscribe to keep independent media...
Who the hell is this guy and where does he keep coming from?
Sir, you need to find a better life.
Anyways, like I was saying, make sure you check out the links below also to continue to keep our mission going.
There's lots of ways that you can support us naturally just by giving these videos out to friends, letting people know about them, whether they're young or they're old, a boy or a girl, whether they're brown, black, or white.
People say green too, but if they're green, call the doctor.
Don't share a video with them, you freaking jerk.
Anyways, if you want to go a step further and send us some money on PayPal or whatever you want to do, we appreciate that.
It helps us to continue to fund these missions and spread the truth where it's least accepted.
It's pretty much everywhere that's blue.
Anyways, thank you so much for watching and God bless the United States of America.
Kids in cages, take two.
Here, well, we got to make the knot look like we're in Santa Monica because you got to do what they do with the images, right?
So I got to be in a kid in a cage, so I'm going to like put your hat on backwards like they do when they're looking cool.
Like I gotta cross but be cool, you know?
Like I gotta look like I'm desperate, but not too desperate.
