You know, there are just some days like today where you just want to give up.
And I'm not saying because anything absolutely terrible has happened in my life, but I would say that you get online and you read a story and you ask yourself, are people this stupid in this country?
And apparently the answer to today's story is yes.
You're gonna have to sit down for this one, Gerald.
Just take a seat.
Apparently, giving someone a white dog, yes, with white fur, is now considered a sign of superiority.
And additionally, we are finding out that white animals with white fur inside of movies are now a sign of racism.
Yes, it's true.
People are now getting mad at the fur color of animals, equating it to white superiority.
Welcome back to The Daily Dose with Elijah Schaefer, your fakest doctor and realest gay black woman, and this cat, which I found in the middle of the street a couple years ago and have now lived with ever since then.
Is there any other way that you get a cat than just happening to now have one?
Today's story is very interesting and it comes from Oprah magazine, which you know is going to be a reliable source of information because Oprah is Oprah.
And we're finding out the new Cats movie is coming out.
Not that you've ever seen the play, but it's sort of this creepy, creepy morphological movie about like half cat, half human, humanoid characters that are sort of singing and dancing.
Now the main character is a person of color, of course.
We always have to talk about people's skin color because it's 2019.
And do ideas and truth matter?
No, but apparently skin color does.
Now the main actress, it's not enough that the main actress is black, okay?
We already talked about Hollywood being so white, Oscar is so white.
And so of course Hollywood is doing what they always do to basically bow down to the social justice narrative and said, fine, we'll put a black lead.
But of course, that wasn't enough.
Let's look at this simple movie and see what else liberals are ruining today.
Let's be honest, it says, days after its release, we're all still processing our feelings about the cats trailer, which offered up the first glimpse of the star-studied Andrew Lloyd Weber adaptation.
Thanks to its surreal CGI renderings of furry self-human, half-feline characters, the footage has been variously described as terrifying, cursed, and an abomination.
But another troubling aspect was pointed out by some fans who noted that black actress Francesca Hayward is playing a character that has an entirely white fur.
Unlike other cast members, her real skin tone in the film was unrecognizable.
Okay, so check this out.
Bethesda, please behave.
This is literally a video about cats, okay?
Thank you.
She's actually a mix.
She's a half black, half white, so she doesn't understand.
She's a biracial cat, so she kind of falls in the line of like, if reparations were needed in the country, danger, for real.
Hey, could you stay still for like five seconds and not be satanic?
Thank you.
She doesn't know because if reparations happened, she would have to like pay herself catnip because the white side of her would have to pay the black side of her, which means we just have to portion out her catnip to be half as strong.
Anyways, what they're mad about in this actual story is that this actress, Miss Hayward, is playing a CGI character with white hair, which actually means that people are mad that people are playing CGI, computer graphic characters that are not their skin color.
I heard recently too that we were going to get mad at, you know, it's really interesting though with Shrek, right?
With Michael, is this not Mike Myers?
Is it?
Isn't that the death guy?
I don't remember his name.
But Mr. Myers, the actor, he's not green.
None of the actors that played an avatar were blue, but now we're mad that a black actress played a cat who's literally computer graphics and doesn't represent her skin color.
Not that any type of fur could represent anybody's skin color because people don't literally have actual fur.
they have skin which is different cats have skin too you know anyways it says how come you can clearly see that ugh dude cats are just gross and their hair like the only thing we should be complaining about is cat hair you know who cares about their skin color anyways how come you can clearly see that this is taylor swift the entire bottom half of her face is visible but you wouldn't know the black lead was black unless you knew her already asked one fan.
What we've yet to hear from the folks behind the movie, everyone wants to know more about Hayward, who's definitely a star on the rise.
So it's not enough that we got a black character lead.
People are saying that we can't tell that the character is black.
Isn't that the point of this movie?
They're not supposed to understand how the actual real people look because it's a movie called Cats, which is about cats, not humans.
Not only is it creepy and terrifying, these mongoloid, half-breed, cat-feline, you know, breeds.
Does anybody else want to know what's more offensive?
It's like, now we're going to get mad that we're making black people animals, right?
Oh, you can't make a black person an animal.
That's degrading.
I mean, can you just let a movie make believe for like five seconds?
You know, and so it's like, we go into talking about how she's a big deal.
Of course, she's a big deal.
She's in a movie.
I'm sure she's getting some award for this.
You know, it doesn't matter the fact anymore that she's black.
We always have to go a step further.
But it gets even funnier because it's not just CGI characters that we're mad about that have white fur.
But it's also, Newsweek points out that, let's put pause here, that Ivanka Trump was mocked for giving her white dog to her daughter.
So Ivanka Trump gave a white dog to her daughter.
And of course, this is the sign of superiority by putting a white dog inside of a gift for your kid.
It says here that Americans may love dogs, but many took to Twitter with some harsh words for the one first daughter, Ivanka Trump, that gifted her daughter.
Meet Winter, Arabella's birthday dream come true and the newest member of the Kushner family, Trump tweeted along with a heart-eyed emoji and a picture of a blue-eyed white dog.
Some Twitter users interpreted Trump's present to her eight-year-old daughter, Arabella Rose Kushner, as a sign the senior White House advisor prefers whiteness, like her father, President Donald Trump, has been accused of preferring.
Can you stop?
We are on air.
No.
Her furring.
Recently, she has also been criticized for remaining largely silent on the president's controversial immigration policies.
The dog will fit right in.
It's white enough, Cloud Taylor, who worked on ex-President Bill Clinton's 1992 and 1996 campaigns and as a White House volunteer director tweeted on Saturday, ooh, Cloud Taylor.
Cloud Taylor is, you know, he worked on Clinton's campaign and Clinton did a freaking good job, right?
I mean, some guy on Twitter said that the dog's white.
What the hell's wrong with you?
Look at this dog.
This dog's freaking cute.
Do you like the dog?
Do you like the dog?
She doesn't like the dog.
Bethesda, I don't really like cats very much.
I just happened to own her hair is everywhere.
It's disgusting.
Anyways, they got this cat, this dog for their kids, and people are getting mad that the dog's too white.
It's like, it's a dog.
It has white hair.
It's like fur.
It was born with this fur.
What are you going to do?
Get mad at, you know, squirrels for being indecent because they're always playing with their nuts in public?
I mean, we're going to get mad at animals.
I mean, animals sniff each other's buttholes and they hump each other in front of people in like public.
Okay, there's other things I'll get mad at animals about.
Number one, bad breath, you know, freaking spot or a thumper, whatever we're calling you.
You could at least take care of that, brush your teeth or something.
They literally think that he gave them the animal because it's white.
So now we are now making dogs racist.
You've heard it here.
Dogs and cats are both racist, which is why I, as a champion against racism, have an actual breed of cat.
Thank you so much for watching another episode of the Daily Dose on Slightly Offensive with your favorite gay black woman, me, Elijah Schaefer, with your new co-host, Bethesda A.C. Schaefer.
