		I worked at Planned Parenthood.
		I was a gender and woman's studies major in college where reproductive justice was a very big part of my education.

		So yeah, working at Planned Parenthood was a really influential part of my decision as well because I worked with so many patients who were still considering whether or not to go through with such a big decision.
		And so I was able to learn a lot more about a woman's body and what kind of thoughts go into that.

unidentified		No, I was a policy analyst, so I worked more on policy.

		It's just like a little tiny baby.
		Like they kind of rip it apart.

unidentified		I think that it's moving to know what it must have taken for a woman to make such a decision and the strength that it must have taken for a woman to go through with that choice.
unidentified		And I really admire women who are strong and who are able to make good decisions for them and for the world.
elijah schaffer ▲ ● ▼		And I'm not just trying to appeal to your emotion, but like realistically, like person to person, when you see these little tiny torsos, right, these little tiny arms, these little tiny hands, you see this little tiny baby head that is in pieces, that it just looks like a baby in pieces, that doesn't shock you at all.
unidentified		Well, see, I would actually think that it's kind of wrong to even talk about that with somebody, not with me because I'm not considering it, but with somebody who was, a patient who was considering an abortion, I would say that that shouldn't even be a great question.
elijah schaffer ▲ ● ▼		But every single medical operation that people have, they tell you like you could die.
		They give you all the risks.
		They show you pictures of what could happen, what couldn't happen.
		So why would we make an exception for abortion if it's a medical procedure?
unidentified		And abortion is a very traumatic experience.
		It can be a PTSD.
		It can be a very triggering.

elijah schaffer ▲ ● ▼		It can cause certain types of cancer, like cervical cancer, different types of cancer.

		So anyway, so I think that's a very traumatic experience already.
		And to further trigger a patient and to further show them what is going to happen, I think that's already causing so much trauma.
		And they don't really deserve to have to go through that.

		So what we've been seeing here as we've been talking to people is when it comes to the opinion of whether abortion is a good or a bad thing, what we find is that people are pretty split.
		And what we're finding now is that once you begin to talk to people and explain to them really what's going on inside the womb, their opinion changes.
		Now this video is not meant to change your mind and tell you abortion is good or an abortion is bad.
		What it's trying to do is show you that the argument about abortion pretends to be settled, but it's not.
		And a Supreme Court decision doesn't determine morality.
		And what a society and how a society values human life determines the length and the life of that society.
		And I believe as Americans that we're better than this.
		I believe as Americans that we can talk about these things.
		If you believe in abortion, that's your right.
		And that's fine.
		Nice scooter, sweet scooter.
		But the reality is, is that, you know what?
		We should at least be allowed to talk about these things.
		Because, you know, that's where civil discussion comes.
		One of us is right, one of us is wrong.
		Is abortion right or is it wrong?
