This is Eli out here, but slightly offensive at another march against Donald Trump, actually out in the city of Whittier, the place where I grew up.
I was just driving back from getting some off-the-hook Mexican seafood, Mariscos, and my typical white mocha latte, and I came across a lot of people who were holding signs about not ripping families apart.
So I'm filming today's episode myself with a camera on a tripod because I do what I have to do to bring the newest stories to you.
But let's go ahead and let's see what people have to say because believe me, I'm feeling good.
I have shrimp swimming in my stomach, coffee in my veins, and I want to hear how Donald Trump is causing pain.
So my friend, what are we out here protesting today?

I'm protesting the inhumane things that the Trump administration is doing and the lies and the deceit.
this is not my America.
We're protesting that families are, Trump said he would not reunite the families and we're protesting that these 3,000 children belong with their parents.

3,000 children have been separated from their families with no tracking system in place or hope of reuniting them.

We're out here making sure that this no longer happens again.
I know that President Trump signed an executive order today, but this shouldn't have happened.
They're trying to fix a policy of a mess that they created initially, so we have to continue the pressure.
Attorney General Sessions signed an order saying there was a zero tolerance policy.
That's when this began, in April.
It actually began last October.
It's like this gum and their virulent pieces of swamp gas that should have stayed at the bottom of the swamp.

You know, Trump has done everything that he could to take care of these children.
It's not that they're in cages.
It's legally.
Legal residents right now.
If the children are taken away, they're taken away from the parents.
They don't have foster parents to go to right away.
These illegal immigrants, their children will go back with the parents when the parents go back.
It's not an issue.
I mean, if you're going to come across the border illegally, if you're going to commit a crime, you pay the price.

Okay, and what are we out here protesting?

You want to get protests?
Sure.
We're asking that the children who have been separated from their parents prior to the executive order today be reunified with their parents.
That's what we're mainly out here for today.
We don't know when the children that are already housed, were housed, caged, are going to be set free.
We don't know if there are any plans for Trump to follow the laws that say that families cannot be even cannot be indefinitely housed even while their cases are pending.
And so we have a lot to stand up for and there's a lot more to do regarding immigration, regarding the treatment of children in our society.

So with the executive order signed today, just a few hours ago that would stop separating families at the border, what do you think our response as a protest should be to that, considering a lot of the signs say to stop separating families, but today it's officially stopped.
Are you for that, against that?
Do we stop the protests after this or how do we continue to fight if not?

Not as long as he keeps saying that he will not lift a finger to reunite these families.

This reminds me of a jungle republic, a third world country of dictators.
We know whatever's going on there is not good in those detention centers or they wouldn't have kept our elected officials out who speak for us and are our eyes and ears to what this government is doing.

People get to this guy lies so fast and so hard and so strong that it takes a while for people to adjust what they say based on his lies.
There's people behind the scenes in the White House right now working on strategizing against certain people and perpetuating certain agendas.
And I think that that work is still happening, even if it doesn't come to the surface like this has been.

And so which agendas possibly are they organizing that might come to the surface that we might be able to protest against in the future?
Awesome, and so when when when particularly We're not are we being disrespectful asking you a question Are right-wing news not allowed to cover events?

What I'll say is that it's important to understand.
And as I was posting today with some people, it's important to look at multiple news sources.
And so the facts are hard to find now.
And so we need to all work together and, again, look to multiple sources and look to ways to make sure we are hearing the truth and not one-sided arguments.

So some of these laws predate to George W. Bush, who was a Republican, right?
And he signed some of these things about not allowing children to be tried for the crimes of their parents.
And some of these laws have went across three different administrations, both left and right.
And these facilities that are being used to hold the children today are the same facilities that were used under the Obama administration.
