	But it's now taken on a life of its own because of the congratulatory lickspittle attitude of the press.
	These fawning sycophants now are praising him for injuring his foot.
	A tight-lipped Team Biden reignites health fears after the foot fracture, writes the Washington Times.
	78-year-old man who will become the oldest ever president if he is inaugurated.
	You know, the president-elect, the emperor-elect, and of course we'll be talking about that later.
	We have an update on the fractured fairy tale about the emperor's new vote totals, but we will have But I said, you know, I tweeted out this morning, I said, the foot injury kind of begs a question.
	Is elderly President-elect Joe, is he a lame duck now with his boot?
	Is he just a placeholder for President-elect Kamala?
	But I thought Babylon Bee had the best comment.
	Biden's arm falls off while trying to open a jar of peanut butter.
	Yeah, it just literally fell off, said one aide.
	I walked in the kitchen, and there was his arm just lying on the floor.
	Mr. Biden didn't even seem to notice it was gone!
	I told him, this is a normal occurrence for people of his age, so everything is fine.
	Once Biden noticed that his arm was on the floor, he bent over to pick it up, and his nose fell off.
	Aides rushed to wrestle the confused Biden to the floor and take him to the hospital for reassembly.
	Nothing to see here, insisted a spokesperson.
	Biden will be calling a lid, you know, peanut butter lid, I guess, during his two-week recovery time and looks forward to reappearing to take charge of the country and to defeat the virus.
	But here's an example of some of the fawning sycophancy that is coming out of people like the Washington Post's Chris Eliza.

	And matters of health, and well, and everything else, is just fundamental to a functioning democracy, he said, at the Washington Post.
	And we have had the opposite of that for the last four years.
	Yeah, all that transparency that we just had in the election?

	And they went on to say, in Slate's story, They talked about President-elect Joe Biden suffered a hairline fracture of his foot.
	Should you use the word hairline when you're talking about Joe Biden?
	I mean, that's kind of a veiled insult, isn't it?
	While engaging in one of the most presidential acts of performative vigor, playing around with his dog.
	Can you believe this?
	I mean, this sounds like something out of the Soviet Union, doesn't it?
	The great leader and his performative vigor Performative vigor in terms of just walking around and having the foot fracture.
	Yes, that's right.
	But, you know, as we look at all of this, I was absolutely stunned.
	I actually took a picture of the screen and I sent it to my wife this morning.
	Fox News was all over this story.
	You've got the White House so upset about the fact That the left is bragging about Biden's all-female communications team.
	They say, all-female?
	We did that first!
	See, they're in a competition for identity politics.
	It doesn't matter that we got martial law for 260 days.
	It doesn't matter that the Constitution has been nullified.

	And, of course, they haven't put the masks over our eyes yet.

	I mean, wasn't it just a few days ago?
	We were told that, I don't know, your arms are going to fall off if you have it.
	It's ridiculous the fear-mongering that is going on in the mainstream media that is being promoted by Matt Drudge.
	Just absolutely amazing.
	More and more restrictions and Atlas is out.
	That's right.
	You know, when we looked at this, I had so many people telling me all the time, well, you know, Fauci, Trump is just waiting until the election.

	You don't believe Fauci, and so you want to believe that what Trump really believes is Scott Atlas, except he was the only one put on the advisory committee.

	Those two very smart people who on Friday the 13th presented the Imperial College of London to President Trump and said, here, 2.2 million people are going to die.

	That have sustained the executive orders, they're the underlying executive orders that allow these governors, Republican and Democrat, to continue adding new rules and regulations to us.
	And they're still there.
	President Trump's executive orders are still there.
	I get people, let somebody send me an executive order and say, look at this, a couple of them, look at this, President Trump has done executive orders about elections and so forth.
	It's like, well, why doesn't he take his executive order away?
	That does a lockdown.
	Because it's a lockdown that messed up the economy.
	It was a lockdown that created the election farce that we just had, this mail-in election.
	It was a lockdown, stupid!
	That's what took out the economy, stupid, right?
	It's always about the economy.
	It doesn't matter, the scandals, impeachments, they don't matter.
	It's the economy.
	But what killed the economy was a lockdown.
	What killed the Constitution was a lockdown.
	What killed our individual liberty, our freedom and dignity was a lockdown, and the lockdown is still there.
	And Atlas is gone.
	And Fauci and Birx, those two very smart people, are still there.
	And President Trump says he saved 2 million people.
	Because, you know, those two very smart people told him that 2.2 million people were going to die.
	Then they told him that 0.2 million people died.
	So, I saved 2 million people.
	Atlas, who's been criticized for posing lockdowns and defiance of quote-unquote science, Warned in his letter that although some may disagree with my recommendations, it is the free exchange of ideas that lead to scientific truth.
	That's right, if you don't have a debate, you don't have science.
	If you don't have skepticism, you don't have science.
	If you don't question, you haven't been following the scientific method.
	Anyway, he goes, these are the very foundation of a civilized society.
	That's right, that's why they're removing those foundations.

	Maybe he's not old, maybe he's just got the virus, right?
	No, this is actually a virus that doesn't even kill the elderly, primarily.
	You know what primarily kills?
	The middle class.
	It primarily kills Main Street.
	It's a political virus.
	It also kills the integrity of politicians and media whores who push this lie.
	And it also kills our culture and our Constitution.
	We have Fauci finally confirming that children don't catch or transmit COVID-19 in large numbers.
	Imagine that.
	Yeah, that's one of the things that is a dead giveaway.
	That this is a construct.
	And not a pandemic.
	If you look at the demographics of the deaths, right, they start to begin in about 65 and then they go up exponentially.
	You know, kind of like natural causes.
	And you have nobody.
	Statistically zero.
	Don't say nobody dies.
	You have people who are dying and people catch pneumonia and of course if they can Connect this in some tangential way to COVID-19.
	They diagnosed that as a COVID-19 case, and then they send that story around the world.
	But in reality, it's statistically zero.
	If you're under 45, let's say.
	And that was very different from the 1918 pandemic.
	The 1918 pandemic was evenly distributed across all age groups.
	Yeah, you had a spike for those under one, and you had a spike for those over 80, because they're frail.
	But other than that, it was evenly distributed.
	This is not a pandemic.
	This is a statistical piece of propaganda.
	And so, Rand Paul took on Fauci in these hearings, and Fauci finally admitted that children do not get terribly ill from the COVID-19 situation.
	Now that they think that Trump is leaving office, now he can ease up!
	Right?
	He needs to get the kids back in school.
	We've got to prepare that next generation to be like the Antifa idiots in Seattle.
	That's the product of the school system.
	The school system would be the very last thing that I would open up.
	I would keep it closed forever.
	But anyway, this is what Rand Paul had to say.

	Recovering based on the idea that recovering coronavirus patients are developing immunity and that it can be beneficial as donated.
	Studies show that the recovering COVID-19 patients, from the asymptomatic to the very sick, are showing significant antibody response.
	Studies show that SARS and MERS, also coronaviruses, induce immunity for at least two to three years.
	And yet the media continues to report that we have no evidence that patients who survive coronavirus have immunity.
	I think actually the truth is the opposite.
	We have no evidence that survivors of coronavirus don't have immunity and a great deal of evidence to suggest that they do.
	The question of immunity is linked to health policy and that workers who have gained immunity can be a strong part of our economic recovery.
	The silver lining to so many infections in the meat processing industry Is that a large portion of these workers now have immunity.
	Those workers should be reassured that they likely won't get it again instead of being alarmed by media reports that there is no evidence of immunity.
	You've stated publicly that you'd bet it all that... Pause it a second.
	Yeah.
	You notice what he said?
	He went to the meatpacking thing.
	I don't care whether they open schools.
	Like I said, they ought to keep these indoctrination centers closed.
	But what they're going to do is they're going to shut down food processing plants and they're going to shut down grocery stores already doing it.

	Can you help set the record straight that the scientific record, as it is being accumulated, is supportive that infection with coronavirus likely leads to some form of immunity?
	Dr. Fauci.
	Thank you for the question, Senator Paul.
	Yes, you're correct that I have said that given what we know about the recovery from viruses such as coronaviruses in general, or even any infectious disease with very few exceptions, that when you have antibody present it very likely indicates a degree of protection.
	I think it's in the semantics of how this is expressed when you say has it been formally proven by long-term natural history studies Pause that a second.
	Pause that a second.
	You hear this?
	Think about what this liar is selling you on vaccines.
	Well, we got antibodies here.
	Which means that you're going to be protected.
	You're going to be 90, 95 percent.
	I don't know.
	We'll come up with some more numbers.
	How's that sound, right?
	95 percent protected and effective.
	Why?
	Based on what?
	Based on what they say, they've noticed, is antibodies.
	However, if you have antibodies that you acquired because you survived this deadly disease, that 99.9% of the people survive, if you survive that, and you have antibodies, well, we don't know if those things are any good.
	We'd have to do a long-term study.
	He didn't do a long-term study on the vaccine.
	Two months.
	Two months.
	You got people who have had antibodies a lot, natural antibodies, a lot longer than two months.
	Do you hear the duplicity and the lies in what he's saying?
	If you got it and you recovered, then you got antibodies.
	We have to look at that for a long-term period of time.
	But if you got the antibodies from our RNA-modifying vaccines, oh, that's good.
	That's 95% effective.
	We don't have to do any long-term studies for that.

	Let's put this in a little bit of perspective as to what's going on.
	You know, we throw these deaths out there.
	I remember a Dredge Report, a month or two ago, had somebody went through and said, you know, look at how many people are dying on a daily basis.
	This is like a major airliner going down every single day.
	And I said, all right, let's put that in perspective.
	How many people are dying of heart disease?
	Well, it's like eight or nine major airlines going down every day.
	Same thing with cancer.
	Same thing with many other diseases.
	See, if you cherry-pick this stuff and you take it out of context, you don't really know what you're talking about.
	So let's just compare what's going on, for example, in St.
	Louis.
	That's what Gateway Pundit did.
	I mean, we could do the same thing with Chicago.
	Do the same thing with Baltimore.
	There you have the Republican governor there, Hogan, saying, well, I'm going to have the police going around inspecting people, and we need to do this, just like we do drunk driving.
	Are you wearing your mask?
	Are you doing social distancing?
	Are you out after curfew?
	And I'm gonna mask everybody, I'm gonna mandate everything, this Republican governor of Maryland, and yet he's got massive crime rate in Baltimore.
	At the very beginning of this, you remember there was that small Baltimore church.
	It was so small, a few elderly black people, because young people had completely deserted it at that point in time.
	But they had ten people.
	Which was in compliance with the guidelines.
	Ten people inside this church was all.
	And you had eight cops in four different cars show up like a drug raid.
	And that's what the black pastor said.
	He said, this looks like a drug raid.
	What are you doing?
	We're just going to church and we've got less than ten people in here.
	And they had to have four security guards outside to guard them because the crime was so bad in Baltimore.
	But police don't care about that.
	They show up to harass those elderly black people.
	We're just trying to worship God peacefully.
	To exercise their First Amendment rights.
	So, in St.
	Louis, you have 239 homicides this year.
	And they report 238 coronavirus deaths.
	At least 50 children were shot so far this year.
	Children didn't die from coronavirus.
	And we're not sure about those 238 deaths.
	We are sure about the bullets, however.
	Those are very easily identified as a cause of death.
	Unless maybe you have a clinical diagnosis that says, well, I don't know, I saw this person before they expired.
	I saw them sniffling a little bit.
	So I think maybe they didn't die from the gunshot wound.
	It must have been coronavirus.
	That's reality.
	The reality that we miss.
	But as we're talking about the cancel culture at CNN, and how they're canceling Christmas.
	Take a look at what happened to this nurse.
	She did a TikTok thing, and she put the caption down, said, when my co-workers find out I still travel, that I don't wear a mask when I'm not out, and I let my kids have playdates.
	And then she had behind it, it was like a whoo, you know, from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
	Somebody freaking out about that.
	And so just a little clip there on TikTok.
	People saw it.
	And they got her suspended.
	See, she's now been suspended as a nurse because she still travels and she doesn't wear a mask and she calls BS on this stuff.
	She's suspended, but she's still not sick.
	Isn't that interesting?
	Not sick, but suspended.
	And she'll probably be fired.
	The video prompted an outcry from concerned community members who mounted a cancel campaign.
	Isn't this the way it typically goes now?
	Over 1,500 people Commented on the post, hundreds calling for the nurse to be fired and for her license to be revoked.
	And as I reported before, you know, prior to all this mask mania, you realize about 25% of doctors in operating theaters, according to studies that were done about three or four years ago before this became a political issue, about 25% of doctors said they don't wear a mask in the operating room.
	But now, but now, oh, everything's changed.
	About a third of small businesses in New York and New Jersey have closed.
	It's really bad, said one individual.
	The New Jersey State Director of the National Federation of Independent Businesses said, without federal dollars coming into New Jersey, Main Street stores and other establishments just aren't going to make it through the winter.
	Isn't it sad that the National Federation of Independent Businesses have become so dependent upon government subsidies that they can't even ask for their freedom.
	They're demanding and begging for a handout.
	They're not demanding their liberty.
	This is fundamentally what is wrong with this country.
	And you're being trained like a dog to accept handouts.
	You're being domesticated.
	You're being isolated.
	You're being turned into a pet for Bill Gates and for Klaus Schwab, the Davos dictator.
	New York City pub declares itself an autonomous zone.

	But before we do, in this segment, short segment, I just want to talk about some of the ridiculous contradictions that we have here.
	And absurdities.
	As we look at this bar in New York City that just declared themselves an autonomous zone, they said we're going to pull your alcohol license.
	You know, because we don't want anybody getting any alcohol during the pandemic, right?
	Do we?
	I mean, earlier, at the very beginning of this, remember you had Cuomo saying, we have now repurposed our slave labor in the prisons, and they're going to make very high concentration alcohol hand sanitizer for us.
	Better than anything you can buy in the stores.
	And it turned out that they weren't actually making it.
	He was lying about that.
	But, you know, nevertheless, he got an Emmy for acting.
	But, you know, hand sanitizer.
	Everybody's all about the hand sanitizer.
	As a matter of fact, there's a church, a Catholic church in Raleigh, North Carolina, that has now recruited special ministers from among the lay congregation to assist in the sanitizing hands of the church members there prior to receiving communion.
	Prior to receiving the Eucharist.
	So they've got a special lay ministry.
	Not the professional clergy, but the other people.
	Non-paid.
	To squirt hand sanitizer before communion.
	I guess they don't believe in transubstantiation anymore.
	Except for the virus.
	But anyway, so we're manic about the hand sanitizer.
	Gotta hand sanitize everything.
	Get that alcohol out.
	Except that when you look at what is going on in New York, I was shutting down the bars.
	Can't get that.
	Or I got this from a listener in Wales.
	Said the First Minister of Wales has now stated That as the lockdown is starting to come to an end, pubs can now reopen but cannot sell alcohol, you know, to save lives.
	It's like, wait a minute.
	He says, who knew that alcohol is a source of COVID?
	I thought we were spreading it all over our hands to kill the COVID, right?
	They just can't keep their lies straight, can they?
	Or this one from a flight attendant talking about oxygen deprivation.
	You know, alcohol, is it good or bad?
	Well, that depends on your political agenda, right?
	Same thing about oxygen.
	So what I find so disturbing and completely unacceptable is how the airlines push the useless space diaper wearing when they know how important oxygen is at different altitudes.
	Every plane has between 8 to 20 personal oxygen bottles on the plane.
	And they have oxygen above every seat in the event of decompression, which can happen at any time.
	Yeah, that's... I think it's a George Carlin routine.
	You know, if that thing comes down, you know you're in trouble.
	Anyway, they call it the time of useful consciousness.
	The time it takes from the onset of a decompression at different altitudes to the time that you're dead because you don't have oxygen.
	At 20,000 feet, it's 30 minutes.
	At 30,000 feet, it's 2 minutes.
	At 45,000 feet, it's only 15 seconds.
	How about that?
	Pretty quick.
	It's one of the reasons why they tell you Put that mask on your face before you put it on your kid.
	Because they may pass out, but you'll bring them back once you get that oxygen mask on.
	That's one of the reasons why I don't wear one of these face diapers.
	I'm trying to keep myself conscious, alert, and awake.
	I'm fighting for your freedom, even if you are a child that doesn't understand what's going on about this.
	And then eventually you'll thank me when I get the mask off of your face and the fear out of your mind and soul.
	Every airline and crew member knows this set of facts, yet they still push this superstition and lie on people and rely on people to show who is willing to be a compliant slave.
	That's right.
	So, you know, when we look at this, it's like oxygen.
	Can't have alcohol.
	Gotta shut down the bars.
	But put it on your hand.
	Can't have oxygen!
	Uh, we gotta put those face masks on.
	But, you know, make sure that we got the oxygen bottles around.
	And then, as I said before, the antibody.
	She said, well, you don't know about the antibodies that you had naturally.
	We have to wait a while to take a look at that.
	But the antibodies you got from the vaccine, two months, they were good!
	Back in 1996, the head of the World Food Program said that they would use food and global lockdowns due to a virus scare to bring in world government.
	That also came out in the North American Union documents that Judicial Watch and Lou Dobbs got more than 15 years ago as well.

	When you talk about herd immunity, herd immunity was a concept that was discussed and understood By a scientist long before we had vaccines.

	And the idea being is that you get exposed to a disease and you survive it.
	You know, like George Washington survived smallpox, you have lifetime immunity.
	Or like I survived measles.

	Almost everybody in my, pretty much 99.999% of the people who got measles survived.
	And we got lifetime immunity.
	However, that doesn't happen with a vaccine, with the MMR vaccine.
	Oh no, we've got to have two shots.
	Well, maybe we've got to have three shots because we've had a measles outbreak of people who only had two shots.
	So that must mean that we need to have a third one.
	Because you're not getting lasting immunity from these vaccines if you ever had immunity.
	And so they keep giving it to you more and more.
	And so the reality is, is that the vaccines do not give you herd immunity.
	It's actual immunity that comes from having the disease that is necessary for herd immunity.
	And this stuff has been known for a long time, just like going back to 1840.

	And the mayor there said, well, we looked up our zip code and there's no information that states that there are any cases whatsoever within our zip code.
	No cases of COVID and no deaths related to it.
	So when we look at the shutdown and everything that's happening and there's no data that says the Mossy Rock area zip code has any cases or deaths, then why should we suffer as a city?
	And as citizens, and follow the governor's mandate.
	Said, how can you manage a pandemic if you don't know where the hotspots are, he said.
	And if in our area we do not have any hotspots, then why should we as a community be held hostage with our schools and our citizens to the rest of the state?
	And this goes back to the constitutional issue that the Republican governor of Maryland, Governor Hogan, He lied to you about it.
	He said this is no constitutional violation to force you to wear a mask.
	Oh, yes it is.
	Because you don't have the authority under any stretch of the imagination to quarantine healthy people.
	And what you're doing is, you're doing this without any due process.
	Claiming that I'm sick.
	Claiming that I'm contagious because, you know, even people aren't sick.
	Even people have no symptoms.
	Oh, they're spreading it everywhere.
	They're super spreader.
	This is prior constraint.
	It's tyranny.
	In a word.
	He goes on to say, if we had the data that the governor keeps talking about, and it showed that yes, it was coming from the restaurants, or it was coming from the gyms, or it was coming from the salons, then that's a whole different ballpark, you know?
	But he doesn't.
	There is no data that shows that it's coming from restaurants.
	I believe it's more of a control issue than anything else.
	I believe that they want to be able to control us, and to tell us what we need to do, and to get us accustomed.
	To always following what they say.
	Because I believe there is something bigger here.
	That they have planned to keep us under their thumb.
	Under their thumb!

	As a congressman, I wouldn't go.
	You could give me all the fringe benefits and I still wouldn't go.
	If elected, I would not serve.
	But I did run for office because I wanted to talk about these issues.
	And one of the things that I wanted to talk about Was the fact that we should actually go back to the pattern of the Constitution, which, as Richard Proctor has pointed out, they never even followed in the very beginning.
	They didn't limit the number of people represented to what they had in the Constitution.
	It was supposed to be 30,000 and never get above 50,000.
	And now we've got about 750,000 people that are represented by a congressman.
	So you're not represented.
	You're not represented.
	When you look at the difference between what this mayor in a small town is saying versus the lies and the propaganda coming from the mainstream big national media and even the state level, but especially the federal government, you understand that the only way that we can take back our lives and our liberty is if we work at the local level from the ground up.
	Back in the early 90s, we made a point of saying at that point in time you had the New Hampshire legislature, state legislature.
	One of the largest legislative bodies in terms of the number of legislators per voter.
	And it's a small state, but they had a very large legislature.
	At that point in time, they were able to get four libertarians as a third party because they were able to escape that lock, that mental lock.
	of party loyalty.
	They were independent thinkers because of that.

	They argue that the governor has abused his power during the coronavirus pandemic.
	They cite his veto of a Senate bill, along with threatened vetoes against other General Assembly legislation, including another Senate bill, which would limit the power of the governor during a pandemic.
	Becker's office said, quote, Governor DeWine's mismanagement, malfeasance, misfeasance, abuse of power, and other crimes include, but are not limited to, meddling in the conduct of a presidential primary election.
	See, I'm telling you, the lockdown was there and was part of what was required for this election fraud.
	Oh yeah, we're going to do a vote by mail.
	What could possibly be wrong with that?
	Keep bringing in the trucks for another 10 days, literally.

	They brought in trucks, continued to bring in ballots for 10 days.

	I gotta say, I was never that offended by Hillary Clinton calling me deplorable.

	I am offended, greatly, by both the Democrats and the Republicans presuming that they can tell us what is essential and what is not essential.
	That our lives, our activities, are not essential.

	That is destroying our lives, our families, our professions, our businesses.

	And this other store is not allowed to stay open.
	And I gotta tell you, one of the reasons why that rings So viscerally in me is because I had it happen to me when I had a small business.
	The only time we ever closed when we had our small businesses, we had six retail sites that we own.
	And we never closed.
	And after we had some snowstorms, I got four wheel drive and if it starts snowing, we'd start calling our store managers and our employees and we'd say, need you down here right away because people would find a way To get to the store to rent a movie.
	Or to get to the grocery store and get bread and milk.
	They would find a way.
	They would walk it if they needed to.
	And so it's like, oh, we need you here.
	Well, I can't get there.
	Where do you live?
	I'll come get you.
	And I did.
	We didn't close.
	We never closed.
	Except once.
	We had a hurricane come through.
	Hurricane Fran went through the area.
	And we lost power for several days.
	Well, if the customers don't have power, they're not going to rent any movies.
	And we can't rent to them either.
	But we did have one store that got power back after a couple of days.
	And so we went down, we opened that up for a while.
	And then we had the police came by and told us we had to shut.
	And we hadn't had any customers for about an hour.
	This was in the evening.
	And we didn't have very good visibility of that particular store from the road.
	So I was like, all right, I'm not going to fight them on this.
	But it really made me angry because right across the street, Walmart was open.
	And I said that to him.
	I said, I'm going to close because I don't have any business.
	I'm not going to close because you're telling me to.
	Do you understand that?
	You're going to tell me that Walmart can stay open and I can't stay open?
	And that's what they're doing to every small business across the country.
	I've been there.
	I know what that feels like.
	And I sympathize with these people.
	Because this isn't one day we're talking about.
	This isn't a week or a month.
	We're now 260 days into this.
	Where is Trump?
	Where are the Republicans?
	Where's Rand Paul?
	Where are any of these worthless politicians in Washington?
	Do something to defend our lives and liberties!

	Last week, just before Thanksgiving, there was a lot of talk about grocery store closures in New Mexico.
	And, of course, the governor of New Mexico said, that's just not the case.
	We don't have any problem with that.
	And yet, it was documented.
	Some local newspapers documented that.
	Under Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's public health order, businesses with four or more rapid responses in a 14-day period, and what I mean by that is you take one of these rapid tests that the Trump administration has funded 150 million of them and passed them around, I mean, what you're talking about here is just seeding chaos by doing that.
	These are tests, these Abbott Labs rapid tests.
	It takes them 15 minutes and they get a 93% false positive rate.
	And they have an app so that they can snitch on you and that eventually they can turn into a little smartphone passport.
	150 million of those.
	Give them to universities, give them to people like Governor Grisham.
	And so if they have four people in a two-week period, they have to shut down the entire business for two weeks.
	Now according to a local TV station there in New Mexico, K-O-B-4, grocery stores in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Roswell, Carlsbad, Farmington, Hobbs, and La Cruces, I think is the way you pronounce it.
	Have been closed.
	Roswell, even.
	Maybe they can get some space aliens to bring in some food.
	The governor's office issued a statement saying, quote, there is no community in the state of New Mexico where COVID-19 closures have closed off all food and water or medicine options for any community or for any group of people.
	Every single community where the virus is forcing closures has alternate stores and alternate resources.
	But John Block at the Pinyon Post said the governor's office claims are untrue and easily disprovable.
	And he posted photos of people in New Mexico waiting in long lines outside of grocery stores with date and time stamps on the photos.
	And they were taken between November 13th and November 23rd.
	Up on the news that the limits of 75 people inside each store, retailers preemptively began limiting capacity to begin compliance with the governor's mandate, said Bogg.
	And Free Thought Project comments and says, yeah, nothing stops the spread of a virus quite like hundreds of people congregating outside a grocery store.
	That's kind of like what we've seen, the absurdity of the TSA.
	Oh yeah, we can't let you in here because, you know, you might have a bomb or a weapon.
	So we'll have everybody bunch up in lines out there.
	Because, you know, that is so much more effective if we congregate everybody in a static line.
	And you've seen the terrorist attacks in churches and Islamic countries, whereas everybody is queuing up to go through the metal detector because we don't want to get anybody inside the church building with a bomb.
	They just walk up with a bomb and blow up all the people waiting to go through the metal detector.
	Any security expert would tell you this is an idiotic approach.
	And of course it works that same way if it were a real virus as well.
	A real pandemic.
	It is a real virus, but it's a cold.
	It's a flu.
	It's not really dangerous.
	What's more, the governor's office apparently didn't think of the unintended consequences of closing grocery stores in some areas while opening them in others.
	So people are now traveling across multiple counties.
	To get food.
	Even out of state, to get food.
	Which, if this was a pandemic, would make it worse, wouldn't it?
	Yeah.
	One man told KOB4 that he and his wife tested positive for COVID-19, but they had to go shopping in person because they couldn't get their groceries delivered, or they couldn't get curbside because of a lack of options, thanks to the governor's order.
	Well, of course, that's okay, though, because, you know, we were told by our beloved Governor Abbott here For months we haven't been able to go anywhere or do anything, unless you wear a mask.
	But you didn't have to wear a mask to go vote.
	So I got thrown out of multiple hotels on election day.
	But I could go to vote and not have to wear a mask.
	As a matter of fact, CDC said you can still go and vote.
	Even if you test positive, you can still go and vote.
	Because it's a political virus.
	It does not affect you if you're voting.
	Only if you're not voting.
	But I still haven't got it, even though I didn't vote.
	If you think the government, whose coronavirus task force consisted of more lobbyists than it did public health experts, has your interests in mind, think again, says Freethought Project.

	I tell this, he said, I want Governor Cuomo, who's making over $200,000, and I want this guy here, who's head of the county, who's making over $100,000, I want them to come to my house and sit at my table and tell me and my family that we don't have the right to earn a living when they're collecting checks.

	I I guess, well, let's introduce it as the Emperor's New Vote Totals.

	Facts and Fairytales!
	That's what this election has turned into.
	As a matter of fact, there's still a lot of seats for the House of Representatives that are left undecided.
	I mean, this is not just the train wreck that the presidential race became, the obvious fraud.
	No, no, no.
	I mean, you've even got House races all over the place.
	Were they still... Here we are in December.
	This is turning out to be worse even for these House races.
	Then we had in the 2000 election, we had just one corrupt Democrat jurisdiction where they tried to throw the entire national election.
	No, no, no, they've got multiple jurisdictions this time around.
	They're going to do it much better this time around.
	But it's not just the presidential election.
	It's all these other ones.
	Why?
	Because they had the underlying fairytale of a pandemic that created a lockdown election.
	And so now there's still seats in the House of Representatives left undecided.
	California has been notoriously slow, reports New American.
	Counting votes throughout the years, and this year especially, two House districts remain undecided.
	This last Friday, the Associated Press did call District 21 in favor of a Republican.
	Should that hold up, it will represent yet another flipped seat for the GOP.
	Isn't that funny?
	Well, you know, Republicans gained seats.
	In the House, and yet we're supposed to believe that President Trump was rejected.
	In Iowa, Republicans look to flip yet another seat held by Democrats.
	Out of more than 394,000 votes, with a recount that finished on Saturday, the current tally shows that Miller-Meeks, the Republican, retains a six-vote edge over the Democrat.
	Think about that!
	394,000 votes.
	And they have already done the recount.
	I mean, it's so close that it would do an automatic recount.
	But no, they already did that.
	And wins the seat with a six-vote majority out of 394,000 votes.
	Democrats face accusations of fraud in a House race in New York.
	Imagine that.
	In New York.
	Voter fraud in New York.
	Imagine my surprise.
	After a 28,000 vote lead on election night was erased by a judge and mail-in ballots.
	Does that sound familiar?
	You see, if we don't fix the fundamental problems, it's not going to just affect President Trump.
	It'll affect all elections at every level.
	And the way that you can magnify fraud, and the way that you can make fraud an enterprise-wide solution for Democrats, as they say, is by making it computerized and electronic.
	That'll allow them to rig every election everywhere from top to bottom.
	And that is the underlying problem.
	All the stuff about Mail-in ballots.
	That was to get your attention.
	To get you to beg, actually, for more electronic voting.
	Get you to beg for blockchain.
	And that's not going to be a solution.
	That's going to be less transparent.
	More easily rigged and manipulated.
	And it won't be just a hacking contest between Republicans and Democrats.
	It'll be a hacking contest with foreign governments as well.
	And we've seen this over and over again.
	I've talked about it for eight years, Smartmatic, created by friends of Hugo Chavez, and caught time and time again in the Philippines, in Brazil, in Mexico, and throughout Central America, rigging elections, not just in Venezuela, but doing it here as well.
	And it was Republicans who brought them in in 2016.

	They wanted to also make sure that he was not going to get the electoral college votes out of Utah and make sure that he didn't make it.
	They tried everything they could in Utah.
	Mitt Romney and his ilk.
	But anyway, going back to New York, a New York congressional race came down to a judge personally reviewing individual spoiled ballots.
	Resulting in a Democrat incumbent erasing nearly 30,000 vote deficit to take a 13 vote lead and declare victory.
	Think about that.
	That judge was pretty busy.
	If he looked at 30,000 ballots... So you have the Republican who's got a 30,000 vote lead and then he winds up after the judge takes a look at the mail-in ballots, he winds up losing by 13 votes.
	Oh, yeah, sure, I believe that.
	In New York, 22, the Democrat incumbent was trailing by almost 30,000 on election night, writes Hot Air Editor.
	On Twitter, the mail-in ballots got him close.
	Then a Democrat judge from Syracuse ruled that he would personally review all the spoiled ballots.
	And guess what happened next?
	The judge miraculously found enough ballots that he felt were okay, and the incumbent now leads by 13 votes.
	The process and the integrity of our election are critical to our republic.
	Judicial review has been fair, open, and honest, and transparent, and I remain confident that voters' voices will be heard, said the incumbent, who won after the judge rigged it for him.
	And if you talk about any of this, we had an Arizona GOP witness, Bobby Pitten, I think you just pronounce his name, during his blistering testimony on election fraud, who was then suspended by Twitter for speaking out.
	We've had other people speaking out.
	You have Rand Paul talking about anomalies and things that were unbelievable in this election.
	He narrowed it down to four different issues.
	And of course we've heard these.
	The massive shifting of votes.
	It's nothing new.
	If we look at what the strategy has been for the Democrats, what has been their strategy for the longest period of time?
	Make sure that we don't identify the voters, make sure that we don't have any transparency, that you can't follow and trace the votes, right?
	And that's why the whole idea of even using blockchain, let alone, we're not even talking about a sting that didn't happen, we're talking about, because back in 2007, Switzerland used blockchain to securely transmit some votes from point A to point B.
	Except that it didn't really matter, because if you rig it at point A, or you rig it at point B, or you rig it at point C, it doesn't matter that you had a secure blockchain transmission between A and B, right?
	If you preload your voting machines, which is what has happened with Smartmatic, that really doesn't matter either.
	And so a lot of this is just a head fake.
	To try to get people to buy into a system that is going to have less transparency is more easily hacked.
	We've seen this on an annual basis where you have a voter village at Defcon in Las Vegas and they bring in kids to hack replicas of these voting systems.
	The Arizona witness that was shut down said truckloads of ballots kept coming in for 10 days after the elections officials thought they were done counting votes.
	As Rand Paul talks about it, he points to four wild data dumps that put Biden ahead.
	An update of Michigan about 6.30 Eastern on November 4th showed 141,000 votes for Biden An update in Wisconsin at 3.42 a.m.
	showed 143,000 votes for Biden and 25,000 votes for Trump.
	A vote update in Georgia at 1.34 a.m.
	in the morning.
	at 1.42am, showed 143,000 votes for Biden and 25,000 votes for Trump.
	A vote update in Georgia at 1.34am in the morning.
	These all happening in the wee hours of the morning.
	Showed 136,000 votes for Biden and 29,000 votes for Trump.
	An update in Michigan at 3.50 a.m.
	Showed 54,497 votes and only 4,000 votes for Trump.
	So when you look at this, it's kind of interesting, you know, these dumps that come in on election night.
	And all of a sudden, you know, they're 80, 90% for Biden, and they're coming in at 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock in the morning.
	You have a witness that says for 10 days we saw truckloads of ballots coming in.
	Here's the problem, though.
	Because we allowed, we knew that this was going to be fraudulent.
	We knew that the Democrats wanted to make sure we don't have any voter identification to register to vote.
	You don't have to have any voter pictures in most southern states.
	You know, because we're not allowed.
	You know, that would be racist if you had a picture.
	So, they do everything they can to rig the process, and by extending this voting period, and by extending it way past the election, and then by making it all by mail, we knew this was going to happen.
	Even A.G.
	Barr knew it was going to happen.
	They did nothing to stop it.
	They're doing nothing to stop these elections that are happening in Georgia under the same rules.
	It's a given that these people are going to rig this and give themselves control of the Senate as well.

	Treasury check that went to Norwegian citizens living in Norway.
	They weren't even in America, they were living in Norway.
	He said, at least dead people who receive stimulus checks were Americans.
	But now we're sending stimulus checks to Norwegians in Norway!
	He said, Twitter trolls can hate this and they can call it fake, but I confirm this 100%.
	Stop the insanity.
	Open our economy.

	He did that on August 14th.

	And then, today, he tweeted that out again.
	And he said, well, three months ago, I broke the news that the $1,200 U.S.
	stimulus checks were going to foreigners overseas.
	A lot of liberals didn't believe our government could be this incompetent and wasteful.
	Maybe they'll believe it now that NPR has finally reported on it and he links to the NPR story and that's the case.
	This is why so many times I'll pull up NPR or the Washington Post or the New York Times because you know you just won't believe it if I don't give it to you from them.
	And this is the guy, by the way, that was vilified for complaining about the trillion-dollar-a-month subsidies, and he was raked over the coals by President Trump for that.
	He had the good grace not to reply in kind.
	But it ought to be crystal clear to people who is right about this now.
	Yeah, Thomas Massey.
	He's one of the good guys.
	And he's been calling for that.
	You know, and I sympathize with him.
	When you're a member of Congress, you get shoved over to the side like Rand Paul did.
	I'm sorry, Ron Paul.
	It's difficult to get anything done.
	They don't put you on committees.
	They shelve your legislation.
	The only thing you can do is just vote no.
	That's why they called Ron Paul.

	You see, for the longest time, Microsoft has been positioning themselves to be the portal through which you live all of your life.
	You will go to school, get your Common Core education delivered to you online by Bill Gates and his surrogates.
	You will watch the news that they want you to see.
	They will count your votes for you.
	They will have you working through their apps and they will give the business owners a report about how you're doing.
	As a matter of fact, they've now patented technology to track employees' body language at meetings.
	And I've talked about the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects, IARPA, you know, you have DARPA, you have BARDA, the ones who were behind this militarized vaccine program in the Trump administration, Operation Warp Speed.
	BARDA is a big moving force behind that.
	And then you have IARPA.
	IARPA is out there looking for ways to surveil everybody all the time, out in physical space, because, you know, you've already got The NSA, the CIA, just like you've got GCHQ in Britain, in the UK, they are now actively monitoring and manipulating social media and narratives, tracking people who say they're not for vaccines or who question the science behind the pandemic and the lockdowns.
	No, they've got the British spies working on that, just like the Americans are doing that.
	The Americans just aren't admitting it.
	You know, we don't have a whistleblower here blowing the whistle on them right now.
	This is part of what you see, the people who are really running the government.
	You really think that Boris Johnson is calling the shots there?
	It's probably just like it is here, where the CIA is running the show, and the NSA, and the military-industrial complex, the surveillance state, and so forth.
	And the rest of these people are just window dressing.
	But it's also, as we saw with the Trump administration, they wanted to get him out of the way.
	They had the people in London working with the people at the CIA in Langley.
	The London-Langley Axis working on that phony Russian coup attempt.
	But these intelligence agencies with the English-speaking countries, the Five Eyes, when you look at what is happening in Canada and Australia and the UK with all this COVID stuff, you should be very concerned.
	Very concerned about what they're going to do with the vaccine.
	Very concerned about the military's involvement in all of this.
	This is where this is headed and it is part of these agencies that have now turned on their own people.
	A good example is something that was sent to me by another listener out of a publication called IndianCountryToday.com.
	It's talking about, and I've mentioned this before from other listeners who have sent me articles about how bad the lockdown has been in the Indian reservation.
	The Indian reservations are the pattern for the smart city lockdown, for the UN 2030 agenda, and before that it was Agenda 21.
	And it also is exactly what Davos is putting out there with their great reset, with their Vision 2030.
	They want to make sure that they have locked you down and taken away your ability to move, your ability to earn a living, you know, kind of like they did with the Indians on the reservations back in the 1800s.
	And as they have the vaccine program rolling out to the Indian country, as they put it.
	Indian country today says fear, mistrust and trauma over unethical medical experiments of the past are live and well in Indian country.
	Navajo and Lummi, I think is the way you pronounce it.
	It's a very small tribe.
	About 5,000 people in the northwest.
	I'd never heard of it before.
	I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly.
	Navajo and Lume government leaders recently came face-to-face with that reality when they announced to their tribes that they would be participating in COVID-19 vaccine trials.
	Their triumphant social media announcements were quickly met with outrage and suspicion from tribal citizens.
	Why are you making us guinea pigs?
	It's a rushed experiment.
	Our government leaders should be the first ones to take the vaccine.
	I ain't falling for it.
	Better to rely on our traditional medicine.
	These people are a lot more awake than the average American.

	I want to lay out some of his excellent research.

	Thank you for having me.
	When I read this, I thought it was fascinating.
	And let's begin, before we go back to the beginning and pick up and trace this thread of understanding Western civilization about individual liberty and where it comes from.
	Is it a creation of the state that is handed to us or is it something that we possess as individuals as we see in the American tradition?
	How did we get to that point?
	How did we get to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and so forth?
	You talk about all that.
	But let's talk about Leviathan.
	Let's talk a little bit about Hobbes.
	Describe the image that he chose for the cover of his book, Leviathan, and tell the audience a little bit about this guy, Hobbes, where he was coming from and what kind of a society he envisioned.
	Thomas Hobbes wrote Leviathan in 1651.
	This is right during the period where the Puritan Commonwealth is giving way to the return of Charles II into England.
	And the key to all of this is that the Puritans argued really that Parliament and representation was essential to proper government.
	Hobbes Believe that that wasn't true, and that in fact the government really should be in the hands of the king.
	He was very much an absolutist.
	He believed that in an absolute monarchy, divine right of kings, that kind of thing.
	And the picture that he picked for the cover of Leviathan pictures a man standing there.
	The man is made up.
	Of a whole bunch of other individuals, all of them facing away from you, that make up the body of the figure.
	And on the top of it, you have the face of the king looking out.
	And the idea is that the state is a single organism, and the king is its head.
	All the people are part of this organism, but the king is the one who directs it.
	And everything that happens in the state is under the authority of the king.
	He has complete authority over everything.
	He cannot break laws.
	He cannot violate his covenant with the people because they've ceded all authority to him.
	So he is an absolute monarch.
	His rule extends into every area of life.
	It's kind of like a judge dread.
	I am the law.
	I can't violate the law.
	I am the law.
	Yeah.
	And this really, I think, we're now seeing this type of thing.
	It was the thing that the founders of this country dreaded more than anything, I believe, and that was what they called consolidation, what we would call centralization of control.
	That's why they had the divided government structure that they did.
	When we come back, we're going to talk more about that, how there were different philosophers, like John Locke, Who came up against Hobbes.
	And that really became the tradition out of which we developed our Declaration of Independence.
	What did they mean by the pursuit of happiness?

	It's a very fast read.
	And it does a sweeping survey.
	of Western civilization, going back to Roman times, talking about the interplay and the evolving ideas about the role of government, the place for the church, the place for the individual, for the family, how that has changed over the centuries.
	But I wonder, we'll go back and pick that up, but we began the discussion talking about Thomas Hobbes' Leviathan.
	And how he embraced an all-knowing, all-powerful government from the cover of his book through the rest of this.
	And I'll read you a quote from Glenn Sunshine's book here.
	The state was depicted as a single entity made up of individuals bound together in an omnipotent, immortal, indivisible whole under its head the king.
	Boy, does this not describe our government today pretty closely, Glenn?
	I don't know.
	What do you think?
	Well, part of the point of the book is that the Christian tradition has spent really its entire time in discussing politics, figuring out where the limits of government power are, and we've systematically turned away from all that.
	There's no question that the government's power is extending into all kinds of areas where it doesn't belong.
	Yes.
	And in so many cases, I mean, we've abdicated, we've allowed our institutions to be co-opted and taken over, and in many cases, begging for the government to do so.
	Whether it is institutions of schools that historically were run by churches, or by families, or you know, take over our families, and now they're extending the tentacles into areas that many people never imagined that they would do.
	But before we go back and talk about some of the older issues here, talk about John Locke, who came along shortly after Hobbes, how he countered Hobbes' idea.
	Because John Locke was a guy that was a part of the Enlightenment.
	He kind of had one foot in Christian theology and one foot in the Enlightenment.
	Like a lot of the founders of this country, he had a lot of influence on the American founders.
	Locke was very much, as you point out, a materialist.
	He was an absolutist.
	He wanted an all-powerful, totalitarian, centrally controlling government.
	How did John Locke counter Hobbes' idea of the role of government?
	Well, the interesting thing about Locke is that he started as a Puritan.
	And he actually knew a great deal about Christian theology, about particularly political theology.
	And what he did is he pulled together all of the various strands that had developed over the centuries and came up with a really new synthesis on how all the different parts of Christian political theology fit together.
	And it begins with the idea that God granted human beings certain rights, and these rights are pre-political.
	They come from the Garden of Eden before human government existed, and if they existed before human government, then government doesn't have authority over them.
	And from there, he moved to the idea that people create government specifically to protect those rights.
	And this is set up in the form of a contract.
	That's an idea that – it's sort of a secularized version of the idea of covenant, which Locke got from the Calvinist tradition and Calvin got from Exodus.
	Of course, we see that in the Mayflower Compact.
	I just talked about that last week during Thanksgiving.
	That was a covenantal idea.
	They're stranded in this area, a place they didn't plan to go.
	They had no legal framework for what they were going to do.
	But they wanted to create an ordered society, and so they got together and compacted, covenanted together to say, this is what we're going to do.
	This is our purpose.
	We're coming here because we want freedom.
	We're coming here because we want to spread the gospel to the Indians and share the wonderful thing that we found with them.
	And that really, you know, was kind of flowed out of this Christian philosophy, just like Locke picked up on it, Puritan.
	Right.
	Well, you know, when you go back to Exodus, when God is establishing his covenant with Israel, he asks them three different times, do you accept the terms of this covenant?
	And only when the people have ratified it three times does God say, okay, it's in effect.
	So Calvin, from that, concluded that, first of all, government is based on consent of the governed.
	And secondly, that it should be set up in covenantal form.
	If that's how God sets up his government, certainly human government should be that way.
	And compact is really just another word for covenant.
	Locke changes it to contract, which is, he's starting a process of secularization there.
	But the idea is rooted in the Calvinist idea of covenant.
	It's the consent of the governed, the people coming together in agreement and establishing a form of government Where the king, or the government in whatever form it is, exists specifically to protect the people's unalienable rights.
	If the king violates that, unlike Hobbes who said the king could never violate it because the people cede all authority to him, in Locke, no, the people are the source of power.
	They are the ones who have fundamental authority here.
	And if the government violates the contract, Then the people have a right to revoke the contract.
	The contract's already been broken by the government.
	So the people can revoke that contract and establish a new one with a different government that seems to them better suited to protect their rights.
	So, when Locke comes back and pushes back against Hobbes' materialist idea of authoritarian, centralized, monstrous government, because I understand, I mean, Leviathan, I'm sure that he understood, Leviathan, when he talked about it, he understood that that was, in the context of the Bible, that was used to describe a monstrous, large, you know, threatening beast, right?
	It consciously refers to that.
	The king is this large monstrous beast that has all power and is omnipotent.
	But John Locke comes against that, and as you're talking about this, and you're talking about his view of this, I mean, that directly is echoed in the Declaration of Independence.
	So that brings us to the phrase, pursuit of happiness.
	And this is not in the Disney World context, right?
	What was happiness as it was understood by Thomas Jefferson?
	Yeah, well, Locke, operating out of the Christian tradition, identified life, liberty, and property as the three inalienable rights.
	Jefferson changed property to pursuit of happiness.
	Now, for Jefferson, the word happiness was a, it actually goes back to a Greek word, eudaimonia, and he's reflecting really on Aristotle's Nicomachean ethics here.
	What all that means is that to Aristotle, The state of eudaimonia, which was translated in this period as happiness, is the goal of human life.
	Human beings are made to pursue or, well, you have to pursue eudaimonia to pursue this state.
	And it was to Aristotle, it was a life of excellence.
	It was a life well lived.
	The kind of life that when you get to the end of your life on your deathbed, you can look back and say, Yeah, I did it.
	I did it right.
	I did it well.
	This was a good life.
	So that, you know, it involves things like living a virtuous life.
	He has a very clear idea that virtue is important here.
	And again, excellence in all areas, which, by the way, to Jefferson and to Aristotle, implied property.
	So the pursuit of happiness includes property rights, but it goes beyond that into this Ability to pursue the proper end of man, the proper goal for which human life exists.
	And again, he's adopting terminology really coming out of Aristotle here, but that's really the point of it.
	It isn't happiness in the sense of whatever makes me feel good right now, because what makes me feel good right now is something I may regret seriously later on.
	Instead, it's pursuit of the things that are the highest good.
	And this is a very important topic for us to have right now because as we see the New York Times pushing their false 1619 vision of America and ignoring the true foundations of America and the values of these people.
	Certainly nobody lives up to the values that they have perfectly.
	Right.
	But it was focused on, as you point out, the pursuit of happiness, which is a pursuit of virtue.
	And when we look at what is happening now with the statues being toppled, that is simply the last example of the society that is being overthrown.
	We have to go back and we have to reconsider ourselves.
	In terms of a virtuous life.
	What is it that we want to achieve in our lives and in our society?
	What are the values that we have here?
	And this is what has resulted over the Thanksgiving weekend and some more statues of Washington and others being taken down and spray-painted by these thugs.

	About the founders' understanding of liberty.
	We talked about the pursuit of happiness, how that came from John Locke's understanding.
	Jefferson picked up on that.
	And we're going to go back and talk a little bit about how Christianity shaped the governments of Western Europe, going all the way back to Rome.
	That is really what Glenn Sunshine talks about a great deal.

	Glenn, let's talk a little bit about their different ideas of liberty.
	Because, you know, a lot of people will talk about the Constitution and how we have positive and negative rights.
	And in the Bill of Rights, the negative rights are there to limit government.
	Right?
	And that's really what we have in the Bill of Rights.
	You can't stop people's free speech.
	You can't do this.
	You can't do that.
	Why?
	Because the Declaration of Independence points out that our rights come from God.
	And yet you have people like Barack Obama conscious of the idea that that was really the intention of the Bill of Rights.
	And he doesn't like it.
	I mean, part of it is Kind of a, you know, it truly is a prohibition on government.
	They don't grant us any rights.
	They don't grant us privileges in the Bill of Rights.
	What it does is it restricts what government can do to take away those God-given rights.
	But then they talk about, the socialists do, and Barack Obama openly talked about the idea of positive rights.
	I will give you a right to a house, a right to education, a right to health care.
	It's a very different approach to it.
	But there is, as you're pointing out in your book, When we talk about liberty, talk about the positive and negative aspects of liberty from the standpoint of the people who were there at the time of the founding of this country.
	Yeah, well, when I was in school, I was always told that liberty was an old-fashioned word for freedom.
	And that is more false than it is true, at least in the way we use the word freedom today.
	What liberty meant to the people of the 18th century, to Jefferson, even earlier, to Locke and others, is the idea that we have the right to basically, again, live a good life, to pursue a life of virtue, to pursue things that are good and positive.
	It is a freedom for something.
	It is a freedom for working toward a good life, toward a good society, toward, again, virtue, toward those kinds of things.
	The alternative to liberty was license.
	License is freedom from.
	That is to say, it's freedom from restraint.
	You can't tell me what to do.
	That's license.
	And this is where we come into it in our secular society, right?
	Right.
	I just do whatever I wish, whatever I see right, and you know, just leave me alone, as opposed to having some kind of an underlying moral code.
	I think that really is kind of where we've gone off the rail as a society, isn't it?
	Because we've lost that idea that there is something called virtue, and how that is defined.
	Right.
	You know, as soon as we move culturally toward moral relativism, As soon as that happens, virtue disappears.
	And when virtue disappears, liberty dies.
	The only thing that is left is license.
	And so to people today, what freedom means is license.
	It means freedom from restraint.
	They've lost the positive vision of what freedom is intended to be.
	No one in the 18th century believed you had a natural right to license.
	They did believe you had a natural right to liberty.
	And actually, I think they're right about that.
	Yeah, yeah, exactly.
	And the higher ideals of that.
	One of the things that you mentioned in your book, and I'd never really thought about it, was Christianity is the only religion to start and spread without state support.
	Because, you know, we think about the Middle Ages where you had, you know, Protestants would have their enclaves and they were fighting with the And allied, you know, with government and the Catholics would have theirs.
	And we remember a lot of that history where there's a close connection between state authority and church authority.
	But it didn't begin that way, did it?
	No, we ignore the first 300 years of church history.
	That's longer than America's been here as a country.
	That's right.
	For 300 years, we had nothing but outright, I mean, vicious persecution of the Christian Church.
	And yet it survived and thrived and spread in spite of that, and perhaps because of that.
	Right.
	And so what this does is that when Constantine's regularly misunderstood, the Edict of Milan didn't make Christianity the state religion of Rome.
	What it did was declare religious liberty.
	In other words, it made all religions legal, which meant that Christianity was legalized as well.
	So we misunderstand what Constantine did there.
	And that, by the way, was under the influence of Christians, that he wrote the Edict of Milan.
	But in any event, What that meant was essentially in Rome prior to Constantine, the government was Leviathan.
	The emperor's power extended into pretty much every area of life.
	What happens when Christianity is legalized is that the precedent is set that says that there is something that is not under the control of the state.
	The church is not part of the state.
	The emperor doesn't have authority over the church the way he did over Roman cults.
	And what that meant is that, well, if there's space for one thing that the emperor doesn't control, maybe there's space for others.
	And this cracks open the monopoly on power that the state had.
	It's actually the thing that I would argue was the death knell of Leviathan, because as soon as you allow one thing to have a degree of autonomy...
	It allows for the possibility of others.
	It allows for the possibility of the development of what's technically called civil society.
	The idea that there are intermediate institutions that stand between the individual and the state.
	So you have the family, you have business, you have labor, you have education.
	You have all of the Church.
	You have all of these other kinds of institutions.
	You've got service organizations.
	You've got all kinds of things that act as mediators between the individual and the state.
	That's impossible under Leviathan.
	It's impossible in the Roman Empire.
	It's impossible in totalitarian states.
	That's right.
	As you have the Christian Church, as you pointed out, for 300 years, longer than America's been around, they existed as a distinct institution.
	They grew, they spread very large, and then eventually they were acknowledged and they were given some, a bit of freedom.
	And then they start to create all these other institutions and they start to thrive.
	The gills, the fraternities, the charitable agencies, as you point out, the family and so forth.
	And that starts to spread this idea of different spheres of authority in contrast to Leviathan.
	And now it seems to me like, Glenn, I see what your opinion is, it seems like now all of that is now being reset and collapsed back into a centralized, controlled Leviathan.
	All these different institutions are being told, well, you're not essential.
	You're not going to be able to, you know, have a fraternity, family, meetings.
	You're not going to be able to have, you know, live the life that you want.
	We're going to now collapse all of that back down into a black hole of centralized authority.
	Yeah, and it really starts well before COVID.
	You know, the guy who really sort of codified the basic idea here was a guy named Abraham Kuyper.
	He was a Dutch politician and theologian who created You know, who developed an idea he called sphere sovereignty, which was a way of understanding how all of these different things work together.
	And basically what he said was, there are all of these areas that have a degree of autonomy, they're self-governing, and each of them should be functioning in its own area.
	The problem is, when one of them doesn't function right, what happens?
	Government steps in and takes over that area.
	Government's a legitimate sphere, it has legitimate areas of authority, but it doesn't have legitimate authority.
	In all of these other spheres, but if one of them starts, stops functioning correctly, the tendency is inevitably for the government to step in and take that one over.
	to try to make it work. But government is ill-equipped to do that.
	The government is equipped to do what the government is supposed to do.
	It's not supposed to come in and dictate family. It's not supposed to dictate education. It's not supposed to dictate business.
	It's not supposed to dictate labor. It's not supposed to do all that stuff.
	Yes, and they don't do a good job of that either.
	And that's really the failure of our times, as you point out, even before COVID-19.
	Right.
	The government was coming in whenever it would see a failure in the family, we'll address this with the schools, or they see addiction, they'll come in with a war on drugs.
	I've had many police officers say, you know, this isn't something that we're really good at.
	This is a medical issue, a psychological issue, a spiritual issue, and this isn't something that we can beat people over the head.
