And now, your host, David Knight.
♪♪ Welcome on this Wednesday, May 16th, 2018.
I'm David Knight.
We're going to be talking to Eric Peters later in the program.
You know, there's a lot of stuff that has come out in just the last couple of days.
And I'm not talking about whether or not Tesla is going to survive as a company.
But there are moves being made in the Trump administration to get rid of the corporate average fuel economy standard, which has had profound effects on the way that we have transportation right now.
It's basically, as Eric Peters has pointed out many times, it has pushed people out of cars into trucks and SUVs because you can't get a big American car that can seat nine people.
Yeah, we did have those once upon a time.
Now you get an SUV to seat nine people.
And after people got into these SUVs, decided they'd like to ride up high, they're probably not going to go back to cars.
But more than that, the reason they went to SUVs and trucks was because the corporate average fuel economy, the CAFE standards, exempted them.
But under Obama, they were going to radically increase the required mile-per-gallon issues.
That was going to basically make cars impossible for us to afford.
Electric cars, without the subsidy, are going to be very difficult to afford and they are going to not be as reliable as internal combustion engines.
You know, we've had BMW put out a statement because they're coming after the cars in Germany.
Many cities and areas are banning internal combustion engines, gasoline and diesel.
And so they are so concerned about this, they told their customers, who are reluctant now to buy anything, they said, if you go ahead and buy a car, if your car gets banned, says BMW, in an area that's within 65 miles of where you live, we will replace it with something that the government says is okay.
The government is always controlling our transportation, but nowhere in history have we seen the kinds of controls that are coming down the line.
And again, this goes back to Agenda 21.
It goes to the smart cities that we now see, the 5G applications that are out there.
So we're going to talk to him about the major landscape changes that are coming as we've seen several reports about vehicle fires that are very difficult to put out and the new released information from Waymo telling emergency providers how to respond to their cars that have No steering wheels and no brake pedals.
I find it interesting they feel this would be necessary to put out there because their cars are perfectly safe.
They're not going to have any accidents, right?
Oh, I guess they would say it's just the humans who are driving into their software.
The wetware that's driving into their software, as they like to refer to us.
We're going to be talking today about what is happening With the Gina Haspel confirmation, it looks like she's now secured the Senate votes to get a confirmation.
Rand Paul is still talking about this.
And we've had several Democrats that have said that they're going to support her.
Rand Paul had a great question.
And we're going to play this for you and see what you think about this.
His question is, she's been very high up in the CIA.
That's one of the things that people were pushing for her, saying, well, you know, she was involved in this torture stuff.
We don't really feel like it was immoral or illegal.
We think that it was effective.
But we're not going to do it anymore.
Well, that should raise some questions.
If it was all of those things, then why wouldn't you do it?
Wouldn't that be incompetent not to do it?
If it was moral, legal, and effective?
You're not doing your job then.
Come on, we need more torture.
But the other issue that Rand Paul is making is, what did she know about the deep state intelligence coup against President Trump?
That's a good question.
You know, as we've said all along, the surveillance of the American people that was revealed by Ed Snowden Was troubling enough, but the American people were not the ultimate target of this.
The ultimate target were our political leaders.
That's why I said that the coup, the attempted coup against Trump by the intelligence communities, the CIA, the NSA, the FBI, that was far more troubling and it should have been a wake-up call for people in Washington, but it isn't.
Even with Gina Haspel, it isn't.
I'm so excited.
The new product at m4warslife.com, in a glass bottle, two-month servings, filled to the brim, filled to the absolute top, the real red pill.
This is a heart and brain pill, a nootropic that doesn't have any stimulants in it.
But boy, does it stimulate, because it's beyond that.
Quite frankly, I just went off what I saw medical doctors prescribing to their patients, but it wasn't prescription, but they were charging people $100, $200.
For the formulae, and I came up with our own formula, working with some scientists and developers.
Non-GMO, made right here in America, 120 capsules.
And ladies and gentlemen, you add the preglanone to it, which is the precursor to all the hormones that your body has to have to even make the hormones in your glands.
It is amazing!
Red Pill, now available at Infowarsstore.com and your purchase fugs the operation.
You found it!
It's the real news.
Live from the Infowars.com studios in Austin, Texas, it's your host, David Knight.
Well, it's May 16th, 2018, and it looks like not only the federal government, but the American people are embracing the dark side.
Yeah, that's right.
Power always corrupts, doesn't it?
And I think no better case can be made of this than the NSA, the CIA, the FBI, as we see this.
And we're going to talk about the question that Rand Paul has for Gina Haspel.
He seems to be the only one in the Senate that has any concerns about this anymore.
That's truly amazing, I find.
As Politico points out, Gina Haspel now has won votes from four Democratic senators, allowing her to overcome any potential remaining opposition from either side of the aisle.
Senators Warner, Heitkamp, and Nelson moved to the yes camp after Haspel more strongly disavowed the agency's past interrogation program.
To which I ask, why disavow it?
If it's legal, if it's moral, if it's effective?
You shouldn't be disavowing this.
You should be owning it, Gina.
I want you to do things that are legal, moral, and effective.
So, if the torture program, or as you like to call it, the EIT, Enhanced Interrogation Tactics, if you like to, if you think this stuff is all moral, legal, and effective, you should be advocating for it.
You should be proud of it.
You shouldn't be deleting records about it after everybody decided that it wasn't legal, it wasn't moral, it wasn't effective, and then you went in and erased the records, flushing them down the memory hole.
You should be embracing this.
Embracing it.
But I just want to know if she disavows that obstruction of justice charge that should be there.
But of course we don't do any of that.
We had James Clapper lying under oath to the American people about dragnet surveillance about a month or so before we had Ed Snowden release the documentary proof that they were doing it.
And he said, no, no, Senator Wyden, no, no, we're not doing any of that.
And he got past his five-year statute of limitations.
So when you compare that to situations like General Flynn, who did not have a formal interrogation, he was not sworn in, he was not informed that he was under oath.
We've had James Comey and others say, I don't think he intentionally lied.
If he said something that was contradictory in some of the details, I don't think that he intentionally lied.
Even James Comey says that.
And so why is he going to jail when we've got the guy who was Director of National Intelligence Directly lying under oath and getting away with it.
Oh, but we can trust Gina Haspel.
She's good.
She's one of the good guys.
She's with the CIA and all those people, right?
All those people who are coming after President Trump.
This is not 4-D chess, folks.
This is not 4-D chess.
This is not even rational thinking.
It's wishful thinking.
They sent Warner a letter, she did, portraying the program's use of torture against detainees as a mistake.
Yeah, usual stuff.
Mistakes were made.
Oh, what mistakes?
Oh, just mistakes.
Mistakes were made.
We can't really say that we did anything wrong ever, can we?
Just mistakes were made.
Heidi Heitkamp, she's facing re-election.
She's also getting some Some pushback.
She said, Ms.
Haspel's involvement in torture is deeply troubling, as my friend and colleague John McCain so eloquently reminded us.
Oh, well, if it's torture.
See, she doesn't call it enhanced interrogation.
She calls it torture.
Oops.
Oops.
Was that a verbal statement or a written statement?
It must have been verbal to put that out there.
That's a gaffe.
You can't call it torture and then say, well, I still support her.
Another, Nelson, said Gina Haspel has publicly acknowledged that the CIA's enhanced interrogation program.
See, Nelson got it right.
Yeah, you call it enhanced interrogation.
Don't call it torture.
Should not have been undertaken and has vowed to uphold our nation's laws and values in leading the agency.
And then Mike Lee of Utah, I'm very disappointed in him, also came out in support of Haspel through a spokesman and I think that the ACLU National Political Director got it right when he said of Warner, he said, this is a fight that Warner simply didn't want to have.
And he's finding any excuse to avoid having it.
His statement should have just read, I don't want to pick a fight with Trump on torture and national security.
Sometimes fights are worth having.
Because, you know, we look at situations like the border, which isn't happening, and we look at other issues.
That's an existential issue.
But, you know, if we lose our soul, if we lose our morality, If we lose our rule of law, if we turn our government into terrorists.
Terrorists.
This is what surprises me so much about so many conservatives who are rightfully concerned about the government having a monopoly on firearms, but they let the government torture people.
They don't have a problem with the NDAA.
Indefinite detention by the military.
Without trial.
Rendition.
What are they going to do to you when they send you to the secret site?
Oh, well, I'm sure Gina Haspel won't do anything bad to anybody.
Maybe it'll be just a, you know, we can all have tea and elk barbecue afterwards.
Maybe some wine.
That'll be great.
As an op-ed on RT points out, Donald Trump is determined to revive one of the darkest chapters of U.S.
history by nominating Gina Haspel.
I think this is really the case.
And he needs to understand these people are not with him.
This is the deep state.
They have no law.
They have no morals.
They will do anything to anybody that gets in their way.
Perhaps that's why he's nominating her.
But he seemed to think that torture was effective.
He should read the letter from 109 retired admirals and generals.
But anyway, this guy says, for much of my surprise, I find myself for the first time in agreement with U.S.
Senator John McCain.
And that's me as well.
You know, we have to avoid the kind of mentality that says, I don't like John McCain, and because John McCain doesn't like torture, therefore I'm going to embrace torture.
That's just stupid and immoral to say that.
We can't divide ourselves along that line.
Occasionally, even somebody like John McCain can be right.
I don't agree with Ron Wyden on anything, but he was right when he got Clapper to admit that he was spying on the American people.
And then this op-ed page, Robert Bridge says, rewind to the 9-11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.
An event that traumatized the national psyche like none other in American history.
Instead of pursuing the culprits with a sense of honor, integrity, and decency, America succumbed to some of its darkest impulses.
Arguably, behaving no better than its sworn enemy.
That's the thing we always have to be careful of, that we don't turn into the monsters that we pursue.
He talks about the macabre images of the US soldier, Lindy England, dragging a naked Iraqi detainee across the floor at Abu Ghraib on a dog leash.
And in this atmosphere of sheer depravity and sadomasochism, enters Gina Haspel, who ran a black site located somewhere in the jungles of Thailand.
And since not even the precise location of those facilities has been established, what went on behind the walls is even lesser known.
A 2014 report by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and I read you some of that.
We're talking about the fact that this went on for three weeks with an individual who was put in a large coffin and a minuscule coffin in between the water torture And even the people there at the site, after less than a week of it, said, we're convinced that he doesn't know anything.
But the CIA had him do it for another couple of weeks anyway.
And they said, we're getting physically ill over this process.
But don't worry, it's not torture, as we're told by Tim Kennedy and other apologists for this depraved government that we have here.
Sadistic, depraved government.
Just amazing.
The CIA and the White House, they said, have dissuaded Congress from demanding that the agency answer questions and open testimony about the conditions under which captives are held.
Oh, that wasn't this week.
That was the Washington Post, back in 2005.
What was going on in 2005?
Well, at that point, Gina Haspel was in charge of all of this.
And the CIA and the White House, that would have been the Bush White House, said to Congress, don't look at any of this stuff.
And she was busy scrubbing records.
It said virtually nothing.
This is Washington Post, 2005.
Nothing is known about who was kept in the facilities, what interrogation methods were employed, how decisions were made about whether or not they should be detained or for how long.
That was what Gina Haspel was so intent Why would she do that if it wasn't wrong?
Why would she say we're not going to do it again if it wasn't wrong?
We'll be right back with a question from Rand Paul.

You're listening to Real News with David Knight.
So Gina Haspel who it appears has now secured votes thanks to several Democrats and Senator Mike Lee coming to her aid, not only ran torture at the
site.
She wasn't there at the very beginning, but she ran it later on.
But more troubling, as we saw Independent Senator Angus King out of Maine say, what was more troubling to him was the fact that she covered up What had happened at the site.
And why would she do that?
If, as she says, it wasn't immoral, it wasn't illegal, and it was effective, why would she do that?
And why would she say she's not going to do it again?
Going back again to 2005, the Washington Post was saying, we can't get any information from this.
The CIA and the Bush White House are stonewalling us on this.
And then in November of 2005, as the U.S.
Senate was debating whether or not to investigate the CIA's enhanced interrogation program, as to whether or not it was torture, and they had videotapes of what had happened there so we could look at it and we could see if it was torture, Gina Haspel destroyed those videotapes.
Isn't that interesting?
And then the CIA came out and the people who ordered the cover-up that Gina Haspel did came out and said she did fine.
There was no problem with that.
This is her statement.
There was an internal investigation of the issue conducted by one of my predecessors who found no fault with my actions and that my decisions were consistent with my obligations as an agency officer.
So the CIA cleared What she did for the CIA.
Isn't that great?
We got the Justice Department, we got the FBI investigating themselves and all these issues.
The CIA investigated Gina Haspel and investigated the torture and they said, uh, wipe that away and, oh, you did a good job and we're very happy with that.
And she goes on to say, my moral compass is strong.
I would not allow the CIA to undertake activity that I thought was immoral, even if it was technically legal.
Well, then why did she obstruct it?
Why did she engage herself in a cover-up?
And so Rand Paul asks, and this is his final question, he seems to be in the minority, a minority of one, who has a problem with putting people in charge of our dark government.
That's a good way to put it.
It's not just a deep state, it's a dark state.
Dark morally and totally hidden.
From the public and from congressional oversight.
Because they deleted all those tapes and so forth.
And they come after anybody, including even Dianne Feinstein.
One of their big-time supporters.
Came after her when she looked at torture.
The only whistleblower on all this goes to jail.
The only person to go to jail for all this.
John Kiriakou.
Rand Paul has this question about Gina Haspel.
Well, you know, I'm concerned that there are reports that John Brennan, the former head of the CIA under President Obama, that he was cooperating with British intelligence to spy on the Trump campaign.
This is a big deal.
Now, some are saying, oh, it was just incidentally collected.
It's still a big deal.
And there is a question, there are some accusations that it was actually ordered by President Obama's administration, either through John Brennan or others.
Gina Haspel is the acting director of the CIA.
She's high enough up in the CIA.
I think we should know what she knows about whether the Trump campaign was surveilled upon.
We do know that John Brennan, since he's left government, has become an outspoken partisan against the president in very defamatory terms.
So yes, I'm concerned about Gina Haspel being a close acolyte of John Brennan.
I'm also would like to know from her before she's appointed, if she is indeed appointed, I would like to know what does she know about the surveillance of the Trump campaign and why was the CIA involved?
Do you think that she shares former director Brenner's content?
I think that she is a close acolyte of John Brennan's.
I think some have called her a protege.
And I worry that now we've seen John Brennan's stripes.
We've seen that he's a dyed-in-the-wool partisan, a hater of Donald Trump.
And so I don't want people running our intelligence agencies that have an axe to ground or have some sort of partisanship lurking beneath the surface.
So there's many reasons why I oppose her.
Number one still is torture, that we shouldn't torture and we shouldn't reward somebody who's in charge of a torture program.
Number two, we were sending people to be tortured, the CIA was, sending people to be tortured in Assad's Syria.
Now we say Assad is a terrible guy because he gassed his people in all likelihood.
Well, we didn't.
Somebody in the CIA thought he was a great guy because he was so barbarian and would torture people.
The problem is about 20% of the people that were tortured were the wrong identity.
We got the wrong people.
And that just is a mistake in a dark period in our history and we shouldn't reward someone like Gina Haspel.
Do you hear that?
We're sending people to Syria, to Assad's Syria, to be tortured.
That was our CIA.
You know, we just saw, as they, as Avenatti, we'll talk about Avenatti and his porn party that's coming up here.
We'll talk about that coming up.
But you know, some of the stuff that he leaked, and a lot of questions as to where did he get this information, can he leak that kind of information about Michael Cohen?
Some of the stuff that he leaked were different Michael Cohens.
So what if they were to grab that information and get the wrong person, as Rand Paul said?
Which they did.
But we sent them to Syria.
This guy who is a monster, right?
Except we work with monsters, don't we?
Our CIA is a monster.
We don't need to go abroad, as I've said, looking for monsters to destroy.
That's one way to destroy our country.
Creating these kind of foreign entanglements, these endless foreign wars, the debt that comes along with it.
That's one way to destroy our country.
But if we allow these monsters that get us involved in these foreign wars, that create the regime change, that work with the very people that we're told we have to do everything to get Assad out of Syria.
We had the CIA arming ISIS.
We created ISIS.
That was, we were arming them out of Libya, the arms bazaar there, after we took down Muammar Gaddafi, and we'll talk about that coming up with the information about North Korea as they're pushing back on this.
We keep having John Bolton go on national television as if he doesn't think the Koreans are watching this.
I keep saying, yeah, we're going to do what we did in Libya.
We're going to do what we did in Libya.
Well, everybody knows what we did in Libya.
You know, we have our puppets.
Like we did Manuel Noriega, Saddam Hussein, all these guys worked for and with us.
And then ultimately we stick the knife in their back.
Same thing with Syria and the torture.
But Rand Paul is asking a very serious question here.
Was Gina Haspel involved with any surveillance of President Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign?
She is right up there at the top.
She is part of the inner circle.
We know That John Brennan was a very key player in all of this phony information, the maneuvers to try to overthrow the election, to try to overthrow President Trump?
Why are we selecting somebody that was involved in that, that was involved in torture?
This is suicidal.
I mean, this is absolutely amazing.
I just can't believe that President Trump, even if he thinks that torture is effective, would appoint somebody that was in on the deep state attempted coup against him as part of the upper echelon of the CIA.
It's a suicidal insanity.
Alright, coming up.
We hear everybody say, well, you know, I just want to be tough on terrorists.
I want to be tough on terror.
Well, you want to be tough on terror, why don't we secure the borders?
And why don't we stop channeling a lot of money to terrorists through welfare fraud in Minneapolis?
I've got that story coming up.
Big story that broke this last Sunday.
And of course, Keith Ellison, who is the Democrat representative, the Muslim Congressman from Minneapolis is now defending this.
The guy who wouldn't take an oath to office on the Bible, but only on the Quran.
Yeah, they call Minneapolis Little Mogadishu for a reason.

You know, I've interviewed John Kiriakou, the whistleblower who went to jail to expose the torture crimes that Gina Haspel is now being put in charge of the CIA for covering up.
And he said, I've interviewed him a couple of times, each time he said that he's been told by people that he worked for in the CIA that they were looking for people that had psychopathic tendencies.
They didn't want to get actual psychopaths, because it could be a little bit too hard to control.
But they wanted psychopathic tendencies.
But occasionally they do get psychopaths.
I think we've got one now that's going to be running the CIA.
But we're told that, you know, it's good.
We're going to be tough on terrorists.
And they will never do it to American citizens.
They respect the law, legal and moral, and it's very effective.
But they don't want to do it anymore.
I wonder why.
But if you want to get tough on terrorists, maybe you should start with millions of dollars.
How about a hundred million dollars?
of taxpayer money stolen by welfare fraud by Somali refugees in Keith Ellison's district in Minnesota that they call Little Mogadishu and then sent to terrorist groups abroad.
Yeah, why don't we start with that?
You want to get tough with terrorists?
Show me.
Show me that you really mean this.
Not that you're just using terrorism as a beard, like you used 9-11 to create a reign of terror on the American people and destroy any Bill of Rights, any human rights that we have in this country left.
That's what this is really about.
Don't tell me that you're trying to get tough on terrorists.
You're giving arms to ISIS.
You're using Syria and Assad.
As a test, as a torture site, as Rand Paul just pointed out.
It's just a beard.
And as New American points out, this is a story that was done by Fox 9 investigators in the Minneapolis area.
They got this tip.
Back on March 15th.
So they spent about two months on an investigation with this.
They aired the report this last Sunday.
So there's been a couple of news sites that have picked up on it.
I think the best summary is the one that New American had.
They point out, it looks like something from a movie.
A man is caught in an airport with a million dollars in cash in a carry-on suitcase.
Oh, no problem with that, right?
I mean, under the War on Drugs, you go in, you buy a ticket at the last minute, and you got some cash.
Well, they steal that cash.
Civil asset forfeiture.
We don't even have to prove that there was anything wrong.
We just suspect that maybe something was wrong.
And we don't have to charge you with any crimes.
We don't have to find you guilty.
We just take your cash.
That's been going on for 25, 30 years under the War on Drugs, thanks to Ronald Reagan's Department of Justice.
And I put that in quotes, air quotes, justice.
Ed Meese and his civil asset forfeiture.
But a million dollars in cash and a carry-on suitcase.
Some have called it the worst scandal in Minnesota history.
Keith Ellison is not calling it that.
Keith Ellison says it's okay.
It's alright.
These are Somali immigrants and they need to have this kind of capability that we're going to tell you about here in just a second.
A hundred million dollars have left the country and ended up in the Middle East and North Africa just last year.
And guess where the money came from?
These people who are sending the cash there, in many cases, are getting it with welfare fraud.
Laundering the money through daycare center fraud, child care fraud, that they get subsidized.
So these Somali migrants, refugees, come here in massive numbers, so much so, that uh... they can elect people like Keith Ellison so much so that people have said that minneapolis in many areas has become little Mogadishu And we know how little Mogadishu has worked out for those in Sweden.
They have to send their police in, in an armored bus.
They can't even drive in there themselves and leave their cars.
They have to go to a remote site, be carried into the police station that's under siege.
They had to build this fortress for the police station and their little Mogadishu.
But here's how it looks in the U.S.
Fox 9 broke this story on Sunday.
They said the currency was what's called from an Islamic model business that is called Hawalaz.
It's used by migrants to send money to countries that have no official banking system and no law and order.
So it's okay.
It's okay.
We make exceptions.
If you are an immigrant, that's okay.
You can carry suitcases full of cash.
We're not going to bother you.
And that cash can be money that was ripped off from American taxpayers fraudulently.
There was a former Seattle police detective, Glenn Kearns, discovered that some of the money was being funneled to a Hawala in the region of Somalia that is controlled by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group.
As Kearns dug deeper, he found that some of the individuals who were sending out tens of thousands of dollars worth of remittance payments happened to be on government assistance, what we typically call welfare in America.
How could they possibly come up with such big bucks to transfer back home?
Ah, that's the next step.
Welfare fraud, he said.
It's all about daycare centers and welfare fraud.
This Fox 9 TV channel in the area had begun an investigation five years ago.
They were the first ones to report that daycare fraud was on the rise in Minnesota.
They exposed how some businesses were gaming the system to steal millions of dollars in government subsidies meant to help low-income families with childcare expenses.
As one county attorney in Hennepin County said, it's a great way to make money.
And they came up with surveillance videos and a case that was prosecuted by the county shows parents checking their kids into a center only to leave with them a few minutes later.
So they're not leaving the kids there.
They just walk in, check them in, sign it in.
Sometimes no children would show up at all.
Either way, the center would bill the state for a full day of child care.
Video from the same case shows a man handing out envelopes of what are believed to be kickback payments to parents who are in on the fraud.
So they come in and fraudulently say that they're using this daycare center, and the daycare center says, oh okay, here's some money for being part of our fraud.
Worse still, if the money is sent back home for legitimate purposes, when it enters the areas controlled by the terrorist group Al-Shabaab, the jihadist group demands a cut.
Everybody's getting a piece of the action here, right?
You've got a welfare fraud scheme centered on daycare, supposed to be helping these poor refugees.
Instead, no child care is going on there.
The parents who drop it off get a cut.
And then when money gets sent back to Somali, all this money that they're getting, the terrorist group gets a cut when it comes into that area.
Fox 9 reports as well that the daycare scam is common in the Somali immigrant community with 10 centers currently being investigated and dozens more under suspicion.
10 are under investigation and dozens more are under suspicion.
It's so common, in fact, that a Somali descent politician was involved.
Fox 9 tells us that at the very moment that Fazia Ali was being sworn in as a member of the City of Hopkins Park Board, vowing to, quote, support the Constitution of the United States, she was under investigation for scamming more than a million dollars.
Through her child care center in South Minneapolis.
I wonder when she took that oath to the Constitution, was she swearing it on the Bible or was she swearing it on the Koran?
Because that's the way that Keith Ellison demanded that he be sworn into Congress as the Muslim congressman.
I think he was the very first one, but he was the first one to say, I'm not going to take an oath of office on the Bible, only on the Koran.
They say that submitted claims for payment through the state and federally funded child care assistant program, falsely inflated the number on any given day by 80 more children, including days when this newly signed in official, as she's signing it, as she's swearing in, going through the swearing in ceremony, they're investigating her for more than a million dollars.
And on any given day, they had more than 80 ghost children.
involved in her daycare center.
But you got Keith Ellison putting out a press release saying, not true, not true, we got poor people, they need this stuff.
Absolutely shameless, and you want to talk to me about being tough on terror?
You can't even get tough with the border.
The number of people, we'll talk about Lady DACA as we come back, and we'll talk about how Paul Ryan is huddling with President Trump on how they can move forward on doing something for the DACA recipients.
They can't.
They won't.
Let's just put it that way.
They won't protect our border.
And they won't protect us from this kind of fraud sending money.

Now, there's an interesting article that came out in the Guardian yesterday.
Didn't get to it yesterday.
Ecuador spent millions of dollars on spy operations for Julian Assange.
Did you realize that Ecuador was spending millions of dollars spying for Julian Assange?
Well, that headline is kind of misleading.
As a matter of fact, WikiLeaks is very angry about that and calling them out for that misleading headline.
The Guardian published a disingenuous article, as disobedient media says, and I just gave you that headline, revealed Ecuador spent millions on spy operations for Julian Assange.
No, it was on spy operations on Julian Assange.
Big difference.
Big difference.
Just a couple of letters there.
And this is authored by several people, including one individual that has been called out many times by Julian Assange himself, as well as The Guardian.
No love lost there between Julian Assange and The Guardian.
They said via Twitter, They said the article is by Luke Harding, an MI6 apologist and a serial fabricator who literally won plagiarist of the year.
The political utility of the article is to sabotage Assange's asylum.
And they said, I'm sorry, the headline and even the content of the story don't even match each other.
They said security personnel recorded in the Guardian, in the body of the article, security personnel recorded in minute detail Julian Assange's daily activities and his interactions with embassy staff, his legal team and other visitors.
And they also documented his changing mood.
This is what they're doing to you, by the way, as a group.
This type of treatment that they apply to individuals As they spy on Julian Assange, as they spy on President Trump and members of his team.
That kind of attention is given to the collective mind of the public.
They want to know if their narrative is working.
That's why the metadata is so important to them.
It's very scientific, the way that they are surveilling everybody.
But they, when they get some individual, Like President Trump or Julian Assange, they get very detailed on that individual, even looking at their changing moods.
As one of the people came back working with WikiLeaks said, the revelations of the Guardian on Ecuador spying on Julian Assange also means that all of our legal meetings and the vast list of lawyers were monitored and even filmed.
Even filmed.
About that.
In the past...
Julian Assange has taken on The Guardian.
He wrote an editorial back in 2014, The Snowden Files, Inside Story of the World's Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding is a hack job.
This is the guy who just did the hack job on Julian Assange.
He said it was a hack job in the purest sense of the term, pieced together from secondary sources, written with minimal additional research to be the first to market.
The book's thrifty origins are hard to miss.
The Guardian is a curiously inward-looking beast.
Julian Assange said that if any other institution tried to market its own experience of its own work nearly as persistently as The Guardian, it would surely be called out for institutional narcissism.
But because The Guardian is an embarrassingly central institution within the moribund left-of-center wing of the UK establishment, everyone holds their tongue.
Yeah, it's kind of interesting to me how statist, how establishment, how globalist in their outlook The Guardian is on so many different issues.
Again, going against Julian Assange, but also supporting open borders, supporting the climate change basis for the takeover of individual sovereignty.
It's amazing to me how they continue to get a pass, but as that's coming out, And as I talk about the fact that this whole thing was called Operation Guest, later became Operation Hotel, they were spending $66,000 a month for security intelligence, gathering counterintelligence to protect.
So that's what they were saying.
Well, we want to protect Julian Assange.
No, they weren't trying to protect Julian Assange.
The other thing that comes out of all this is your money, again, at work.
You know, while we've got this $100 million Being defrauded out of U.S.
taxpayers through welfare fraud, channeled through daycare centers, and a little mogadishu.
The constituents of Keith Ellison doing this and sending it, giving the jihadists a cut of all this.
We've also got the Pentagon spending another $87 million to support Operation Hotel against Julian Assange.
That's right, $87 million.
And to support efforts against the president that was friendly to Julian Assange.
They managed to get him out.
That's really what they were spending the money for.
They didn't give it directly to Operation Hotel.
They gave the 87 million dollars to get the previous Ecuadorian president, who gave asylum to Julian Assange, to get him out.
Because even though they were spending money to surveil Julian Assange, that wasn't good enough for the CIA.
And as UK Ambassador Craig Murray pointed out in 2012, he said, this money will find its way into opposition campaign coffers.
It'll be used to fund, to bribe, to blackmail media and officials.
Yeah, that's the way the CIA and the Pentagon always operate.
And so I just want to pass this out as well.
This was also on my desk yesterday.
I can't get this through.
When we go back to Snowden, the email program that he used, it's been around for quite some time.
It was a public domain, or still is a public domain program, PGP for pretty good privacy.
A guy did it for free.
He said, you know, I really do think that we need to start using encryption and I want to have it easy so that everybody uses encryption.
So that it doesn't put you under a microscope like Julian Assange or President Trump to use encrypted email.
And so he created PGP.
There's also another program, S-MIME, which I'm not familiar with.
Both of those are email encryption programs.
They have now been hacked.
And they are urging people to disable them, to uninstall them immediately.
These are university researchers from Münster and Bochum in Germany and another researcher in Belgium.
They discovered flaws in the encryption method.
They said there are currently no reliable fixes for the vulnerability.
And the times that I have talked to William Binney Former global technical head for the NSA.
And I asked him, I said, well, you know, should people use encryption and so forth?
He goes, if they're interested in you, they are going to get that information one way or the other.
And so now we see that that is truly happening.
Real quickly, take a look before we go to break, and we'll pick up more of this on the other side of the hour.
And then we're going to have Eric Peters join us to talk about the takeover of your freedom to move.
That's what we see happening now.
That's what's really behind the tectonic changes that are coming, the disruption that is coming in transportation.
So we're going to be talking to Eric Peters about that in the next hour.
Real quickly, we've got Trump allies that are calling Homeland Security Nielsen a never-Trumper.
Yes, she was always, always on the never-Trumper side.
We have former Bush official Frances Townsend praised her, as well for her DHS nomination, calling her tough as nails.
But during the 2016 presidential election, though Townsend signed a letter with other national security bureaucrats where she called Trump so utterly unfitted to office.
So how do we get these people that are so tied into the never Trump movement?
You know, we had President Trump have an extended session at a cabinet meeting.
Nobody denies it.
That he yelled at her extensively.
They denied that she had submitted or had put together a letter for resignation that she didn't put in.
But President Trump is exactly right.
Nothing is happening at the border.
He needs to understand, as I've said before, that just as he shut down the self-ratified Paris Climate Agreement, just as he shut down the self-ratified Obama-Iran deal, he can shut down DACA.
But his Homeland Security Secretary, Lady Dhaka, is actually using your money to broadcast to people, telling them to come and how to get in.
Western Europe has already banned free speech, and an iron curtain of censorship is descending down over the UK.
They're set to pass rules, not a law, that if you criticize Islam or gays, you'll get six months in prison.
We know we're only about a year or two behind what's happening in the UK.
CNN and many others are calling for InfoWars to be shut down, taken off the web.
Slate Magazine has a professor and others saying, go beyond censorship.
Brainwash young people against InfoWars.
Psychologically inoculate them with lies so they don't actually hear what we have to say.

You're listening to Real News with David Knight.
He's not sorry when snowflakes can't handle the truth.
It's your host, David Knight.
Now I was just talking about Lady Dhaka, who is head of Homeland Security, Nielsen.
And yesterday we had primaries in four states, and we had a Homeland Security official, a top department of Homeland Security official.
And his name is Christopher Krebs.
He's the current acting head of Cyber and Infrastructure Protection Unit.
Well, he met with the Pennsylvania Secretary of State and other officials yesterday, and he was warning them, or talking to them, about making sure that their digital systems were secure.
And as I was finishing up in the last segment, I said, you know, William Binney has told us as we look at PGP and we look at these other email encryption programs that have been mentioned and discovered that they had vulnerabilities, he said, there is nothing that is secure if it is digital and if it is connected to the web.
And that includes our voting machines.
The only way that we're going to have secure voting and honest voting is if we get rid of the electronic voting systems.
And let's not forget that it was the feds that hacked multiple board of elections.
You know, they said, hey, look, we are under kind of a cyber attack.
And look, we've traced it back to Washington, not to Russia.
But now they're coming around saying, well, Pennsylvania is one of 21 states targeted by Russian hackers.
How soon we forget?
Let me tell you something.
The people in Washington are far more interested in manipulating and controlling our elections than the people in Russia are.
They've got far more of a direct connection, a payoff, there.
Russia, yeah, foreign countries would love to control our elections.
That's what we do to other foreign countries.
But there's many ways that that can be done.
Traditionally, bribes and other things that are far more effective.
They can have a defense department create a massive arms program that's going to keep us in check.
There's a lot of different things that they can do to leverage that control.
But the people in Washington and the people who can stand to benefit tremendously from the incredible astronomical amount of money that is in Washington, as I've said before, it is like a black hole for corruption.
When you have that much money there in that pot, it becomes a black hole, just bringing in every crook and criminal, not only from the United States, but internationally.
And they want to make sure that they get the right people involved there.
They are the ones who have the most interest in manipulating our elections.
And let's not forget that Venezuela and Hugo Chavez were the pioneers in electronic voting.
Yeah, the biggest, Smartmatic and some of these other companies now that have gone international, and of course they've changed hands multiple times, but there are people out of, engineers out of Venezuela that created electronic voting.
That's how you get the 90 plus percent votes for your communist dictator, the easiest way to get it.
Yeah, there's a lot of different ways that you can corrupt the system, but, you know, if you can get people to have electronic voting systems, there is no security in that.
Every time we have an election, we show you pictures of college professors with their students going out and putting a thumb drive into a voting machine and then pulling it out.
And having that voting machine change X number of votes out of every Y votes cast to a particular candidate.
So no matter what you push, it will show you that, oh yeah, you selected this candidate A, but then it casts a vote for candidate B.
Then it reports a tally, and it erases itself.
We have shown you this being done by local news reporters over and over again.
And the very fact that you had Smartmatic involved in rigging elections in Brazil, where communists got involved, got there, they all know that that was rigged, in the Philippines, in multiple places in Central and South America, and then they are selling machines here in the United States as well.
And how do you detect that kind of fraud?
Well, you detect it with exit polls.
The U.S.
does its exit polls.
They say, well, we know this election was rigged in a foreign country because the reported results are more than 5% different from the official results.
And so we have exit polls here, run by one organization.
And they never tell you, do they, what the totals are.
They'll only tell you, well, this many people in that demographic, that sub-demographic, voted for candidate A and that many voted for candidate B.
We'll be right back.

You found it!
It's the real news!
You found it. It's the real news. Live from the Infowars.com studios in Austin, Texas, it's your host, David Knight.
As I was saying at the top of the hour, we had the top Department of Homeland Security official in charge of cyber and infrastructure protection meeting with election officials in Pennsylvania.
Saying, we just want to make sure that everything is secure here.
And you can't secure electronic voting machines, as I was saying at the top of the hour.
The only way you're going to have secure voting is if you do it with paper ballots.
And you have human observers.
And they observed these ballots and they are, you have observers go with the ballots to make sure that the chain of custody is legitimate.
And they stay there as the hand ballots are totaled, and the tallies are transmitted, and you make sure that nothing gets switched around with all that.
That's the only way that you're going to have secure elections.
The more they turn this into a digital system, the easier it is for them to game and to hack this system.
Just like they have shut down the PGP and other encrypted programs, you know, those have some bugs that they discovered but they can break them as William Binney has said, the former global technical head of the NSA.
He says there isn't anything that can't be hacked into.
And so when we look at what AP is now offering in terms of exit polling, they're saying they're going to now have an elaborate electronic voter survey that is going to replace traditional in-person exit polls.
So you're going to make sure that the results match.
And you can do it all electronically.
You put in the desired result in your voting machines and in your electronic polls.
And we just get rid of all those pesky in-person interviews and those paper ballots.
And you need to understand, you need to smell the rat that is a part of these exit pollings to begin.
As I said, if the State Department, the American State Department has consistently said, hey look, if there is a difference of more than 5% between the official results in an election and the exit polls in an election, then it's fraudulent.
In Brazil, where the communist that is now, she's now been put out of office, I believe.
There was a big scandal there.
But, running up to the election, at a major soccer game, or as they call it, a football game, everywhere except in the United States they call it football, a major crowd of about 60,000 people, and she was booed off the stage a day or two before the election.
Polls showed her losing by a substantial margin.
And then everything went down on election day and she somehow won.
And the people who were doing the exit polling, there was one organization, just like here in the United States, they took a powder that day.
And so there's nobody to say that it was fraudulent, but everybody knew that it was fraudulent.
And when we get our exit polling, all of the mainstream media that feeds you all the election results every night, every time we have an election, they get all of their exit polling from one organization.
One organization.
And of course they're going out and they're doing in-person interviews with people as they come out of the exit poll.
That's going to change.
Now they're going to automate that.
But even with the information that they have, have you ever Ever seen?
Because I haven't.
I've been watching politics pretty closely for a very long time.
I have never seen a comparison on our media saying that Candidate A got this much and Candidate B got that much.
And the exit poll said that Candidate A got this much total votes and Candidate B got that many total votes.
They'll always tell you by demographics, they'll say, well, this, you know, this percentage of women supported Candidate A.
And this percentage of men supported candidate A and, you know, they'll break it down by Democrat, by Democrats, by demographics in terms of sex and education and income and race and so forth, but they will never give you the total.
Why?
Well, that might look kind of fishy if that was a spread there.
So now they're going to be able to cover that up as well.
Let's talk a little bit more about immigration.
We've just had a federal judge release an illegal alien after ramming a car into a daycare center.
This is in Marion County, Indiana.
A federal judge appointed by Ronald Reagan, the same guy who gave us our first amnesty program, released an illegal alien from Mexico, Juana Loa Nunez.
She was charged with ramming a car into a church daycare center and fleeing the scene.
The teacher that was there sustained a broken leg.
Nunez has no driver's license.
She's an undocumented driver as well as an undocumented illegal alien.
She was released on only $250 bail.
And guess what?
She has disappeared!
The judge ordered the release because ICE Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE failed, they said, to provide a criminal warrant or a criminal probable cause affidavit for them to detain the foreign citizen criminally trespassing and driving without a license.
And what ICE is saying, well, we gave them an immigration detainer.
And they said, oh, well, you gave us a detainer, saying to Holder, but you didn't give us a criminal warrant or a criminal probable cause.
It's like, well, you know, it still is a crime.
Even though you don't call them illegal aliens, it still is a crime to criminally trespass and to stay here in this country.
But they let her go.
And it's kind of interesting that they said this is not required for American citizens or legal immigrants.
Only illegals benefit from this rule.
So, you know, you can, you know, American citizens, they don't get through this loophole.
This is something special treatment that is given just for illegal aliens.
ICE said without any regard for the safety of its citizens, Marion County brazenly ignored an immigration detainer and released a Mexican woman from its jail without first notifying ICE.
Jeff Sessions says in response to a lot of people who are complaining about, you've got a lot of mainstream media getting on the side of this situation in Tennessee.
We had the meat packer, they had a hundred illegal aliens there, and everybody's saying, look at this!
They've broken up families, they've arrested these people.
I would like to see some action taken against the person who was running his Tennessee meat processing plant.
on cheap foreign labor.
That's what I would also like to see.
But as they remove these people who are illegal aliens, everybody's saying, but now we've got 160 kids who don't have a father here or mother, whatever the situation is.
And I think Breitbart got it right when they said one employer of illegals put 160 children in Tennessee school districts See, that's the real issue.
That's where the real American dream is going away.
Because you pay the taxes that you pay to support these schools, to support these children who are brought in.
Oh, we've got to do everything for the DACA kids.
We've got to do everything for the kids.
And yet they're being brought in here illegally.
We can't tell at the border if people are economic refugees or if they're terrorists.
We can't do any vetting.
And then the tab goes on to the cost of your housing.
So you're going to have a smaller home.
It's going to affect the size of your apartment.
You're not going to see it itemized in terms of your property tax payment, but that's the point.
This guy, this Tennessee meatpacker, is bringing in these people and that tab for their kids' education is being put on your home tax bill.
Ted Cruz took a look at Israel and he says, well, it's undoubtedly a model for securing our borders.
He says, borders are ensuring that innocent men, women, and children are not murdered by terrorists seeking to destroy them.
And I would say that includes a situation where you've got people fleeing El Salvador trying to get away from MS-13.
As I've said many times, going all the way up to Long Island, New York, where my wife grew up, now they've got 400 MS-13 members up there.
Homeland knows that they're MS-13 members.
I mean, it's not too hard to determine.
They've got it written all over their faces in most cases, tattoos and so forth.
But they're not going to do anything about it.
They can be an MS-13.
They can be illegal aliens.
We just got to watch them until they do something criminal.
Until they kill Some of the other illegal immigrants who just came here for economic purposes said we were hoping we could get away from MS-13.
You can't get away from them if you don't have any border control.
So what they're going to do is they're going to put lie-detecting computer kiosks at the border.
Yeah, they're going to get tough at the border.
Lie detectors!
My wife was a district personnel manager for a convenience store chain.
Let me tell you something.
Polygraphs don't work.
And you can hook it up to a fancy computer with flashing lights.
That's going to be your vetting?
Your border protection?
Are you serious?
Maybe they should put some lie detectors in Congress.
That's where we really need them.
And the Department of Justice.

You know, Thomas Jefferson said, the God that gave us life gave us liberty at the same time.
He said, the hand of force can destroy them.
Government can destroy life and liberty.
He said, but it cannot disjoin them.
It cannot separate those two.
You don't have one without the other.
And I would say that today we need to add to that equation mobility.
Freedom of movement.
You know, Eric Peters is joining us now.
He writes about cars, about mobility and liberty.
You can't have liberty without mobility.
The military understands this.
They talk all the time about how you control population.
You have to control the way they shoot, the way they communicate, and the way they move.
Except the first thing they put there is they don't put movement last, they put it there first.
And we don't have a constitutional amendment that protects that.
I mean, we've got a constitutional amendment that protects our communication, and the way that we talk to each other, and our ability to shoot, but of course those are directly under attack.
What do you think is happening to our freedom of movement that is so essential to our liberty?
Eric Peter's website is epautos.com.
It is a great place.
If you're looking for a car, you want an objective opinion, he does real car reviews, but he also talks about the bigger picture of liberty as well in separate articles.
So we want to talk to Eric today about some of the failure modes that have happened that we've seen in the last couple of weeks with Tesla and A couple of different modes.
Some of it is autopilot, some of it is the electric vehicle itself, which is not limited to, that type of failure is not limited to Tesla.
Sometimes some of these failures that we've seen coming so quickly in the last several days, sometimes both of those are involved in a single crash.
And then we're going to talk about crony capitalism and the model that is here and what is coming in terms of fuel costs.
There's a hidden tax that Eric has written about on EP Auto.
So we're going to get into that hidden tax.
It's not just what's happening in terms of the Middle East political instability.
There is a hidden tax that is on its way.
So joining us now is Eric Peters.
Thank you for joining us, Eric.
Well, good to be back, David.
Thank you for having me.
Let's talk first about these failures.
You know, we had autopilot, and as I pointed out yesterday, we've had a couple of autopilot crashes with Tesla in the last couple of weeks.
But a good example of this, and you've talked about how autopilot gives the perception that it's something like we have in airplanes.
And we saw that Chinese airline with the Airbus windshield in the pilot's compartment blew out And the co-pilot was barely hanging in there.
He had a seatbelt, but he was halfway out of the cockpit, and the pilot said everything broke down.
He had to manually land it by hand, and that's why we have human drivers, by the way.
But, you know, it's a whole different situation autopilot on the street, isn't it?
It is because, in part, these automated cars that they're pushing ultimately will not have redundant controls that permit the driver to intervene in the event that there is a software or mechanical failure with the autodrive system.
So, effectively, you're at the mercy of the software and the hardware, and better pray that it works if the car decides to steer into a concrete barrier, and you don't have a steering wheel, you're going in the concrete barrier.
Yeah, and we see that the model, when we look at the two different models for controlling cars, Tesla has gone down the road and most of the automobile manufacturers have gone down the road of saying that we're going to have a system that is capable of doing, you know, Pretty much everything for you, but if it gets into a situation where it can't handle it, an emergency situation, then it's going to just throw it back in your lap real quickly and you better be awake and paying attention.
Google and their company Waymo has taken a different approach.
They want to put you in a box with no steering wheel and no brake because they're going to take all this on to themselves.
And I don't know which one is worse.
I think both of those are bad models, aren't they?
Well, they're both bad models, but at least in the case of the fully automated car, you can't blame the driver.
In the case of Tesla, you're putting the driver in an impossible position.
On the one hand, you're putting technology in the car which takes over responsibility for driving the car, which encourages the driver to not drive the car, to do something else.
To take a nap, to check email, to text.
But then at the same time, the expectation is that somehow the driver is going to be able to notice that there's a problem and take action in time to avoid an accident.
And that's absurd.
You're either paying attention to your driving or you're not.
That's right.
And that's what we saw in one of these crashes where you had a woman who admitted that she was looking down, playing with her phone.
The car was going 60 miles an hour and without even slowing down, it plowed into the back of a fire truck.
Sure.
Didn't give her any warning.
The car is going to drive itself, so why should she bother with paying attention to driving?
Yeah, exactly.
Now, Elon Musk looks at this and says, well, here's the silver lining.
She survived.
She just had a broken ankle and she survived in that.
Now, the reason she survived, as we know, Eric, is because in a frontal collision like that where they don't have an engine in the front, that's one of the things that cars that have a mid-engine engine or a rear engine, they can do better in frontal collisions because they've got a A collapsing area there that can be crushed, a crumple zone, and not push the engine back into the car.
Yeah, so they have that, but then what happens is we've seen the same thing happen where you've got Tesla vehicles that crash into a barrier and once it goes beyond a certain point and compromises those batteries, that's the second failure mode that we've seen.
When those batteries get compromised, some very nasty things happen, don't they?
They do, and it's a two-fold problem.
The first problem is that the batteries are inherently combustible.
They contain their own oxidizer, meaning that if the chemicals that are within the battery come into uncontrolled contact, they'll have thermal runaway, that's the term for it, and will spontaneously combust and burn extremely hot, extremely quickly.
That's the first problem.
The second problem is that the nature of the batteries is such that they have to be spread out over the entire length of the car.
A lot of people don't realize this.
The 12-volt starter battery that's in a typical car is much smaller and it's located in one part of the car.
Your gas tank, which contains the fuel, is also smaller and it's located in one particular part of the car.
Generally, it's in the rear part of the car.
These electric battery packs generally run the entire length of the car, and what that means is that the battery pack is vulnerable regardless of the type of accident that you get into.
If you get a frontal impact, if somebody rear-ends you, if you get hit from the side, any of those scenarios, the car is equally vulnerable to damage to the battery pack, and if the structural integrity of the battery pack is breached, then you have a fire, and that's what's been happening in these cases that we've been reading about.
Yeah, and as you pointed out, when you talked about the electric vehicle fires at AP Autos, you pointed out that, you know, we go back to the Pinto, and Ford was rightfully criticized.
They could have taken steps, engineering pointed out, they said, look, it'll cost us much to fix this design flaw that doesn't protect the gas tank, and they said, yeah, but we can, it'll cost us less if we have lawsuits, so we'll just leave it the way that it is.
And in this situation, the scenario that they have with the Model X, for example, I'm looking at a picture here of the Model X. You've got a large floor that is filled with the batteries, and that is located under the entire passenger compartment area between the two axles.
So if it gets hit obliquely, or if it gets hit from the side, or if you have a bad enough frontal or rear collision that it compromises those batteries, now the whole thing becomes a pentogastric Yeah, and that's actually, that's a third element that should be discussed here.
This is not like a gas fire.
It requires different firefighting techniques and equipment to deal with one of these fires.
And they burn so hot and for so long that there's an ongoing fire risk for I think it's up to 24 hours after the fire is nominally put out because it can just spontaneously re-erupt because of the nature of the chemicals in the battery.
We gotta take a break.
We're gonna be right back.
As a matter of fact, the Tesla battery pack from that fatality back in October, it reignited in a warehouse six days later.
This is like those birthday candles that never go out.

Introducing Pollen Block.
We have found an extraordinary new, natural way to alleviate seasonal distress symptoms, including promoting clear nasal and sinus passageways, eye comfort, and respiratory function.
In the 1960s, researchers in France noticed that people who ate certain quail eggs experienced less seasonal immune and inflammatory responses.
They began studying this effect in published trials, and decades later, we now have the fruit of this research.
A fast-acting, chewable tablet that helps alleviate seasonal distress symptoms.
Pollen block is natural and effective.
It is not an antihistamine.
In fact, current research has found that it actually acts by blocking the activity of tryptase.
Which is an enzyme that amplifies immune and inflammatory responses in the body.
Go outside and enjoy the air you breathe.
Head to Infowarslife.com and grab a pack of our Pollen Block chewable tablets.
You're listening to Real News with David Knight.
Making sense common again.
It's your host, David Knight.
Welcome back.
I'm David Knight, and we're talking to Eric Peters.
He's an automotive journalist, but he's also somebody who cares about liberty.
Liberty and mobility.
And you better care about this as well.
Because the government is trying to take away your liberty by taking away your mobility.
You know, there's an article that was just on The Hill talking about how mass transit is collapsing everywhere.
The government wants to control your transportation.
They're desperate to control it.
And you know if you live in a city.
That ridership, if there is any, is severely declining.
They pointed out that nationwide transit ridership in March 2018 was 5.9% below a year prior to that.
They talk about some of the fastest growing cities like Austin and Charlotte.
They said Austin lost 19.5% of the people riding their public transportation, even though the city is one of the fastest growing in the country.
Same thing in Charlotte, 15.5% decline.
And as Bloomberg is looking at this, they say, well, you know, we just need to have light rail.
Everybody knows that light rail is a boondoggle that nobody wants either.
Even the Simpsons have made fun of light rail.
So what do they do?
They want to keep you in the cities, so they're coming up with these systems of electric cars that are going to be autonomous or controlled by them, we should say.
They're robo-taxis where they can track and tax you every mile away.
And so this is essentially a form of mass transit.
This is why they are advantaging some corporations and some industries and some forms of of engines over others. They want to try to ban internal combustion engines, but then the electric vehicles, as we've been talking about, they want to go ahead and push that onto the roads without your knowledge or consent. You become a unwilling test subject as they push these things on the road.
And Eric, as we're going to break, and we're talking about these electric vehicle fires, I just mentioned that this one that was involved last October where the Apple engineer died, they had both the autopilot failed, and then there was a fiery crash that trapped him in there and burned the vehicle there.
So he had both of those things involved in it.
You know, the one that was in Fort Lauderdale with the two teens that were trapped in the car.
One was ejected from the car, not wearing a seatbelt.
The other two that were in the car, that were trapped in there, they were instantly burned to death because it happened so quickly and so intensely.
But this car out of California, six days after the fire department had taken it out, six days after, it caught fire again.
And they said, we don't even have the tools to control this kind of fire.
Well, they don't.
And again, it's interesting that this presents both a safety and an environmental risk.
Real ones.
And, you know, we constantly are lectured about safety and the environment.
And those things are brought forward as the excuse to regulate and tax us.
But somehow, when it comes to this particular safety and environmental issue, there seems to be a pass given.
And I think that that's really rather interesting.
Yeah, yeah.
They said, the Mountain View Fire Department said, we don't have the tools to deal with a battery that is completely, basically destroyed.
He said, this is a high-voltage direct current that could result in lethal electrical shock.
The battery began to overheat, even though we'd already cooled the battery, and it continued to reignite.
They couldn't control this.
Days later, they had one of these fires.
Thirty-five firemen, five trucks, and it took them two hours in Austria to try to get this thing under control.
And these are toxic fumes that are coming off at the same time as well.
That's right.
Oh, and by the way, some hybrids have a similar problem.
They have very high voltage wiring, 400 volts or more.
And if you get into an accident, let's say, and the car is on fire, and they bring the jaws of life to try to cut you out, there is an electrocution hazard for the EMTs when they come and try to cut you out of the car.
Yes, yes.
As a matter of fact, in 2014, Tesla warned in their guide, and let's hope that the fire departments read these guides for the electric vehicles, they said, do not cut, crush, or touch high-voltage components.
So these people, as you're pointing out, the rescue workers come there to try to get the people out of the burning vehicle, or otherwise, and they crush, or maybe it's not on fire, and then they try the jaws of life, and then the thing will catch fire and blow up on them.
But these are technical problems.
And these are things that could be solved as part of this, but the question is, why is the government so hell-bent on doing this?
You've got an article talking about another car company, another start-up, Elio.
They're showing a picture of that Austrian fire there that took two hours.
You're talking about Elio, and you know, typically I'm on the side of the underdog.
Yeah, I wanted to see DeLorean succeed.
You look at the movie about Tucker, you hate to see what happened to him as well.
But when we look at some of these other car companies and the heavy subsidies like Tesla is getting on this, you have to ask yourself, Why they put all these obstacles in the way of, and they have gotten some subsidies, Elio has, but for the most part, this is a story that tells us what Washington is doing to keep us from having affordable cars, isn't it?
Well, yeah, and I think that's exactly the point.
Eloy's cars are simple, highly efficient, and inexpensive.
This is a three-wheel auto cycle that would average in excess of 80 miles per gallon and cost the buyer less than $8,000.
So it stands in stark contrast to these electric cars, the least expensive of which, which is the Nissan Leaf, heavily subsidized at a $30,000 price.
Yeah.
That's pretty amazing.
And it was very attractive.
A lot of people put deposits down on this.
They're having trouble with getting it into production.
Same problem that Elon Musk is having.
I mean, that is the hardest thing.
You can go out and you can build a boutique car company that sells cars that are hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions of dollars and just crank out a few of those a year.
If you want to mass produce something, that's a whole different animal as Elon Musk is finding out.
That was the daunting challenge for Elio, trying to get this out.
But it's an interesting car because, as you pointed out, it was three wheels, it had a very narrow profile, so they went ultra-simple instead of ultra-high-tech.
They got rid of a lot of expensive things that the federal government mandates on cars, and they made it so that you could decide to what level you wanted to get accessories added to it.
They got the weight down, they got the wind reduction down.
And they were able to do this by saying that because it's three wheels, it's not technically a car, so they were doing that to avoid federal mandates.
Right.
Well, and that's exactly one thing that I wanted to bring up.
It's very helpful when you have a product that people are forced to buy.
In the case of the electric cars, you have all of these production mandates and these purchase mandates.
People have to buy these things in certain numbers in certain states like California, and that creates a market.
It's really a distortion to even use that term.
But nobody is being forced to buy Helioids.
And, you know, they have to be sold on the merits.
And I think they have tremendous merits.
But he's having difficulties with it in part because of the regulatory apparat.
Is it a car, or is it a motorcycle, or is it an auto cycle?
And then there are state-level regulations that apply differently depending on what it is.
For example, if it's considered a motorcycle, even if it's enclosed, you're obliged to wear a helmet in the thing.
And a lot of people who want to buy a car don't want to wear a helmet when they go for a drive.
Yeah, it's fully enclosed.
It's got a roof and windows and everything.
Yeah, and on the other hand, if it's classified as a car for regulatory purposes, then it has to meet certain other standards, like, for example, the roof crush standard or the offset barrier impact standard.
And those things get to be extremely expensive to comply with, particularly for a very small, very lightweight vehicle like this.
This only weighs 1,200 pounds, which is about 200 or so pounds more than a full-dress Harley or a Honda Goldwing motorcycle.
Yeah, if you could stuff a big engine in it, that might be a lot of fun.
Well, how about stuffing a diesel in it and the thing would probably get 150 miles per gallon.
That's right.
Yeah, the point is, is that this was something that he was setting up for people who just wanted a commuting vehicle.
It wasn't going to It was going to be the family car.
It wasn't going to be an SUV or a pickup truck or something like that.
It was going to be something you pick up between $6,000 and $8,000.
You'd get 80 miles per gallon.
And he was even going to set things up so that you could pay it off by paying a little bit every time you filled it up at the tank.
I mean, he had some innovative ideas there.
And it's a shame to see that shut down.
And it's really being shut down by the heavy hand of government just as the government is lifting up
uh... the electric vehicle uh... industry subsidizing them to the nth degree well i think the object of the exercise here is to make driving uh... both expensive and inconvenient that's yes uh... you know that ultimately the object with the electric cars because if you look at him from any rational point of view is this is this vehicle easier for me to use than a standard car no the answer is no does it cost less for me to use this car than a standard car and the answer again is no so why would any rational person want one That's right, that's right.
It's to take away individual ownership.
They want to turn everyone into renters.
That's a big part of the plan.
That's a big part of the UN agenda for our cities.
Make everybody a renter.
You won't own anything, even a little tiny commuter car like that.
They don't want you to have something like that.
When we come back, we're going to talk about the hidden gas tax that is on its way.
We'll be right back with Eric Heders.
I'm David Knight.
They're set to pass rules, not a law, that if you criticize Islam or gays, you'll get six months in prison.

That's Infowarslife.com You're listening to Real News with David Knight.
On the first part of the journey, I was looking at all the life Bye.
Welcome back, I'm David Knight and we're talking to Eric Peters of EP Autos and we're not talking about riding a horse, we're actually talking about what we're going to be riding or if it's going to be controlled by the government.
Taxing and tracking are every movement.
Their efforts to have mass transit are collapsing around them.
As we pointed out, nearly 20% decline in use in Austin, one of the fastest growing countries in the country.
Same thing in Charlotte.
And still, they've got declining ridership.
You know, we've got these buses that are driving around here, and if they get self-driving buses, you won't have a single human in there, because they'll replace the driver, so you'll probably just have these empty buses going along.
Unless that's the only transportation, then they'll force you into that.
That's what they really want.
That's why they're working so hard with these large corporations, giving them subsidies and advantages to design things that you're not going to be able to afford, things that aren't going to last.
They want to turn you into renters who have to depend on them.
I want to talk to Eric now.
Eric, let's talk a little bit about the fuel side of this.
You know, we've had a decline in gas prices for the last couple of years, from 2014 to 2016.
However, in the last month, Americans shelled out an extra $4.4 billion for gas in just one month, according to Market Watch.
And this is money they're not going to have to spend on other things.
This is because of the political situation that's happening in the Middle East.
Coming down the future, we've had the Trump administration pushing back against this corporate average fuel economy boost that was generated in California.
And that's a good thing.
That's a long-term good thing.
But in the immediate term, we have the gas shock that's going to be coming to us from the Middle East unrest.
But then there's another hidden tax that's on its way.
You wrote about on EP Autos.
Tell us about that.
Well, there's a collusive movement afoot that involves both the car industry and our friends in the ethanol lobby to impose a mandate that the only fuel sold in the country, or the dominant fuel, be high-octane premium fuel.
And as everyone out there knows, premium fuel generally costs between $0.30 and $0.50 more per gallon than regular unleaded.
So potentially, it's a way for them to effectively almost double the current motor fuels tax.
The current tax is roughly about $0.50 per gallon.
So if you're forced to buy premium on top of that, you're looking at paying pretty much a buck or more just in taxes on every gallon of fuel that you buy.
And this is something that has a real risk of getting passed because the ethanol lobby is tied into the farm industry.
They're making it typically from Midwest corn.
And this would be something for President Trump as he's putting sanctions on and other countries might be replying with counter sanctions, especially China said, well, if you're going to put sanctions on our 10 to 1 differential that we've got here on steel, You know, we charge 10 times more on taxes on steel coming into China than you charge on steel that we sell into the United States.
So if you try to equalize that, we're going to put some punitive tariffs on agricultural stuff because we know those are the people who voted for you, President Trump.
So he's going to have a lot of pressure to go along with this ethanol lobby.
And we already saw in the primaries leading up to 2016 elections, when Ted Cruz went there and spoke against the ethanol subsidy, he was basically done at that point.
Yeah, what people should realize, this is kind of a pernicious side effect of these government fuel economy mandates.
The car industry is desperate to figure out a way to get more miles per gallon out of the cars that it sells.
And one way that they think that they can do that, well one way they can do it, is by using this high octane fuel in high compression engines.
You do see both a power and an efficiency gain from using high octane fuel.
Ethanol is an octane enhancer.
The problem, though, is that there are millions of people who have cars that don't need high-octane fuel because their engines are not high-compression engines.
So those people will be paying two ways.
They'll be paying more for the fuel, number one, and number two, they'll see reduced mileage and performance in their cars because those engines, when you feed an engine that wasn't designed for high-octane fuel premium, the engine is not optimized and its efficiency will actually go down.
Well that's a benefit for them because they want to get rid of all the older cars that people have already paid for, the cars that can be fixed and kept on the road, the cars that are durable.
They want to get rid of those so they can sell you expensive cars that you're not going to be able to keep for a long time because the lithium batteries are going to have a limited lifetime and it's going to be equivalent to replacing the entire car in a few years.
So it's only going to make sense to rent them and the people that are going to rent them are going to be renting them to you by the mile.
Well, this is, again, I don't necessarily put all the blame on their shoulders.
they're not really even interested in selling vehicles, let alone cars, but not vehicles at all.
They see themselves as mobility companies and they want to rent you the information, rent you the car.
Well, this is, again, I don't necessarily put all the blame on their shoulders.
They're trying to figure out a way to stay in business.
And the combination of the mandates and also our debt-fueled society has pushed the price of a car to such a high extent that the average person can no longer afford to buy one.
The average car loan is now at least six years, in some cases six and seven years, and they're up against the wall.
People can't afford to buy the car.
So what's the solution?
Well, we'll rent them the car.
So that's our new business model going forward.
That's right, that's right.
And the government wants them to do that, because then the government is going to be able to put pressure on these few large companies that rent the cars.
Let's talk about the fact that they're outright banning cars in many places in Germany and elsewhere.
In the UK, if you've got a diesel car, because they're starting with diesel, but then they're going to go to the other internal combustion engines.
If you've got a diesel car, they charge you way more just to park it.
In the UK.
And then you've got areas in Germany where they are banning the use of any internal combustion engines to the extent that you've now got BMW saying, if your car is banned, we'll let you swap it for a different model.
They can see this coming very rapidly and they're concerned that people are going to hold off buying any internal combustion engine cars because they're all going to be banned.
So they say, well, we'll give you an insurance policy here, we'll swap it out for you.
That's not all they're doing.
BMW and Mercedes, two of the manufacturers, most of their cars going forward are going to be at least plug-in hybrid capable.
In other words, capable of operating purely as an electric car for a period of time and a number of miles.
And they're doing that for just the reasons we're talking about.
If you own one of those cars that doesn't have that, you can't use it in certain parts of the country.
So that's another sort of indirect mandate.
You know, you can't sell cars to people if they can't use them.
So if you pass laws telling them that, you know, you can't use this type of car here, then you're forced effectively to buy one of these electric or plug-in hybrid cars.
You know, yesterday I talked a little bit about an article that was on Politico, asking if electric cars are worse for the environment.
And his answer was, well, pretty much, there's a very tiny marginal improvement over, if you look at the gases that they single out, things like nitrous oxide.
and sulfur dioxide as well as CO2. There's just a marginal increase because the new cars that are coming out and we see some revolutionary developments in internal combustion engines coming out of Japan for example from Mazda, from Nissan, they're rethinking some of the stuff there.
Major improvements in fuel economy if you look at electric cars and the overall cycle in India for example where they've got dirty power plants you only have to get a car with 36 miles per gallon to do better than an electric car running off of one of their dirty power plants.
But they won't acknowledge, they will shut down those engineering avenues.
These are cars and transportation that is being designed by bureaucrats out of Washington, out of Brussels.
This is the problem with the whole model, that they're forcing this stuff on us, that people who don't innovate, who don't design, are telling us how we're going to be able to, what choices we're going to have.
Yeah, in the first place I would mention that the EPA itself currently classifies a number of new cars that are not hybrids that have standard gasoline engines as PSEVs, which is an acronym that stands for Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle, without any electric drivetrain whatsoever.
They emit virtually no pollution at the tailpipe.
Yeah.
And when you think about, I style it, earth rape, that's involved in mining the materials and processing the materials that go into things like lithium ion batteries.
And you think about the fact that each electric car has something on the order of 400 pounds of extremely caustic chemicals that it's carrying around.
What about the environmental impact of all of that stuff?
Yes, or what about the environmental impact of the ethanol industry?
I mean, we've even got Al Gore, and he may be doing it because he doesn't have any investments in it, but, you know, even environmentalists are saying, we don't want to see food being turned into fuel like this.
This is not a good model even for the environmentalists.
No, it's not.
It's not a good model for people who are going grocery shopping.
It's a hidden tax.
People may not realize that we're paying more for things like beef as well as for vegetables because it has this effect.
You take the corn and you feed it to a cow.
On the other hand, you turn it into ethanol.
There's less available to feed cows.
There's less available to feed people.
And scarcity tends to increase prices, and that's what's happening.
But nobody's aware of it because it's not broken down in the price of the product.
And of course, what's happening here is that we got the lobbyists and the politicians in Washington feeding subsidies to the corn industry.
I mean, that is the ultimate model of what is happening here.
Well, thank you so much for joining us, Eric Peters.
Folks, your transportation and your ability to move are fundamental to your liberty.
One of the things that transformed this country in the middle of the 20th century was the ability for people to get out of cities.

He used to be an urban planner.
To him, cities are wonderful and transportation is evil.
Your ability to own and to move your transportation, that's what they have to shut down.

♪♪ We were just talking to Eric Peters, and one of the things he mentioned was that the EPA has several internal combustion engines that they classify as basically zero emissions.
That's how clean the engines have gotten.
But there is a...
Movement afoot to shut down entire industries and entire ways that we're going to be able to move around, just as we saw even though we had clean coal plants that could be built.
You had both Obama and Hillary Clinton say, we're going to put the coal industry out of business.
Why would they do that?
When we have the largest supply of coal in the world here in the United States, why would they do that?
Well, you know why they would do that.
It has absolutely nothing to do with pollution.
It has everything to do with shutting down America and the American economy.
And so whenever we talk about cars and so forth, I always, I'll go to car shows, I'll talk to people there and say, you know what's coming down the road, don't you?
Sometimes I get to talk to a person and I'll start to tell them some of the things that I've learned and say, yeah, I agree with you, that's really awful, but I'm never going to get rid of my car.
I'm never going to, they're never going to force me out of my car.
You don't think so?
You don't think they can do it by hook or by crook?
Just take a look at what's going on in Saudi Arabia.
Of course, we've had Mohammed bin Salman, the prince, the crown prince, or as Gerald Salenti calls him, the clown prince, doing the tour of Western nations and telling everybody how...
Progressive and forward-looking they are.
They're not going to ban Saudi women anymore from driving.
Remember a couple years ago we had the picture of Saudi women who were allowed to go to an amusement park one day a week or a month.
I don't know how often it was, but it was one day that they would set up a day where it was only women allowed in the park and all the staff were women so they could take off the burqas and things like that and they could actually drive bumper cars.
And they weren't interested in slamming into each other like we do when we drive bumper cars.
No, it was really, they viewed it more like the Dairy Queen commercial, you know, where they have a father and son and they're driving around and they see the Dairy Queen special and they bust out and they head down the road with the bumper car.
They were just interested in driving.
They were all just trying to drive the car.
Well, now, after about a year, they're saying it's coming up soon.
It's coming up soon that we're going to allow Saudi women to drive.
And they're anxious to drive because you know what?
It's about freedom.
It really is about freedom.
But this is also how sometimes the government doesn't just come out without right prohibitions.
Sometimes there's a Saudi looking at this woman where all you can see are her eyes.
I think it's very funny that Marvel Comics, as they go into total political correctness, as I pointed out yesterday, they got a Ms.
Marvel comic character.
And the funny thing about it is I thought more about it.
I said, you know, she's got a secret identity, but she's got hoods over her face, both as a superhero and in her regular identity.
But the difference is, is that I guess when she is in her normal identity, all you can see are her eyes.
And then when she becomes a superhero, the eyes are covered and you can see the rest of her face.
So they kind of invert it that way.
So I guess that confuses people.
And they even call her Ms.
Marvel as if there's some kind of feminism involved here to have a Muslim female superhero.
Look, the Muslims, especially the Saudis and Wahhabism, and of course when he was doing his tour, somebody asked him, well, what about Wahhabism?
And he goes, I don't know what you mean.
What is this Wahhabist that you talk about?
I do not know what that is.
Well, as they look at this, and as they say, we're going to remove the flat-out prohibition Yeah, he is becoming more like the Western governments because he's not going to say it's totally prohibited.
He's just going to regulate it to death.
For example, if you want to get your license as a woman, the driving license fee for women is about $1,300.
Men pay about $130 for their driver's license.
And see, that's the way all these people are saying, I'm not going to let them take my car away from me.
It's like you just wait until that little black box in your car is telling the insurance company how quickly you accelerate, how quickly you brake, how quickly you drive.
Did you violate it?
Oh, you're five miles over the speed limit.
Instant ticket.
We'll just email it to you.
You get a little ping.
You've been noticed, citizen, and the fine is in the mail.
They can get you out of the car, folks, if you don't protect your freedoms.

Live from the Infowars.com studios in Austin, Texas, it's your host, David Knight.
Welcome back.
We're going to take a look at North Korea.
There's been some new updates to this after yesterday's announcements saying because of Thundermax, That sounds like that could be a movie, doesn't it?
Thundermax.
Maybe they already have a movie by that name.
But because of Thundermax, we're getting out of the talks, said the North Koreans.
They shut down some talks that they were going to have with the South Korean government.
And people are concerned that they may be shutting down the upcoming talks with President Trump.
So we're going to talk about the back and forth, what is truly behind that.
What are the chances for nuclear disarmament of North Korea?
We'll also have some update on the porn star and her lawyer.
Some interesting things have come out of that.
We've had a Democrat consultant weigh in on this and said, folks, we may be backing the wrong horse here.
Remember when they backed Fire and Fury?
What was that guy's name?
Anybody remember him?
Wolf?
His name was Wolf?
Everybody was crying wolf there for a while and then he became such an embarrassment they had to distance themselves from him.
Same thing may be happening with Avenatti and Stormy.
We'll talk about that as well.
But let's talk about where you are right now.
The things that are going to affect your life immediately.
We had the Trump administration quietly cancel the $10 million NASA program to track greenhouse gases.
That's a good thing.
$10 million saved is a penny earned in the federal government right now.
Every little $10 million helps.
It's gotten to the point where they spend so much money that people say, oh, it's only ten million dollars, doesn't matter.
But it is good.
And it is good that they are shutting this down.
They said, due to budget constraints and higher priorities within the science budget, a spokesperson for NASA said that they have quietly killed this carbon monitoring system.
And Daily Mail is concerned about this.
They said, this is the latest move in a broad attack on climate science.
No, it's an attack on climate alarmism.
If you're looking at the carbon and you notice that the carbon is going up and the temperatures are not going up with it like your model predicted, then maybe it is time for us to stop playing the alarmist game.
And I'm glad that they're doing it.
Meanwhile, the EPA, they have the transparency rule that people are getting very upset about.
Another good thing.
Another excellent thing.
As a matter of fact, before I came here to InfoWars, I was working with a group that was trying to get transparency from Michael Mann, who was involved in ClimateGate.
You want to talk about not having transparency?
Those emails that they had at the University of East Anglia in the UK, their climate center, where they're passing the emails back and forth and saying, hey, you know what?
We're looking at the climate, at the carbon and the environment and so forth.
And we got to hide the fact that temperatures are declining.
We got to hide that.
It's not matching what our models are predicting.
So they were sending these emails back and forth to each other.
Remember that?
That caused quite a stir.
And then eventually they said, no, it's not true.
Never mind.
Forget about it.
We'll move on.
It's like, well, no, actually that is what the emails said.
And that was about a thousand emails.
And then a couple years later, there was another 5,000 emails that came out talking about more of that.
But the mainstream media basically just ignored that.
That was the early 2000s.
Alex Jones and Infowars reported on that, but for the most part, the mainstream media either ignored it or they pushed the agenda of East Anglia University and the others who were trying to hide it.
And it also involved Michael Mann, the guy who created the hockey stick fiction for Al Gore, that Al Gore made so much money off of with his documentary.
The convenient lie that he was telling everybody about the hockey stick.
Now Michael Mann was working at the University of Virginia.
He was being paid by taxpayers and he was doing the work as part of his taxpayer work.
He was writing these emails at work and doing this research.
The research was being used for policy.
He had published papers already And we said, we'd like to see your data on that, especially in light of the climate gate, where people are saying they're trying to cook the books and hide the data.
And of course, now we've seen that NOAA, National Oceanic Administration, goes back and they, if they don't have any data somewhere for some years, They interestingly find a way to take the temperature down in past years.
So they say, well, we don't have any readings here for this year or this time or whatever.
So we'll put some in.
And we'll put some figures in that are going to enforce a trend that it was cooler in the past and it's going warmer now.
And that's what they do.
And so they're adjusting the data to hide the decline or to hide the fact that there isn't an increase.
And so we asked to see his data.
He said, you can't see that.
It's private.
You're coming after my private emails.
It's like, no, no, no.
You did this on the public dime.
You have published this paper.
There's nothing proprietary here.
And it has been used for policy.
And so in that spirit, we have Scott Pruitt's EPA come out and say, we're not going to use any studies unless you show us the data.
Show me the money.
Show me the data.
And you've got the Hill saying this EPA transparency rule confuses science and regulatory science.
They keep telling us, oh but it's science, it's science.
Now they're saying it's something called regulatory science.
And they say this is an Orwellian twist.
Orwellian.
It is Orwellian to actually see the data.
And not just to have to take the words of the bureaucrats for it.
They said, Pruitt is using a claim of transparency as a way to obscure his ideological opposition to environmental protection.
The new rule would bar the EPA from using its regulatory process any scientific study for which the underlying data is not completely available to the public.
Why wouldn't you do that?
Why wouldn't you do that?
Why wouldn't you say, okay, here's my conclusion, and, oh, and by the way, you know, just like you're going to have, whenever you do a scientific paper, don't you have a system of footnotes and references and so forth?
Why would you hide all that unless you are doing something crooked?
And in that same paragraph, it said, it opens the door to attacks on climate science.
Why would it open the door to attacks on climate science if the climate science is based on reproducible data?
If it's based on real readings?
See, that's what they want to hide.
And it's amazing to me that they would come out, that is what's Orwellian.
That's the Orwellian twist.
To say, showing you the data would be an attack on climate science.
No, it'd be an attack on their fictional narrative.
One other piece of information here that really kind of hits you at home.
You may not realize just how much of our public pensions are unfunded.
Probably the best example of this is Illinois.
And there was a story that came out a couple of days ago.
It was actually on Monday.
And here's the headline.
An audible gasp was heard when the Chicago Fed unveiled its quote-unquote solution to the pension problem.
This is on Zero Hedge.
They said an audible gasp went out at last month's pension event, co-sponsored by the Civic Federation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
A speaker from the Chicago Fed proposed levying across the state, and in addition to the current property taxes, a special property assessment that they estimate would be about 1% of actual property value each year for another 30 years.
So if you've got a house, they point out, you've got a house that's $250,000, that's probably about the median family home across the United States, I would guess.
You would pay an additional $2,500 a year in taxes, no problem.
And that's not even counting the school taxes that go up.
Because you've got entire schools here in Texas that are being built to handle the increased population of illegal immigrants who are coming across because their government doesn't want to pay for their education, so they help them to evade our immigration laws and come here so that we can pay for their education.
Not even counting that.
That would just be an assessment because of the bankrupt public pensions.
And as I pointed out in this article, confiscatory property tax rates have already robbed hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of Illinois families of their home equity.
And folks, if you've got to pay these kinds of fees, these kinds of property taxes, that's the real problem with property taxes.
You'll never own your home.
You may eventually, if you stay somewhere long enough, you may eventually get rid of that 30-year mortgage.
But you don't ever get rid of the property taxes.
They may give you a little bit of a relief as you get older, but they're not ever going to take it away.
They may take away your home if you don't pay those property taxes, and you may have the Federal Reserve, the Federal Reserve, saying, you know, we've got to find some way to fund these pension programs, and I think we're going to take people's homes in order to do that.
Any government that can give you everything you want first has to take everything you've got.
That was one thing that Gerald Ford was right about.
He may have been put in there by the Rockefellers, but he's right about that.
Stay with us, we'll be right back.

Now it's time to change our bodies with Z-Shield at Infowarslife.com You're listening to Real News with David Knight.
Welcome back.
I'm David Knight, and I want to move on to North Korea.
But before I do, let's talk about whether you're going to have a home.
Well, the government is going to take away, or the Federal Reserve is pushing this out there.
You know, as I said as we're going to break, when the Chicago Federal Reserve said, I think we've got an idea for how we're going to fund these bankrupt pension programs.
And of course, it only addressed five of the pension programs.
They've got a lot more than that in Illinois.
I think we'll put a big surcharge on a 1% tax per year for the next 30 years on real estate, on homes.
These are the same people, by the way, that gave us the housing crisis, that pushed that on, that funded that, that turned a blind eye to all the schemes coming out of Wall Street.
Yeah, they were the ones who did that.
And I'm looking at the actual report here from the Chicago Fed, from their blog.
How should the state of Illinois pay for its unfunded pension liability, the case for a statewide residential property tax?
One of the things that they say here is, because the debt is so large, it's unrealistic to think that new taxes, such as a tax on legalized marijuana or on financial transactions, yeah, don't tax my banking stuff here, hands off my banking stuff, that those things or increases will affect only a narrow segment of the population will be enough.
So we've got to have something broad-based.
We've got to come after their homes.
And they know that that's not going to solve anything.
In this, they talk about how they're going to deal with the emergency, but not with the burgeoning welfare state.
They're not going to reform those public pensions.
Not going to do that.
They're going to start confiscating things.
And at the same time, on the same day, we saw a report about this IMF report that came out in April, the International Monetary Fund.
Came out with a report called Global Financial Stability Report April 2018.
A bumpy road is ahead.
Now what they're talking about is the fact that there may be, they think, devaluation, drastic price increases.
They said we are living in a heavily over indebted world economy.
You know what things like public pension funds and so forth.
And they said the global economy has never had such a high debt as now.
This debt apparently cannot be reduced by regular repayments.
But rather it has to be reduced by inflation or by the expropriation of private savings.
Uh-huh.
They're going to come for your money.
Or your private home.
Inflation, they said, is a consequence.
One of the analysts said it's a consequence of state action to prevent banking crises.
They're only concerned about preventing a crisis for their banks.
And when we look at the IMF, go back to Robert McNamara, who after he got finished messing up the United States with Vietnam War and his domino theory, he goes to the IMF.
At the IMF, he was accused of rent-seeking in the so-called developing countries.
The IMF was loaning a lot of money to developing countries.
They were not developing, actually.
They weren't developing anything other than a welfare state.
And the IMF was encouraging them to do that.
You know, pensions, Social Security plans, all this other kind of stuff.
It's not productive.
They were selling it as a way, this is the way to build and to develop your country.
You know, we've just seen the Marshall Plan that had loaned money to Germany to rebuild after the devastation of World War II, but that was not what this was about.
This is not about developing these countries, because all of the things that they were spending money on, all the socialist welfare projects that they were encouraged to spend this money on, that wasn't going to help them pay back any of this debt.
They weren't building factories or infrastructure or anything like that.
They were just building dependency.
And so everybody said, the IMF and Robert McNamara are simply rent-seeking.
They want to turn these people into perpetual renters, which is what they did.
It's basically building a welfare state on a credit card.
Well, eventually, they come in and confiscate your private savings.
Eventually, they come in and they confiscate your home, because they're not going to change anything about the way they spend money.
That's the truth of where we're headed.
All right, let's take a look at what happened with North Korea yesterday.
Big blow-up yesterday afternoon.
The U.S.
will promise North Korea's Kim Jong-un that it will not seek regime change, said Pompeo.
Now, this is a couple of days ago.
We had Pompeo go there, and Pompeo, let's say it's Pompeo, as in Pompei, the place that got nuked by the volcano.
The U.S.
will have to assure North Korea it won't seek to undermine its leader, said the Secretary of State.
Indicate that any deal paving the way for a nuclear-free Korean peninsula would have to include certain US safeguards allowing Kim to stay in power.
Pompeo said we'll have to provide security assistance to be sure.
This has been the trade-off that has been pending for 25 years.
The conversations are professional.
Kim knows, he said.
He knows.
He knows his brief.
He knows what he's trying to achieve for the North Korean people, he said, on the program.
And he also said, Kim is keeping tabs on the Western media and will probably watch this show at some point.
When he was on, I think he was on Fox News Sunday.
So he says, yeah, you know, he's going to be watching this show.
I guess that's Chris Wallace.
He's watching all this stuff.
And we've got to assure him that we're not going to have regime change.
Well, that was then.
That was a while, it was a week or two ago.
And in the interim, the little mustachio guy, John Bolton, the evil Mark Twain, the guy who is not a pen warmed over in hell, but a neocon warmed over in hell, he has been making all the talk show circuits telling everybody, we're going to follow the Libyan model, we're going to follow the Libyan model.
You think they're watching those programs with John Bolton on?
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
You think they heard that?
Yeah.
As a matter of fact, they referenced John Bolton and his Libya comments.
They know what this is about.
They know what happened to Muammar Gaddafi when he gave up the nuclear weapons.
Look, if you really want to have a de-escalation, which we know the neocons and people like John Bolton don't want to have, if you really wanted to have that, and if it was really your intention to get all the weapons and to get them, which is what you have to have, quite frankly, if you're going to have a real deal, all those weapons need to be turned over immediately and totally.
And they need to be destroyed.
But as Pompeo was doing, he was trying to reassure them that, and then we're not going to have regime change.
We're not going to drag you out in the street with the crowds and lynch you.
We won't do that to you, like we have done to all the other people that worked with us.
You don't tell them that!
You don't tell them that if you really want to get the nuclear weapons.
But John Bolton doesn't really want to shut the threat down.
The neocons want to keep threats going.
They want to keep the 30,000 troops in South Korea.
They want all this stuff to stay the same, and they want it to get bigger.
And so what happened yesterday is we had North Korea report Reuters through next month's summit between Kim Jong-un and President Trump into doubt.
...saying that it might reconsider if Washington insists that it unilaterally gives up its nuclear weapons.
North Korea's official news agency said earlier that they had called off high-level talks with Seoul, which had been due to take place today, and the first sign of trouble after months of warming ties.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Kai-Kwan, said that the fate of the unprecedented U.S.-North Korea summit, as well as bilateral relations, would be clear If the U.S.
spoke of, quote, Libya-style denuclearization for the North, say they've been listening.
They heard John Bolton.
And mission accomplished.
Bolton, you shut down any talks of any effective peace.
A lot of us are skeptical that they would actually do this in the first place.
And we'll tell you their other comments.
Yeah, probably wasn't going to happen, but he guaranteed it wasn't going to happen.
He guaranteed that we'd keep 30,000 troops in the Korean Peninsula, that we would keep building the defense budget, because we need to have those nuclear threats so we can keep the intercontinental ballistic missile industry going.
We'll be right back.

Welcome back.
So, the question is, are the North Koreans really sincere about this?
This has been a question all along.
Are they stopping this because of a drill that is happening with the United States and South Korea called Thunder Max?
They had a report that was complaining about that, but this isn't anything new.
This is something that's been happening every year for a very long time.
And, you know, this is every May they do this, this drill with the U.S.
and with South Korea.
As a matter of fact, going back to March, as Reuters reports, people tried to talk to Secretary of Defense Mattis, and he says, I do not want to talk about Korea at all, and walks off.
You had Pompeo saying, we're going to make sure that there's no regime change.
We want to make this thing work, and so forth.
But then you got John Bolton going on everywhere, saying, yeah, we're going to do this like we did the Libyans.
You know, we got all their missiles and we took them to Oak Ridge in Tennessee, the nuclear facility that took them all apart and everything.
And then it's like, yeah, it's that Qaddafi model, wink, wink.
You know, they're playing it close to the chest, Mattis and Pompeo, but not John Bolton.
In early March, as a matter of fact, South Korea's security office head said after meetings with Kim that Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader, understood that routine joint military exercises between South Korea and the U.S.
would continue, as always, in spite of improving relations.
So this is nothing new.
They have some analysts saying, well, you know, he's met recently with China, maybe China is encouraging him to test President Trump's resolve.
How badly do you want this?
So forth.
And so that may be an element of it, but the Minister of Foreign Affairs had a lot to say about John Bolton.
He specifically criticized, says Reuters, the U.S.
National Security Advisor John Bolton, who has called for North Korea to quickly give up its nuclear arsenal in a deal that mirrors Libya's abandonment of its weapons of mass destruction.
North Korea clashed with Bolton when he worked under the Bush administration.
They called him, at that time, human scum and a bloodsucker.
Nobody to... not going to scale back any of the rhetoric there.
They said, we shed light on the quality of Bolton already in the past.
We do not hide our feeling of repugnance toward him, said the Vice Minister.
He derided Bolton's suggestion that discussions with North Korea should be similar to those that led to the components of Libya's nuclear program being shipped to the US in 2004.
He said, the world knows all too well that our country is neither Libya nor Iraq, Who have met such miserable fates?
So that may be the part of it.
Again, they may be testing the resolve to see whether this goes forward or not.
As we look at this, it's important to remember some of the history of these North Korean deals.
We've talked about before, we've had both his father and his grandfather have made deals, have broken them.
If we just go back to the Clinton administration in the 90s, the U.S.
in 1994 reached a nuclear agreement with North Korea then.
It was called the Agreed Framework.
And in exchange, North Korea halted construction of two reactors that the U.S.
believed to be for nuclear weapon production in exchange for two alternative nuclear power reactors that could be used to provide electricity but not bomb fuel.
So we're going to help them with that, right?
Hey, we'll give you some peaceful nuclear reactors, and we'll also give you 500,000 metric tons of oil each year.
They said the deal collapsed in 2002 after North Korea admitted that it had been running a clandestine nuclear program using enriched uranium.
So they'd been cheating on it for eight years at that point.
And then you had George W. Bush.
Shortly after that, just the next year, he gets into talks with nuclear.
After they'd been exposed for cheating over an eight-year period on the agreement that they'd made with Bill Clinton, Then he gets into a six-party forum.
U.S., North Korea, China, Russia, South Korea, Japan.
All six parties get in.
He said, after months of tense negotiation that began in August of 2003, North Korea accepted a deal in September of 2005 to end its nuclear program in exchange for security, economic aid, and energy benefits.
Oh, that worked, right?
That's why he's been doing the big nuclear tests that collapsed his nuclear test site mountain.
In February 2007, they reached a deal where North Korea would receive an aid package worth about $400 million in return for disabling his nuclear facilities and allowing international inspectors to verify the process.
That deal fell through in December 2008, when North Korea refused to accept U.S.
proposed verification methods.
So that didn't last long.
I imagine they probably got the $400 million.
Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.
They got a lot of stuff from Bill Clinton, though.
They got that.
And so the question is, as we got all this satellite imagery, and we had NPR and other people saying, look, they're dismantling their site.
It's a sign of good faith and so forth.
And as I said, I was talking to Joel Scouse the other day, it's like, they got their site dismantled by the mountain itself when it collapsed on, killed 200 people as they were trying to excavate them out, another 100 people died.
It's been collapsing in the interim.
They say, commercial satellite imagery, including photos taken by Planet Labs.
As recently as May 14th showed North Korea removing some structures around its nuclear test site.
They said so far it looks like the surface level support structures are being dismantled.
This would be consistent with the site being closed, as you need engineers and working teams on site to prepare and maintain the site.
However, people are skeptical.
They say a limited number of foreign media have been invited to see the ceremonial closure.
Of course, you're going to be very heavily controlled in terms of what you're allowed to see, where you're allowed to go, who you're allowed to talk to.
But they said so far there's no international nuclear inspectors invited, just some controlled media people, probably mostly from CNN.
North Korea might seem like they're being generous in holding this event, but this is actual testing ground that we're talking about here.
The smoking gun, said a nuclear energy system engineering professor at Seoul National University, said it seems like they're trying to erase any evidence of nuclear capabilities that they have.
And then a report in a South Korean newspaper saying that the U.S.
Believes that it knows the location of North Korea's secret uranium stash.
According to a diplomatic source quoted by South Korean media, the U.S.
knows where one of North Korea's two uranium enrichment facilities are located and expects Kim Jong-un to reveal the existence of both facilities to the world and to invite international inspections.
And so this would be the situation if this were to move forward.
As an American nuclear weapons expert, Siegfried Hecker, a professor emeritus at Stanford University, was part of a group of scientists that went to North Korea back in 2010.
He later said that one facility contained 2,000 centrifuges producing low enriched uranium, but that the facility could be easily converted to produce HEU bomb fuel, and that parallel facilities could exist elsewhere.
They were the last group of scientists to be allowed a visit in North Korea.
I mean, we're here eight years later.
Again, buying time, trying to get subsidies, and the excuse that this is all about Thundermax, the annual exercise, joint exercise with South Korea and the United States, is total balderdash.
Now, they could be upset about John Bolton, they could be upset about the fact that they are going to follow the Libya model.
But again, this could be a test that they're being put up to by the Chinese government.
And I don't really think that they want to go down this road anyway.
An envoy from North Korea said, well, we're thinking about maybe joining an effort to ban all nuclear tests.
Maybe we will do that.
Yeah, maybe they will.
They're not in the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty right now.
They have that all above-ground testing is banned worldwide.
They do their testing underground and now they're way underground after that mountain collapsed on them.
But I don't think that they are really genuinely interested in turning over their nuclear power.
They made that very clear when they were talking about John Bolton.
And of course they understand, I think probably rightfully so.
That the John Boltons of this world will do to them what they did to Saddam Hussein, what they did to Manuel Noriega, what they did to Muammar Gaddafi, what they do to everybody that works and cooperates with them.
What they're doing right now to Assad in Syria, who worked with Gina Haspel and the CIA in terms of torturing people in Syria.
That was one of their black sites.
So now we're involved in creating ISIS to take them down.
That's what we do.
It's in our nature to sow chaos and discord and to betray everybody, especially the dictators that work with us.
We'll be right back.

And that man with a gun over there in Denver, Colorado.
Actually, not Denver, but Boulder.
I'm reading the article from the Denver Post.
But in Boulder, Colorado.
The City Council is saying, that man over there that works for us, he can have a gun.
You can't.
The Boulder City Council just voted unanimously last night, last night, in the third meeting, to ban the sale and possession of assault weapons, of bump stocks, of high-capacity magazines within the city limits.
And coming up, they've got several amendments because that wasn't enough for those people.
Remember here in Austin, we had the Mayor Pro Tem, the number two guy.
That we filmed, saying, you hang on to that sign over there about gun bans.
We're not talking about that yet, but it's coming.
Well, it's already come in Boulder, Colorado.
And they're going to do more.
Going to do more.
They got several amendments to do things like raising the age to buy any firearm to 21 instead of 18.
And they'll be considering that at a later date.
They had a lot of people there that were marching ahead of this vote last week.
They were openly carrying long rifles.
And the police didn't do anything to stop them.
You know, the only time I've been at an event where the police didn't come after the conservatives was when everybody was carrying guns to protest the police coming after gun owners, or taking people's property, and so forth.
That's the only time that the police behaved themselves in my experience.
So this is what you're going to be able to do come June 15th, or as one outlet, Nine News, says it's June 15th.
The Denver Post says it's July 15th.
But whenever that deadline hits, you're going to have to either one, get rid of the gun, two, turn it into authorities, three, break the gun so it doesn't work, or get a permit from the city.
And they're going to give you a little bit of a grace period here.
Those who already own firearms that they're banning will have until the end of the year to get a certificate proving that they had prior ownership.
That was an olive branch, they said, to gun owners.
Nevertheless, attorneys from the Mountain States Legal Foundation said they're going to challenge the ban in court on behalf of an unnamed client.
They allege violations of the 2nd, the 5th, and the 14th Amendment, as well as the Colorado Constitution itself.
I want to do a quick plug because I want to tell you about the products that we have at Infowarsstore.com and then we're going to talk about some of the important First Amendment issues that have arisen as we look at the porn actress and her porn lawyer, Avenatti, threatening the Daily Caller and others because of their reporting.
The products that we have at Infowarsstore.com, folks, as I said, support this program.

It fights bacteria that creates gum disease, causes tooth loss, causes heart disease, but also, nano-silver is very effective at killing viruses, not just bacteria.
A great time to try that or to stock up on it.

As I said, that's what keeps us independent and funded.
It's a way to protect free speech as well as the health of you and your family.
All right, let's talk about the lawyer here.
He went on MSNBC and had a very interesting way of characterizing himself in Stormy Daniels.
Here's what he had to say in that interview.
That a lot of people who are detractors of this president have pinned a lot of their hopes on Bob Mueller for getting to the bottom of this.
It seems like some of that has now attached to you, but I wonder if you see yourself as part of the resistance or part of the effort to reveal the president and the people around him, or if all of this is somehow related to the cases you have in which you're representing Stormy Daniels.
Well, I don't think we're a member of the resistance, Nicole.
I think we're a member of, I think Professor Butler put it best on Saturday, the Justice League, aimed at truth and disclosure.
Where the chips fall, that's where they fall, whether it results in the president staying in office or not.
I mean, that's going to be up to people that are far more intelligent and far more powerful than me and my client.
Okay, so let's hold it there.
So this is the superheroes, the Justice League.
The Democrat Party is pinning their hopes on, and I just wonder which one of them is wearing briefs, or has briefs, legal briefs.
Are they legal, those briefs?
Which one of them's got a cape?
We don't know.
We don't know, but it's the two superheroes, Porn Star and Lawyer Man, her sidekick.
And there's a lot of questions about where they're getting their money that have been asked by people.
As Michael Balsamo said, nobody knows precisely who is funding this effort.
This is from the AP.
They're saying more than 14,000 donations have been made, mostly anonymously, in amounts ranging from $10 to $5,000.
Well, if this is a political effort, I mean, they're not candidates, they're not running for anything, but it would be interesting to know Who's giving up to $5,000?
This is on a site called crowdjustice.com.
Well, where else would the Justice League go to raise money?
Except to Crowd Justice.
Before they return to their fortress of solitude.
They've raised more than $490,000.
About $100,000 of it arrived in the last week after Avenatti released documents about payments that Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen received from private companies.
Some of those documents we released pointed to the wrong Michael Cohen.
Nevertheless, don't let that slow down the Justice League.
Kathleen Clark, a professor of ethics at Washington University, said the anonymous donations could be fodder for public debate on who is actually backing this lawsuit.
She said, of course, when, or I would say if, the third party is actually 14,000 different people.
Is it really 14,000 different people?
Uh, it seems actually less of a danger than it would be in an ordinary case where a single third party would be paying.
Well, if they're anonymous and you don't know who it is, you don't know how many people it is.
Is it 14,000 different people?
Is it, uh, 14?
No, we don't know.
And Western Journal had pointed out earlier this week, two days ago, they said the Avenatti documents say maybe he got $8 million out of thin air once Stormy arrived.
They're also asking the question, who is paying him?
and uh... they said it's a good question because you know this is a guy who has around-the-clock visible availability and visibility on all the mainstream media they had him on uh... virtually every day on cnn at least once a day so how is he making any money is he doing anything for anybody else is that be interesting to know whether that is actually happening and then there's questions that have come up in the last couple of days about stormy herself you know back in monday
We saw the accusations coming from Tasha Rain, who is also in a porn movie, accusing Daniels, who is directing the porn movie, of covering up for a crew member after the actress reported an on-set sexual assault.
Now, Avenatti came out and said, well, this has already been discussed.
My client, Stormy Daniels, has been exonerated in an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred during the shooting of an adult film directed by Daniels.
That's a porn film, not an adult film.
A statement released by the company that produced the film, however, says the investigation is still ongoing.
They dispute that.
So he came out and said after the investigation questioned Wicked, That's the name of the company.
Wicked.
Wicked Pictures.
Performed a thorough investigation and found no substantiation of the allegations.
It simply did not occur as Ms.
Raines suggested.
However, Wicked said to the Daily Beast, we have been and are appropriately investigating.
So indicated that it is still ongoing.
And then there's questions about his past that were raised by the Daily Caller, which raises questions about the First Amendment.
As they came out and looked at his past, he said this on CNN.
Let's do video clip number two.
Did you call it character assassination or whatever trying to get you?
Were you talking about the Daily Caller?
Do you put them in that because you know that they released your email?
Peter Hassan tweeted out your email that you sent to him, right?
And he said, you said, we will expose your publication for what it truly is.
We will also recover significant damages against each of you that participated personally.
So if I were you, I would tell Mr. Trump to find someone else to fabricate things about me.
If you think I'm kidding, you really don't know anything about me.
This is the last warning.
What's that about?
Don, I'll tell you exactly what it's about, okay?
All attorneys are not ethical.
All because you're an attorney doesn't mean you're ethical and you do what you're supposed to do.
All journalists are not ethical just because they're a journalist.
There's good journalists and there's bad journalists.
There's ethical journalists and there's unethical journalists.
Okay, let's hold that right there because I think we know, we've got a good idea of which category I might put him in.
We'll see what you think about this.
On Fox News, Let's talk about what is the basis of taking action.
I think it's important that we hear this because this is the way they try to shut down any criticism by attacking the people who are doing the investigation.
Unfortunately, we don't have time to play that.
We'll play it for you tomorrow.
As we were talking about it, this is something if a reporter What they say about you is not malicious, even if it is not true.
That's why you have the opportunity to retract this stuff.
He didn't question them on the facts.
He just said, stop talking about me or I'm going to sue you.
You can't do that.
He's a lawyer.
He knows that he can't do that.
And you have a Democrat strategist, Brad Gerstmann, said, I think we're betting on the wrong guy.
