	Welcome to Real News on this Columbus Day.
	And as we hear Mission Impossible in the background, a theme song now that has been firmly associated in most people's minds, not with the original television series, but with Tom Cruise.
	I've got a review for you today of Made in America.
	I think the best title for it would have been Made Up in America.
	But we're going to talk a little bit about...
	The issues there, the things that were skipped over in that movie.
	But primarily today on this Columbus Day, we want to talk about political correctness and appeasement.
	This takes a lot of forms.
	Today we have various cities.
	We have Austin, L.A., San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, have all said that they're not going to celebrate Columbus Day.
	They're going to celebrate Indigenous People's Day.
	And so this kind of appeasement where at the same time we have The police having to stand guard around a Columbus statue that's been there since the 1800s.
	24-7 they've got a police guard there plus a fence to keep people from destroying this.
	These are the symbols of America that are being destroyed.
	And this is the appeasement that we have to engage in for political correctness.
	We also see the appeasement in Hollywood.
	The appeasement that has been celebrating...
	The sexual assaults of Harvey Weinstein that have been alleged for quite some time.
	He's now been fired. Evidently, the people in Hollywood know this pretty well.
	They believe it. And yet we've had people like Meryl Streep call him a god.
	Thank God. I mean, Harvey Weinstein.
	She says, we're going to have that clip for you.
	But at the same time, you see people that are conservatives being like James Woods, being blacklisted out of Hollywood.
	He's had to announce that he has to retire, not because of anything he did other than expressing his political opinions.
	But somebody like Harvey Weinstein can do whatever he wants to whoever he wants and get away with it because of his political connections, because he is politically correct.
	And that's the kind of appeasement we're seeing.
	We see appeasement in terms of the Cowboys and the NFL. We see the owner of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, remember famously a few weeks ago?
	He decided that he would try to appease both sides of the argument.
	They would go out and take the knee before the National Anthem and then they would stand for the National Anthem.
	That hasn't worked out too well, has it?
	The NFL continues to plummet in popularity because people see through this.
	They understand what's going on when somebody tries to sit on the fence.
	It's a good way to turn yourself into a eunuch if you continue to sit there for too long.
	And that's what's happening to the NFL. What's happening to the NRA? Well, we're seeing appeasement there as well.
	You understand that the shooting ended a week and a day ago in Las Vegas.
	But the Second Amendment has been under continual fire since then.
	And we have friendly fire, appeasement from the GOP, from the NRA, buying into this false narrative and hoping that they can push off new advances on gun control by appeasing the gun grabbers.
	So we're going to talk about all of those narratives.
	Oh, and there's one more, too, and that is the appeasement of the people who want open borders and open immigration.
	There's a lot of talk now, continuing talk, about President Trump granting legal status, in other words, amnesty.
	You know, you want to say, well, we're going to give them legal status.
	Well, we're going to let them stay.
	Oh, it's not amnesty.
	We're not deceived by semantics.
	And so if you're going to come out here and you're going to say, we're going to let them be able to stay, we're going to give them legal status, but...
	We are going to put some restrictions on that.
	We're going to get really tough on the border.
	Sorry, we heard that over 30 years ago with Ronald Reagan.
	And we've been hearing it ever since.
	We're not going to do anything about the foreign citizens who are here criminally trespassing in our country.
	But we are going to step up the border control so we don't have any more of them come in.
	That is something that has been going on for decades.
	It is the same story that is playing out yet again.
	And so we're going to take a look at all those different forms of appeasement today.
	It really, I guess, is the theme of the news.
	Everywhere we go, people say that they can appease the gods of political correctness on every issue.
	And it never works, does it?
	They say that politics is the art of compromise.
	I think politics should be the application of principle.
	But maybe I'm in the minority.

	Columbus Day.
	That's the day I've always called it.
	That's the day I'm going to continue to call it, although we have a lot of cities that are now saying it must be called Indigenous Peoples Day.
	One of those is Austin, where this broadcast is coming from.
	They've joined the other liberal groups.
	Politically correct bastions of America, like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle, and you can put Austin in there.
	They're not going to honor Columbus Day.
	And as a matter of fact, in New York, they have to have a 24-7 guard around the statue of Christopher Columbus.
	This is the world that we live in in 2017.
	You all know the poem?
	In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue.
	Well, in 2017, we need guards to keep him clean, and they're doing it 24-7 in New York City.
	As the New York Post points out, he's Italian.
	He's very tall, he's a little stiff, and he's getting round-the-clock police protection.
	No, it's not Bill de Blasio!
	Ha ha! I don't know that anybody's ever going to build a statue to Bill de Blasio.
	Let's just understand that.
	But this is a statue of Christopher Columbus.
	We're talking about the NYPD is providing 24-7 bodyguard services to the marble statue of Christopher Columbus in Columbus Circle.
	They say the statue has been there since 1892.
	Since 1892.
	Without any issue. And yet today, we have the Left that is intent on tearing down the foundations of our history, the foundations of our culture, the foundations of our nation and our law.
	And these attacks on statues that are done by a small minority of people, a very small minority of people, have now cost millions of dollars for cities across the country.
	And they appease these people.
	All you have to do is have one person say, I am offended by that.
	And they tear it down. And they spend who knows how much to tear it down.
	And it doesn't matter what they're offended about.
	It could be Christopher Columbus, for example.
	One person who is Italian said, now because everybody's complaining about Columbus, no, everybody is not complaining about Columbus.
	A few very vocal minority are.
	And they attacked him with paint.
	Now we have to put cops on there to make sure that nobody does it anymore.
	So they got it ringed in a metal barricade.
	And one of the individuals that was there said, you know, this is my Italian culture, and I should not have to be afraid of this.
	She said, we had a very difficult time in this country for over 100 years as an Italian.
	That was Basil, sorry, it was a guy, Basil Russo, President of the Order of Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
	He said, Columbus Day is a day that we've chosen to celebrate who we are.
	And we're entitled to do that just as they are entitled to celebrate who they are.
	But that's the intolerance of the left.
	You can't do that. You cannot be proud of your heritage.
	Only they can be proud of their heritage.
	And we've seen that over and over again.
	This is a recurring theme, isn't it?
	And as we look at this and the way that this has progressed, understand that they have seized to start all of this.
	They seized on a single picture of Dylann Roof.
	The psychopath who went into a black church in Charleston, South Carolina, met with these people who invited him in.
	They're predominantly black. He was white.
	They didn't have a problem with that. They're Christians.
	And he sits there with them for a while.
	And then, in something that none of us can understand, a true psychopath, he pulls out a gun and starts shooting them.
	Absolutely insane.
	And yet, because they could find one picture of Dylann Roof...
	With a Confederate flag in the background, one of many items in the background.
	Nikki Haley, now our UN ambassador in the Trump administration.
	Nikki Haley, the Republican governor of South Carolina.
	Nikki Haley, the woman whose parents were immigrants into this country.
	She's an Indian Sikh.
	She doesn't know anything about our culture.
	Certainly doesn't appreciate it, obviously.
	She began a purge on all things Confederate.
	Just as we've now seen this purge expand to everything.
	Because, see, it wasn't an issue.
	We can talk about the sons and daughters of Italians.
	We can talk about the sons and daughters of the Confederacy.
	People who are proud of their heritage.
	And you can spin that any way you want to.
	You can find negative things about any group.
	You want to talk about indigenous people?
	Let's talk about the fact they had slavery.
	Let's talk about the fact that they had human sacrifice.
	So we can demonize anybody if we want to.
	And this is the insanity of the left.
	This is being used for political purposes.
	So they can purge anything that they want.
	And now what we're seeing is the appeasement of the left by the NRA. And they've got a shopping list now of anything that this alleged shooter, Paddock, had.
	Anything. If it was in the room, if it was in his car, if it was in his home, anything he has is now on a shopping list of prohibitions.
	That's what they have done. They've created that.
	They've got a shopping list now. Anything that's associated with this guy, just like anything that was associated with Dylann Roof, even in the most tangential way, can now be purged.
	Because we're afraid of political correctness.
	Because we can't stand up and say, you're not going to impute the sins of this maniac or maniacs in the case of Vegas, because I don't believe this guy acted alone.
	The sheriff says he doesn't believe that he acted alone.
	I'll go with him. It looked phony from the very beginning to me, and it looks even phonier.
	We're going to take a look at some people who are challenging this narrative of the bump stock.
	And again, most people who shoot guns don't really care anything at all about that.
	I don't care anything about that, but it's the principle involved.
	You understand? It's kind of like when the British put a 3% tax on tea.
	And as we pointed out when I was working on a campaign with some libertarians back in North Carolina, we said, well, you know, we had a revolution over a 3% tax on tea.
	And look at this. We got, I forget what it was at the time, it was maybe 6, 7, 8% tax on everything we ate.
	You understand the principles involved here.
	It just never stops.
	And that was the thing that was unique about the founders of this country.
	They understood the principles involved.
	And they understood when you had to draw the line.
	They understood that that tax was put on without representation.
	Now we have the NRA begging for the regulation of bump stocks and begging an unelected body, and that would be the ATF, begging them to make laws and regulations restricting firearms.
	They're not elected.
	Let's talk about taxation without representation.
	Let's talk about regulation without representation.
	I don't like and I don't want to encourage the process of having the bureaucracies write our laws and regulations.
	That's one of the key things that's wrong with America.
	We couldn't get 80,000 new regulations a year if Congress had to do it.
	Congress can't pass a single law, good or bad.
	They're tied up.
	And that's the way it's supposed to be.
	We're supposed to have our laws created by people who represent us.
	They have abdicated that to the bureaucracies.
	That's why Nancy Pelosi said, everybody said, what is she, crazy?
	When she said, well, we have to pass Obamacare to find out what's in it.
	No, she was actually being the most candid she has ever been in her entire life.
	What she was telling you, Mr.
	and Mrs. America, is that they create these broad paths of legislation and they create a new bureaucracy, whether it's about Obamacare, Where they give new powers to health and human services and they create the office of a health czar.
	And then they tell them, you go out and work out the details.
	Because quite frankly, we just don't have the time to write 80,000 pages of regulations.
	We've got a vacation to take.
	And so they send these things out to the bureaucracy.
	We saw the same thing happen with the financial regulations.
	They created a whole new organization that had never existed before.
	And they put this out there and they encourage them to write the rules.
	And that's how we get this kind of oppressive regulation of everything out of Washington.
	Things that they have no authority to regulate.
	And now we have the NRA saying, we would like not even for our elected representatives to decide whether or not this should be legal or illegal.
	Forget about what the Second Amendment says, okay?
	We're going to have, we prefer to have the ATF regulate this.
	And they should decide, not your elected officials.
	That's the kind of appeasement that will be fatal to us.
	And we see that kind of appeasement in every area of our life.
	So we're going to talk about all these different forms of appeasement today.
	From the NFL, to Hollywood, to the NRA. To immigration.
	All of these different areas, what do we see everywhere?
	We see appeasement.
	No, they cannot be appeased.

	Let's go back to the political correctness and some of the headlines that are coming out here.
	We have, and this is a story from Breitbart, parents are angry over a quiz question that includes shooting at Trump as the possible answer.
	This is a high school English class, and this was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
	And the teacher was supposedly teaching George Orwell's novel Animal Farm.
	And she gave the kids a quiz.
	And here's the question.
	Napoleon has the gun fired for a new occasion.
	What is the new occasion?
	Bing! He was shooting at Trump.
	That's the first choice.
	His birthday. For completion of the windmill.
	To scare off the attackers of Animal Farm.
	Well, the question is, maybe she's not even teaching the central issue of Animal Farm.
	And that is the failure of communism.
	And how power corrupts, but especially focusing on communism.
	Talking about the parallels to the October 1917 revolution.
	And what she's doing is she's pushing a October 2017 revolution by saying, shooting at Trump.
	Isn't it interesting?
	I mean, did she maybe miss the point here, talking about the cannon shot and not talking about the parallels to Trotsky and Lenin and the rest of these people?
	I don't know. One of the parents was furious about that, said it's about respect for the office more than anything else.
	This is enough of this.
	No way. It was inappropriate to show the name of a sitting president in that question.
	To me it was so wrong in light of the situation in our country and the divisiveness and all, and maybe they don't realize that this teacher and the left are trying to start another October Revolution.
	That is really what is the basis of this.
	So maybe she was missing the points with her class that were being made by Animal Farm, and maybe we're missing the points that are made by her behavior.
	Meanwhile, here's some more political correctness.
	We've got a Detroit firefighter who's fired for bringing racially insensitive watermelon to work.
	And again, we cannot escape these stereotypes that are out there because the left keeps propagating them.
	The stereotypes that black people like fried chicken and southern cooking and watermelon like the rest of us who grew up in the South.
	Yeah, we all like that stuff.
	And I guess this guy, they said it's not mandatory, but it's voluntary that on your first day of work in the fire department, you bring in some gifts.
	And usually people bring in donuts.
	I guess this guy decided that he'd bring in something healthy and bring in a watermelon.
	So he brought in a watermelon and he stuck a bow on top of it.
	And that was it.
	He got fired. They said he should have known 90% of the firefighters at this station are black.
	So there you go.
	They have zero tolerance.
	If you violate any stereotypes, and they will propagate those stereotypes religiously, they will keep those things going.
	Meanwhile, we have Dianne Feinstein saying that no law would have stopped the Las Vegas gunman.
	And I think we have this clip, guys.
	Let's see if we... You do have that clip, right?
	Let's run the clip of Dianne Feinstein saying there was no law that could have done this.
	I'll tell you what she's going to say. They asked her, could there have been any law passed that would have stopped him?
	She said, no, he passed the background checks, but they keep pushing for background checks.
	They would have, he did that on multiple occasions, she said.
	And yet the interesting thing is that the NRA, following last week's mass shooting, wants to have the ATF, not even Congress, but they want the ATF. To infringe upon the Second Amendment.
	And do it in a way that's never been done before.
	That's the key thing, folks. The reason that the ATF under Barack Obama passed on this was because the ATF has never regulated anything outside of the firing mechanism.
	And this was outside of the firing mechanism.
	So now the NRA is begging them to regulate things that are outside of the firing mechanism.
	They're begging the bureaucracy to write the law.
	And they're begging the bureaucracy to extend their control, to infringe upon our rights.
	That's the principle involved.
	I don't care about bump stocks.
	Most people don't see them as a serious issue.
	And we're going to play something for you later in the video.
	Later in the show, we've got a video of some individuals showing you that if he had...
	A bipod, which is what they show in the picture.
	You see that rifle there on the floor with a bipod.

	But that doesn't stop anybody from saying we want to go through this list and ban all of this stuff.

	And said, this is a well-to-do man.
	He wasn't mentally ill.
	He wasn't a criminal.
	He wasn't a juvenile.
	He wasn't a gangbanger.
	And he was able to buy 40 weapons over a period of time, have 12 bump stocks, line them up, break through two windows in his hotel suite, and take aim At tens of thousands, well, I guess over a thousand people at a concert.
	And this was such a cross-section.
	Okay, we'll talk about that more.

	Welcome back to Real News.
	I'm David Knight on this Columbus Day.
	We'll continue to call it Columbus Day.
	We have for a couple hundred years, and we are going to continue to call it Columbus Day, especially on this show.
	Let's get back to what's happening with the appeasement, however, on the Second Amendment.
	And let's take a look at some information that is coming out about this shooter.
	We've had several people speaking out.
	We've had a press conference of some of the law enforcement individuals who were in the room.
	I've spoken out.
	We have a strange set of comments from Steve Wynn yesterday on one of the Sunday shows.
	We're going to take a look at that and we're going to take a look at the pictures that we saw of the bipod that were on a bump stock.
	And we've got some people who actually went out and shot.
	Does this work if you use that kind of bipod?
	Actually, it doesn't.
	And so we're going to show you, and you can hear this, and I'll narrate it for the people who are listening on the radio.
	But let's go back first to Senator Feinstein, who basically said that no law would have stopped this guy.
	Here's what she had to say. We'll play that for you again.
	And said, this is a well-to-do man.
	He wasn't mentally ill.
	He wasn't a criminal.
	He wasn't a juvenile.
	He wasn't a gangbanger.
	And he was able to buy 40 weapons over a period of time, have 12 bump stocks, line them up, break through two windows in his hotel suite, and take aim At tens of thousands, well I guess over a thousand people at a concert.
	And this was such a cross-section of America that it really struck at every one of us that this could happen to you and we want to stop it.
	Could there have been any law passed that would have stopped him?
	No. He passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions.
	Now that's kind of interesting, coming from Dianne Feinstein, because Democrats have always, after every shooting incident, they have always pushed for background checks.
	And a lot of Democrats are now pushing for more background checks as well.
	We say, well, these individuals have, in most cases, have passed background checks.
	And so now she's changing the narrative a little bit.
	This tells you something, I think.
	What she did there was she laid out a scenario...
	Saying this guy didn't have any history of mental illness.
	He passed a background check for multiple times and so forth.
	And he was still able to go out and acquire guns and then do this.
	And just no explanation whatsoever from Dianne Feinstein.
	So you look at that, and what is she saying to us?
	Is she saying, Mrs. America, turn in your guns because you cannot be trusted?
	See, that is the mentality of the left.
	They want to tell you, as they support Black Lives Matter, As they're out there taking the knee saying the cops are killers.
	We need to stop them and so forth.
	They're totally evil. And then they want to tell you that only the cops should have guns.
	Good cops will tell you that they don't want a situation like that.
	We had Sheriff David Clark say to people, we can't be everywhere.
	We'll try to catch these people once an incident happens.
	And we'll try to get there as quickly as we can.
	But you're on your own.
	So you should go out and get a gun.
	Learn how to use it responsibly.
	And be able to protect yourself until we can get there to help you.
	That's the reality of the situation.
	He was honest with people.
	And good cops will tell you that.
	And of course, one of the performers who was there that night earlier, when I talked to Kaya Jones after the event, and she said, yeah, we went back to one of the guys with Big and Rich.
	It was the rich guy.
	I forget what his first name is.
	But he said they went back to his nightclub.
	And he was there performing, and when they told them that they thought they had multiple shooters on the ground going through crowds and so forth, they stopped performing.
	They told everybody to take cover.
	He was the only one with a gun, and there was a...
	An officer who was in Vegas on his honeymoon, he had not brought his weapon with him because, you know, we have TSA. It's a big hassle.
	He probably could have carried it if it had gone through all the different procedures, but it's such a hassle that even cops don't want to bother carrying their weapons.
	So he showed him his badge and said, do any of you have a gun?
	And the country and western singer who was on stage handed him his gun.
	See, that's the relationship between law-abiding people, people who have been vetted for license carry and so forth.
	They're not criminals, Dianne Feinstein.
	Having a gun doesn't make you a dangerous psychopath, Diane Feinstein, or the rest of these people.
	And so that was the relationship between him.
	He said, here, take my gun, because, of course, the police officer was likely to be better trained than he was, and that was the only gun that anybody had.
	And as Kaya Jones said, we were all wishing that we had guns to protect ourselves in that situation.
	And only one guy with just a revolver with a couple of shots in it was going to stand there.
	And he took the point to protect everybody.
	He stood on that for over two hours until they told everybody everything was under control.
	But see, that's the reality.
	But I think what Feinstein is doing here is she's telling everybody, no, no, he passed everything.
	No law would have stopped him.
	The only thing that would have stopped this is what she's going to say.
	That's the implication here is to take the guns away from Americans and leave them only in the hands of law enforcement.
	The same people that are telling you you can't trust law enforcement.
	And we've seen what this looks like in Catalonia.
	Weapons in the hands of the population are a deterrent to the things that we saw in Catalonia.
	Where a handful of well-armed, armored national police came in and overwhelmed the peaceful voters And the local police who are trying to protect them and the firefighters who are trying to protect them in Catalonia.
	That's why you have the Second Amendment.
	That's the first reason you have the Second Amendment.
	The second reason is to be able to protect yourself, just as Sheriff Clark was saying.
	And I related a story last week when we were talking about this.
	I said, look, that's the macro picture, what we saw in Catalonia and Spain.
	The micro picture, and I've lived it in my own life.
	Had a situation where we had a break-in when I was in a store at night.
	And we had time because the individual was coming through a wall.
	It was a shopping center that was just being built.
	And we got on the phone and we tried to get the police to get there.
	The reason we were there overnight was because we got trapped during a snowstorm.
	They couldn't get there. It took them a long time to get there.
	Once they got there, the individuals were already in the store.
	We left. And as my wife was running out the back door and as I was trying to secure the door from these people chasing us, they pulled the gun on her and almost shot her.
	And so I learned several things.
	I am not going to call the police because we've seen over and over again that you're more likely to get shot by the police than you are these other individuals.
	And when I would go to clear out a false alarm in one of my stores, I would not call the police because I didn't want to be walking around with a gun.
	They might shoot me inside the store.
	So I always told the security services, call me, but do not call the police.
	Because you have to take responsibility for yourself, for your family.
	And that's what the Second Amendment allows you to do.
	And we should not be infringing this based on a made-up story that doesn't make any sense.
	And let me just digress here for a moment.
	We've got about two minutes or so left in this segment before I go back to the gun stuff.
	I watched the movie American Maid.
	And I can understand why it's not doing well in the marketplace.
	It's not that it's a bad film.
	It would have been a pretty good film if they hadn't tried to make it a historical documentary.
	And of course, Tom Cruise is playing the character Barry Seale.
	And it bears no relationship whatsoever to Barry Seale or Iran-Contra or the crack cocaine epidemics that were created by the CIA. All of that stuff is purged, is sanitized.
	They didn't want to have any pictures of George H.W. Bush or William Jefferson Clinton because even though it takes place in MENA, you know, you can't Can't taint the Clintons.
	And they came out and almost apologized for it beforehand, saying, well, you don't want to put anybody that is currently living because you might get sued.
	And, you know, if you get sued, if you get these guys angry, former President Bush or former President Clinton, if they sue you, you might be so depressed, you might commit suicide.
	Yeah, that's really, they didn't want to get suicided.
	So they basically whitewashed this thing.
	And anybody that knows anything about Barry Seal and the history of this is going to be very, very disappointed in the movie.
	And anybody who doesn't know anything about Barry Seal isn't going to be interested in seeing it.
	I mean, the only thing they've got there is a little made-up story by Tom Cruise.
	And I think the best headline I saw on this should have been called, American Made Up.
	Because it is totally made up and it totally whitewashes all the criminal actions that were done by our presidents, by our CIA, by the DEA, by the FBI. And yet we're supposed to rely on these people to tell us the truth about the shooting in Vegas.
	Come on. I wasn't born yesterday and neither were you, I hope.
	You don't fall for this nonsense that's being put out there.

	I don't see how this guy could have pulled all this stuff off by himself.

	And he was on Fox News Sunday.

	Alright, let's talk about what's coming out now.
	There was this picture of the room that showed a Pen on a piece of paper, and everybody was saying, was this a suicide note?
	What was on the note? Well, we now had some comments from some law enforcement officers that were there talking about what they saw on the note.
	Here's that clip, video number one, guys.
	I noticed a note on the nightstand near his shooting platform.
	I could see on it he had written the distance, the elevation he was on, the drop of what his bullet was going to be.
	For the crowd.
	So he had that written down and figured out so he would know where to shoot to hit his targets from there.
	What were the numbers? I'm just trying to...
	He had done calculations?
	Yeah, he had written...
	He must have done the calculations or gone online or something to figure it out of what his altitude was going to be, on how high up he was, how far out the crowd was going to be, and at that distance, what his drop of his bullet was going to be.
	He hadn't written out the calculations.
	All he had was written out the final numbers that were on the sheet.
	Okay, that's kind of interesting.
	He hadn't gone through the entire, he hadn't shown his work, as we used to say in mathematics.
	You know, you've got to show me your work on the final exam.
	You can't just give me the final answer.
	But that's not the most suspicious thing about that.
	What is suspicious is that he chose to do something that was going to be full auto fire.
	A spray-and-pray scenario.
	I've got a big mass of people here, 20,000 to 30,000 people, and I'm just going to fire indiscriminately in the crowd as quickly as I can and hit as many people as I can.
	And yet we've had other people who are special forces individuals even tweeting it out and being retweeted by Huffington Post, I think.
	No, it was Daily Beast retweeted that.
	And the people had said, look, if he had just a moderately trained shooter set up as a sniper, he could have killed a lot more people from that vantage point than he did.
	And yet we're being told that he had done ballistic calculations when he's doing a spray and pray scenario.
	He's just firing indiscriminately into the crowd.
	Now, that is possible that he's trying to get some general elevation, but it is not probable, is it?
	I mean, when we look at this stuff, as I said before, we've got to get over this idea that everything in life is either a one or a zero.
	Life is not digital.
	Life is not binary.
	Life is analog. And so when we look at things, we talk about probabilities.
	And we say, well, that doesn't look like that's likely.
	That doesn't mean it's not possible.
	It just doesn't look very likely that a guy who has that kind of a scenario would be doing that.
	Now, the other part of this that is also fishy is they talked about the fact that he had shooting stands.
	And again, that would be something you would do if you were a sniper with a scope.
	It is not something that you would be doing if you just wanted to fire indiscriminately into a crowd.
	Doesn't make any sense, does it?
	And Yet we saw pictures of the gun.
	Pull that still picture up again.
	We saw pictures of one of the guns laying on the ground, and it had a bipod on it.
	And this is just an ordinary bipod.
	That's just for people who are not watching this, who are listening.
	That is something that is attached to the muzzle of the gun near the end.
	And it is just two legs that come down.
	That's why we call it a bipod.
	And we were told that he had this set up and he was shooting with a bump stock.
	Now, we have a couple of individuals.
	They have a YouTube channel, and they did some research on this.
	They said, well, let's get a gun like that.
	We'll set it up with a bipod, and we'll put a bump stock on it, and we'll see how this works.
	And I want to play that video for you guys.
	Clip number five. First, they fire it from the shoulder the way that it is supposed to work, and you can hear how they get automatic fire.
	Here's that clip. Okay, for the first part of our test, we're going to fire the bump stock from the shoulder the way it's meant to be used and see how that works.
	You ready, Steven? I sure am.
	All right, brother, rock and roll.
	Warm it up. All right, he went through the entire magazine that he had there.
	Now he's going to put in... What kind of a rifle is this, Steven?
	Now he's got it down on the ground.
	Arrow precision... Receiver set, and I've built it up with my own parts and different pieces and parts, UTG Pro Free Float Hand Guard.
	The shooter was supposed to have used a Dang of Defense DDM-4, which is fairly similar to this rifle.
	He had a Free Float Hand Rail on it.
	And a bipod, similar to this whole setup.
	And his bipod is exactly like the one that was pictured on the shooter's gun.
	Now listen, when he tries to shoot it full auto, what happens?
	Now we should tell you that we've tried this probably about 400 rounds worth of ammo to try to get this thing to work, so let's see what we can do now.
	It does like two or three of them stops because it starts kicking back on him.
	Can't seem to get more than seven or eight rounds at a time.
	Hear that? He said he couldn't get more than seven or eight rounds at a time.
	Some of those are three or four rounds.
	And what was happening is, you understand, and I'll explain it for the people who are not watching the video, the whole idea of the bump stock is that it's going to, you're going to try to hold your hand stationary, and it's going to take the recoil and make it bounce back so that you don't have to keep pulling the trigger.
	It's going to be that regenerative bouncing that's going to make the thing go into full auto fire.
	The problem is that when you use a bipod to stabilize it, that stops the bouncing.
	So he can only get three to seven rounds off at a time.
	And that's exactly the way that they had with the bipod.
	I don't know if you've got the one there, the video clip.
	Do you have the video clip of somebody who has the recoil bipod there?
	Okay, sorry. There is another bipod that does work with that, but that's not the one that they pictured in the hotel room.
	It was called a recoil rail, and it's been available for a couple of years as well.
	And that has a flexible spring mechanism that is up near the top, and that allows you to not stifle the bouncing movement of the bump stock that makes this thing work.
	But that was not the kind of bipod that was shown on the gun.
	They put the kind of bipod that was shown on that gun, and it doesn't work that way.
	So we've got a couple of things that are wrong with this scenario.
	We're told that he was set up like a sniper with a stand, and they had bipods and so forth, and yet that doesn't work as we just saw.
	We were told that he was making ballistics calculations, even though he was doing a spray-and-pray scenario, just trying to get something that was full auto and fire into a dense crowd from a high elevation.
	Now, that was possible, but not likely.
	So there's a couple of issues here that really don't make sense.
	And I want to play for you some of the information that we got from Steve Nguyen as well.
	We'll probably wait until the next segment to do that.
	But what is coming out of this is the fact that we had back on October the 5th, the middle of the week last week, There were all of these stories.
	People who knew him said, well, he gambled $100,000 an hour in video poker.
	And he was consuming a constant stream of booze.
	And he was a VIP guest at tournaments.
	He got free rooms and shopping sprees and so forth.
	And when I talked about this last week, I don't know if I got to the final point of it, but I was just talking about my experiences in Las Vegas.
	What my dad told me when we went there.
	What I told my sons, I said, look at all these people here playing the slot machines.
	Now everybody doesn't dress very nice.
	But when I was a kid, some people would dress nice.
	They just keep pouring money in, pouring money in.
	My dad said, look at this casino here.
	Look at who's getting wealthy here and who's dumping their money in there.
	You understand that when you go to Vegas, the house rules are set up so that even if the thing is set up so that it's 55% chance of the house winning and 45% chance of you winning, the longer you play...
	The more likely you are to lose money.
	Was this guy laundering money for somebody?
	Because you are eventually going to go broke if you gamble all the time.
	Don't talk to me about responsible gamblers.
	That's an oxymoron.
	That isn't happening. Something else was going on.

	I'm David Knight. We're going to take a look at the news and we're going to get back to the narrative that is being sold to us about the lone wolf shooter in Las Vegas and the shopping list of prohibitions that they have based on their narrative.

	I want to cover some breaking headline news at this point.
	And we have something new that is being foisted upon us now.
	We've all had the Patriot Act.
	In the wake of the September 11th attack, now we've got something new.
	The USA Liberty Act.
	And yes, it respects the Constitution and your liberties every bit as much as the Patriot Act did.
	Which is to say, it doesn't at all.
	We see this all the time from the government.
	Every time they talk to us, they sell us a...
	Every time they put together a bill, you can expect that they're going to come up with some phony acronym that says something like LIBERTY And it is going to be to attack your liberties.
	They're going to come up with the Patriot Act, which is unpatriotic.
	They do this every single time.
	And as the new American points out, every time Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act is set to expire, the surveillance hawks prop it up.
	They give it a fresh coat of paint.
	And they promise to really, really, this time, we're going to protect the privacy of American citizens.
	And as they point out, and as we always see, every time these reforms succeed in only refueling the surveillance machine so that it can continue to bulldoze your privacy and your rights.
	in the name of national security.
	So we have the Liberty Act, and it's being put out there by Bob Goodlatte, I guess is the way you pronounce his name, a congressman from Virginia, a Republican.
	John Conyers, Democrat of Michigan.
	Jim Sensenbrenner, Republican of Wisconsin.
	Sheila Jackson Lee, Democrat from Texas.
	I mean, how could these people put together anything that you would trust?
	I don't think so.
	I don't think so. But they're calling it the Liberty Act.
	Because, you know, we've already had the USA Freedom Act, which didn't really protect our freedoms.
	Now we've got the Liberty Act.
	So they've basically gone down the whole list.
	Patriot, liberty, freedom.
	And we don't get any of those things, do we?
	This is yet another example.
	And every time they sell it to us this way, and I want you to keep this in mind, because the way that we're being sold this Immigration Act, what is working its way through now, It's the same sort of thing.
	We've got some deals coming out from the White House, and we're told, just like we're told that the Patriot Act and the Freedom Act and the Liberty Act were going to be reforms of the surveillance state, and they were going to protect our freedoms.
	Now we're being told that, guess what?
	Yet again, we are going to give amnesty to foreign citizens who are criminally trespassing in the United States, and in exchange for that, we're really going to get border protection this time.
	So, in the same way that the Liberty Act is really going to protect your privacy and your constitutional rights, the deal on amnesty is going to protect the borders.
	You understand? How many times will the American people fall for the same lie?
	And, of course, this lie about keeping the Dreamers is one that's been circulating around since the time of Ronald Reagan.
	That was the first time we were sold that lie.
	And a lot of people went for it.
	And now, 30-plus years later, we ought to understand what it is, see it for what it is, and shut it down.
	As Zero Hedge points out on Sunday night, the White House revealed it is seeking more funds from Congress to fund Trump's wall.
	Okay, so we just get that wall.
	We'll be okay. Give them amnesty.
	They're going to hire thousands more immigration officers and so forth and so on.
	But they stopped short of saying that the White House will insist upon them in exchange for amnesty, in exchange for letting the Dreamers stay here, in exchange for making them legal.
	And that is amnesty.
	If they stay here, if they're made legal, that is amnesty.
	And you can call it what you want.
	You can play semantics with it, but we're not going to be fooled.
	They say that Trump's new immigration principles and policies call for a crackdown in exchange for keeping the dreamers here.
	How about the American dream?
	How about being able to afford our homes because we don't have to pay property taxes to educate the world?

	We're going to get back to the narrative that is developing about the shooter in Las Vegas.
	I want to play for you What Wayne LaPierre said.
	And I also want to play for you what Steve Wynn said yesterday.
	Now in the last hour...
	I played for you the statements by the Las Vegas Police Department that came in there and said, well, we saw this note, and it had a lot of ballistic information on it.
	It had all numbers. It didn't show his work.
	It just had his final results on there.
	Well, it's kind of interesting, but it's also interesting that, again, as we pointed out, he chose a situation where there were going to be a lot of people masked together in an open scenario, and he wanted full auto or whoever was doing it, full auto to inflict massive indiscriminate casualties on people. full auto to inflict massive indiscriminate casualties on people.
	As others have pointed out, if he wanted to set this up and shoot as a sniper, he probably could have killed a lot more people.
	He wouldn't have injured as many, but he could have killed a lot more people.
	And so now we're told that he has these ballistic calculations, even though you look at the initial scenario, it just looks like he's spraying the crowd with bullets.
	He doesn't care. But now we see ballistics.
	We hear that he had a bipod.
	We see a picture of a bipod.
	I showed you pictures of a couple of individuals, Bobby Powell and others, who went out and said, all right, we're going to show you how it works off the shoulder.
	Now we're going to show you how it works with that particular bipod.
	There are bipods you can get that would work with a bump stop, but not that one.
	And basically it shuts down the bumping movement that makes it fire semi-automatic.
	Now I want to play for you what Wayne LaPierre said as he was on one of the Sunday shows.
	This is video number four, guys.
	Well, I do think this. I mean, if we could legislate morality, we would have done it long ago.
	I mean, as we talked before, Paris wouldn't have happened.
	They outlawed fully automatic guns.
	Brussels, San Bernardino, California has every gun law under the sun and still happens.
	I mean, the bad people could care.
	But on bump stocks, let me say this.
	The fact is that there...
	The Obama administration, a couple years ago, legalized a device, their ATF, that fuzzed the line between semi-automatics and fully-automatics.
	And if we're able to fuzz that line, all semi-automatics are at risk.
	I've been arguing with Dianne Feinstein for years, she's been trying to ban semi-autos, saying a semi-auto is a semi-auto, semi-automa, auto.
	It's not an assault weapon like you say, Dianne Steinfein, and it's not a machine gun.
	If you fuzz the line, they're all at risk and we're not going to let that happen.
	Well, let's not fuzz the line.
	She says this specific piece of legislation just bans bump fire stocks.
	So does the NRA support that or no?
	It's illegal to convert a semi-automatic to a fully automatic.
	ATF needs to do its job.
	They need to look at this and do its job.
	Her argument is, and the ATF's is, they can't rule on this.
	It's out of their purview that it has to be done in legislation.
	So, is the NRA position it can't be done through legislation, or you oppose it?
	Where are you on this? No, we think ATF ought to do its job, look at this, and draw a bright line.
	If I'm a Republican and I'm a fan of the NRA, do I want to say no or yes to legislation that does this?
	I think you want to tell ATF to do its job, it's an interpretive issue, and they need to get the job done.
	But not let Dianne Feinstein, which is what she wants to do, turn this all into some Christmas tree on the hill where she brings all her anti-gun circus she's been trying to do for years into this.
	Alright, now I agree with him that they're trying to blur the line between a semi-automatic and a fully automatic.
	And we've had the left talk about an assault rifle.
	They clearly don't have any definition that they're adhering to on an assault rifle.
	As he's pointing out, a semi-automatic is one where it fires every time you pull the trigger.
	Fully automatic, you hold the trigger down and it fires continuously.
	Now the way they have given the ATF authority is to let them regulate the firing mechanism.
	And if they allow the ATF to go beyond that, one of the things that the left defines an assault rifle as is anything that has stuff that looks scary or looks militaristic to them on the stock.
	So where does that end?
	See, to me, that opens up a can of worms if you let the ATF go beyond regulating the firing mechanism.
	And there's a lot of issues with this either way you go.
	And, of course, we had Nancy Pelosi last week saying, is this a slippery slope?
	I certainly hope so.
	They want to use every incident, real or manufactured, To extend their control over our lives.
	To take away, by gradual infringement, the Second Amendment.
	And as I pointed out, when you look at the First Amendment, it says Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech and so forth.
	Because they knew that they could do it by fiat.
	They could go out and tomorrow they could say, we're going to say that you can't have freedom of speech about certain things.
	And they've tried to do that.
	But they can't do that By a one-day fiat confiscation order, it simply will not work from a practical standpoint.
	You can't go from a fully armed population that is heavily armed like it is here in the United States and just tell everybody, Mr.
	and Mrs. America, turn in your gun.
	That's not going to work. The founders understood that.
	They understood that people, and I think even in the 21st century, even Americans are awake enough, especially gun owners, to understand what would be involved in that, and they wouldn't go for it.
	And so they knew that it would be a process of gradual infringement, death by a thousand cuts, and that's what we have to be careful about.
	And one of the things that concerns me about this is that if we say that we want the ATF, To make these regulations, you have abdicated the rightful position of Congress, and quite frankly I don't think the Congress or the government has the right to make any kind of gun restrictions.
	And when we look at the people who wrote this, and we have a different commentary that we'll play for you here a little bit later.
	Stephen Colbert was talking about this.
	Actually, it was Bill Maher. Sorry.
	Bill Maher said the Second Amendment was passed to enforce slavery.
	No, the people who wrote the Second Amendment were people who had had their state-of-the-art military weapons and their cannons confiscated by the British.
	And the ones that they did not confiscate were used against the British as the British went back to their base.
	It was a pyrrhic victory for the British, even though they were able to confiscate some weapons.
	No, it was about preserving the means to preserve our defense.
	It was about having a deterrent to tyranny.
	And so I don't think that there ought to be any infringements on the Second Amendment.
	And all of these regulations that are put out there, in my opinion, are unconstitutional.
	But if we're going to...
	Take that and go with it and say we're going to be able to infringe on this and they're going to ignore that part of the Constitution.
	Then the worst thing I think that can happen is to have a bureaucracy making these determinations on its own.
	I think that is a very dangerous and a very slippery slope.
	And I do not want to see any more powers abdicated from the Congress, from our elected representatives to our unelected permanent political bureaucracy.
	Because that's the problem with a number of issues, not just with the Second Amendment, but with many issues.
	We have the bureaucracy writing the laws, as I mentioned before, 80,000 pages of regulations a year.
	And the Congress could never crank that kind of stuff out.
	That's why we have a Congress.
	We want to be able to have accountability for the people who are writing the laws, and we don't want that many laws written, quite frankly.
	So, I think that is a very dangerous, very slippery slope.
	Let's move now to what Steve Wynn and some of the casino owners are saying.
	We've heard that this individual, and this was reported in the middle of last week, the guy that they have identified as the shooter, calling him a responsible gambler.
	This is a guy who was...
	I mean, you know, when you look at this...
	And like I've related before, when I went to Vegas, we had a voucher from our airline.
	They said, here, you can take this to this casino.
	We took it in. It was like a $5 or $10 voucher.
	And we're looking around like babes in the woods.
	And this one lady who's got one of these spinning wheels says, look, just put it all on one bet and then walk away because the odds are going to catch up with you the longer you gamble.
	So there is no such thing as responsible gambler, folks.
	They have set the house rules up so that the longer you play, The more you're guaranteed to lose.
	So there's something going on with somebody who could spend this kind of money and do it on a regular basis.
	And when he's playing video poker, let's understand, this is not the Cincinnati Kid, if you've seen that movie.
	This is not 21 where they're counting on blackjack.
	They shut those people down.
	They want to make sure that they run the odds.
	And if you're going to sit there on a video poker machine, that's just one level up from a slot machine.
	That is something that they have set those odds completely.
	So the fact that this guy would be a responsible perpetual gambler, that he's not using this to launder money or something, that just doesn't wash with me.

	All right, let's play the clip from Steve Wynn.
	We were talking on Fox News Sunday yesterday with Chris Wallace.
	He had some interesting things to say, and I'll play the clip and then we'll comment on it.
	Anything interesting that stood out over the six years, nobody that's ever worked here has ever seen the gentleman or the lady take a drink of wine, beer, or alcohol of any kind.
	Now, a lot of people don't drink, but considering their frequency of all the restaurants and their behavior as normal tourists, taking advantage of everything that's available in our resort, They never, ever imbibed in any liquor.
	Their behavior was conservative, private, understated in every way.
	You never, ever would stop a man like this coming in the building.
	However, Nobody in this company's history, no public person has ever walked in the service elevator unless they were accompanied by security.
	Where'd that come from? That wouldn't happen.
	Secondly... Did he go in the service elevator, Steve?
	I'm just saying, anything like that, I'm not sure whether he did.
	But nobody ever goes in the back of the house unaccompanied by security.
	But another thing, being in a room for three days in the do not disturb situation, that would have triggered an alarm here.
	And would have considered, would have been considered as a potentially dangerous thing from the guest's point of view, that maybe the person was ill.
	So let's hold that there for a moment.
	Because it's very interesting.
	He goes on this long thing about the fact that he didn't drink.
	I don't know why that would be important.
	I guess maybe now we're going to start profiling people like me who don't drink.
	Of course you won't find me in a casino either because I don't gamble.
	But he went into a long jag about that.
	And say, yeah, we really knew this guy.
	He'd been in our casino quite a lot, and we had a lot of people, people who worked as masseuses, people in the beauty shop that knew this man, knew this woman completely, and so forth and so on.
	Now, we've been told the middle of last week...
	That this was a guy who gambled $100,000 an hour with video poker and that he consumed a constant stream of booze and that concerned some of the people that knew him.
	And so now we get a different narrative.
	We get this conflicting narrative.
	But I thought it was also interesting that he goes, however, nobody in this company's history, no public person has ever walked into the service elevator unless they were accompanied by security.
	That just wouldn't happen.
	And then Wallace says, did he go into a service elevator?
	No. And he goes, oh, no, I don't mean that.
	But, you know, we would take a concern about the fact that he didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign on.
	And he had already spent a great deal of time talking about the Do Not Disturb thing.
	I'm not going to play the clip, but I'll just tell you to give you an idea of what he had to say.
	He said, we also have rules about...
	This is earlier in the interview.
	He had already talked about that.
	So... He's talking about, well, we knew him.
	He's a very conservative person.
	He wouldn't have raised any flags with us.
	But we would have taken concern about the fact that he went into a service elevator.
	Well, did he do that? Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
	And so it's kind of like he slipped and said something he wasn't supposed to let out.
	That's what it sounded like.
	But then he goes back to this whole idea about the fact that he had had a Do Not Disturb sign on for a very long time.
	Much earlier, at the beginning of the interview, he had gone on at great length about the Do Not Disturb issue and how that would have raised flags.
	We've hired all these people from SEAL Team 6 to Ray Kelly.
	They have looked at our security system here, and no, we don't want to create a system where everybody is searched all the time, although they immediately did that after this shooting.
	He starts to talk about the Do Not Disturb sign.
	He said, we also have rules about Do Not Disturb.
	If a room goes Do Not Disturb for more than 12 hours, we investigate.
	We constantly, we don't allow guns in this building unless they're being carried by our employees.
	There's a lot of them. But if anybody's got a gun and we find them continually, we eject them from the hotel.
	And then he goes on to say, we certainly wouldn't invade the privacy of a guest in a room, but let's put it this way.
	This Scenario that we're aware of would have indicated that he didn't let anyone in the room for two or three days.
	That would have raised all kinds of alarms here.
	And we would have, on behalf of the guests, of course, investigated for safety.
	And it would have been a provocative situation.
	I'm sure that the same is true in other hotels.
	But in this hotel, a 36-hour, a 24-hour, 36-hour do not disturb on a room is a predicate for investigation.
	And so he'd already talked about that at length.
	And so he starts talking then about...
	How conservative this guy was and said, however, nobody would have ever gone into the service elevator at our hotel.
	Does he know if he went into the service elevator at that hotel?
	And when we look at that, if he was allowed in the service room of the Mandalay Bay, understand that the guy who is the CEO of that hotel, his name is Murren, he is the chair of the American Gaming Association Board of Directors.
	That's the National Trade Association for the Gambling Industry.
	And he was also named by President Obama to serve on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.
	Now, the National Infrastructure Advisory Council reports to Homeland Security to provide the president with advice on security of critical infrastructure sectors and their information systems.
	So here's a guy that owns Mandalay Bay.
	That advises Homeland Security on security.
	And it sounds like, from what Steve Wynn said, that this guy was allowed into the service elevator.
	Certainly implies that.
	And then he backed that up and then went on to a narrative that he'd already talked about.
	All this is very suspicious, folks.
	All of this is very suspicious.
	It looks to me like they've got a wish list.
	Looks to me like they've got an agenda that they're willing to use.
	And you can make of it what you want.
	Regardless of the who, what, how, why...
	All these questions that we'd like to ask in journalism, regardless of the answers to any of those things.
	What is this being used for now?
	What is going on now?
	Right now, they're trying to enact new controls over our liberties, gradually removing the Second Amendment by a gradual process of infringement.
	And they're going to be removing our ability to move as well.
	And our ability to be able to move around even if we're pedestrians.
	They're going to take away your right to drive, folks.
	They're going to take away your ownership of cars.
	They're going to control transportation.
	But they are also going to control your access as a pedestrian.
	You're going to see TSA checkpoints everywhere.
	That's what this is ultimately about along with gun control.

	As most of you already know, I am a voracious consumer of news and information.

	Welcome back to Real News on this Columbus Day 2017.
	In the last segment, we played the comments of Steve Wynn as he was talking to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday yesterday.
	And he's talking about the fact that they profile individuals who come into their casino.
	And they're very careful about profiling, inspecting, and examining everyone that enters the building.
	That's a quote from him from the interview.
	And then he talks about how we knew this guy.
	He had stayed at our hotel before.
	He was very conservative.
	He didn't drink at all. Well, that's kind of interesting because we'd had other people that had said that he was a constant stream of booze.
	And the other people had testified that.
	But then he goes on to say, and we would have never allowed anybody in our service all day long.
	At which point, Chris Wallace says, he was in the service elevator.
	Well, no, I don't know anything about that.
	All right, let's talk now.
	Let's listen to what the Vegas Police Department said when they talk about all of the stuff that was carried up to his room.
	Do you think that he might have taken that up the service elevator?
	Do you think he might have had access to the service elevator to get all of this stuff up into his room?
	Here's what the Vegas police had to say.
	Armory. An armory.
	So many guns, so many magazines, stacks and stacks of magazines everywhere, just in suitcases, all neatly stacked against pillars that were in the room, all stacked up, rifles placed all throughout, all kinds of Monitors and electrical equipment he had in there.
	It just looked like almost a gun store.
	Shell casings all over the floor.
	I could smell the gunpowder that went off in the room.
	We were tripping over guns.
	Tripping over long guns inside.
	There were so many. That many? Yes.
	My initial scan of coming in the room with my rifle is just seeing one male down bleeding from the face.
	He's not a threat. Kept going, kept going, kept going.
	You said one male down.
	That was the shooter?
	Yes. Steven Paddock.
	What were his wounds?
	I didn't see any apparent wounds to his head, but I did see a lot of blood that had come out of his mouth.
	There was a bloody revolver, I think, nearby, nearby him, that was on the ground, consistent with him shooting himself.
	What else did you see? I saw a few phones.
	Laptops. A couple of laptops he had in there.
	A lot of drills.
	A lot of drills and drill bits.
	All kinds of tools. You got a lot of stuff in there.
	This was eerie. Very eerie.
	The dust from the explosive breach.
	And then you got the flashing lights.
	I mean, it looks straight up like out of a movie.
	So maybe that's why the sheriff had said, did he do all this stuff by himself?
	And he had a lot of stuff in that room, didn't he?
	And while they're describing all the contents and a lot of stuff there, maybe that is why the issues came up about the service elevator that Steve Wynn was not supposed to talk about.
	But did you hear what they said at the very beginning?
	He had all these rifles neatly stacked up.
	It was like it was a gun store.
	This is a guy who, in a fit of rage and insanity we're told, is raining fire down on a mass crowd below, but he takes the time to restack everything as he's been using it.
	Does that sound reasonable to you?
	Does that sound like what you would find at a crime scene?
	And of course there's the other issues that we will never know in terms of...
	Committing suicide. I mean, when you look at the situation with Vince Foster and how that was pushed around, I mean, are we ever going to get any answers on Steven Paddock?
	You can bet we aren't going to get any answers.
	But just to hear the comments that they had to say in terms of the fact that everything was neatly stacked, in terms of the quantity of stuff that was put up there, And we know that he had a Do Not Disturb sign on for three days.
	This looks very, very suspicious.
	It does not look to me like this is one individual.
	It looks to me like they had set up a shopping list of things that they wanted to prohibit.
	And they laid it out real nice and neatly there, like Santa Claus puts out his presents under the tree.
	These are all presents for Dianne Feinstein and the Democrats who want to take the Second Amendment away.
	Let's just line up all the different things that we want to ban here.
	And then the absurd issue about tannerite being found in his trunk.
	If he's got tannerite in his trunk and now we're told, oh, he must have had a car bomb because he had some tannerite and he had some ammunition there.
	Tannerite is a binary explosive.
	It is not dangerous until you mix the things together and then shoot it with something like a rifle to make it go off.
	It's not easily detonated.
	That's why they use it as something to mark a target so that you know you hit a target.
	And it's kind of fun to see the thing blow up a little bit.
	People use it in high concentration and they get hurt because they use it irresponsibly.
	But Tannerite in and of itself, now they say, oh, we've got to ban Tannerite.
	Because evidently that's one of the things that they would like to get rid of.
	So they put it in his trunk so they can get rid of it.
	It would not have been used.
	This is a guy who has planned everything out meticulously.
	And let's listen to that next clip about how he had planned everything.
	And this is video number eight.
	Let's play number eight, guys. Days of planning.
	Days of planning. He had toolboxes and power tools to run wires for his surveillance system.
	For everything that he had, it took him days to finish.
	So it took days and days of planning.
	This is something that went on for a very long time.
	And yet we're told that somehow he was going to make an escape into the car and then he was going to turn that into a car bomb or something.
	Or maybe he was going to take that Tannerite and he was going to put it on a tank that he could shoot.
	But he never did that. Why didn't he do that if he had days and days to plan?
	None of this stuff makes any sense.
	But it is... It is out there.
	They put all this stuff in and around his room, in and around his car, in his home.
	It is a shopping list for prohibition.
	That's all this is.
	None of that makes any sense.
	If he wanted to do something with the Tannerite or something, he could have put a massive amount of it somewhere where he could have detonated it.
	None of that happened. This is simply a fantasy narrative that is being put out there.
	And I believe some people died.
	I'm not saying that part of it is a fantasy.
	I'm saying all of this stuff about the lone shooter, all of these things, it's just simply an issue.
	They do want people to die.
	Understand that it's far more powerful if people die than it is if nobody dies.
	Nobody's going to pay attention if there aren't mass casualties.
	They want mass casualties.
	They don't shy away from that.
	They didn't shy away from 3,000 people dying at 9-11.
	They want people to die so they can sell their agenda of prohibition and confiscation.
	That's an important part of it for people to die.
	And so I don't think this thing is a complete hoax.
	I don't think that we are hearing what is really going on, and I think information is going to be withheld from us.
	I mean, when we look at the FBI, the FBI has always been Johnny on the spot to shut down investigations, just like they did Flight 800, just as they've done in other issues.
	And we're seeing crazy stuff now coming out.
	Investigators now believe the Las Vegas gunman had severe undiagnosed mental illness They've shopped everything out there.
	They have shopped a prescription for Valium out there as being a possible motivator.
	Now they're saying that he's got undiagnosed mental illness.
	They talked about him seeming like a rational man, but then he doesn't seem like a rational man.
	He's got anger issues and he takes Valium and so forth.
	Again, I don't even...
	This guy... I believe had some kind of connections with somebody where he was laundering money.
	I just don't buy this whole responsible gambler stuff.
	And the massive amounts of money that are flowing through this scenario just really doesn't make any sense to me.
	And the question is...
	Now, is the NRA going to kowtow to this?
	Are they going to try to appease the gods of prohibition and tell the ATF to extend their regulations unilaterally?
	I don't want to see the ATF writing our gun laws.
	Sorry. I don't even want to see gun laws.
	I think they're unconstitutional according to the Second Amendment.
	But then we have this other issue.
	Are country stars going to back out?
	Daily Mail says country stars stay silent about the NRA partnerships after the Las Vegas shooting of 37 artists asked.
	Only one would admit that they still had ties to the Gun Association.
	And then you have this guy, Jason Aldean, I guess, is the individual.
	He performed on Saturday Night Live, and a lot of people were upset that he cut out on a benefit concert there in Las Vegas to go on Saturday Night Live.
	Is he going to be pushing the gun control amendment?
	I'm not saying that he is, but the question is, are they going to go soft as well?
	Is the NRA going to go soft?
	We've already seen the GOP go very soft, adopting the talking points of the left, just as Newt Gingrich said.
	Well, you know, technology changes. We've got to keep ramping up the prohibitions.

	He wrote in the New York Times on the 4th of July about the Second Amendment, which I had never been aware of this, and I feel like I was waiting for the moment when I thought people would be paying attention to this issue.
	And it is apropos to this issue we're talking about, because he says, It was intended to protect slaveholders who used militias to keep a firm grip on their slaves.
	It wasn't meant to let individuals...
	Turn everything into race.
	How could it? It was meant to guarantee the legality of well-regulated militias to handle the state's internal problems, especially the problem of a large slave population.
	It says a lot, doesn't it?
	It does. We ought to have a real debate in this country.
	Oh, yeah. It says a lot about you.
	It says nothing about history.
	Weapons of war in the hand of every Joe who wants to go in and buy 30 of them.

	We've heard that so many times now.
	And why should you have to get permission from the federal government to buy cough medicine?

	Only a liberal can lie to you like that.
	Only a liberal can tell you that guns were to keep slaves in control.
	Yeah, that is true. That's what governments use to keep their citizens in control when their citizens are slaves.
	And that's what we've had in this country.
	What happened as a consequence of the Civil War is that we stopped private slavery and everyone became a slave of Washington, D.C., the Washington, D.C. plantation.
	And yes, our overseers will be the only ones who have guns if they have their way.
	But we also had the founders who say, no free man shall ever be disbarred the use of guns.
	You're not a free man if you can't own guns.
	And that was one of the things that was held back from black people during Jim Crow laws and so forth.
	They understand that having a gun is a sign of freedom.
	So they say...
	That it was always about that.
	No, it was about making sure that your government would not enslave you.
	And yes, black people do have a right to own guns now.
	And they should stand up for that right.
	They should stand with us to make sure that that's not going to be taken away.
	But the left wants to divide us along every possible line, primarily along the lines of race.
	Remember, it was the Weathermen.
	It was Bill Ayers, the Weather Underground, that created this white-skinned privilege narrative.
	Bill Ayers stopped bombing buildings and he started bombing the minds of our children in the educational establishment.
	That's when he got really dangerous.
	When he stopped violence and started in the educational establishment.
	Selling the kinds of lies that you just heard Bill Maher talk about.
	The fact that the Second Amendment was passed to enforce slavery.
	What a juvenile lie.
	Anybody that knows the first thing about American history knows that what set it off was a shot heard around the world.
	When did that happen? That was when they were coming for the guns at Concord and Lexington, April the 19th.
	Why do they not tell you that?
	Why do they not teach that in the schools?
	Well, we know why they don't teach it in the schools.
	It's a patent lie.
	Now I want to play for you on this Columbus Day.
	Let's play Stephen Colbert asking if there isn't a chance for change if we can get white people to go away.
	Here's Stephen Colbert with his self-loathing as he talks to Ta-Nehisi Coates.
	What person you should go to for that?
	You should go to your pastor.
	Your pastor provides you hope.
	Your friends provide you hope.
	There are figures that exist in better times, the president of the United States provides you hope.
	There are people who have that kind of moral place in the world.
	That's not my job. That's somebody else's job.
	But I'm not asking you to make up.
	I'm asking you if you- He had asked him if there's any means for hope.
	How will change in America? Maybe.
	Maybe. I would have to make it up to actually answer that question in a satisfying way.
	What about the changing demographics of America?
	We have a constitutional system, democracy itself, while not rubber, is plastic.
	And as the demographics change, as white people become the minority in the country, which is coming, do you see a change for...
	Your question presumes that there is a static definition of whiteness, and that this is the first time that there's been demographic...
	A static definition of whiteness?
	What does that mean? Does that mean that we're going to start calling people who have white descendants or white ancestors like Barack Obama, are they now going to have white privilege?
	You don't think Obama had privilege as president?
	I mean, look at the executive orders that he put in there.
	And of course, he was just as white as he was black.
	So we don't have a static definition of whiteness because I guess whiteness can be used as a weaponized term to take down any group of people that you want to.
	I mean, we might have Asians being targeted as white because they succeed too much.
	Whiteness is not a static definition.
	This guy, Ta-Nehisi Coates, is someone who is one of the worst racists I've ever seen anywhere.
	This is the guy that Marvel Comics hired to do Black Panther comic books.
	And his sales plummeted.
	I guess people were tired of being told racist lies, having that preached to them in their comic books.
	The sale of the comic books that he was writing plunged by about 90%, so they fired him after a little while.
	But this guy is making all the rounds of the talk shows, and he is selling the most virulent form of racism you can imagine.
	And Stephen Colbert is right there egging him on.
	Why can't we get white people like me, he says.
	That's what Stephen Colbert is going to do.
	So remember that on this Columbus Day.
	Because now they're coming.
	First they came for Robert E. Lee.
	Now they're coming for Christopher Columbus.
	But make no doubt about it.
	They're coming for you.
	They're coming for the foundations of this country.
	They're trying to create a race war, a civil war that is based on race because they couldn't do it along economic lines and class lines like they did in the communist revolutions in Europe.

	In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

	Welcome back to Real News on this Columbus Day 2017.
	Let's take a look at the news.
	We have a development here in health care.
	We couldn't get the House or the Senate, Republican House or Senate, to do anything about it.
	Same people who had voted for outright repeal several times when they knew that it was safe, that nothing was going to happen, that Barack Obama would veto it.
	These same people then refused when they had President Trump who would sign the legislation.
	They refused to take Obamacare out.
	They refused to do anything about it, quite frankly.
	And as I've said before, I don't think we want to own this.
	I don't think we want to try to make it work.
	But let's try to take some of the freedom back while we can.
	Now we have President Trump, as we had talked about, I guess it was about a week or so ago.
	As we talked about here on Real News, Rand Paul was saying, I think you're going to see some executive actions coming in the next week or so.
	You're going to see some relaxation on the prohibitions of selling insurance policies across state lines.
	You're going to see some relaxation of the ability of individuals and businesses to band together to buy insurance and so forth.
	In other words, allowing us to have a little bit of choice in the marketplace.
	And remember, when President Trump ran, he had a very detailed plan.
	It had, I think it was nine different points.
	But basically, it was replacing mandates with marketplace.
	It was giving us money in terms of health savings accounts, credits, and so forth that would allow us to have purchasing power in the marketplace.
	To allow us, because this is so important, that the government wants to take over our health care and then dole it out to us like children on allowance, if you will.
	Or to mandate that we buy certain things and cause the cost to increase, as it is in some areas, by 30 some odd percent a year.
	That means it's going to double every two years at that rate.
	But it was a plan that would allow competition.
	It would allow choice.
	It would allow information about, so there could be an intelligent consumer in the marketplace.
	And it would give you some purchasing power that you currently don't have by maybe letting you use your money to buy health care or to buy insurance before you send it to Washington.
	What a novel idea. So now we're starting to see a little bit of that come out.
	And as they're saying, Trump is going to take executive action.
	Now it's looking like this is very close.
	President Trump had talked about that.
	Rand Paul had talked about that.
	Could sponsor insurance plans that cost less because, for example, they wouldn't have to offer the full menu of benefits required under the so-called Affordable Health Care Act that we call Obamacare.
	Again, if we're going to, as the New York Magazine is wringing their hands and saying, this could really gut Obamacare.
	It's like, seriously, do you really?
	Do we care about Affordable Health Care?
	Or do we care about the Affordable Health Care Act?
	Is it this bureaucracy, this mandate, this legacy of Obama, does that have to be preserved at all costs?
	Or do we really want to get serious about helping people to afford health care?
	That's why I said I think it was the greatest gift to Obama ever to call it Obamacare.
	If we call it affordable healthcare, then we realize what nonsense this is.
	But, of course, their loyalty is not to the American consumer.
	Their loyalty is not to affordability.
	Their loyalty is to the Obamacare Act itself.
	They say it would make it easier for people, as the New York Magazine is wringing its hands, it'd be easier for people to sign on to healthcare plans that are skimpier than what Obamacare currently allows.
	We can't let people do that.
	We can't let them make choices like that.
	It would mean that they wouldn't have to buy maternity care if they're a single male.
	We can't have that.
	See, that's why the insurance companies wanted this in there.
	Because it could make money for them.
	And that's where they are making the money is in terms of those types of mandates, things that people would not buy.
	Instead, they say the Trump administration may allow individuals even, not just businesses, but might allow individuals to use this loophole.
	Now, freedom of choice and having a marketplace in America is called a loophole.
	It could let them pay lower premiums than the Affordable Health Care Act allows.
	It's not affordable, is it?
	Because you can't buy lower premiums.

	We have trade deals to manage our economy that not even our elected representatives are allowed to see.
	Later in life, Patrick Henry looked back and said, when the American spirit was in its youth, the language of America was different.
	Liberty, sir, was the primary object.
	Today, our primary concern is safety and comfort.
	When we should be demanding liberty.

	I'm David Knight on this Columbus Day 2017.
	I was just talking about the fact that the rumored executive orders from President Trump that Rand Paul had been discussing with him that would free up some of our choice.
	And as the liberal magazines, the New York Magazine was saying, this could gut Obamacare.
	Well, let's hope so.
	Let's hope so. There's a number of ways that we can do it.
	Of course, it's going to fail on its own.
	My only concern is that something that President Trump would do would bail out the failure of Obamacare Socialism.
	It's going to fail. It is failing now.
	You cannot sustain a situation where the people are being forced to buy insurance that doesn't make any sense, that their premiums are going up.
	In some cases, in California, they're going up.
	There was the article about the retired couple.
	Both of them had been electrical engineers.
	They had put a lot of money aside.
	And they said, we can't afford this.
	We cannot afford the rising health care costs.
	They're going up 32% a year.
	And if you look at that, it takes only about just a little over two years to double your health care costs.
	And that's what many people are finding.
	They're finding that this has happened over the few years that we've had Obamacare.
	It is not sustainable. Nothing about this is sustainable.
	They can't even give these subsidies without stealing money from Fannie and Freddie investors.
	That's what Dr. Jerome Corsi uncovered in his investigation, talked about how They pulled all the profits that had returned to profitability, had gone under the federal government's control after the 2008 mortgage meltdown.
	And, of course, the individuals who had milked that for everything that it was worth and had gotten tens of millions of dollars in commissions, none of them went to jail.
	But they put it under receivership, essentially.
	It returned to profitability, and rather than having the money go back to the private investors who had invested in it, many of them for their retirement, because it had always been considered to be a very safe investment, you're investing in mortgages that are insured by the federal government, but instead the federal government stole all the money.
	They didn't call it theft. They called it a net asset sweep.
	But it's theft, no matter what they call it.
	They might not call it theft when they take your car under civil asset forfeiture, but they haven't charged you with a crime.
	They haven't found you guilty.
	They just say, well, your car, your airplane, or your home, we think it was somehow involved with drugs.
	You, not you, not you, just your airplane.
	So we'll take your airplane, and we'll call it civil forfeiture.
	And we're not going to find you guilty.
	We're not even going to charge you with anything.
	We'll just take it. Well, that's what they did to fund Obamacare, too.
	We have a government that is nothing other than outright theft.
	And they don't even try to put a happy face on it anymore.
	All they do is they come up with an acronym, net asset sweep, or civil asset forfeiture.
	Which means they're going to take your stuff.
	They're just thieves. They're highway robbers.
	As Lysander Spooner said, the only difference between a highway robber and a government is that the highway robber will take your purse and leave you alone.
	The government will steal your stuff and then follow you down the road nagging you.
	Well, that's never been the case more than it is today.
	And so when we look at the situation that how Obamacare is funded, it's funded by theft.
	It is funded by mandates.
	It is funded by making you buy insurance that you don't want, that you can't afford, and then stealing money from other people, investors, as well as the people who are paying these expensive premiums.
	That's why it's so expensive, because they're stealing money from you, and they're handing it to other people.
	A lot of those other people are wealthy insurance companies that they're handing that money to.
	It's not the poor. It's the wealthy insurance companies that are getting these subsidies.
	It's the wealthy insurance companies that wanted to force Single males to buy maternity insurance.
	And so it's not insurance. It's not insurance if your homeowner's insurance pays for your lawn to be mowed or your house to be painted.
	That's not insurance.
	You get insurance in case a plane flies under your house, like the world according to GARP. So that's insurance.
	It's for something that's catastrophic.
	And what they're saying here is that people should be allowed to just buy that if they want.
	But the left says that's a skimpier policy.
	That would gut Obamacare.
	We can't destroy Obamacare.
	No, we can. And we have to if we're going to have affordable health care.
	That's what they called it. And so that's what it's really about.
	It's whether or not we're really going to have health insurance or whether we're going to have mandates and taxes that make health insurance unaffordable, that causes everything to crash by design.
	So then they can bring in single payer, which means that only the government will be allowed to control your health care.
	And then they'll add all kinds of things like mandatory vaccines and do this and do that, conditions to it.
	So that you can't get health care from them, the only provider of health care, unless you jump through all their hoops and their other mandates.
	But there's something else here that is on the horizon.
	And as we're talking about the Liberty Act, which is going to reauthorize Section 702 of the Patriot Act, the cynical lies of these people.
	That's why I would not believe a thing these people said about any event, Especially this shooting in Las Vegas, as we see their wish list, their shopping list of prohibitions.
	I mean, these people who are such cynical liars, coming up with the Liberty Act now to reauthorize Section 702.
	Remember, Section 702, and Michael Hayden said, when he was talking to people at Washington, he says, I didn't need Section 702.
	702, that's such a safe haven.
	He said, I had an order directly from the President.
	That's what it's turned out to be now.
	It's a dictatorship, folks.
	That is called a dictatorship.
	We say, I don't need the law.
	I don't need the Constitution.
	I've got a direct order from the President.
	Remember when Richard Nixon said, it's not illegal if the President does it?
	Yeah, it is still illegal.
	Except that we used to impeach people who did illegal things as the President.
	We don't do that anymore. We give them a pass.
	Not a problem. And if you're a candidate like Hillary Clinton, you can do whatever you want to.
	It's not illegal if Hillary Clinton does it.
	It's not illegal if the NSA does it.
	It's not illegal if the IRS does it.
	And now they are doing it.
	You know, I've talked many times about the politicization of our surveillance state.
	And I've talked many times to William Benny, the former global head of technology for the NSA. And he has said that what we have now is far worse, already far worse, than anything he witnessed in the decades that he was watching Stasi East Germany.
	Far worse than anything we ever saw in Stasi East Germany.
	And so he's a whistleblower.
	He blew the whistle way before Ed Snowden did.
	People didn't pay much attention to the NSA whistleblowers who warned us right after September 11th what these guys were up to.
	And then in this election, what have we seen?
	We've seen the heads of intelligence, people like Michael Hayden, people like James Clapper, who wouldn't know the truth, wouldn't be able to tell.
	One of these pathological liars like Hillary Clinton.
	And keep that man away from Las Vegas.
	He's got the worst poker face you've ever seen.
	But James Clapper, John Brennan, Michael Hayden, all these guys are so politicized.
	And we know that they were using the surveillance state as a political weapon and still are against President Trump, against anybody who is associated with him.
	And now, if you think that this doesn't affect you, pay attention to this story.
	U.S. Intelligence Unit is accused of illegally spying on Americans' financial records for the IRS.
	The Treasury Department's Office of Intelligence and Analysis has been illegally rifling through and filing away private financial records of U.S. citizens, say Treasury employees.
	One said this is such an invasion of privacy.
	Well, of course it is.
	That's why we have the Fourth Amendment.
	The Fourth Amendment says you will have privacy in your person, your effects, and so forth.
	And they say that doesn't include anything that we get in the digital world.
	It's the same argument that they make to take away your privacy, but they use to take away firearms.
	They say, well, you know, these aren't papers.
	These are electronic records.
	And they say, well, the firearms that they had at the time they wrote the Second Amendment were muskets.
	And these aren't muskets. These are semi-automatic.
	Oh, these are assault rifles. I'm sorry.
	They don't get technical enough to call it semi-automatic or full automatic or whatever.
	They just say, these are assault rifles.
	So you don't have any protections on this.
	See, the principles remain the same.
	And we had those principles and we had those prohibitions because human nature remains the same.
	Men in power are corrupted by power.
	That's what Lord Acton told us.
	And it was as true today in the 21st century, if not more so, than it was at the time Lord Acton wrote that.
	Because they have far more power, as William Benny pointed out, far more power at their disposal than they ever did.
	And they are far more corrupt than we have ever seen in our lives because of that power.
	It is a new kind of corruption.

	We see now appeasement on the issues of gun control coming up in the wake of the Las Vegas shooting.
	We see appeasement from the NRA, from the GOP.
	We see appeasement in the Trump administration in terms of the dreamer amnesty that's coming out there.
	We've got to understand that really the source of all this is coming from the left, coming from Hollywood in particular, because they're the ones...
	That are the instruments in terms of trying to shame everybody.
	Trying to push this kind of social manipulation that we have going on here.

	Lorne Michaels, who is the creator of SNL, when I see his question about that, he said, ah, it's a New York thing.
	We're not going to hammer him. He's from New York.
	He gets a pass on sexual harassment.
	Not Donald Trump, though, who is also from New York.
	And then we see the way that conservatives are treated.
	James Woods is now saying he has to retire from acting because he's blacklisted because he's a conservative.
	He didn't hurt anybody. He's not accused of hurting anybody.
	His crime is conservative political thought.
	The one thing that cannot be tolerated by the political left, by Hollywood, conservatism, conservative thought.
	Meanwhile, as we see other sex crimes going on, the Clintons, the Obamas are hanging on to the millions that this guy raised for him.
	He's politically connected.
	And we see the Cardinal Pell case, this guy that's been brought back to Australia on charges of pedophile abuse there.
	They now have up to 50 witnesses there.
	But of course, it's okay, because he's got political connections.
	Maybe something will happen to him, I don't know.
	I want to talk now about what's going on with HIV and hepatitis in California because this is a story that is getting traction now.
	The bill was signed on Friday by Governor Jerry Brown.
	It's something that I talked about three weeks ago.
	So, you know, if you want to know what's going to be happening in three weeks, join us every day at 8 a.m.
	here on The Real News to find out what everybody else is going to be talking about three weeks from now.
	But it's important to go back and revisit this.
	Now that it has become law, I talked about it as the Senate had passed on this, what was happening, that they're now going to not treat it as a crime if you knowingly expose people to HIV, because HIV has got civil rights protections.
	Here's that clip. We talked about this three weeks ago, along with what's going on in San Diego, as they're told.
	Now let's take a look at what's going on in California.
	Because, you know, they say, we've got to have this because we've got to have herd immunity.
	Remember, you've heard that? It's a herd mentality.
	But they call it herd immunity. And they say, even if I get vaccinated, you can get me sick if you don't get vaccinated.
	We always say, well, evidently your vaccines don't work, right?
	And take a look at what they're doing in California.
	They're saying that now knowingly exposing other people to HIV should no longer be a felony.
	This is what a state senator is saying.
	On Wednesday, they voted no.
	They voted rather to no longer make it a felony for someone infected with HIV to knowingly expose others to the disease by having unprotected sex without telling his or her partner about the infection.
	The crime would be downgraded to a misdemeanor.
	And the bill would also apply to people who donate blood or semen without telling the blood or semen bank that they have acquired AIDS or have tested positive for HIV. This is coming from a Democrat senator in San Francisco.
	Where else? Okay? And who else, I would say.
	And then they say these laws are irrational and discriminatory to criminalize knowingly infecting other people with the disease.
	Maybe they're concerned. That you can go to jail for knowingly infecting other people with HIV. Maybe we can start jailing our politicians for knowingly infecting us with other diseases.
	Because in San Diego, they've got a hepatitis outbreak.
	Haven't heard too much about it, have you?
	16 people have died.
	That's maybe more than we had with one of the hurricanes here in the United States.
	421 sickened and 16 die just in San Diego from a hepatitis A outbreak.
	And this is as of September the 12th.
	This is a week old, those numbers.
	They said this is an outbreak of unprecedented proportion.
	We haven't seen an outbreak of this nature as relates to hepatitis A before.
	They said if a person is infected with hepatitis A and they use a bathroom, they don't wash their hands, they can spread the contaminant in the environment.
	And what increased the risks?
	Poor sanitation, lack of safe water, traveling to areas of high endemics without being immunized.
	And of course, that would include people coming here from areas that have poor sanitation or lack safe water.
	That would be our... So again, that was what I said about this three weeks ago.
	Now it's gotten everybody's attention.
	Now everybody is saying that this outbreak of hepatitis A in San Diego is among the nation's worst in decades.
	It has increased. It was 421 when I gave that report.
	Now it's 481 people have been infected.
	Not 16, but 17 have died.
	So another person has died.
	And it continues to go on.
	When we go back to this HIV crisis, We're good to go.
	The individual who was a physician who was pushing this very hard, it was introduced by a guy named Weiner from San Francisco, but Senator Richard Pan from Sacramento, the guy who has taken the lead on mandatory vaccination, is the guy who argued that prohibitions on people is the guy who argued that prohibitions on people intentionally spreading HIV undermines public health to imprison those people.
	That's what he argued.
	But he wants to imprison people who don't take the vaccines that he wants.
	And we've seen that happen already with a mother just outside of Detroit.
	That happened last week.
	And we got grandparents in Kansas who are having their two-year-old grandson taken away from them to be mandatorily vaccinated.
	No freedom there, but we have freedom for AIDS, freedom for immigrants who bring in hepatitis A.

	Back in the old days, real journalists would question, you know, the official narrative.
	Real journalists would say, hey, something doesn't look right here.

	But of course, real journalists quit doing that long ago, and the mainstream media basically regurgitates whatever the Associated Press and the New York Times tells them to think.
	So it's up to us and the alternative media to ask the hard questions.
	And so that's what I did. I published an article with 16 unanswered questions about the Las Vegas shooting.
	It was picked up by Zero Hedge, which was subsequently linked to by the Drudge Report.
	It's now been read over 1.6 million times.
	And so I just asked six...
	I just asked 16 basic questions because we didn't have the answers.
	Nobody knows. Almost everybody out there is asking questions about this event.
	Just looking at it, something doesn't add up.
	It appears that this guy had some kind of help.
	Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo says, hey, it looks like he didn't act alone.
	He's just a conspiracy theorist.
	He doesn't know what he's talking about. That sheriff is just a conspiracy theorist.
	The sheriff investigating it.
	And of course, that's the way any investigation is done, isn't it?
	You look at it and you say...
	Well, this is one thing that could happen.
	That's another thing that could happen.
	And then you start eliminating things as you do your investigation.
	We've all seen the Sherlock Holmes movies or the Columbo movies.
	Just one more thing.
	I have this question to ask you about this.
	And so that is an ordinary process that people go through.
	And conspiracy is the most frequently leveled charge against anyone.
	Of course, when they... Put charges against you.
	One of the things that they're going to add typically is going to be conspiracy to commit a bank robbery, for example.
	If they're accusing you of robbing a bank and you talked to anybody else about it or you had people working with you, they're going to add that on there in addition to the bank robbery charges.
	And so that's the most frequently applied charge anywhere by the government is conspiracy.
	All that means is that more than one person was involved.
	And so it clearly looks, as the sheriff is saying, it looks like there's more than one person involved.
	That would be a conspiracy.
	It must be a conspiracy theorist.
	Go ahead. Yeah, David.
	So the Idaho statesman puts out this huge article calling me a conspiracy theorist.
	They're saying, look at this guy running for office.
	He's pushing Las Vegas shooting conspiracy theories.
	But all I did was ask questions because we've got this deranged woman 45 minutes before the event going out into the crowd telling them they're all going to die.
	That's very strange.
	Then we had all over the police scanners, law enforcement, It's talking about potential other shooters.
	They're talking about shooters from the middle of the building, the 10th floor.
	They're talking about Gate 7.
	They're talking about all these places where other shooters are being reported.
	And then, of course, we've got a whole host now of eyewitnesses saying there were other shooters, including the guy that was literally saying next That door to Steven Paddock on the 32nd floor as an Australian man saying, hey, I was in the room literally next door and there were more than one shooter in there.
	So, you know, something doesn't add up.
	Can we not ask the questions?
	We've got all these pieces of evidence.
	And yet the Idaho statesman saying, I'm not allowed to do that.
	As a political candidate running for office, Michael, don't you know you're not supposed to question reality?
	You're not supposed to question the official narrative?
	So they're attacking me just like they're attacking Donald Trump.
	But I'll tell you what, you know, so they're trying to label me as a conspiracy theorist.
	But you know what, David? I can tell you already that we're hearing the whispers and there's going to be a huge effort in this campaign to tie me To you guys, to tie me to David Knight, to Alex Jones, to InfoWars, and to say, hey, look, and the establishment here, they're scared to death that someone like me with close ties to you guys could end up being the member of Congress from our state.
	They're freaking out, and so they want to make a huge deal of it.
	But you know what I'm going to tell them when they bring that up and try to attack me on that?
	I'm going to say, I'm proud to stand with David Knight.
	I'm proud to stand with Alex Jones and InfoWars.
	These guys are fighting for America.
	I'm fighting for America.
	And so I'm just going to be proud of Yeah, absolutely.
	Well, you've got nothing to be ashamed of.
	You've done excellent work over the years, and you have always tried...
	Look, all we can do is try to be honest with people and say, this just doesn't add up.
	I mean, we just had, as we pointed out, the sheriff saying, you know, this doesn't look right.
	And we had the deputies, as we played earlier, that said...
	Yeah, they had all the guns just stacked up like a gun store.
	Does that sound like a scene where this guy is desperately shooting out one gun, throwing it down and grabbing another one and shooting that till it's finished or till it melts down or whatever?
	He's got them all lined up there like it's a store for Dianne Feinstein to go along and say, yeah, we want to outlaw that one, that one, that one.
	And that went over there. I mean, that sounds like to me it's a shopping list for prohibition.
	So there's a lot of things that look phony to us and look phony to the Las Vegas Police Department.
	Yeah, and then Laura Loomer has uncovered that he actually checked in three days before we are told.
	I mean, isn't there maid service in this place?
	Notice all those guns?
	Or how did he get all those guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition up to his room without anybody noticing?
	And then this is apparently a guy who was not a huge gun guy, didn't have military training.
	And yet he's using all this advanced equipment.
	And people pointed out that he couldn't have fired off all these rounds and done so much damage without having some type of training.
	I mean, there's so many things that don't add up.
	But we're not allowed to ask any questions.
	We're not allowed to talk about these things, you know.
	Michael, you know, I don't know if you heard it yesterday, but Steve Wynn went on, and he talked to Chris Wallace, and he was just talking about how, yeah, we profile everybody that comes in, and of course they do, because as we've seen with the movie 21, where they had an MIT math team, and they started doing card counting and playing blackjack, and they were winning big time.
	So what they do is they get restraining orders against people, and if you come back into, they don't break your leg or anything, what they do is they use lawyers, which It's far worse.
	They'll take everything that you've got if you come back to their casino after they got a restraining order.
	So yeah, they're watching everybody that comes in, and they're putting them against their database.
	They know these people.
	He said, we knew this guy.
	And he said, we saw him as somebody who didn't drink.
	Now, other people have said that he drank quite a bit.
	But then he makes the unusual statement of saying, and we don't allow anybody to get back into our security, our service elevators.
	And Chris Walsh goes, he was in the service elevator?
	That would make sense with all the stuff that he had to get up there that the deputies are talking about.
	They said he had an incredible amount of stuff up there.
	I would imagine perhaps maybe he did get into the service elevator, especially if Steve Wynn said that.

	All right, Michael, we were talking before we went to break about the strange comments that have surfaced yesterday by many people on the Sunday talk shows.
	We had Steve Wynn, who has the Wynn Hotel there, and he was saying, well, you know, we don't let anybody in our service elevator.
	And Chris Wallace says, he was on the service elevator?
	Well, I'm not saying that he was.
	But, you know, with all the stuff that he had to get up there, that would be, or whoever was doing it, that would be one thing about it.
	We also had the strange comments about the note.
	Everybody said, was this a suicide note?
	And they said, well, he was working out ballistic trajectories here.
	It's like, Seriously? Somebody who's doing a spray-and-pray type of firing on a mass crowd?
	And then, of course, we had a video that we played of some people who worked on the bipod that we saw on his rifle, and they said, see, this doesn't work with a bump stock.
	There are some bipods that you can get that work with that, but not that one.
	And so there's a lot of stuff that's looking very suspicious about this, but the key thing that I want to talk to you about as somebody who's running for Congress is what is Dianne Feinstein up to?
	And I want to play this clip of Dianne Feinstein yesterday and get your comments on it.
	Here's what Dianne Feinstein said.
	No law would have stopped the Las Vegas gunman.
	And said, this is a well-to-do man.
	He wasn't mentally ill.
	He wasn't a criminal.
	He wasn't a juvenile.
	He wasn't a gangbanger.
	And he was able to buy 40 weapons over a period of time, have 12 bump stocks, line them up, break through two windows in his hotel suite, and take aim At tens of thousands, well I guess over a thousand people at a concert.
	And this was such a cross-section of America that it really struck at every one of us that this could happen to you and we want to stop it.
	Could there have been any law passed that would have stopped him?
	No. He passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions.
	Okay, Michael, so this is really different.
	We've never heard this before. Always in the past, it's like, we can stop this if we have more laws.
	And usually what they're offering first is a background check.
	And she's saying, no, he passed all the background checks and no laws would have stopped him.
	What do you think she's up to? Well, I mean, what is she saying?
	They've got to take away, they've got to pass a law to take away all guns.
	Is that what she's saying? Mr.
	and Mrs. America, turn them all in.
	Yeah, and ultimately this is a dream scenario for gun control advocates.
	So, you know, we have to look at that, is that whoever set this up or whoever was, you know, imagining this event, the end result is there's a massive push for gun control.
	That's one of the results that happened as a result of this.
	And where they're saying, well, you know, hey, even if people had their guns, they couldn't fire back, we can't let people do this.
	And so this is a moment of truth for those who believe in the Second Amendment.
	And so, you know, we're already seeing some members of Congress, some Republican leaders waiver.
	Well, what we want to hear from people, those of us that love the Second Amendment, is, hey, we're never going to waiver.
	We believe in the Second Amendment.
	The Second Amendment works.
	I mean, you look at cities like Chicago, which have, you know, some of the strongest gun control laws in the entire country, but they've also got the most gun violence, because criminals are always going to get guns.
	You know, people who do bad things are always going to find a way to get weapons.
	So we need to stand up for the Second Amendment, because it's going to come under assault like never before.
	And so, David, you know, but this is a moment of truth for those who believe in the Second Amendment and for those who don't.
	And, you know, when you talk about Chicago, the first thing I think about with Chicago is prohibition.
	Al Capone. That was alcohol prohibition.
	Drug prohibition is what's causing all these people to get shot.
	And, of course, they have a lot of prohibitions about guns.
	And it's not going to help anything if they have gun prohibition.
	It's not going to be any more effective than alcohol or drug prohibition was.
	And so that's the thing that people need to understand.
	Regardless, you know, we're journalists.
	We look at things like the who, the what, the why, the how.
	And those questions need to be asked, and we shouldn't shy away from asking those questions of the official story.
	But the real issue here is taking away our freedom, and I think that's the core thing.
	That's why we need people like you in Congress.
	Let's talk in the time that we got left about economics, because you've got economiccollapseblog.com, and of course we're looking at the tax reform that is being put out there.
	This is a do-or-die issue.
	Tell us why it is do-or-die to get this through.
	Yeah, well, the Republicans haven't done much of anything else, so they need a victory.
	But also, it's so important for our economy.
	For example, the corporate tax rate, which, you know, we've got one of the highest.
	There's only two countries that have a higher corporate tax rate on the entire planet.
	We need to bring that down dramatically.
	In fact, most countries in the Western world have a corporate tax rate that's less than half of what we have.
	And so what that does, it encourages businesses to locate in other countries and to send jobs to other countries.
	So we need to dramatically lower that to get a level playing field so we can encourage businesses and jobs to stay here.
	That's right.
	We've been incentivizing outsourcing of jobs when we have a high corporate tax rate.
	It's a bottom line, isn't it? Oh, it absolutely is.
	And then for decades, what we've done because of high taxes, because of all the ridiculous regulations, we've been killing small business.
	And, you know, the creation of small business, and small businesses are the primary engine of job growth traditionally in this country.
	Ever since the first Bush, Bush Sr., and then Clinton, and then Bush Jr., and then Obama, each administration, the number of new businesses started per 1,000 Americans has gone down.
	It really dropped under Obama.
	So we need to crank that up again if we're going to have the Americans.
	If we're going to grow our economy, we need businesses to be created.
	And in order to do that, we need a low tax environment for small business.
	We need to reduce regulations.
	So this is absolutely key as well.
	And so people are watching this.
	And if Republicans don't get this done either, like they failed with Obamacare, they failed with the wall, they failed in defunding Planned Parenthood and just about everything else on the agenda, well, the voting base is going to be furious.
	We're going to get to the midterm elections.
	And the Democrats, they've got all kinds of enthusiasm.
	And they're gonna wipe us out.
	So the Republicans need to do something.
	I mean, right now, 2018 is looking really, really bad for the Republican side.
	We've got to get something done.
	And one of the best ways we can stimulate the economy is by cutting taxes.
	Cutting taxes is always good for the economy.
	Raising taxes always slows down economic activity, if you look back throughout history.
	And, you know, we have people like Bob Corker and John McCain, the people who are the GOP establishment, who have stood in the way of any meaningful changes in Washington, enacting any part of the Trump agenda.
	They're standing there opposing this now, Bob Corker in particular.
	And the details of this have not even been released yet.
	We've got broad general outlines.
	It's like, look, we're going to simplify things.
	We're going to double the standard deduction for the middle class.
	And we're going to take away the deductions for rich people in states that have very high income taxes.
	And the Democrats go ballistic on that and say, you can't have that.
	And we talk about killing small business.
	The thing that kills small business as well as the regulations is the death tax.
	When somebody dies with a family farm or something, they have to sell at a distressed cell in order to be able to pay the taxes.
	They have to sell their business or their farm in order to keep that going.
	So there's some really good things in here.
	We don't know exactly how the rates are going to be there, but we've got the establishment Republicans already opposing it like Bob Corker.
	That's why the primaries that are coming up, people like you, that's why it's going to be so important for people to get involved at the primary time.
	Oh, it absolutely is, which is next spring.
	People need to realize, David, that if we don't vote for pro-Trump candidates, people that are going to help move this agenda forward next spring, then we get to November 2018, the midterm elections, that what we're going to end up with is a Democrat versus an anti-Trump establishment Republican.
	And what kind of choice is that?
	It's not a choice. So we need to move this.
	And as far as taxes, David, you go back.
	Between 1872 and 1913, there was no income tax.
	And of course, there was no Federal Reserve either.
	It was the best period of economic growth in U.S. history.
	So whatever we can do to lower rates in the short term, whatever we can do to simplify in the short term is going to be a great thing.
	But ultimately, the long-term goal, and we should never waver from this, is getting rid of the income tax entirely, like Ron Paul once proposed.
	And we can get back to that if we dramatically shrink the size of government You're absolutely right.
