Time Text
Thank you.
Hey guys.
Welcome to a big, breaking news edition of Triggered.
Huge, even.
A lot of us are still in a bit of shock after last night's collision just outside Reagan National Airport.
There's a lot of updates coming in, and we're going to bring you the latest.
In fact, Congressman Corey Mills will join us.
Corey is an Army veteran with, obviously, deep knowledge of Black Hawk helicopters and their operation.
He'll provide us the latest updates that he has.
We also have Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn who questioned Kash Patel today at his Senate confirmation hearing.
You may have seen some of the clips, but she'll be here to give us her reaction to today's hearing and the absolute ridiculousness of the Democrats.
in that committee.
Hopefully we get cash across the line because I'd love the FBI getting back to doing, I don't know, stuff that the FBI is supposed to be doing, not spying on concerned parents at PTA meetings and allowing bad people who are always on their radar to get away with doing whatever terrible things they're doing.
So it seems logical to me, but again, we don't live in a logical world anymore.
We're hoping to bring back some of that normalcy, some of that sanity.
We're hoping to make common sense common yet again.
We'll also cover the hearings from Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. as Democrats are showing us that they're not really all that serious about getting real reformers into government who actually want to fix things.
It's strange.
Republicans, usually the weak ones, they go along with the Democrats on all their votes.
How many Republicans, countless, voted for Mayorkas, voted for the Attorney General that Joe Biden put up who weaponized justice against us, Merrick Garland.
They've all voted for him, for the most part.
And yet, we can't even have common sense reformers get any Democrat support.
It's disgusting, but I hope you guys are paying attention and that these guys keep digging their own graves for the future, because they're not about America, they're certainly not about freedom, and we gotta vote them out so we can get more done in this next precious four years.

And we'll get to some of that news in just a moment, but also don't forget about our brave sponsors, including a brand new sponsor, and this one's close to my heart because I have a lot of them, Henry Repeating Arms.
They're a family...
Owned, made in the USA, rifle, handgun company, and they make a line of lever action rifles, shotguns, and revolvers that can't be beat.
They're awesome.
Again, made in the USA, built here proudly.
If you can't make it in the USA, they don't want to do it.
Awesome stuff for yourself.
For fun.
To get kids in the game.
I have countless of them and I have for many years so it's awesome to see them here as a new sponsor.
Their product lines have a lifetime guarantee all done with first class customer service.
There's options and solutions for everyone and every season including hunters, outdoorsmen.
Home and land defense, women, youth, and even collectors.
I have some pretty nice ones that are engraved.
They just do an awesome job.

And with that, guys, let's get into the top headlines.
At this hour, unfortunately, at least 28 bodies have been pulled out of the Potomac River after an American Airlines jet carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided with an Army Blackhawk helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport at around 9 p.m.
last night.
Crews were still searching for other casualties, but did not believe there were any survivors, which would make it the deadliest U.S. crash in nearly 24 years, I believe since 9-11.
There's an ongoing investigation inside the FAA and NTSB.
And while there's no official cause at this point, there is growing sentiment that the helicopter pilots may have confirmed visual on the wrong aircraft and may have not even seen the aircraft they crashed into.
Passengers on the flight include a group of figure skaters, their coaches and family members who are returning from a development camp following the U.S. figure skating championships in Wichita.
It's just a terrible event, a terrible day.
Here's Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and my father speaking about it earlier today.
Entering office.
I signed something last week that was an executive order very powerful on restoring the highest standards of air traffic controllers and others, by the way.
And my administration will set the highest possible bar for aviation safety.
We have to have our smartest people.
It doesn't matter what they look like, how they speak, who they are.
It matters intellect, talent, the word talent.
You have to be talented, naturally talented geniuses.
You can't have regular people doing that job.
They won't be able to do it.
But we'll restore faith in American air travel.
I would echo it as well.
No excuses.
We're going to get to the bottom of this.
We first and foremost from the Defense Department want to pass our condolences to the 64 souls and their families that were affected by this.
Never should happen.
And certainly the three service members, the three soldiers, a young captain.
Staff Sergeant and CW2, Chief Warrant Officer, on a routine annual retraining of night flights on a standard corridor for a continuity of government mission.
The military does dangerous things.
It does routine things on the regular basis.
Tragically, last night, a mistake was made.
I think the President is right.
There was some sort of an elevation issue that we have immediately begun investigating at the DoD and Army level.
Army CID is on the ground investigating.
Top tier aviation assets inside the DoD are investigating, sir, to get to the bottom of it so that it does not happen again because it's absolutely...
This is really an unfathomable tragedy.
It's been 15 years since we've seen any sort of crash like it in American airspace.
And honestly, we can't talk about this without talking about what Biden's FAA has been focused on these last four years.
DEI, or as I call it, DIE. Now, I'm not saying that's even the cause of it, but it certainly doesn't help.
When they call out perhaps the top performers in a test because they don't check enough boxes, whatever it may be, these are the things that we've been doing as a country.
We will, of course, wait until all the facts come out, but there's no doubt that DEI insanity has made our skies less safe.
For example, did you know that under Democrat left-wing leadership, 3,000 top-performing applicants for air traffic controller positions were rejected by the FAA because of their race?
Now, I don't know about you.
I don't care if my air traffic controller is yellow, green, blue, purple, pink.
It doesn't really matter.
I want them to be competent.
But 3,000 top-performing applicants were just totally rejected, just culled.
Because apparently they didn't check other boxes and we need to somehow diversify.
Check this out.
The state's legal foundation is part of a class action on behalf of 900-plus would-be air traffic controllers.
And so we brought this suit based on the FAA's change in its hiring practices.
So it used to be that they would score a pre-employment test, and it would be based on merit.
And all of our clients passed with flying colors.
Many of them passed with 100% on this test.
and the FAA decided that the pool of air traffic controller applicants was too white.
And so they flushed that initial test and they adopted a biographical assessment, which you can already hear is an ominous term for a air traffic controller test.
And unfortunately, our clients didn't pass that.
And we allege that the air traffic, that the FAA changed the test in order to gerrymander the racial.
And remember, we had Darren Beattie on the show a while back who laid out all of this.
So it's been going on a long time.
People are aware of it and doesn't seem to matter.
It's unfortunate that it perhaps takes tragedies like this, even if it's not the cause to have people talking about the risks that should not be.
And another report tonight claims that staffing was, quote, not normal at rate.
We'll wait for more findings on what exactly that means, but it's why we need...
It's why we need actual transparency.
It's why we need to start hiring based on merit and not checkboxes, because this stuff will continue to happen until we do that.
And we, of course, continue to pray for all the victims and their families, and we'll bring you all the latest details as they come in.
But important business continued on Capitol Hill today as Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, And RFK Jr. all appeared in front of the respective committees for their confirmation hearings.
And they were all incredible and showed just why they're the perfect picks to join my father's cabinet.
Kash Patel was subjected to bizarre smear attacks from Democrats who are even claiming they're worried about the weaponization of justice.
Think about that.
Democrats are now magically worried about the weaponization of justice?
Really?
After weaponizing justice for like nine years?
Fake impeachments.
Russia, Russia, Russia.
Jailing innocent people.
Merrick Garland ran roughshod and weaponized the Justice Department like it's never been weaponized before.
But now they're worried about it.
Really?
Well, here's how Cash responded.
All of those statements are taken out.
of grotesque context, and anyone that thinks my 16 years of service is an exemplary on how I would proceed if confirmed as FBI, is intentionally putting false information into the public ether and creating more public discourse.
The only thing that will matter if I'm confirmed as a director of the FBI is a de-weaponized, de-politicized system of law enforcement completely devoted to rigorous obedience of the Constitution and a singular standard of justice.
Sounds pretty good to me.
And he didn't stop there, though.
Here's his response to a question from radical Amy Klobuchar, who questioned Cash's qualifications and credentials.
This is a very nice...
Own.
If the best attacks on me are going to be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility of the men and women at the FBI. I stood with them here in this country.
In every theater of war we have, I was on the ground in service of this nation.
And any...
Accusations leveled against me that I would somehow put political bias before the Constitution are grotesquely unfair.
And I will have you reminded that I have been endorsed by over 300,000 law enforcement officers to become the next director of the FBI. Let's ask them.
Mr. Chairman, I am quoting his own words from September of 2024. It is his own words.
It is not some conspiracy.
It is what Mr Patel actually said himself.
Facts matter.
You forget that you had three minutes in the next round to say what you just said.
Democrats had nothing, guys.
It was the same lies, smears, conspiracy theories, unnamed but really reliable sources and baseless attacks.
Cash is now on the path.
And just a few doors down, Tulsi Gabbard sat for her hearing to be the next director of national intelligence.
Not surprisingly, Senate Democrats want you to believe that Tulsi is some sort of puppet of Russia, which is obviously completely made up, but it seems to be their go-to for anyone they can't handle, for anyone they want to stop.
I know from experience.
And as Tulsi explained, it's the creatures of the swamp who are the real puppets.
I want to warn the American people who are watching at home, you may hear lies and smears in this hearing that will challenge my loyalty to and my love for our country.
Those who oppose my nomination imply that I am loyal to something or someone other than God, my own conscience, and the Constitution of the United States, accusing me of being Trump's puppet, Putin's puppet, Assad's puppet, a guru's puppet, Modi's puppet, not recognizing the absurdity of simultaneously being the puppet of five different puppet masters.
The same tactic was used against President Trump and failed.
The American people elected President Trump with a decisive victory and mandate for change.
The fact is, what truly unsettles my political opponents is I refuse to be their puppet.
As Tulsi explained, endless wars, faulty intelligence, have led to massive failures, which undermines our national security.
Just like the Iraq War, which was based on fabricated intelligence, that's why the swamp doesn't want Tulsi.
Remember, guys, there's no money in peace.
There's only money in war.
And they love to be at war.
She says this out loud for the public to actually hear and understand.
And just next door to that hearing was day two for RFK Jr., for HHS secretary.
And he hit yet another home run.
Check this out.
And our kids are getting sicker and sicker.
They're not getting better.
Nobody here, all the people here who are defending this current system and defending these pharmaceutical industry profits, many of whom are taking Huge amounts of money on the pharmaceutical industry.
Millions of dollars for many of these senators.
And none of that, this is not making our country healthier.
It's making us sicker.
We need to get rid of these conflicts.
We need good science and we need good leadership that is able to stand up to these big industries and not bent over for them.
Thank you.
And you brought to...
He's exactly right, guys.
The biggest defenders of the current health system are the ones who are making money off of it.
Remember, it's sort of like war, right?
I mean, you don't make money if you're not selling missiles.
In health, if you're not getting people to keep buying medicine, why make them healthy if you can keep them sick and keep them dependent?
That's how it unfortunately works.
In the same way, there's no money in health.
There's only money in sickness.
And that's where we find the corruption.
And for all the talk about can RFK Jr. actually be confirmed, here's who Democrats unanimously voted to confirm under Joe Biden for a high-level HHS position, very similar to Bobby Kennedy.
Just remember this.
When they say that Bobby Kennedy isn't qualified or couldn't possibly do it, this is who they unanimously voted for.
Take a look.
I'm Admiral Rachel Levine.
This Black History Month, I'm pleased to partner with OMH in advancing better health through better understanding for black communities.
Climate change is having a disproportionate effect on the physical and mental health of black communities.
Black Americans are more likely than white Americans to live in areas and housing that increase their susceptibility to climate-related health issues.
And 65% of Black Americans report feeling anxious about climate change's impact.
Through our Office of Climate Change and Health Equity and the Office of Environmental Justice, we're working with providers and community leaders to identify innovative approaches that empower communities to address health consequences linked to climate change.
Visit hhs.gov for more information and tune in next Thursday to hear from another HHS leader on how you can contribute to advancing better health for Black communities.
For more information, visit hhs.gov slash black.
That's Admiral Rachel Levine, folks.
Apparently she's very qualified.
He, it, they, them, Zimzer, who the hell knows anymore.
That individual is apparently very qualified, but Bobby Kennedy, who actually could talk about science, apparently isn't in the minds of Democrats.
So keep that in mind.
That's what we're dealing with.
And meanwhile, the Trump administration is doing anything and everything they can to secure our border and to make sure that it actually stays secure.
And that may include sending...
Illegal aliens and criminal aliens to Gitmo.
Yes, Gitmo.
Also signing an executive order to instruct the departments of defense and homeland security to begin preparing the 30,000 person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay.
Most people don't even know about it.
WE HAVE 30,000 BEDS IN GUANTANAMO TO DETAIN THE WORST CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS THREATENING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
SOME OF THEM ARE SO BAD WE DON'T TRUST THE COUNTRIES TO HOLD THEM BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT THEM COMING BACK.
SO WE'RE GOING TO SEND THEM OUT TO GUANTANAMO.
I THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA.
And by the way, while we're at it, why don't we, you know, I don't want to scrap the tours of Alcatraz, but if we need more space, maybe we should open that bad boy back up to the worst of the worst.
It seems like a fitting place.
Guys, we're also now learning that ICE apprehended 1,016 aliens just this Tuesday.
Amongst these were at least 16 Terenderagua gang members and violent criminals charged with murder, child solicitation, and more.
Again, these are the worst of the worst.
These are the people that Biden knowingly let into our country and Democrats are aggressively trying to defend through their mouthpieces in the mainstream media.
Pretty sick.
But hopefully we're all waking up.
And lastly, a very disturbing story out of Washington where reporters say that a transgender individual inspired by charged CEO assassin Luigi Mangione was arrested at the Capitol on Monday with Molotov cocktails, knives, and explosives trying to assassinate Pete Hexeth, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, and others.
Yeah, we've talked about it a lot on the show.
It does seem that the radical trans movement is by far the most violent per capita group in the country.
This just continues to show us that that's the case.
By the way, Scott Besant, I think he's the highest serving ever openly gay treasury secretary, highest member of the cabinet who's gay, and yet I guess that's not going to stop the trans movement from trying to take them out because they're working for Trump.
I mean, that's how sick these people are.
It's a stark reminder that while it's an exciting time, it's also a dangerous time.
And it's just another reason why we need to get these cabinet nominees confirmed as soon as possible to fully execute on the Trump America First agenda immediately.
Guys, joining me now for much more, Florida Congressman, Army veteran Corey Mills.
Corey, how are you, man?
Doing well, brother.
Thanks for having me.
Always.
First off, you know, just the latest that you can perhaps tell us about this crash.
I know you served in the 82nd Airborne in the Army, so you're quite familiar with Blackhawks.
You've been on them a lot.
What happened last night, it does seem unfathomable.
I mean, you know, especially that kind of airspace, right?
I'm a pilot myself, and I mean...
If you're, you know, on there with commercial airlines, I mean, they're on, you know, IFR approaches.
I mean, how does this happen, you know, in that kind of airspace on a really clear night?
Yeah, that's a great question.
I think that's where the NTSB investigation is going to be so important to determine whether or not the ADSB was turned on, the transponders were actually doing what they're supposed to do to ensure that you're getting everything up and running.
But also, I'm surprised that the TAUS, the train awareness system that's utilized on a lot of these fixed-wing aircraft, was not actually going off and letting them know at what level something was actually coming in and where.
And so ATC also, I'd love to hear some of their communication platforms or where they were communicating with both aircraft and which individual spaces, whether someone actually overshot the runway or overshot the turn.
There's so much to look at.
But look, before we get into the investigation, look, our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers to every single one of the souls that was lost in this horrific incident.
And I know that they're starting to release some of the names.
They're starting to release some of the families.
And it's just horrific what's what's taking place.
And hopefully we can do an investigation to prevent this in the future.
Yeah.
So, I mean, obviously, you know, a plan on final approach is descending.
But usually if you're in a traffic pattern and you're going in opposing directions, they usually have you at different altitudes, odd, even depending on which which you're doing.
So, I mean, it does still strike me as a little bit odd that they'd be flying at exactly the same level.
Well, it strikes me as a bit odd, but again, it also is just strange that none of the early detection systems, from the little bit of ATC traffic that I've heard, I didn't hear anything from the American Airlines that was indicating that they were actually on a collision pattern.
I heard nothing from the actual Blackhawk himself on whether or not they had detected or had eyes on.
A lot of times when we're in the air, the ATC will actually say, look, you've got an aircraft, you know, traveling at this, you know, altitude.
Do you get eyes on?
And, you know, you'll tell them, hey, look, I'll look for that.
And then you'll go ahead and indicate that you have eyes on that traffic.
I didn't really hear a whole lot of that.
And so I'm really curious to just get the full NTSB investigation and determine.
And look, this is why it's great to have Secretary Sean Duffy and Secretary Pete Hegseth, who will both be involved in this investigation to be able to get the truth out to the American people and what truly took place.
Yeah, I'm not even saying that, you know, this is part of it yet.
But, you know, I've been talking about on the show.
I think we've maybe even spoken about it in person.
You know, the sort of disqualification of 3,000 of the most qualified people, meaning people who scored the highest on the various aptitude tests, were just left out because, you know, I guess they didn't check some sort of, you know, racial, socioeconomic or otherwise box.
You know, it may not have anything to do with this one, but it certainly doesn't make me feel safer getting on a plane these days.
Well, that's exactly right.
Look, we know for a fact that the DEI platform has basically led to meritocracy being marginalized, and I think that's had a big play in things.
But also in going to the airports around the country, you know, one of the things that I've discussed is the fact that we've got a shortage in air traffic control operators.
One of the gaps that we can actually utilize to try and get that shortage down is to actually have the military ATC operators be able to transition straight in.
Currently, that doesn't exist, which is bizarre to me that you've got...
Some of the most qualified individuals who are operating, you know, military, ATC, you know, aircraft in and out who have to take additional exams and additional transition courses in order to do a job in the civilian world that they're already doing in the military at a much higher and much more stressful rate.
So I think getting that, you know, I sit on the Armed Services Committee.
I sit on three different subcommittees, military readiness, the intelligence special operation, and military personnel.
Getting that transition to allow our military ATC operators to transition to the civilian world should not only get the high qualified operators that we need, but it'll also help with the short failings that we have with regards to ATC operators across the country.
Yeah, I mean, I remember reading, I guess it was the Obama regs initially about this.
They want to make sure that people, you know, who are mentally unstable can get, I mean, like, it's really like when you read the list, it was almost like You know, watching an episode of South Park, like they really wait.
They want someone who has mental issues.
I mean, this is some of the most stressful things.
Again, as a pilot myself, you know, the hardest thing is actually not flying a plane.
It's doing all of these things, communicating.
And when you're balancing that kind of airspace, you know, that many planes in that tight of proximity, I mean, that is a serious, you know, high stress job.
You need high functioning people, not just people, you know.
Certainly not who have mental issues.
So I know there's ongoing investigations at the FAA, at the NTSB. What's Congress's role going to be in this investigations, if any?
Because I do feel, you know, hey, as someone who flies 300,000 miles a year, probably, on commercial aircraft, this does not exactly strike confidence, you know, when I get on those planes.
Well, you know, as a pilot, you know, our main thing is to aviate, navigate and communicate.
And it's exactly in that order.
And we have to continue to understand that this is a Bravo airspace.
A lot of people who don't understand what a Bravo airspace is, this is your big commercial airspace, which is one of the most controlled, one of the most highly utilized.
And so there's a lot that needs to be going.
I unfortunately don't sit on the actual transportation infrastructure committee, but I know that they'll be working hand in glove when it comes to what Secretary Duffy is doing as well as for we'll be looking into what's taking place with regards to what was a very experienced crew for this UH-60 Black Hawk crew who is, my understanding was, was just doing but I know that they'll be working hand in glove when it comes to what Secretary Duffy is doing as well as So I'm very intrigued to find out what the details of this is.
I mean, will it actually have changed the outcome of such a horrific and such a devastating thing that's taken place?
No, it will not.
But hopefully it can prevent things in the future and we can look on whether or not ATC had properly communicated what was going on.
Yeah, no, it's scary.
It was worse watching the media somehow try to blame Trump for this.
I mean, he's been in office for like, you know, nine days.
And it's somehow his fault, not the policies of the prior administrations that actually perhaps allow this.
Again, I'm not saying that's even the cause of the case.
I would look at Secretary Buttigieg and what was his actual priorities while he was in office.
I mean, you know, I understand that he was at home utilizing his fake breasts to go ahead and go, you know, into his paternal and maternal leave.
But the reality is, is that where was he with regards to some of the most horrific incidents?
Where was he with East Palestine, Ohio?
Where was he with all the change elements?
Where was he with regards to what the priorities are with outfitting our ATC and even...
Even Dallas.
Dallas-Fort Worth, one of the most utilized airfields.
They haven't had an update in their ATC in quite some time.
So where was there in the necessary allocations and requests for budgeting?
Where was he, you know, in regards to this type of incident and prevention?
So, you know, they can continue to try and point at President Trump, who's been in office for all of a week, and try and say, oh, well, you're the responsibility of this.
But they're going to try and look at, what, four years of wiping their mistakes under the rug?
I mean, it's the same thing that Pete's dealing with, for example, in the Department of Defense, where you got a 42,000 recruitment deficit.
You know, this is where President Trump has now come forward.
Something I fought for for two years and got denied is actually going forward, which is the reinstatement of all of the 8,600 plus who are unconstitutionally purged for our military for a denial of their religious and medical exemptions in regards to the COVID vaccine.
Some of our best and bright fighters.
So, you know, look, they can't keep putting the pressure on your father, who's actually done more in the first week than President Biden did in his entire four years.
Yeah, no, Pete Buttigieg was chest feeding.
He took paternity leave without I think it was months during the midst of a supply chain crisis and all of the disasters there.
It didn't matter because they don't think about these things.
It doesn't really matter.
They don't take it seriously.
It's just he got that job because he checked some boxes too.
It's why he was able to run for president, not because he had any real qualifications, because he was an abject failure as a mayor and whatnot.
But hey, that's the Democrats.
But Corey, you've also been making some big news on several subjects.
I know you just yesterday introduced...
I like this one because it's what happens, but you introduced the DEI to DIE Act.
What will that do, and what could be the impact?
Well, look.
As President Trump continues to sign executive orders, I think it's the mandate of Congress to go ahead and start codifying those into law.
One of the mistakes that we continue to see is where there's this political football.
One administration comes in, does 100, 150 different executive orders to do or undo the previous administration's kind of product, and then you have the exact same thing in the next administration.
What we need to be doing is not allowing the American people to continue to be the ping-pong between this political match.
We need to start codifying into law things that actually matter.
Things like the tax reform plan, things like eliminating DEI, you know, which is diversity, equity, inclusion, which does anything but bring inclusivity, cohesion, and meritocracy back into American, you know, workforce.
And we need to start making sure that that is codified to where it all across all federal governments, bureaus, and agencies, that that is no longer utilized.
And I'm not looking for where they just change the name from DEI to something else.
I'm looking for a complete elimination of funding and the implementation of this.
Well, I'm with you 100%.
I think the American people are as well.
But a story we broke on this show earlier this week, you also uncovered that a Chinese pharmaceutical company that supplies a bunch.
of different products in our healthcare supply chain in hospitals across America, and they're tied to forced labor practices.
Now, you're demanding answers.
What is the national security threat here?
What's fully happening there?
I know we spoke about it on Monday or Tuesday on the show as it broke, but can you give us some of the details on that?
Yeah, look, Helen Biotech has continued to utilize a slave workforce, which is essentially the Uyghurs in certain regions, to go ahead and build certain bio and Meditech production as well as for pharmaceuticals.
And look, we as America need to not only just prevent these types of things from occurring and basically prevent from being a part of that problem, America needs to get more control.
We need to get more control of our economic, our resource, our supply chain, our raw earth materials, our rare earth mineral mining.
We have to stop relying on adversarial nations who are utilizing America as the cash cow to feed their malign agenda.
And so what I've demanded here is not only to look into who has the ownership of this, what actually is going on with regards to human rights abuse and things like this, but I want to look at a full audit of their financials of what nations are also I want a full dump into this, and they can either do it willingly within the 30 calendar days, as my letter requested, or I'll take this to further criminal charges, look at further committee hearings, as well as for further investigations.
But we have to stop trying to be the actual recipients of goods and products that are actually being made with human rights violations and forced labor.
Listen, 100%.
You know, more broadly, I guess, we're seeing, obviously, the new administration is moving at a pretty rapid pace.
Even, you know, the James Carvels of the world just saying, hey, Democrats, just sit back.
They're going to punch themselves out.
You know, they can't keep this pace much longer.
Yada, yada, yada.
I hope they do.
I think they will.
Do you have confidence that the House GOP conference can do the same, that they'll keep up, that they'll keep that energy going, that they'll keep that, you know, sort of the foot on the gas?
Look, we have no choice.
We have President Trump in the White House who doesn't sleep more than three to four hours a day.
The man's an absolute monster.
We've seen him on the campaign trail.
We watched what he did in the first four years.
He did more in the first four years of his administration than most do in two terms.
I mean, you look at the elimination of NAFTA with USMCA. You look at Remain in Mexico agreement.
China phase one deal.
You look at the Abram Accords.
You look at the robustness of our military, the rebalancing our strategic petroleum reserves.
The list goes on and on and on.
Now you're talking about his second term where he has to undo.
We're going to do all of the negativity and all of the actual faux pas that's going on in the Biden administration.
So Congress has an obligation to try and keep pace to feed the president's agenda, but also to help the American people.
I believe Speaker Johnson and leadership is prepared for that, but I will continue to try and nudge them and force them in the right direction to make sure that we're going to codify into law these executive orders so that when President Trump does leave office, that's not going to be political football to be able to undo everything like we saw with the Remain in Mexico agreement.
We're going to make sure this is written into law.
We're going to make it difficult for the Democrats to try and play the executive order game.
And we're going to continue to keep our foot on the gas because the American people and American exceptionalism, the American dream, all that depends on our ability to push over the next four years.
Well, Congressman Mills, thank you very much.
Keep at it.
Really appreciate it.
And I look forward to having you back on soon.
Thanks, brother.
I appreciate you.
Always, man.
Always.
Thank you for what you're doing.

Guys?
Joining me now, Senate Judiciary Committee member, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn.
Marsha, great to have you back on the show.
It is so good to join you, and I've got to tell you, we are off to a running start here in D.C. and had great hearings today with Kash Patel.
Well, you did a great job in there.
I was watching this morning as that was going on.
You questioned Kash Patel at the hearing.
You actually had some serious questions.
Your Democrat colleagues, however, Not so much.
What was your reaction to that, especially sort of through the lens of everything we've gone through for the last nine years, the weaponization of the DOJ, clearly the weaponization of the FBI and the incompetence that we've seen from there.
How do you keep a straight face in that meeting as they're doing their holier than thou nonsense?
Yes, their holier than thou nonsense, and they're trying to rehash things that- You know, are just of no use.
And that is why I asked Cash why the Democrats fear him.
Because, you know, Don, as you listen to their questions and what they were saying and how it was all of this.
Trying to personally attack and go after positions.
They repeatedly tried to discredit him.
And he said he didn't know why they hated him so.
I said, I can tell you why they fear you.
It is because you know what really happened over there at that House Intel Committee.
You are going to clean the cabal out at the FBI, and you are going to get this thing on the right track.
Well, like I said, I think you did a superb job with your questioning because, you know, again, through the lens of the mainstream media, you're never going to get the reality of what's going on.
Cash was on the ground.
He was on the Judiciary Committee, helped Devin Nunes.
He was the first guy to discover that Russia, Russia, Russia was nonsense.
And again, I guess that's why they fear him.
But, Marcia, perhaps talk about the opportunity to restore actual institutional credibility in this new administration.
I think something that's been lacking...
For far too long is that credibility.
I mean, if people were thinking about calling the FBI because there's something there, I think they'd actually question it because they don't know that it's not going to be somehow weaponized against them.
Across the board, we have new cabinet nominees and new secretaries who are making it clear that business as usual is over.
But, you know, quite a few rhinos and almost all of the Democrats are not ready for that yet.
And what we're saying is it is a new day in Washington, D.C. And President Trump is doing a phenomenal job issuing executive orders.
And that is our jump start to straighten out these agencies, to cut the size of the federal government, to reduce federal spending.
And now it is up to Congress to...
Actually pass the laws and pass the bills that will become laws that are going to do that.
So we have a lot of work on our plate to get done.
And the nominees that are coming forward and are being confirmed and are going right to work.
We saw yesterday how quickly Sean Duffy moved forward with his role as the DOT secretary with that horrific plane crash that happened last night.
God rest their souls.
And with how Sean was right.
We saw the day before how Secretary Noem went right into her role and was out with Tom Holman's crews as they were conducting these raids.
And you know, this is what the American people are wanting to see.
They want to see action.
They have grown so fatigued and so frustrated with seeing two tiers of justice at the DOJ and the FBI, two tiers of access to government and government services.
We saw that with FEMA when they were very slow coming into Tennessee, coming into North Carolina.
We have seen how they have had two tiers of treatment.
Because the Biden administration preferenced those that were illegally entering the country and put the burden on people that are citizens of the United States.
So to be working together as a team with an administration, with the president, that is not fearful of what is going to happen if you do an executive order, if you make a move, to have secretaries who...
We're rolling up their sleeves and getting to work on day one.
And my Senate colleagues and our colleagues over in the House who are saying yes.
We are all in.
We are filing bills.
We are preparing to move them through committee.
And we feel like we've got 18 months to get everything turned around.
And then it's going to be time to implement all of this.
So we are not stopping.
We accept the challenge.
Yeah, no, I think that's an important point, right?
We can implement, we can sort of use the executive orders as a catalyst to get things going, but I'd love to see all of these things codified by Congress, the House, and the Senate, so they actually become law, so they can't be undone in the, you know, the very scary scenario of Democrats taking over, either in midterms or perhaps even presidentially in four years.
We need these things into law because...
Common sense is what we're all about.
And unfortunately, it's the only thing that's not that common in Washington, D.C. these days.
Oh, you are so right.
And common sense is what it is about.
But I have to tell you, the thing that has been so encouraging to me is wherever I am in Tennessee or traveling to and from, people will come up to me and they will say, Thank you.
We are so excited.
We are so with President Trump.
We love that you're telling us which bills you're filing and what you're moving on.
People are watching.
They are paying attention.
They're listening to podcasts like yours.
They're gathering their information.
And we have been really a little bit surprised with how people are watching these confirmation hearings.
And Don, you know, that is a great thing because what they're seeing firsthand is how belligerent some of the Democrats are being and how...
Controlled and prepared the nominees that President Donald Trump has selected to be in his cabinet, to be his advisors, to carry out his agenda.
How solid these individuals are.
And I think every time they watch one of these hearings, it increases their confidence in what we are doing and what we have the ability to do.
I'm with you on that.
I mean, Senator, what can you tell us about the timeframe on the remaining nominees?
Again, I think there was a mandate clearly nationally, not just winning all the swing states, but also the popular vote.
I mean, there is a mandate that my father get the cabinet to actually put America first.
What do you see as the timeframe on those remaining nominees?
Do you expect them all to be confirmed?
You know, I've seen, you know, a couple of your colleagues in the Senate on the, you know, let's call it Republican side, we'll use that very loosely or in air quotes, you know, not go along with that.
They're voting with the Democrats.
You know, what do you see here, especially as you get to some of the ones that are perhaps more controversial, whether that's cash, whether that's Bobby Kennedy, or perhaps the one that seems to be the most controversial, I can't actually figure out why, Tulsi Gabbard.
Yeah, and you know, Bobby Kennedy did a superb job yesterday when he came before us at the Finance Committee.
I thought he really did such a solid...
Presentation, representing himself, representing President Trump's opinion and approach.
And I believe we're going to get all of these nominees confirmed.
If we lose a couple of votes, we have a fantastic vice president who is there to break the tie.
What are some of your other top priorities now in the United States Senate?
Once you get through the confirmation process, what do you want to see happen?
You know, in the two years prior to midterms.
Yes.
And we do have to move quickly.
I have a package of bills that I've worked on for years.
And so we have pulled them together in a package.
They're called the Doge Acts.
And it freezes federal hiring and federal salaries.
And we were pleased to see the executive order on that.
You have to do that to cap.
Your federal workforce so you can begin to turn it down.
And I have one that moves a return to work policy and a merit-based promotion system.
Another of that package moves federal agencies outside of Washington, DC. And another that mandates having across the board spending cuts of either one, two or 5% across the board.
These are bills I have had.
We've had for years.
We also have bills that deal with children, with their safety online and in the virtual space, the Kids Online Safety Act.
We have an online consumer privacy bill, which you know, Don, AI is right around the corner.
So we have to make certain that we have online privacy for our citizens so that their information is not captured.
And these big tech companies Don't grab it and build a virtual you of each and every one of us.
We have a rural health agenda that deals with health care innovation, increasing access points, especially in rural areas, expanding telehealth, some incentives for a rural health care workforce.
And Senator Warner and I have worked in a bipartisan manner on the Area Wage Index.
I have a bill, again, I've worked on it for quite a while, and it would fix the Social Security issue so that we increase that threshold.
And then we take away the marriage penalty and individuals making less than $34,000 or married couples more than $68,000.
Everybody under that $34,000 and $68,000 would pay zero federal income tax on their Social Security.
And it exempts a little over 70% of all Social Security recipients from paying one penny of tax.
So, I mean, that all seems like total common sense.
And yet I imagine it's still, I mean, all of it.
I mean, that was a pretty extensive list.
I'd love to see all of that go through, obviously.
But how does that kind of common sense thinking policy clearly benefits the American people?
I imagine if they knew about it, they'd be all in for it.
How does that still face the kind of resistance that you and I both know it's going to face?
You've been talking about these bills for a long time.
Hasn't happened yet.
Hopefully we're in a brave new world.
Maybe people actually start acting brave and getting it done.
But how is that even remotely controversial at this point?
And you think how could it possibly be controversial?
Because these are things that everyone should be for.
You know, we should be thinking about the next generation.
What is our country going to look like for our kids and our grandkids?
How is it going to affect the opportunities that they are going to have?
How do we get government off our backs?
How do we reduce the size of the federal government and send power and authority back to the state?
Back to local communities so they don't have this enormous...
Tax burden of a government that is really going to limit their possibilities.
And that is what we should be talking about.
How do we repatriate manufacturing?
Everybody should agree.
That's a good thing.
And we need to have tax credits.
We need to have incentives for doing that.
When it comes to the border, Don, I've got some bills that are plain common sense.
When President Trump President Trump was president in his first term.
When a child came to the border with an adult that couldn't prove they were related to this child, they did DNA testing.
And we found that between 30 and 40 percent of all the children with those adults were not related to them and they were being trafficked.
Well, the Biden administration said doing DNA testing takes too much time.
So we're going to eliminate that.
You know how long it took to do a DNA test?
45 minutes.
Crazy.
And it is crazy.
And it saved the lives of a lot of children.
So we have legislation to put that back in federal code so that...
Future administrations have to DNA test when a child presents at one of our border crossings or tries to enter the country.
And also we have one that allows fingerprinting so that it would stop this child recycling that the cartels do.
These are all just common sense things.
We are hopeful that the Democrats will eventually realize that President Donald Trump was given a mandate in November, and it is up to us to enact that mandate.
And some of these Democrats that are in red states need to realize that their constituents voted for President Trump and gave that mandate, and they expect them to work with our president and to work with us to get this turned into law and get these laws on the books.
Well, Senator, thank you very much.
I really appreciate your time.
I know you have votes this evening.
So thank you.
Look forward to having you back on soon.
But look forward to doing that.
And any kind of air cover we can give you to make sure that this common sense stuff actually gets codified in the law, just please let us know.
So really appreciate your time and get back out there and fight.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
